We love going here, for example it's a dream to go there on Christmas Eve. You feel incredibly comfortable. The food tastes very tasty and the atmosphere is just great. For the next few years, this restaurant will be our save place on Christmas Eve.

Nice view, service always nice, food well... I was there a year ago and it was better there.

I regularly eat here with my customers for work. Mostly at lunchtime it's not too crowded but always busy. The waiters are attentive and the food comes quickly. The large appetizer platters are very popular with my customers. We like to come here every few weeks.

First of all - based on the location with the view over the Kinzigtal alone, one should rate it better, but after our experience yesterday I unfortunately have to make deductions here. We had an express reservation confirmation (by email and telephone) for Boxing Day at 1 p.m. When we arrived they suddenly said we were too early, we were booked in at 1:30 p.m. and the previous guests were still at the table. We (4 adults, 3 teenagers and 1 baby) had to wait in front of the counter at used tables, there was no service to bridge the waiting time. Our table was in the middle of the next room, quite cramped and almost unbearably loud. Despite a number of wait staff, we had to wait almost 30 minutes for drinks and another hour for food. Unfortunately, the food was pretty bland, especially the pasta lacked salt. Yes, it was a holiday, but if you let the service and food suffer because of it, you have to reduce the number of reservations. We can certainly imagine visiting again in the summer to eat pizza on the terrace, but not on a public holiday.

Das Paradies war mal bekannt für solide italienische Küche. Aber leider war es diesmal nix. Die Pasta war gruselig. Überkocht in ungesalzenem Wasser. Zumindest schmeckten sie so. Auch die Saucen waren geschmacksarm. Die Sterne gibt für den Service und den Ausblick.

Das ist kein Italiener und auch das Essen kann man nicht als italienische Küche bezeichnen. Wer trotzdem gerne hier Essen gehen möchte. Sollte sich Pommes oder etwas Frittiertes bestellen.

Good in pizza, lasagna, pasta. No specialties like Saltimbocca or Vitello Tonnato. All in all good. Large portions. Leftovers are packed up. Thank you for that. Despite the busy atmosphere, friendly and quick. Good and appealing for a destination. Dessert was disappointing, unfortunately. Please revise the tiramisu recipe. Classic only with mascarpone please. Filled chocolate cake was a muffin with chocolate sauce on top. Change the description and it will be fine.

Very tasty food with many different loving dishes. My personal highlight is the spaghetti tossed in a parmesan loaf with black truffles. The boss is usually present and very friendly, the staff is very service-oriented and accommodating. In summer there is a huge, beautiful, partially covered outdoor area. The monthly(?) dinner theater also sounds interesting. But we've never been there before. We come here for dinner very often and are almost never disappointed! Very child-friendly, prices slightly high, but appropriate for the excellent food!

Hello, it's been a long time since I went out to eat again, but due to Corona, nothing was really possible. So reserve a table two days in advance and head to paradise, the reputation is pretty good, or rather it was!?! I've rarely seen something so careless, there was no table reservation, so the search for a free table began, despite the reservation... Outrageous! The waiter slapped the rather unspectacular menu on the table and upside down, which is not what I describe as “attentive” and “great service”. However, the food was better! The noodles tasted almost the same even though we ordered completely different dishes. If you compare service and taste to the price, it's a pharmacy. I really imagine paradise differently!

The name of the restaurant actually says it all because as a guest you actually feel like you are in paradise. The selection of excellent dishes is large and the quality is simply outstanding. In addition, the unique ambience with the fascinating view, i.e. the view over the Kinzigtal, creates the best atmosphere. The waiters are very on the ball and extremely friendly and helpful if, for example. B. has questions about certain dishes. Conclusion: For a restaurant with this fantastic location up on the mountain in Gelnhausen, the prices are moderate and the quality is still absolutely first-class. It couldn't be better or tastier! Eating there is a wonderful experience for all the senses. Or as an Italian would say: Solo meraviglioso!

Update July 2024 I've been to paradise for a long time and ordered Pizza Diavolo again, my favorite pizza. Great taste and well topped. Staff is friendly and quick. Everything is great and always happy. And the view is always great. August Went to paradise again with wonderful weather and a great view, this time we ate the “Paradise” pizza, it was super tasty, simply the best pizza far and wide. Update October - Today I made a salad with chicken breast strips, super tasty. Great weather and view.

We celebrated my father's 90th birthday and it was great again in "Paradise". All 16 guests received their food at the same time and were very satisfied with it. The staff was very pleasant and all guests aged 6 to 90 felt very comfortable. We'll see each other again when my grandson starts school. I'm looking forward to.

Unfortunately, I really didn't like the food during my visit - from the salad to the pasta, it didn't live up to my expectations. The chanterelles in particular were tasteless, and the shrimp were overcooked and had hardly any flavor. In addition, the dish as a whole tasted far too strongly of white wine. I am not giving this feedback as a competitor, but as a guest who values ​​quality and taste. We are also located in different cities, so there is no direct competition. Who would have thought that when I visit the restaurant I would not only get a delicious pizza, but also a free bike cracking session? After I had returned to my bike, refreshed and satisfied after a hearty meal, I discovered that my lock was not working. No chance of opening the thing. But salvation came from an unexpected direction. Within seconds, not one, not two, but **three** waiters had removed their aprons and gathered around my bike as if they had been training for years for a moment like this. With a mixture of improvisation and a hammer and pliers, they set to work as if it were a Michelin star for bike cracking. After what felt like two minutes the lock was open. I stood there speechless - not only because my bike was ready to ride again, but also because I was now convinced that these guys clearly have a second source of income as lockpicks in addition to their waiting skills ;-) Conclusion: Great food, service... creative! So if you want to eat really well and also need help with your bike lock - "Paradise" is the place to be. We'd love to come back - thank you very much!

The food wasn't bad but unfortunately it wasn't convincing either. Garlic bread way too dry. And the pasta with chanterelles and shrimp was a bit bland. Only the grilled mozzarella was a hit. Because of the nice staff and the great ambience we will give it another chance. Maybe the rest can keep up next night.

The view is clearly indescribably beautiful. The taste of the food was good, but some of it was very dry. It was also delivered quite quickly. Subsequent drink orders were a bit slow. To be honest, it got pretty busy shortly after we arrived and the staff had a lot to do. So the service was very good.

Our food was very tasty! We ordered number 70, ricotta-spinach tortelloni in a zucchini-saffron sauce - they were really extremely good. Big praise! The service was also excellent, very attentive and extremely friendly. The view was worth highlighting. The prices are also a bit higher, and the vegetarian selection is unfortunately very limited. On Friday afternoon around 12 it was very quiet, only one cat complained a lot :D All in all an excellent stay.

We can't say anything about the food, but it looked good to the neighbors. But we didn't want to risk it anymore after going to the toilet. Since we always wash our hands beforehand, we gradually went to the toilets and only ordered drinks in advance. In my eyes, the toilet was an “experience of horror”. The heater next to me is full of dust, urine and visually sticky substances, so I probably don't need to bother with the toilet itself. No soap and the guests either have to act like animals within a very short time and/or no one checks for hours, but the sink was wet, dirty, germy up to the mirror and the soap dispenser was unscrewed and lying in a colored (makeup?) puddle. Even the door handles were sticky. I sincerely hope that this restaurant, which is actually so beautifully located, gets their hygiene under control very quickly. Truly well-intentioned from the heart. But I was disgusted. 3 stars for the nice staff and the location.

Hello, me and my wife are regular guests for what feels like 20 years. We have also had a few private celebrations at Ristorante Paradies. The restaurant, in a kind of winter garden with an opening window front, has a nice atmosphere. The large covered terrace with its distant view over the Kinzigtal is phenomenal. The food is of high quality, as you would expect for an upscale Italian restaurant. The landlord is great and welcomes all of his guests even when there is a lot going on. Lots of staff in the Servive, all friendly, fast and attentive. The prices reflect the slightly higher demands but are not exaggerated. If you want to have a nice evening with good food and drinks and enjoy the great view, this is the right place for you. Highly recommended. Detlef Göddel 64 years old.

For the main course I had a vegetarian pizza and it was very good. The dough and the topping were delicious. For dessert we had fantastic pana cotta. The resteraunt is worth every visit.

In my opinion this restaurant is the best you can find in Gelnhausen. We have been visiting it regularly for years and not once have we had any reason to complain. The food is fantastic, the service is perfect and the view is incomparable. Anything less than 5* would be undeserved.

Despite the crowded terrace and fantastic weather, it was a great experience. Here I enjoyed a rump steak from Angus beef, which is second to none! I haven't had such a successful meal in a long time. Today my second visit. There was schnitzel with pepper sauce. That was also very tasty. The only positive thing first: the staff is very friendly and attentive. But: the food was substandard, pasta mush, drowned in cream sauce with no taste, salad with ready-made sauce poured over it, salmon fried to death, starter plate careless, hardly seasoned, pizza limp with loads of cheese, etc. Really bad. What we also didn't like: the "mineral water" is plain tap water, bottled in pretty bottles. A proud price is charged for it..... The interior: it's dirty to dirty everywhere, in the guest room, in the toilet, in the entrance area/yard there's rotten stuff lying around, rusty decor and so on, terrible. It urgently needs to be thoroughly cleaned and renovated. It's really a shame about the location, because you have a sensational view over the Kinzigtal

We have been here many times and always enjoy coming back. The quality is consistently excellent and the ambience with a beautiful view complements the delicious food. The service is very courteous and happy to accommodate special requests. In terms of price, it is one of the slightly more expensive places in the area, but quality has its price. There are plenty of free parking spaces directly in front of the restaurant. You can also eat outside under the new canopy even in bad weather I can definitely recommend a visit and am already looking forward to the next meal in paradise :)

I ate pizza here yesterday, the best thing I've eaten in years. I have 2 problems 1. That only 5 points can be given. 2. That I live in Stuttgart. It's too far away to eat. It's a pity it would almost be a pity worth the long journey.

Wir dachten bei den ersten Sonnenstrahlen in unserem Urlaub mal mittaga bei dieser Location wegen ihres schönen Ausblicks vorbeischauen. Angekommen wurde an den großen Markisen und mit einem Hochdruckreiniger gearbeitet. Okay, so hatten wir uns etwas abseits gesetzt, um trotzdem diese Weitsicht und das schöne Wetter zu genießen. Leider wurde dann auch dort die Markisen ausgefahren. Wir haben uns zum Mittagessen eine Lasagne für (12,90€) und Spaghetti Carbonara (12,50€) bestellt. Fazit: Die Spaghetti Carbonara kamem etwas wässrig rüber und die Lasagne war kein kulinarisches Highlight. Parkplätze sind eigentlich zu wenige für den mittlerweile sehr großen Außenbereich und normalen Innenbereich vorhanden. Darüber hinaus hatten wir schon engagierteres und leidenschaftlicheren Service genießen dürfen und irgendwie kommt dort auch nicht das Gefühl einer italienischen Location auf. Positiv: Man bekommt im Anschluss einen Espresso auf's Haus und die Aussicht ist schon fantastisch, hebt aber den Rest nicht auf.

I am very often a guest in paradise. The food is always delicious and served by a super friendly team. You are always greeted in a friendly manner and feel comfortable. The view is great over the roofs of Gelnhausen. I will definitely be happy to stay as your guest and would be happy to recommend you to others.

The pizza was meh, schnitzel was pretty good. A bit expensive. The waitress was quite lost, had arithmetic problems and tried to make us pay for a coke that we didn't have.

However, when it comes to the interior design, as well as the service and the cuisine, there is plenty of room for improvement compared to “upscale Italian cuisine” - the prices, on the other hand, are in the upper range. We were full and had a richer experience - a bit of a shame.

Were very disappointed tables were not wiped clean despite requesting cold vegetables

First the positive... The employees are all very nice and accommodating. The ambience is great, you have a great view of Gelnhausen. On the negative… We last ate here about 1-1.5 years ago and were very impressed. This time after about 1-1.5 years I ordered the same thing again (Pasta Fresca: tortelloni with ricotta spinach filling) As the name suggests, the Pasta Fresca “unfortunately” didn’t taste fresh. The sauce was very runny and not like before with a nice tomato-fruity taste. I didn't like the taste at all, I had to season it a lot and sprinkle it with parmesan and still it didn't taste like anything. The pizza doesn't remotely resemble an Italian pizza more from a pizza delivery business. So it's more standard, nothing special. We had ordered a large bottle of water and it didn't come from the original bottle but in its own glass container. I'm assuming it's filtered tap water. I mean, if I pay a hefty price for normal water, then I expect something of high quality and not tap water, no go 👎🏼 unfortunately we won't be coming anymore.

I like going to paradise not because of the food but because of the view. Whenever I order something to eat there (vegetable starter or dessert) it just tastes like something from the freezer. The selection of cocktails are also standard and boring. When it comes to the view, you wish you had more.

The view is an absolute dream and really worth seeing! The service was very friendly and attentive. The carbonara we ordered was absolutely delicious and really satisfying. Only the pizza wasn't really good, it wasn't seasoned well, the dough was too soft and the toppings weren't good either. The ambience inside is in need of renovation. Whether we would come back again, probably not - unfortunately!
