Overall, okay, but not my taste. The prices are generally high, and the service struggled with the German language. There were three of us, and we got our food little by little. After a while, we had to ask when the rest would be coming because we wanted to eat it all together. The lady was immediately surprised when we said we'd like to sit in the back (presumably because it's a longer walk for her to reach the server). The place was very empty that day. We asked how long they were open, and she said it wasn't a problem and we should just stay seated. However, she gave us the bill about an hour early and asked us to finish. They didn't ask if we wanted to pay with cash or card. We sort of agreed between us because nobody really had any cash on them. Overall, I was rather dissatisfied with my experience. I wouldn't want to go back. My girlfriend seemed to be overjoyed and was also surprised. She said it's usually completely packed and everything runs smoothly. So, this could be an exception.

We visited this restaurant for my partner's 40th birthday – a special occasion that was unfortunately marred by the unfriendly and unprofessional welcome from a member of staff who greeted us in the restaurant. Although we had been promised a table by the window, the waitress suddenly had no idea. The day before, we had specifically asked if our dog (a Chihuahua – a non-barking specimen) was welcome. At the time, they said, "No problem." However, that evening, the dog suddenly became a "disturbance." They offered us only two chairs in the middle of the street – completely unsuitable. They also refused us access to the terrace, allegedly because the dog might disturb other guests. We ended up being seated on the edge of a music festival. The night before, we had been assured that the music wouldn't start until 7:30 p.m. In fact, it started at 6:30 p.m. – so loud that it was almost impossible to have a conversation. For a birthday that we deliberately planned early to avoid stress for the dog, this was a bitter disappointment. The table was wobbly and far too small for the food served; a fork even fell on our clothes. Only thanks to the friendly waiter was the wobbly situation temporarily remedied. To top it all off, we were served a warm white wine. When we asked for ice, we were told they didn't have any that day. A chilled alternative white wine wasn't available either. We therefore had to ask for the wine to be removed from the bill – absolutely disgraceful for a restaurant. The only positive aspects were the efforts of the friendly waiter and the good quality of the food. But none of that can compensate for the lack of organization, the lack of reliability, and the disrespectful treatment by the staff member. The server who served us was consistently very friendly and the only reason we didn't leave immediately. He was very attentive and took careful care of our well-being. 5 stars for him and 3 for the person who greeted us in the restaurant. Conclusion: Absolutely unsuitable for special occasions. Anyone who values ​​friendliness, hospitality, and professionalism should avoid this restaurant.

This was our second time here, and it was fantastic again. The food and service are very good. The ambiance is also good, but the tables are very close together. Highly recommended ❤️ We will definitely be back.

Every visit is an absolute highlight! The taste is dreamy, and the service is first-class. Special mention goes to the male waiter (Dennis), who makes every guest feel great, even when the house is full. The lady in the kitchen (Ana) is also very personable and a fantastic Spanish cook. Excellent wine recommendations and a lovely ambiance. We always enjoy coming back.

We took a trip to Gelnhausen today and were absolutely thrilled with the Paradero tapas bar. Our waiter, Dennis, gave us such a warm welcome, and the food is truly delicious. Dennis deserves more than 5 stars. We'll definitely be back.

Hello, I unfortunately have to agree with the bad reviews... I was there to surprise my partner because he's a waiter there. Unfortunately he lied that day and wasn't there, strangely enough, but that's beside the point. I was very disappointed with the food, unfortunately! We often go to Spain and they were just cheap imitations. I was really hoping for a good alternative to cedo where you can sit outside (which was nice). But unfortunately I can't recommend the food!! But maybe I just picked a bad day.

We visited Paradero in Gelnhausen – and what can I say: an absolute highlight! The tapas selection was not only delicious, but also a real visual delight. We were particularly impressed by the Pimientos de Padrón with sea salt, the homemade tuna cream with fresh cucumbers and red onions, and the large tapas platter with Serrano ham, chorizo, Manchego, olives, melon, and homemade dips. Everything was lovingly presented – fresh, aromatic, and perfect for sharing. The ambiance is charmingly rustic with a Mediterranean touch. Sitting outside in the half-timbered courtyard is particularly cozy – almost like sitting in a plaza somewhere in Andalusia. The decor with fairy lights, wood, and fabric panels creates an atmospheric atmosphere. The service was friendly, attentive, and warm, despite the full house. You can tell the passion that goes into the work here. A glass of sangria rounded off the evening perfectly. We will definitely be back – ¡hasta pronto, Paradero!

Delicious Spanish cuisine with outdoor seating

Everything's overpriced... 3.50 for a couple of olives, the waitress was very annoyed. 8.50 for some mushrooms, so you'd better go somewhere else... hahaha, it's ridiculous how you deal with criticism. That just shows how pathetic you are 😂 you should inform yourself, the saying goes: Always together, forever apart... Even if it does, what does that have to do with reality or intelligence??? You can post your names on the internet.

Completely incompetent, they couldn't even get the drinks in order. After an hour! The landlady came to say the hake was sold out. The zander alternative was completely oversalted. We were there at 6 p.m., the last person had their meal at 7:30 p.m. Sorry, but if you can't do it, you should close. Even the friendly but brainless drivel of the boss is no use in getting us out of it. Disaster!!!!

We go there more or less regularly for dinner and appreciate the authentic atmosphere. However, organizational difficulties often arise, especially on weekends. These lead to long waits or forgotten dishes. On my last visit, my wife waited two hours for mushrooms with aioli. After a delay, when I finally asked around 10:00 PM, they told me they were out of mushrooms. The tapas platter I ordered was good, but my wife left more or less empty-handed. This criticism is not personal, but rather an incentive to improve service.

We've been there several times for dinner. We personally think the food is very good and we like the rustic ambience, which suits a Spaniard. Unfortunately, something goes wrong every time. The service staff (except for the male temporary worker!) is unmotivated and not friendly. Something always gets mixed up or forgotten in the kitchen. I just don't understand it, it's a real shame.

Crappy store. Don't let 5 year old children use the toilet because they are not paying customers! At a street party! Unbelievable! Hopefully you'll pee yourself!

An absolute recommendation for me. If I want to feel like I'm on vacation, if I like to eat delicious Spanish food and enjoy a good wine in a cozy restaurant, then my answer is Paradeiro. I feel very well served and am always enthusiastic about the food and the always courteous service. Gladly again and again.

We were there for the first time today, there was a nice welcome, the waitresses were very friendly and the food was absolutely top notch. We felt very comfortable! We'll be back. Maybe add 1 or 2 to the long drinks and the whole thing makes it even better.

My girlfriend and I had dinner there yesterday. Except for the temporary waiter, who was really nice, the restaurant can unfortunately only be given 1 star. The ladies who served there weren't very friendly. Unfortunately the meal took a very, very long time. When something came, there was hair in it, which just doesn't work. There was no apology or anything like that. The shrimp were so bad. They should be in oil with garlic. There was good oil and 2 small slices of garlic, no herbs, nothing. After this disappointing meal and already 2 hours of waiting, we paid straight away and left. We simply let the rest go back. Once and never again!

Food great! Operation flop! Despite the reservation, there was no high chair available upon arrival. When we asked, we were told that we didn't have time to look for it quickly and that it was dusty and unusable anyway... Food came to the table staggered and, according to the waitress, starter plates should not be cleared away, after all they could also be used for the main course (paella). Nevertheless, some of us needed more plates, which were given to us somewhat reluctantly. All in all, there was no hospitality at all, just slightly annoyed and overwhelmed waiters. The food was authentic and tasted delicious.

We had a good impression when we arrived. My husband's tapas plate was ok. I ordered paella, which in retrospect was a big mistake. After 1 1/2 hours we asked politely whether they had forgotten the paella. My husband had long since finished eating. The “waitress”!! came to the table and reported that she had now made the paella. This makes me wonder, does this place also have a chef? Unfortunately my meal was very disappointing as it was just... a shrimp, a small piece of pork and a prawn. There was also a huge mountain of bland rice. We won't visit again!

We had dinner here this evening and after 20 minutes we were served by a lady (unfriendly). We got a card after about 50 minutes of staying, despite repeated eye contact and questions. We waited about 1 hour for the food (4 tapas), which is clearly too long. Unfortunately we didn't leave here satisfied.

Table was reserved two days in advance, there was no high chair for our child, although this was confirmed when making the reservation. The staff seemed overwhelmed. The dishes arrived very late for the five people at our table. The portions were small. Many food and drinks were no longer available. No non-alcoholic beer, even though it was on the menu. We were given menus with different prices. The glasses weren't full. When asked, the waitress came to the table with a 1.5 liter pet bottle and filled the glasses. When paying, the staff had technical problems with the cash register. I was probably there for the first and last time...

Unfortunately very long waiting times!!! It took about 20 minutes just for the drinks to arrive, it took well over an hour for us to have our food and then the food came with a big delay. Service didn't seem particularly organized to us.

Waited 20 minutes for drinks, waited 75 minutes for calamari and meatballs. Six rings each. Then the three of them eat, separated by 10 minutes. Service catastrophic, food, well deep fryer can do just that. Conclusion, never again.

Very tasty food, friendly but unfortunately extremely chaotic service, which continued throughout the entire stay (long waiting times (including an hour for the second round of drinks), dessert came long before the main courses, bread with the tapas only half an hour after Tapas, waiting time for the bill was 20 minutes, unfortunately only a semi-certain answer was given when asked several times about a serious food intolerance (gluten). But the good food made up for it and we would still come back and give the service, which could be improved, a chance.

The waitress came to our table and said: NO BEER. Thanks for the info, very friendly. After about an hour I saw beer at the next table...The tapas are extremely expensive and really nothing special. In general, it seems less authentically Spanish to me than somehow intended. The atmosphere is good for sitting outside, but I didn't immediately feel comfortable and the rest of the evening confirmed my impression. Kind of heartless.

Delicious and very nice Spanish atmosphere. The rolls and dips as a starter were amazing. The boiled potatoes and dates are also recommended.

The team makes every effort to serve guests well, even if the service is not perfect. Most tapas also taste quite good and are not expensive.

Essen war sehr lecker. Aber leider da hört sich aus mit Zufriedenheit. Der Personal war sehr Unaufmerksam, die Bestellung dauert viel zu lang und fast die Hälfte war vergessen. Tapas gebracht das überhaupt nicht bestellt war. Ausrede war der fehlt eine in der Küche. Was hat das zutun mit vergessen und falsche Bestellung? Erste und letzte mal da. Nicht zu empfehlen.

Wirklich ein sehr guter Spanier! Das Essen ist top. Zu empfehlen ist die Tapas Platte. Hier findet man eine super Auswahl und kann nach belieben Das ein oder andere Tapas hinzufügen. Der Service ist freundlich und schnell und auch das Ambiente ist super. Hier kann man sowohl innen als auch außen sehr schön sitzen.

Die Speisen sind anders als in Spanien, aber gut. Der Service ist ok. Gute Auswahl an Speisen und Desserts.

Schon lange so einen schlechten Service nicht erlebt! Hatte extra meinen Geburtstag für mehrere Personen dort geplant, aber man musste schon selbst immer wieder schauen und auch zur Theke gehen, um das Personal aufzufordern, bedient zu werden. Kein Nachfragen oder Erkunden, ob man etwas möchte oder ob alles passt. Die Vorspeisenplatte kann man geschmacklich empfehlen, die vorbestellte Paella muss man nicht gegessen haben. Diese schmeckt fade und ist ohne Gemüseanteil. Es gleicht mehr einem Hühner-Reis-Eintopf. Schade, so stellte ich mir keine Geburtstagsfeier vor. Das Essen wäre eigentlich nicht so ins Gewicht gefallen, wenn der Service gepasst hätte. So gab's auch kein Trinkgeld.....

Absolut zu empfehlen. Leckerer Sangria, viele leckere spanische Tapas. Haben viele ausprobiert und können alle empfehlen.
