Review of the "White Pavilion" The service initially seemed friendly, albeit rather brief. However, after I asked about the Parmesan, which should be a given with pasta dishes (more on that later), the overall impression changed. When I asked about the dishes, I was even interrupted – apparently assuming I just wanted to know the portion size. I found this rude, as I actually had a completely different question. About the food: Pizza Tonno: strongly reminiscent of frozen food. Lots of onions and cheese, flat and crispy, but overall bland in taste. Spaghetti Bolognese: visually dry, weak in taste – second or third choice at best. A carelessly placed piece of pineapple as decoration was more distracting than appealing. Children's pasta with tomato sauce: tasted like ready-made sauce from a jar, but at least the child ate it. About the service: No one asked how we were during the meal. There was no bread, olives, or anything similar beforehand – instead, a few dry, unappealing wheat croissants were placed with the meal. The Parmesan cheese we ordered was charged an extra €1.60 – without any indication of this. Conclusion: Overall, our visit was disappointing: mediocre food, inattentive service, and hidden extra costs. We're certain: We won't be returning to the Pavilion. Dear Owner, Thank you for your reply. I gather from your letter that you weren't there that evening. Otherwise, you would have noticed that only 2-3 tables were occupied outside, and at most 4-5 other tables were being served inside at the time of our arrival – so the restaurant was by no means full. However, the Pavilion filled up considerably shortly after we ordered, and that's exactly when the problem began: We waited a good half hour for two simple pasta dishes and a pizza. Given that pasta isn't cooked fresh for every order and a Bolognese is usually prepared in advance, this wait seems incomprehensible. It was particularly incomprehensible that a neighboring group of six people, who had ordered after us, had already fully served and even finished their food while we were still waiting for our dishes. In your response, you also mentioned that around 30 pizzas were ordered that evening and that all guests were satisfied. With all due respect, just because other guests had no complaints or liked their food doesn't automatically mean that my experience is less relevant. I find it presumptuous to compare the expectations of one guest with the average of the other guests – especially since every guest has the right to have their visit individually satisfying. I would also like to add that there was no proper table bread and that Parmesan, which is usually provided as standard with pasta, was charged extra for €2 here – without it even being on the table. I find this excessive and unusual. I find the justification that a lack of staff is an excuse for inattentive service or negligence unprofessional and unacceptable. Sincerely

I visited there with my wife eight days ago after reserving a table (by phone with the owner personally). The reception was very welcoming and friendly, and the table reserved for us was by the window. The decor is very elaborate and detailed – beautifully Italian, as is the background music! The service is unobtrusive, polite, attentive, and relaxed. The food was excellent – ​​a feast for the eyes and the palate (and also for the stomach)! Luckily, the owner then offered us a tour of the upper floor: a small room for special occasions with a wraparound balcony. All in all, the romantic evening in an Italian atmosphere was a complete success for my wife and me! We visited the White Pavilion today, August 4, 2025. Excellent service, delicious food (beef steak)—thanks to the chef!—and pleasant drinks. The restaurant has a very pleasant ambiance, and the outdoor area, on the Kamp, offers a lovely green setting.

I stopped in spontaneously and sat outside, enjoying a lovely wine spritzer in the sun. The saltimbocca was delicious, the rosemary potatoes were good, but the vegetables weren't quite my thing. The service was very attentive and friendly. I definitely recommend it.

Delicious bruschetta, friendly service

It was supposed to open at 11:30 a.m. I waited until 12 p.m. Nothing happened. They apparently don't think it's necessary to open. They apparently don't want to make any money. Not recommended.

A sophisticated atmosphere, even if you just want a drink! The bruschettas were excellent. Five women ordered a plate of four bruschettas, and the waiter served them and brought four small plates without being asked! Charming service!

Lots of pizzas, icecream+++ Pizza was good, and huuuuge wineglasses. Superfriendly service. Only takes cash and german cards.

I recently went to the Weißer Pavillon restaurant with my family, and as always, we were thrilled. The food was really good, freshly prepared, and beautifully presented. I would especially like to mention our waitress, who was very friendly and attentive. She took her time, was approachable at all times, and made our visit truly enjoyable. There's also a wide selection of dishes for children, and if you're really hungry, you'll get a generous portion on your plate. We found that really practical. I've been there several times and have always found something delicious. The pizzas and schnitzels are especially recommended. There are also many good dishes for vegetarians, and if you prefer a meat-free meal, they'll easily accommodate that. Whether you're with your family, with friends, as a couple, or in a larger group – this restaurant is suitable for everyone. I consider it one of the best in all of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. I can absolutely recommend a visit.

After a tour of the picturesque town of Bad Doberan, we discovered the pavilion. The wonderful ambiance in the park and the friendly welcome made it easy for us to decide on an Italian meal. The food, undoubtedly prepared with great passion, was very tasty. We would gladly return. Excellent value for money.

We went there with our three children and had a great time. The food was delicious, and it was a wonderful place to eat under the shady trees. The waitress was exceptionally friendly and quick, and there were extra cookies and lollipops for the kids. Highly recommended!

Anyone in Bad Doberan should definitely take a break at this restaurant. We spontaneously stopped by on our bikes and stopped in. We enjoyed a delicious Aperol and a special foccacia. The staff and owner are very friendly and attentive. We ordered the special foccacia (4 slices) for each of us and were served them directly on two plates. Someone must have thought ahead or had a "crystal ball." 😘 It was delicious. To our surprise, they even served us a small limoncello liqueur at the end. Delicious. 🥰 So, off to Bad Doberan. It's worth it!!! Oh, and the cuisine is Italian. Best wishes to the great team there and the very friendly chef, Massimo Elgendi.

Unfortunately, today is my last visit! On my last visits to the Baltic Sea, I enjoyed eating at the Pavillon, which was quite good. However, today I sat outside for 15 minutes, and since there was no sign of service, I left. What a shame...

This beautiful pavilion is located in a park in Bad Doberan. It houses an Italian restaurant.

Went here spontaneously and got a seat outside. We could only sit outside because our dog was with us, but that was fine, the weather was nice. The staff were all friendly and very kind to children! The food was great; the spaghetti bolognese and salad with chicken strips were excellent 👍🏻 The location within the park is beautiful.

We spontaneously came to the beautiful White Pavilion late on Sunday morning... -Due to the weather -Rain and not really pleasant....during a walk.... Very nicely designed from the outside (probably renewed), with the large columns around the building (pavilion), the small tables really appealing... and the well-kept park all around. When the sun is shining 🌞 it's certainly even more beautiful 🥰😍....the white pavilion in the countryside 🌳. Nice service, friendly welcome, our drinks arrived promptly and also the 2 starters... because unfortunately we were only slightly hungry, they were very tasty and beautifully presented. Thanks for that and keep it up.

We needed a table for 20 people for New Year's Eve. Everything wasn't a problem. The food, the ambience and the staff were great. Small negative point: unfortunately only EC or cash payment possible. Anyway, thanks again for everything. Unfortunately it is no longer a given.

Die Pizza war gut und reichlich belegt, der Boden wirkte allerdings wie bei einer Tiefkühlpizza. Was als Schnitzel ausgewiesen wird, ist ein Steak. Bezahlung geht Bar oder mit einer Bankkarte, hat man eine Kreditkarte oder Debitcard keine Chance. Insgesamt war es ok aber definitiv kein weiterer Besuch.

Wunderbarer Ort im Park mit alten schönen Bäumen. Man sitzt unter Säulen, aber auch innen sehr ansprechend. Freundlicher unauffällige Bedienung. Echtes italienisches Brot ! Findet man selten. Die kleine Vorspeise reicht für Zwei Personen (9,50€), es wurde ohne Aufforderung der zweite Teller gleich mitgebracht. Spaghetti Almatricana gut scharf, tolle Tomatensauce mit Speck und gebratenen Zwiebeln - wunderbar (15,00€). Die Cannelloni mit Gorgonzola Sauce kamen sehr heiß daher… geschmacklich sehr gut. Insgesamt ein schöner Abend!

Very nice place to stay. In summer it's very comfortable to sit outside in the shade. The service was always very friendly. We ate out at least five times over the course of three weeks. For coffee or in the evening, everything was great and tasted excellent. I'm sure the white pavilion is worth a visit for EVERYONE.

Then childhood memories came back to me. Not much has changed inside for me, it looks just as beautiful as it did 35 years ago. The service responds to every guest's request in a very friendly manner and the food is all fresh and adequately prepared. Even though I heard negative reviews, I came here and was absolutely positively surprised. All in all, I was very satisfied and will definitely come back! An absolute recommendation from me

Relaxed café with a small playground next door. The coffee is even served right up to the park bench! Suitable for families!

In the middle of the park, very stylish. There was a bit too much tomato sauce in the fish soup, but also a lot of delicious fish.

I lost my appetite after using the perfumed toilet. In the dining room, like the path to the toilet, was covered with cobwebs and dust. The dead plant tendrils that climb across the hallway ceiling don't help either. Make it luxurious and use beer mats under the tables as a wobble aid. The unnecessary caramel syrup on the cappuccino doesn't help either. €9.50 for a cola and a cappuccino is also too expensive. But you don't pay for it here for a long time

Das"italienische" Lokal Ristorante weisser Pavillon ist eindrücklich: Gebäude und Parkanlage sind historisch interessant und sehr gepflegt. Mit grossem Hunger nach langer Anreise wählten wir, auch anhand der online einsehbaren umfangreichen (Pizza-)Speisekarte begeistert dieses Lokal. Unsere Begeisterung schmälerte sich jedoch zusehends. Nach einem recht kleinen, jedoch feinen gemischten Salat erwartet uns dann unverkennbarerweise eine Fertigpizza. Wettgemacht hat den Besuch des Lokals die Möglichkeit das obere Stockwerk und den Rundbalkon zu besichtigen und die Parkanlage mit den stattlichen und uralten Bäumen aus dieser Optik zu betrachten. Auch die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Einen Tip an den Geschäftsinhaber: Wenn Fertigpizza dann wenigsten eine Gute: z.B. von Buitoni :)

Actually ideal for families with children thanks to the playground right next to it. For drinking coffee at €5.50 per piece of cake and €5 for a hot chocolate but just too expensive in my personal price-performance ratio. The cake is a typical confectioner's cream cake with a sponge cake base and is served with cream and a few dollops of sweet sauce by default. Toilet with changing table.

Sitting outside and inside possible. Large selection of dishes. From starters to pizza, pasta and schnitzel dishes and ice cream sundaes or tiramisu, everything is available. The service is very friendly and also responds to children's requests for just 1 scoop of ice cream. Or share the tiramisu with 2 spoons to eat. Parking available directly around the restaurant. The pasta dish I had was nice and creamy and tasted very good. Price-wise, completely okay.

Beautifully located in the park, the 69th Teiatella had salmon and shrimp and a white wine. It was really good and almost unbelievable for 27 euros! Polite, clean, simply great.

The ambience is unique. The pavilion was built at the beginning of the 19th century and was used to entertain and feed the guests of the Grand Duke of Mecklenburg in his summer residence in Doberan. The acoustics are remarkable. Even quiet conversations at the table can sometimes be heard elsewhere. The food is good.

The great ambience in the White Pavilion in Bad Doberan in the middle of the beautiful city park and by a pretty water feature is due to the historical architecture alone. But the ristorante operator goes one better and celebrates a wonderfully reserved, elevated level of service and general interaction. In any case, we really liked it and you definitely shouldn't miss the tiramisu as an afternoon cake or at the end of a main course. In addition, the coffee tastes very good. That's when you realize you're at an Italian restaurant.

We all had a really delicious meal. I can highly recommend the meat dishes. Staff very nice and friendly. Ambiance was special. Price performance was great. We'd love to come back.

An Italian restaurant, like so many... you could say... but the ambience is nice, in this pavilion, the service was nice and quick and the food was great 👍🏻 So if you're looking for a typically Italian restaurant, you've come to the right place and you won't be disappointed.

Bad Doberan is always worth a trip. The white pavilion always invites you to linger. The cosiness and the ambience in summer, outside on the terrace. We love being here and the food is delicious and prepared with love. This time we were invited to Christmas dinner, excellent!!! We wish you a nice winter holiday and would be happy to come back.

So I recently ordered and picked up cannelloni with spinach and cheese. A small portion for 16.50 euros. But worse, the dish wasn't fresh, the spinach tasted musty and sour. I will never eat there again.

Italian restaurant in an interesting building and cozy atmosphere. Selection corresponds to a typical location. I found the prices a bit high compared to the quality and service. It was the kind of food you typically get and there wasn't anything special about it. (I had the cannelloni with gorgonzola and spinach (around 17 euros). Regarding the service: Although the restaurant was not very busy between the years, my companion and I waited a long time and there was always a little something missing (fork, napkin...). The order arrived relatively quickly after it was placed.

We enjoyed a family lunch here for our mother, grandmother and great-grandma's 90th birthday. Everything was perfectly organized, the dishes were very tasty and the service left nothing to be desired. We highly recommend the White Pavilion 😀😀😀
