The food is excellent. The atmosphere is a bit loud, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Maybe it was due to the number of guests, or maybe it was because we didn't always close the menus after choosing our food, but if someone had asked us if we wanted something to drink, for example, we probably would have spent a bit more money. Still, a lovely evening and a good location.

Actually 6 stars, with lots of personal service, friendly if not even amicable, the best pasta with beetroot filling, giant schnitzel, great starters and the tiramisu or chocolate with a hot center: SUPER mega, thank you, we really enjoyed ourselves there.

Quality, staff, atmosphere, everything was great

The staff is warm and very attentive. The ambiance is pleasant, although I find it unnecessary to decorate the (outdoor) tables with plastic flowers. But most importantly: unfortunately, the food is below average for me. Perhaps it was due to our choice of pasta dishes. Ready-made, fatty sauces and not a hint of Italian flavor. They were just convenience foods. Personally, I didn't like it at all; in fact, I had a lot of trouble digesting this pasta afterward. The prices are reasonable.

Delicious but expensive Italian restaurant in the heart of Hamburg-Volksdorf. Tastefully decorated. I went there for lunch. The dishes were of high quality - the wine was exceptional (€10.50 for a 0.15l). One star deducted for the service; there's still room for improvement (but maybe I was just unlucky today).

Villaggio Volksdorf – Light and Shadow at Lunch The Ristorante Villaggio in Volksdorf is busy at lunchtime – an indication of its popularity in the neighborhood. By 1 p.m., the tables are well-filled, predominantly with a rather well-heeled clientele, which lends the first impression an upscale feel. The lunch menu reflects this appeal in its prices: a classic schnitzel with fried potatoes, for example, costs €24. We opted for the current pizza promotion (10 weeks – each pizza for €10) and ordered a vegetarian and a Diabolo. When we asked to halve the pizzas and serve them mixed, the service was initially hesitant – they said it was too complicated. For a restaurant in this price range, we would have appreciated a bit more accommodating. To our surprise, the pizzas did arrive in halves – but unfortunately, the wrong order: Instead of the Diabolo, we suddenly found half a Hawaiian pizza on our plates. A faux pas that, in terms of taste, could be considered either a charming accident or a culinary disaster – depending on your personal attitude towards the controversial combination of pineapple and cheese. A rather chaotic back and forth with plates and pizzas ensued. We asked to be allowed to keep at least the vegetarian half and only replace the incorrect pizza. Ultimately, the correct Diabolo was delivered – but too late to fully enjoy it. We took the rest home. The quality of the toppings was generally fine – fresh, sufficient, and flavorful. However, the dough unfortunately revealed a technical flaw: The base was dry and tough, lacking elasticity and airiness. The dough handling seems to be suboptimal here – too little kneading time, too little resting time, possibly the wrong flour or a less than ideal oven. The result: a pizza that had potential in terms of flavor, but significantly lacked texture. A tip for the kitchen: Perhaps it's worth looking to Italy – both in terms of dough handling and equipment. A small consolation in the form of a free espresso would certainly have been appropriate after the confusion – but unfortunately, it didn't materialize. Conclusion: Ristorante Villaggio scores highly with its atmosphere and a generally attractive menu. However, there's still room for improvement in the service and especially in the pizza preparation. If the dough is prepared with more love and expertise in the future, we'd be happy to return – perhaps even without the pizza promotion.

Excellent quality of food and service. An absolute recommendation.

While the culinary quality and refined atmosphere initially suggested a memorable dining experience, this impression was unfortunately marred by the conduct of the staff following our visit. A later phone call regarding a potentially misplaced personal item was handled with unexpected brusqueness and a distinct lack of courtesy. A respectful request to kindly check the restroom one more time was dismissed in a mocking tone, accompanied by the remark that I should look for it myself. Such treatment stands in stark contrast to the standards one would reasonably expect from an establishment of this caliber. Excellence in cuisine alone does not suffice when hospitality and guest care are so evidently lacking. Though the food and surroundings were undoubtedly of high quality, I will not be returning — and would respectfully caution others who value professionalism and respect in customer service to consider alternative options.

A very good restaurant with outstanding service and excellent cuisine

The restaurant has a cozy yet upscale feel both inside and out. We waited about 30-40 minutes for our food, but there were seven of us. But it was worth it. From the amazing sides and sauces to the high-quality meat, everything was great. I would recommend it anytime and come back.

I've rarely eaten so well at an Italian restaurant in Germany. The service was excellent, and the restaurant itself was very clean and well-maintained. I'll definitely be back!

For us, this is one of the best Italian restaurants in Hamburg. We stumbled upon the restaurant by chance and were absolutely thrilled. Everything is just right here. The food is fantastic, the service simply excellent. The whole atmosphere is unique. The prices are a bit high, but quality comes at a price. I can highly recommend this restaurant.

We had lunch at Ristorante Villaggio during Pentecost. The music was a bit loud, making it difficult to have a conversation. Then one of the waiters kept singing along, which made things even worse. For my starter, I had beef tartare, which was also delicious. For my main course, I had veal liver. The chef took the easy way out and added vinegar-preserved pearl onions from a jar to the sauce. This is, of course, cheaper and quicker than frying onions. This also made the whole dish too acidic, and I missed the fresh onions. For dessert, I had tiramisu. I thought it was homemade and tasted good. However, I missed the amaretto, and even though children could order dessert, tiramisu simply needs amaretto. In conclusion: there's still room for improvement in the kitchen, and I think the prices are too high.

Spontaneously had lunch there on Sunday. Great seating, especially in good weather. Outside in the open air, two great winter gardens with beautiful views, recommended food (we had pizza and truffle pasta) and fantastic service. Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, ich habe gestern Abend bei Ihnen gespeist - es hat auch ganz gut geschmeckt (der Spargel war nicht sehr gut geschält). Mit größter Verärgerung habe ich aber die Preisgestaltung Ihrer offenen Weine zur Kenntnis genommen. Ich konnte keine ganze Flasche bestellten, weil meine Begleiter keinen Alkohol trinken. Mit dem Angebot von 0,15 l pro Glas können Sie aus einer Weinflasche fünf Gläser zaubern - bei dem Pino Grigio, den ich als billigsten aus Prinzig (!) für sieben Euro probierte, sind das 35 Euro für eine Flasche, die Sie im Einkauf keine drei Euro kostet. Das nenne ich Wucher. Es ist schlimm genug, dass manche Restaurants jetzt inzwischen Gläser mit 0,2 l anbieten, denn selbst 0,2 l sind für die Begleitung eines guten Gerichts schon sehr wenig. Also schon das ist mehr als grenzwertig. Ich bin gern bereit für ein gutes Essen mit entsprechender Begleitung genug Geld auszugeben und dazu noch ein ordentliches Trinkgeld, was viele Restaurantbesucher auch nicht mehr für zwingend erachten - gestern z.B. 91 Euro auf 100 erhöht habe. Aber es gibt Grenzen - sagt Hartmut Burre, ehemals stellvertretender Anzeigenleiter von Essen + Trinken, drei Jahre Repräsentant für Gruner+Jahr, u,a, für Essen + Trinken in Frankreich, Mediadirektor der Motorpresse Stuttgart, 12 Jahre Mediadirektor bei PUBLICIS Hamburg - Tochter des französischen Mutterkonzerns - größte Agenturkette Europas seinerzeit, der mehr gute und beste Lokale besucht hat als die meisten Bundesbürger.

Today an upscale restaurant experience. Were very satisfied today. The food is excellent and the kitchen knows what it is. The team great with Italian hospitality. We from Thuringia Greetings.

On a bike tour we stopped for lunch at the Villagio. The Sicilian waiter with glasses, very hospitable. We took 2 dishes from the daily menu. A wise decision. Wiener Schnitzel with fried potatoes, cranberries and cucumber salad Sepia tagliolini with seafood in tomato sauce with white wine Both dishes are a dream. I haven't had such a good meal in a restaurant for a long time. The veal schnitzel 5mm, the breading beautifully wavy👍. Fried potatoes, cucumber salad also tip-top. The pasta dish was excellent. I wonder how they get the flavor into it. The seafood scampi, squid, cuttlefish was very rich and tasty. Then 2 x limoncello on a small ice cube 👍. Finally 2 espressos 👍👍 Overall, a very successful stay at this restaurant. Gladly again. Clear recommendation!

Yesterday we invited our family (20 people) to dinner. The welcome was very warm, the table was beautifully set, the service was perfect and very friendly and the food was delicious. It was a wonderful time and we all felt very comfortable. Many thanks to the entire team. We'll be back

Update March 23, 2025: Today was really excellent! Old: Unfortunately, the service was very mixed when I had lunch here in August 21. Lots of indifferent and unfriendly waiters, one very professional and friendly waitress. The pizza was good and I liked the ambience too. If the service becomes a little more uniformly friendly, I can give it 4 stars.

Sowohl abends mit mehreren Personen als auch mittags zu zweit haben wir hier sehr gut gegessen, wurden zuvorkommend und aufmerksam beraten und bedient ("Wir kochen frisch und machen es so, wie Sie es möchten" - tatsächlich bekam mein Mann wie gewünscht nur einen Hauch der Trüffelsoße, viel gehobelten Trüffel auf das Nudelgericht (er wollte lieber Spaghetti statt Tagliolini - auch das kein Problem). Meine Seezunge war perfekt gegrillt, Zitronen-Salbei-Butter, frisches (!) Gemüse und geröstete Kartoffeln wurden separat gereicht. Selbst der Espresso ist perfekt. Wir waren mehrmals sehr zufrieden und kommen immer wieder gern!

Pasta, pizza, fish, meat - all very tasty and delicious. Service professional, attentive and always in a good mood. A great feel-good atmosphere - now "my living room". P.S. : monthly Italian night with live music - a blast with a great atmosphere - eat & drink well and then dance exuberantly ; what more could you want?!

Always Vilaggio. We've been coming here for a long time. Always great. The place has continually reinvented itself. The renovation a few years ago did the location a lot of good, the winter garden is inviting and those sitting outside also get their money's worth. The cuisine is high quality, there is also pizza and it is very tasty. Also suitable for children. We like the consistently high standards in the house. The truffle pasta made from fresh noodles was spot on, the truffles were deep black and fresh, the beef fillet with vegetables and ruffled mashed potatoes was addictive in itself. Fresh vegetables in jus, super tasty. The chocolate cake itself is something for those who don't like dessert. We'll keep our eye on the ball in the Vilaggio.

Yesterday, on the recommendation of a friend, we went to the Vilaggio restaurant for the first time and I have to say that we were absolutely thrilled. The food was fantastic, but what was really impressive was the service. I can't remember the last time we were looked after in such an unaffected, warm and competent manner. Unfortunately, this has become a rarity these days. In short, we are new regulars.

- We were there for Christmas menu yesterday. The food was excellent, the atmosphere and the service were top. Absolutely recommended.

The food was quite tasty, but the service was too loud and jovial towards the guests. At THE prices (at Christmas) restraint would simply be nicer. Tip: On holidays, take a look at the online menu in advance - it's manageable and grossly overpriced. My conclusion: It remains just one visit.

Overpriced Christmas menu. I had a 2nd course menu (porcini mushroom soup and fresh ravioli with figs and walnuts) for €44.00. There was no cozy atmosphere because the soup was served 3 minutes after ordering and before the drinks. The soup was tasty, but lukewarm. The ravioli tasted boring and lacked sophistication. We sat in the winter garden, it was unbearably warm there, so we left the restaurant immediately after eating... overall, the visit to the restaurant for Christmas was disappointing.

Only a very limited menu over Christmas, which is not apparent when making the reservation or online. There was no pizza, for example, which was a shame for the children! Prices for “compulsory meals” are disproportionately high. We won't be coming back!

Very good restaurant. We had a business trip and loved it. Everything was right here from A to Z. Great service, top menu, excellently prepared dishes, and very good quality of ingredients. In terms of price, it's in the higher segment for me, but it's justified.

Leider von vorn bis hinten ein Reinfall. Der reservierte Tisch wurde anderweitig vergeben, die desinteressierte Reaktion war der Einstieg. Die gesamte Stimmung wird von der übertriebenen Italo Kellnertruppe dominiert, sie erinnern an die Panzerknacker Bande, laute unehrliche Freundlichkeit mit gelegentlichem Anfassen: unangemessen! Der Hauptpunkt aber war das durchweg schlechte Essen. Wir hatten alle den Eindruck, dass versucht wird, mit schlechter Qualität das Maximum an Kohle rauszuschlagen. Einzig das Brot mit Dip war schmackhaft. Fazit: nie wieder!

Unfortunately it's a failure from start to finish. The reserved table was given to someone else, and the disinterested reaction was the start. The entire atmosphere is dominated by the exaggerated Italo group of waiters, they are reminiscent of the Panzerkracker gang, loud dishonest friendliness with occasional touching: inappropriate! The main point, however, was the consistently bad food. We all had the impression that they were trying to make maximum money out of poor quality. Only the bread with dip was tasty. Conclusion: never again!

Very nice atmosphere. Whether as a couple, with friends or family, suitable for everyone. The food is great and every guest's wishes are taken into account, whether vegetarian or vegan, everything is taken into account. I felt very comfortable and will definitely come back. The location is great, there is a village museum right across the street and parking is also available.

Beim Bezahlen fragte ich den Ober, wie es möglich sei, dass die ähnliche – bei weitem nicht die gleiche – Pizza vor Corona in etwa elf oder zwölf Euro gekostet habe und nun mit ca. 50% Aufschlag für 19,50 € nur noch mit knapp der Hälfte belegt sei (ein jungfräulicher, unberührter Rand von geschätzt zwei Zentimetern Breite rund rum, kaum wahrnehmbare rote Pizzapaste, Schinkenschnipsel in Daumennagelgröße dekorativ verteilt, hier und da ein Zweiglein Rucola und Parmesan so hauchdünn, dass nicht einmal ein Gourmet andeutungsweise den Käsegeschmack hätte erahnen können). Der Ober antwortete – wie mir schien – routiniert und voll des Vorwurfes: „Das hätten Sie gleich sagen müssen, dann hätten wir selbstverständlich verbessert!“ Ach ja: Ich bin selber schuld! Offensichtlich meint das „Villaggio“, sich derartige Knausrigkeit und Arroganz leisten zu können.

Das Essen ist gut, das Ambiente sehr schön, der Service schwankt. Die Kellnerin Stella war immer super freundlich, professionell und auf Zack. Bei anderen Servicekräften variierte der Service je nach Laune und Belastungssituation. Uns wurden schon – trotz genauer Nachfrage/Absprache vorab mit dem Kellner – ein Essen mit einem Lebensmittel serviert, gegen das der Kunde allergisch war. Im letzten Moment fiel es zum Glück noch auf und das Essen wurde zurückgenommen und angepasst. Neulich wurde uns ein falsches Essen gebracht, der Kellner hatte es bei unserer Bestellung verwechselt/falsch verstanden. Er wurde daraufhin für uns sichtbar von einem anderen Kellner zusammengestaucht. Das halte ich für keine gute Fehler- und Firmenkultur. Fehler können immer passieren, man muss aber professionell damit umgehen. Mitarbeiter bloßzustellen ist nicht in Ordnung. Eine Entschuldigung für das Versehen erfolgte bei uns derweil nicht. Stattdessen wurde uns das neue, korrekte Essen nach einiger Zeit recht lieblos hingestellt und wir wurden von da an nach unserem Eindruck unterkühlt bedient. Nach dem Hauptgang wurden wir ca. 1,5 Stunden nicht beachtet. Niemand hat gefragt, ob alles in Ordnung ist oder ob wir noch etwas bestellen möchten. Auf der Rechnung wurde, wie mir erst später auffiel, ein Posten mit 21 € statt – wie auf der Tageskarte ausgewiesen – mit 19 € berechnet. Das hinterlässt kein gutes Gefühl. Man kann hier sehr schöne Abende verbringen, das Essen ist toll (wenn auch recht teuer), aber manchmal ist der Service nicht sehr professionell. Man braucht mitunter ein dickes Fell und man sollte klar kommunizieren und sich lieber einmal mehr beim Gegenüber versichern, das alles so verstanden wurde, wie es gemeint war.

Yes, the atmosphere is nice and so is the service. However, I find it difficult to understand the very good reviews. The food was ok but far from excellent. The appetizer platter was ok - no taste highlights. The (simple!) salami pizza took forever (our boys were half starving) and tasted absolutely average. We expected much more based on the reviews. There are better alternatives everywhere in Hamburg.

Great restaurant in the heart of Volksdorf, nice to have a modern Italian restaurant so close by. Always great service, you are greeted with a smile and immediately feel at home. Not a dusty atmosphere but a modern, bright, friendly and cozy atmosphere. The food is also delicious, not fancy but super tasty. No unnecessary decoration on the plate, beautifully presented and above all great quality that you can taste - just great. The outdoor area is also lovingly furnished and cozy. The covered terrace is wonderful in summer and if it gets too hot, the shade can be extended over the entire area. We were here at just under 30°... completely pleasant. Parking spaces can usually be found in the surrounding streets...it takes a bit of luck. We would love to come back and are happy to have tried this restaurant.

The greasiest pizza in town. The oil just runs down and the pizza crust is soaked with fat. You can hardly eat them. We gave the Villagio a chance again and again (due to a lack of alternatives), but now it was really the last time. Very unfortunate.

I've been here many times. The pizzas are extremely tasty and seasoned, and the pasta dishes are of high quality. The service is friendly and attentive. The owner doesn't shy away from customer contact, asks about the guests' well-being and is very pleasant to talk to. Musically, the ambience corresponds entirely to typical Italian restaurants. Some like it, some don't. But there is a great selection of seating options, inside, outside and on the terraces.

We had an unforgettable evening at Villaggio with a group of 18 women. We sat in the winter garden, which could be completely opened on one side with a sliding door. The table was beautifully decorated with fresh flowers and the entire ambience was authentically Italian. The entire staff was simply adorable! Service on point! Always there when you needed something and every contact with a wink and a funny saying. As a guest you feel incredibly welcome here and very well looked after. The food was excellent! Since we can all cook fairly well ourselves and have already visited many very good restaurants, the expectations of the food were quite high. Every single dish was wonderfully prepared. Personally, I haven't eaten such a fantastic fillet of beef in a long time and the generous side dish of vegetables that were perfectly cooked and the truffled mashed potatoes made this dish a real taste experience! The menu has something for every taste and every budget. We were all in the Villaggio for the first time but definitely not the last. We are completely thrilled and will share this enthusiasm not only on Google, but also with family and friends. The visit to the Villaggio was the perfect end to the day for my sister's bachelorette party. He couldn't have been more successful. We say thank you very much and see you next time!

Is there a new “Haus Grappa”?? At Stella we always get the riserva il bacio delle muse. Tuesday there was a spicy drink - unfortunately not recommended...

We went to this restaurant this afternoon without a reservation. After a friendly welcome and quick ordering, we waited for our pizzas. Unfortunately in vain. When we asked after 45 minutes, we were told that we should wait another 7-10 minutes because the first pizza was "burnt". Since we had to attend an appointment, we had to leave the restaurant very hungry.

We ordered salmon and sea bream and they were both very tasty. The service is very nice and accommodating. I can recommend the restaurant.

There was a salt crust on the meat and despite scraping it off it was far too salty. They said that the truffle was extra with the mashed potatoes, but it was mixed in. Pizza was too oily. The restaurant was nicely decorated

Unfortunately the prices are completely exorbitant. I don't think it's reasonable to charge €16 for a bruschetta pizza with a tablespoon of chopped tomatoes and onions spread over it. It's a shame, the atmosphere is nice and the service was very friendly.

Visited Ristorante Villagio and had an amazing experience. The traditional goose was amazing and it was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was warm and festive, and the service was phenomenal. What truly stood out was the friendliness of the staff, who made us feel incredibly welcome and ensured we had a wonderful evening. I would gladly come back and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a similar dining experience.

I was there two days ago and can now call myself a “regular” because a visit to the Villaggio has never been a flop for me and so I just enjoy going there. Personally, I really like the atmosphere, it's chic and stylish, but a casual visit with a girlfriend for Prosecco and Primi is completely ok. The pizzas are also very tasty! Children get their money's worth here. We have now also celebrated starting school there with family, birthdays or other smaller occasions; it has ALWAYS been a “permanent bench”. The staff is very nice and personal, taking a minute to say a few nice words. The food on the table and on the menu is always tasteful and of high quality without any surprises. The drinks balanced and professional. Yes, it is expensive, true. But you should always look at an evening in a restaurant holistically, more as an “experience” on all levels. So I see it anyway. And not every restaurant in Hamburg can deliver that! Gracie!

Thank you for your hospitality, the great food, and the feel-good atmosphere in which we were able to spend a few really nice hours together with our friends. Not only the service, but also the menu left nothing to be desired, and it's a shame that we couldn't try it all the way through. We will definitely continue this on our next visit. Great ambience, good food, there is always bread with spread and a limoncello :-) super nice, long-standing service staff. We are there regularly and are happy to come back again and again.

It was very noisy in the restaurant, the mashed potatoes with truffle had lumps, the pizza dough🍕 was a bit hard, and then they took a long time to count 🧾 But the veal cheeks were delicious 😉

We have been going to Villagio as a family for years. I'm a big fan of the pizzas, but everything else I've ordered so far has been delicious! Prices are slightly high, but in my opinion that largely matches what the kitchen conjures up. And in addition to the Italian classics, there are always authentic and sometimes unusual dishes on the daily menu. The waiters are without exception friendly and have a charming sense of humor. We were also there for my daughter's birthday, which was celebrated very nicely and at no extra charge with a serenade from all the waiters, a mega sparkler and a dessert present. Really good! It is important to me to mention that the restaurant has a huge number of regular guests. So if something didn't fit, it wouldn't be the case. Definitely go there if you haven't been there yet. Reservation in advance is highly recommended! Thanks to the whole Villagio team - keep it up!

In which I was able to particularly enjoy the fish dish with a view of a red-flowering and a white-flowering chestnut tree and the two thatched roofs of the museum village.

Very good, high-quality food and attentive, friendly, relaxed service at high prices. Very comfortable chairs. Two glazed, attached, bright verandas. Maybe the best Italian restaurant in Volksdorf. Clean toilets. Highly Recommended.

The restaurant and hotel obviously belong together, but what a world of difference: in the hotel there is an extremely warm welcome and authentic service, in the restaurant fake friendliness dominates: behind the guests' backs, the (male) staff constantly use Italian expletives ("fanculo", ... ), which have no place in a restaurant. Probably assuming that the German guests don't understand Italian. The food is quite tasty, but we obviously don't know what "vegan" means here: the vegan asparagus risotto we ordered was laced with dairy products. Conclusion: Not possible at all!
