Very nice, solid restaurant with attentive service. There is nothing intrusive or overly strenuous. Only the price of the drinks is somehow disproportionate.

We've been going to Romans for decades, the cuisine isn't always inspiring but it's reliably good. For us it is particularly pleasant to be able to eat a la carte from midday until closing time. The garden is a dream, the atmosphere in the high rooms is very nice and the staff are mostly friendly and always competent Gladly again G.S

The quality of the food fluctuates, last time it was great, yesterday it was average. Service was very intrusive this time. Active question about digestive should be on the house. Wine recommendation was top. Too loud for a sophisticated dinner.

The service was very attentive without being intrusive. Very pleasant. A real rarity these days! Food is very good and not always standard, which makes it special. It's a little cramped and loud when there's a lot going on. But somehow cozy with all the wood and the creaky floor.

This was my second time in Romans, after the first time I swore I would never go there again: the first time we actually just wanted to have an aperitif. The waiter actually didn't want to give us a table, even though we were still very early. As we were sitting, the head waiter immediately instructed a colleague to remove the bread basket that was at the table because we didn't want to eat anything. For me it's a no go when it comes to guests. There was nothing to go with the high-priced aperitif. The service was snooty. So we decided never to do that to ourselves again. After 4 years, despite all our resolutions, we dared to start again: We wanted to have an aperitif and a snack again. Unfortunately we were unlucky again. We were assigned the worst spot right at the entrance, even though we were there well before dinner time and 90 percent of all seats were free. That's no way to win new customers... The food was lukewarm and tasteless. The aperitif like last time without a small addition, as is usual at other restaurants. So I can't understand the good reviews in any way. I don't know if I'll try there again in my life. It's a shame because we eat out well and often. But not here and there.

Very well located, nice atmosphere outside in sunny temperatures in the shade. The staff was friendly, the food was delicious!

I'm only going there to do a favor for someone I know. Unfortunately, the food is always boring, unfortunately. The terrace is quite nice, the toilets less so.

The evening was wonderfully mild, the food as always wonderful, my favorite wine from Coffele, the service funny and attentive. I love the restaurant and am happy that something like this still exists in Munich.

7 years ago I was here often because I was often in Munich for work. The reason back then was the excellent quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff. Today, after 7 years, I happen to be in Munich, having dinner at Romans and I can say that both the quality and the professionalism are excellent - just like back then! Wir waren total begeistert. Super Essen! Sehr nette Bedienung. Ging auch super auf unsere kleinen Kinder ein. Sie waren so begeistert von den Butternudeln.

At first there was a friendly welcome, which then changed immediately when we sat down at the table that was assigned to us. Another waiter came to our table and said that he was assigning the tables in an extremely unfriendly tone. After a good 20 minutes someone came to take our order after the bar staff instructed a waiter to do so! The pizzas weren't fully baked and it wasn't mozzarella but rather Gouda or something else on the pizza. When we complained about this, the same waiter just smiled and shook his head. Pure arrogance and we won't go to Romans anymore.

Was here again after a few years. I really liked it again. Very good food and very friendly service!

Auf das Essen mussten wir über eine Stunde warten, andere Gäste die später kamen hatten sofort alles… Es ist unfassbar was heute passiert war und das als Stammgäste seit 20 Jahren!!! Nie mehr wieder dorthin… Jedem war alles egal…. Schrecklich….

We took the surprise menu for our 10 year old. Our impressions: - During the first course they forgot that I was a vegetarian, so instead of salmon they served a quick, boring couscous salad. - In 2, the wine was only served at the end, the dish was pasta with truffles and oil without emulsion. - The 3rd course was good risotto with cold antipasti on top - The 4th course panna cotta, it was okay but the dessert wine was way too sweet Overall very disappointing for 180€ for 2, and the waiter only asked suggestive questions if it was good without showing any genuine interest

The food is at best average, actually below average. Value for price is certainly not convincing, with neither super fresh nor high-quality ingredients. Only the place itself, close to Nymphenburg canal is special. I am disappointed.

Immer wieder sehr schön. Leider sind im Außenbereich viele Mücken. Hier wäre es toll, wenn das Restaurant Mückensprays zur Verfügung stellt. Service war ok, etwas vergesslich.

Tolle auswahl, sehr gutes Essen und sehr freundlicher Service. PS: Eine konventionelle Karte wäre uns lieber gewesen als ein Tabletcomputer.

Tony our waiter was a gentleman and made this experience enjoyable beyond words! The food was fantastic, the pace set was ideal and providing the correct balance allowing all courses to be enjoyed to its extended! Do not hesitate to come and take part on a wonderful time! The atmosphere of their patio is among the best we’ve ever experienced.

Favorite Italian restaurant in Munich!

Digital menus are very difficult to use. There is a lack of overview! Asparagus dishes included fried octopus with hash browns; the asparagus was missing. Hugo consisted almost entirely of elderberry syrup; Had to be diluted with mineral water because it was way too sweet! Creme Brule probably came from the freezer… far too compact in consistency and tasteless. At least there was a lemoncello as an apology. A pity! I have enjoyed visiting Romans for decades. Maybe the chef was on vacation!

Das ist einfach immer wieder ein Erlebnis, für ein paar Stunden gefühlt ein wunderschöner Urlaub im geliebten Bella Italia. Bei den Servicemitarbeitern spürt man die Liebe zum Beruf, den Gästen fehlt es hier an nichts. 💯Punkte an das gesamte Team von der Küche bis hin zum Kellner. Gerne immer wieder mit einer 100 Prozent weiter Empfehlung.

Wir waren total zufrieden! So nette Kellner, so eine freundliche Bedienung erlebt man selten! Wir kommen wirklich gerne wieder - und wissen gar nicht warum wir schon so lange nicht mehr da gewesen sind! Es war wie heimkommen nach langer Zeit ... ab jetzt wieder öfter!

The best place for a dinner in Munich. We had spent here four out of the five evenings and each one was amazing! Can't remember it enough.

Wir hatten ein Überraschungsmenü. Die Bresaola zur Vorspeise war so dick aufgeschnitten, dass man sie zum Verzehr nur äußerst schwer mit dem Messer schneiden konnte. Und dies in einem sogenannten italienischen Restaurant. Bresaola wird hauchdünn serviert. Als Hauptgang hatte ich einen Fischspiess. Die Garnele war weich - wie schlecht aufgetaucht - und ungenießbar.

Fantastic once again! Exceptional food, nice service and beautiful location. Quite expensive for an Italian restaurant in Munich, but it's definitely worth it! We recommend!

Upscale Italian restaurant, very nice furnishings, the garden is a dream, a green oasis in the middle of Neuhausen. The Ristorante has flair, very attentive waiters, the food is excellent! The Taglioni al Tarfufo taste excellent. Great wine selection. Kleiber deduction for the rather long waiting time for food or between courses.

Today is the very first time in my life where the waiter doesn't want to take my order like I wanted because in his opinion it will be too much for me!! He thinks 1 salad, a soup and a plate of pasta is too much and so he decides for me what I should take!! I'll NEVER come here again in my life! The customer should be able to say what he wants, especially if you are paying for it.

All in all a good Italian restaurant. Except for the service. I was the only one at the table who ordered a white wine. Only when the invoice was issued did it become clear that a bottle had been charged for EUR 55, which was of course still 3/4 full. My complaint that I had ordered a glass was not accepted. That's not the fine English way, but at least the sales are good.

Celebrated my 75th birthday in the next room! It was very pleasant and everyone really enjoyed it. Sylvia looked after us personally. The youngest children are spoiled. We felt better than “at home”! The menu at its best and something for everyone (vegan, vegetarian...). The chef at Romans is a chef - worthy of stars! The surprise at dessert was the highlight! Thanks Sylvia!

We were in Romans for the first time with 8 drivers on the farewell evening of the Munich Security Conference 2023 and we really enjoyed it. We have therefore reserved a table here again in 2024 for the same reason. The reservation went very well. The ambience is very nice. Unfortunately, the food no longer corresponded to the high prices. The portion of lasagne could only be described as a sample. The antipasti were just average for 21 euros. Most of us had veal liver which was ok, but nothing more. Since we all wanted to pay separately, the payment process took extremely long. It's a shame, the performance should probably be adjusted to the prices here.

Everyone is free to visit Ristorante Romans. At this point I will describe my impressions as briefly as possible. Basically, Romans is not a place worth highlighting. There is quite good food at high prices in a fairly lavish atmosphere. However, it was absurd that an employee placed a card with a QR code on the table with the brief note that it was the menu, but did not offer an alternative. Stylish and unfriendly. The experienced waiter was under increasing pressure during our stay because the end of his service was approaching and he wanted to cash in. He became uncontrollable when we tried to push off the dessert order. Shortly afterwards he put the cutlery on the table all too demonstratively. All in all, not a successful stay that doesn't result in us seeing you again.

We were there for lunch...the salad tasted bland and boring, the tartare was horrible...the service staff was loud And he could have kept some comments to himself...also a cleaning crew that properly dusted and cleaned the restaurant Would be necessary.
