Ristorante ROMANS in München

Unfortunately not a good experience. The waiter in particular with his "advice" certainly did not make the restaurant look good by defining some dishes only for "potato-eating Krauts" and not recommending them because they were poorly made and with poor quality ingredients for the refined palate of us (like him) Italians. Furthermore, despite acting like a great "chef", he was unable to bring us a simple dish of spaghetti Calabrese!!! His luck was that our friend Aldo didn't give him even 2 slaps when, with a bill of 560 euros, he wanted to "decide to get" a tip of 40 euros!!! Stuff that if it happened to chef Borghese he would have him closed down in half an hour. Dishes presented well but not exceptional in taste or cooking (I repeat, after insistent advice I recommend taking them): appetizer of stuffed fried flowers digested the following evening, spaghetti Calabrese overcooked, not very spicy and with fish, beef fillet overcooked and with "something" of fried food on top that is indecipherable and inedible, mediocre dessert, coffee served cold. Almost 100 euros each with only 2 bottles of wine (not the extra luxury ones). Service rated ZERO. Not to return!!!!

I've been enjoying going to Romans for some time now. The dishes are always delicious, but what really makes the evening perfect is the service and here I definitely have to single out Toni. I was served by him again on my last visit and today. You just feel well looked after and you can tell that he is passionate about what he does. Toni simply has this special charm that makes the entire experience so much nicer. He makes you immediately feel comfortable and welcome. It's not an ordinary service, but a real asset to the restaurant.

We had reserved a table for dinner and were in the restaurant for the first time. Since it was also the first meeting together, a table by the window and not directly in the middle aisle would have been nicer and quieter. The taste of the food was very good. The preparation of the food could be even more loving. However, there was also something going on on Saturday evening. If you want to eat well and have a good crowd, you're in good hands here.

I had the pleasure of eating at Roman's Restaurant in Munich and it was a great experience. The atmosphere is very pleasant and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed meal. The entire staff is extremely professional and friendly, which makes the visit even more enjoyable. The food was consistently delicious - every dish I tried was superbly prepared and perfectly balanced in taste. We particularly recommend the San Valentine, which was simply incredibly delicious! We tried the menu there on Valentine's Day. The restaurant is okay, but unfortunately the menu didn't convince us personally. Unfortunately, the taste wasn't our cup of tea. More appearance than reality :)

Nice interior and location. It is also obvious that they have invested energy into building the menu. Service is OK but nothing more. Empty prosecco glasses remained on the table even after desserts :) They never offered a refill neither for it, nor for water. They also brought bread and olive oil but no plates. Food was a mixed experience. Tuna tataki was so salty it was impossible to eat. To their credit they have taken it away without any questions and not charged us. Calamari and deep fried tartar were good! Desserts were quite nice as well.

This beautifully designed Italian restaurant is located near the Nymphenburg Canal. I have spent many wonderful hours here and have never been disappointed with the food. The meat and fish dishes as well as pasta and pizzas taste excellent and are of very good quality. The day ticket always offers nice surprises at a reasonable price. The service is friendly, helpful and very attentive. The rooms are modern but stylishly designed. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed. Here you can enjoy a long, leisurely lunch or dinner. For the summer there is an equally cozy, large outdoor area where you can dine comfortably under old trees.

I love Romans 💓 I recently picked up 6 take-away dishes there - all very tasty and today I was there for lunch 🍝. The service was very, very attentive, the welcome was very, very friendly, my absolute favorite restaurant from now on. Thank you very much 🌸

Das Restaurant ist wirklich schön, die Atmosphäre angenehm, und das Personal ist freundlich, hilfsbereit und schnell. Auch die Weinauswahl ist gut. Die Vorspeisen, Garnelen und Oktopus, waren in Ordnung, allerdings hatten wir beim Kartoffelpüree den Eindruck, dass es ein Fertigprodukt war. Die Hauptspeisen haben leider nicht unseren Geschmack getroffen. Wir sind uns ziemlich sicher, dass die Gnocchi ebenfalls Fertigprodukte waren, und die Gorgonzola-Soße war unserer Meinung nach zu fade. Das Steak war zu durch und hatte einen Geschmack, den wir als „komisch“ empfunden haben. Wir haben das Essen dann auch zurück gehen lassen. Positiv war, dass das Personal auf unsere Rückmeldung eingegangen ist und uns angeboten hat, etwas anderes zu bestellen. Da wir jedoch keine Lust mehr auf ein neues Gericht hatten, haben wir darauf verzichtet. Alles in allem hat das Restaurant Potenzial, aber geschmacklich hat es uns nicht überzeugt.

The servise was delicate and the foods were original, various and delicious and the ambience was good. Our waiter Filippo was very kind. We had a lovely family dinner.

Freunde haben uns ins Romans eingeladen, sodass wir den weiten Weg aus Richtung Ebersberg auf uns genommen haben. Die Vorschusslorbeeren die man uns mitgeteilt hatte, haben sich dann nicht ganz erfüllt, was uns schon enttäuscht hat nach der langen Anreise. Der Service war nicht freundlich sondern eher Wortkarg ohne eine Mine zu verziehen. Hatte wohl einen schlechten Tag. Dafür war er alle 2 Minuten am Tisch um irgend ein Teil abzuräumen. Was steckt da bloß dahinter? Ein Schelm wer Böses vermutet…Meine Minestrone wie auch meine Frutti di Mare Spaghetti waren neutral gewürzt. Da hätte ich mehr erwartet auch in Bezug auf die Meeresfrüchte die das Preis zur Leistung Verhältnis fraglich werden lassen. Das Rinder carpaccio meiner Frau hat dagegen gut geschmeckt, dafür beklagte sie sich über die Pizza, die ebenfalls frei von Gewürzen war. Am Tisch hatten wir noch Kalbsfilets, die waren wiederum sehr gut. Die Espressi perfekt, wie auch das tiramisu. Sehr gut hat uns das Ambiente gefallen. Sehr schön auch die weißen Stoffservietten und die Tischdekoration.

Unfortunately, New Year's Eve menu was more than disappointing. For 110€ per person I expect that all the food comes to the table at least halfway warm, that the food is cooked through, and that what is stated in the menu is served on the table. The starter: raw potato gratin, lukewarm 1st course: noodles lukewarm 2nd course: Monkfish completely RAW, tasteless and cold 3rd course: half was missing from the plate, components as stated in the menu, completely omitted All in all, the food lacked finesse and taste, it was sometimes cold and the food was not ready to eat! We are disappointed for the money and will not recommend or come back

Zu viele Leute im viel zu engen und zu warmen Raum! Es gab ein Silvester Menü und leider keine Alternative und Preis nachlass für einen nicht genommenen Gang. Personal war leider nicht in der Lage auf Wünsche von Gästen einzugehen! Einen Grappa als Entschädigung einem 15 Jährigen anzubieten, geht garnicht!

We hosted our Christmas party in Romans because we needed both vegan and gluten-free food and, according to the website and telephone information, this was not a problem. The website also explicitly advertised the organization of Christmas parties. In a previous phone call, I had discussed our wishes (antipasti to share on the table and an aperitif for everyone upon arrival). Our conclusion: The aperitif thing worked, the rest didn't work at all. The waiter was completely overwhelmed and that didn't improve over the course of the evening. The quality of the food was excellent. At 12:45 a.m. we were very rudely and rudely escorted out, even though the website says the restaurant closes at 1 a.m. "or when the last guest leaves". It has to be said here that we continued to ensure very good sales throughout the evening and of course behaved decently (as a patent law firm). We won't come back.

Mein Mann und ich besuchten das Lokal und waren als wir das Restaurant verließen sehr glücklich und zufrieden. Mein Avocado-Mango-Salat war sehr lecker und die glutenfreien Tagliatelle Puttanesca ein Gedicht. Ich habe noch nie ein so perfektes Nudelgericht gegessen wie dort. Auch der Salat und die Riesengarnelen meines Mannes sind zu empfehlen. Erwähnen möchte ich den sehr freundlichen Service: Der Kellner erkundigte sich, ob die glutenfreien Nudeln noch da sind. Sie wurden extra nochmal zubereitet . Vielen Dank!

Im Gastraum war es sehr laut, eine Unterhaltung war kaum möglich. Der Service könnte aufmerksamer sein (z.B. leere Teller abräumen, Nachbestellungen nachfragen etc.) Die Essenqualität war ok, aber auch nicht umwerfend. Das Preis- / Leistungsverhältnis ist nicht stimmig.

A very pleasant atmosphere. We had dinner with nine adults and six children. The staff was very friendly and great with the children. But they behaved well. The food was good, with room for improvement. The adults had three courses. One child had Pizza Margherita, he thought there was too much cheese and the dough was very soft. I would come again.

Die Atmosphäre wie immer sehr angenehm mit freundlicher professioneller Bedienung. Ein ganz vorzüglichen Roter und Essen von ausgezeichneter Qualität (großartige Beombeersauce!).

Unfortunately it has slowed down a lot there. Service lackluster. Not paying attention. Unfortunately, the pasta was lukewarm and the taste of the sauce was only average. It's a shame, I used to enjoy going there often. Now I won't come anymore. Oh yes, and why are the menus on small iPads? It's much more charming to hold a printed card in your hand.

We've been going to Romans for decades, the cuisine isn't always inspiring but it's reliably good. For us it is particularly pleasant to be able to eat a la carte from midday until closing time. The quality of the food fluctuates, last time it was great, yesterday it was average. Service was very intrusive this time. Active question about digestive should be on the house. Wine recommendation was top. Too loud for a sophisticated dinner.

The service was very attentive without being intrusive. Very pleasant. A real rarity these days! Food is very good and not always standard, which makes it special. It's a little cramped and loud when there's a lot going on. But somehow cozy with all the wood and the creaky floor.

This was my second time in Romans, after the first time I swore I would never go there again: the first time we actually just wanted to have an aperitif. The waiter actually didn't want to give us a table, even though we were still very early. As we were sitting, the head waiter immediately instructed a colleague to remove the bread basket that was at the table because we didn't want to eat anything. For me it's a no go when it comes to guests. There was nothing to go with the high-priced aperitif. The service was snooty. So we decided never to do that to ourselves again. After 4 years, despite all our resolutions, we dared to start again: We wanted to have an aperitif and a snack again. Unfortunately we were unlucky again. We were assigned the worst spot right at the entrance, even though we were there well before dinner time and 90 percent of all seats were free. That's no way to win new customers... The food was lukewarm and tasteless. The aperitif like last time without a small addition, as is usual at other restaurants. So I can't understand the good reviews in any way. I don't know if I'll try there again in my life. It's a shame because we eat out well and often. But not here and there.

I'm only going there to do a favor for someone I know. Unfortunately, the food is always boring, unfortunately. The terrace is quite nice, the toilets less so.

The evening was wonderfully mild, the food as always wonderful, my favorite wine from Coffele, the service funny and attentive. I love the restaurant and am happy that something like this still exists in Munich.

Today, after 7 years, I happen to be in Munich, having dinner at Romans and I can say that both the quality and the professionalism are excellent - just like back then! Was here again after a few years. I really liked it again. Very good food and very friendly service!

At first there was a friendly welcome, which then changed immediately when we sat down at the table that was assigned to us. Another waiter came to our table and said that he was assigning the tables in an extremely unfriendly tone. After a good 20 minutes someone came to take our order after the bar staff instructed a waiter to do so! The pizzas weren't fully baked and it wasn't mozzarella but rather Gouda or something else on the pizza. When we complained about this, the same waiter just smiled and shook his head. Pure arrogance and we won't go to Romans anymore.

We took the surprise menu for our 10 year old. Our impressions: - During the first course they forgot that I was a vegetarian, so instead of salmon they served a quick, boring couscous salad. - In 2, the wine was only served at the end, the dish was pasta with truffles and oil without emulsion. - The 3rd course was good risotto with cold antipasti on top - The 4th course panna cotta, it was okay but the dessert wine was way too sweet Overall very disappointing for 180€ for 2, and the waiter only asked suggestive questions if it was good without showing any genuine interest

The food is at best average, actually below average. Value for price is certainly not convincing, with neither super fresh nor high-quality ingredients. Only the place itself, close to Nymphenburg canal is special. I am disappointed.

Immer wieder sehr schön. Leider sind im Außenbereich viele Mücken. Hier wäre es toll, wenn das Restaurant Mückensprays zur Verfügung stellt. Service war ok, etwas vergesslich.

Es war wie immer super🙏leckeres Essen, man sitzt sehr schön. Super nettes Personal. Alles prima.

Digital menus are very difficult to use. There is a lack of overview! Asparagus dishes included fried octopus with hash browns; the asparagus was missing. Hugo consisted almost entirely of elderberry syrup; Had to be diluted with mineral water because it was way too sweet! Creme Brule probably came from the freezer… far too compact in consistency and tasteless. At least there was a lemoncello as an apology. A pity! I have enjoyed visiting Romans for decades. Maybe the chef was on vacation!

No matter when, no matter how, he is friendly and accommodating!!! Clear recommendation!!
