After a long hike, this restaurant was exactly what we needed. We had bruschetta and pizza. Both were delicious and arrived within minutes. The service was very attentive and friendly. We'll definitely be back! 🌞

If you want a pizza or some pasta in the region in the evening, you can do that here. The dishes are really good. In the pizza Caprese, which my daughter had, they perhaps skimped on the tomatoes. Tomatoes were served in cubes instead of slices, and only 10 of them. The rest of our 6 dishes were good. The restaurant is and feels very cramped, and the staff seem overwhelmed. There are wrong, unnecessary walking routes, and there is no overall overview. The tables are served individually and not combined. At the beginning, we had to wait more than 10 minutes for the menu, even though there were 3 people serving.

The pizza was good. We were served quickly, and the food was served quickly as well.

The food was delicious, the atmosphere was very pleasant. Clean tablecloths, a clean restaurant, and very friendly staff. What more could you want? The neighboring Bavarian regional restaurant can't even come close to keeping up in any of these areas, which should give you pause.

This was the worst experience I've ever had with a waitress. It was the first time I've experienced racism in a restaurant and heard arrogant comments. I ended up canceling my order and not eating. This incident ultimately ruined our entire vacation. I really wish the restaurant would pay attention to hiring the right employees who enjoy their jobs and aren't rude to guests. If you only focus on cooking and not on the staff serving guests, you could lose business.

We ate here spontaneously...the bruschetta, pizzas, and pasta were delicious and plentiful. The pizza had a nice thin crust and was well-topped.

A must-visit in Bad Hindelang. The owner is a witty and sometimes distracted man, but also incredibly warm. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. Whether pasta or pizza, the portions are always plentiful. If you like the view and a different kind of Italian cuisine, you should definitely give this place a try.

Hi y’all, We visited this restaurant shortly and the food is amazing. At least what we ordered. I had a lasagne and a wheat beer. The lasagne was hot and definitely self made. The portion made me full that’s for sure. The service was also splendid. They quickly noticed us and took on our order. The beverages came practically immediately and the food shortly afterwards. The only thing which was a little funny is that the owner of the restaurant greeted most of us but he was a little confused on that day 😂 but nothing to worry about. The atmosphere was great. It was a hot day during the summer month. No noise at all. You can really relax there while eating. And the view is just amazing when you sit outside. Best wishes Peter

The food was delicious, but the service was absolutely terrible. The waitress was rude, racist, lied about the payment options, and even messed up our order. When we pointed this out, she reacted extremely unprofessionally and dismissively. No matter how good the food is, I would never go here again.

We go to Bad Hindelang every year and occasionally to Mamamia. The taste is absolutely excellent, and the prices are reasonable for a vacation spot. We recently ordered two pizzas to go. I was really disappointed this time. The toppings were absolutely meager. The salami pizza had six small slices of salami, and the other one wasn't much better. It looked more like two cheese pizzas with some toppings straying between them. Please charge a euro more and top the pizzas properly.

Absolutely!!! Definitely the very best pizza!!! The base is nice and thin, not soggy, the toppings are balanced (not too much, not too little), and the crust is perfect! It's more than 100% my pizza taste!

Very unfriendly!!!!! The ladies there were incredibly unfriendly. Unfortunately, we didn't hear the waitress properly at first, so she immediately tried to yell at my husband for not keeping his fork?! Pizza was good Starter plate was okay, not very Italian Pasta was very bland It was busy, but no reason to ignore the customers after their meal. If you pay by card, you have to go to the bar and then they shout at you what you had without even seeing the bill?! When I pointed out the unfriendliness, I was told not to come back. So, I guess they don't need customers! Would never go there again.

The food is excellent; we tried different dishes on two visits, and everything was delicious. The pizzas were particularly delicious, with a nice thin, slightly crispy base and just the right amount of topping. The service was very attentive, and the wait time was normal. Compared to nearby restaurants, the price is a bit lower. We highly recommend a visit.

Delicious pizza, very good Aperol Spritz. Friendly host/owner! The restaurant recently opened for lunch, which is great, as it used to only open from 5:30 p.m. A pizza was shared for our two small children without any problems. The terrace probably has the most beautiful view in all of Bad Hindelang! 🤌🤩 I would have liked to try other dishes to better evaluate the entire menu. One small criticism: The pizza dough was missing a bit of salt – then the crust would have been even tastier – hence one star deducted.

We got a table without a reservation. The staff was friendly, and we didn't have to wait long for our food. There aren't many parking spaces in front of the restaurant, but there's a large free parking lot down by the bus station.

We're here for rehab and needed a change. The service here is very friendly and the pizza is super delicious, made with really fresh ingredients. This is our second time here and we'll be back again. Thank you so much.

Rather below average. Pizza was rather tough and had too much cheese, but at least it came from a wood-fired oven. Ambiance takes some getting used to (plastic flowers, furniture doesn't fit together,...). The ice cream sundaes on the next table looked like they were from the 70s. Almost no parking space in front of the restaurant.

We went there twice and each time we found a boss running around the room like a chicken laying an egg. Yes, sometimes he actually ran, always muttered something to himself and was sometimes unfriendly, sometimes even rude to the guests. If you praised the food, which was really good, you would only hear a fleeting "Ok" and see a stressed face. There were a maximum of five tables occupied at the time. All other forces created a pleasant counterpoint and were consistently friendly and calm. Once you even heard the boss swearing and shouting something like “all the service staff are gone”. We were able to recognize at least two people working in the kitchen and another three (including the screamer) in service. In conclusion, you have to say that you are dealing with a pretty good pizzeria here, but due to the operator described, it is a no-go for us from now on. The height of the naive impudence was when my wife asked the young waiter, who was probably working as a temporary worker, for "some parmesan". And after the young man had asked his boss how he should react to this, the answer was heard throughout the restaurant: "Yeah, okay, but there was already Parmesan in it!!" Still questions?

Shortly before our life-threatening hike, we wanted to really strengthen ourselves again. The restaurant, located in the heart of the city, was immediately convincing with its incredibly friendly service. The owner was very accommodating and very welcoming and you couldn't have enough of the breathtaking views. The owner also told us his secret for years: he runs VDM-RP for fun. I was surprised, but it also connected us in a certain way. I have never been able to enjoy a pizza with wonderful roasted aromas and sparkling drinks as much as I did in this magnificent restaurant. So if you want to be taken on a culinary journey, then you are well looked after at this address. There was a loud, roaring engine running in the basement, but it wasn't connected to anything and seemed to be consuming gasoline for the sheer fun of it. An employee probably has a certain motor kink. When I had to confess to the boss that I had forgotten my money, he handed me €5,000 and said, buy yourself something nice, young. Suddenly he could speak German perfectly. A unique recommendation and a must for every visitor to the city of Bad Hindelang. Best regards, the wild Horst Maierhofer

It was a rainy Saturday when we arrived in the town of Bad Hindelang, completely exhausted from a long train journey. A completely normal place at first glance. But one thing caught our eye straight away: the Mamma Mia restaurant. The terrace, from which you can look at a beautiful mountain panorama, convinced us at first before we set off on a very dangerous hike. We were warmly welcomed and you could tell straight away that it wasn't just a pizzeria. Despite the large rush of guests, we were served immediately and the food didn't take long to arrive: an explosion of taste. The pizzas in particular are highly recommended. We were impressed by the professionalism of the restaurant owner and became friends with him very quickly. Not only did we eat deliciously, but we also met a friend for life. If you're looking for friends, you're in good hands here.

Nice ambience. Despite calling ahead, nothing was reserved for us because there was enough space. We were then allowed to sit at a table of four and shortly after we had the cards a group of four came, so we had to move around. Unfortunately my pizza was only lukewarm, but looked very good. The beer that was ordered was forgotten and when we wanted to order an espresso to finish it off, none of the three waitresses were in sight for 20 minutes.

Pizza and pasta were delicious and the price-performance ratio was good. The service was less on point when it came to drinks. It's just annoying having to look around every time you want something to drink. Unfortunately, the Diet Coke was not cooled.

The first time it was ok, the second time the waiter wanted to sell me a frozen mushroom mixture for fresh porcini mushrooms from Italy, I've already eaten a lot of porcini mushrooms and prepared them myself, but these weren't any! Unfortunately, there was a constant smell of gas on the balcony and the friendliness of the first time was no longer noticeable. He wanted to pay by card, but he didn't really want to do that at first. But then he allowed it, and there was no longer a farewell greeting from the boss or employees.

Wir hatten als Vorspeise Bruschetta, Hauptgang Lasagne und Spaghetti Pomodoro, Tiramisu und Getränke. Das Restaurant war halb voll, die Kellner aufmerksam und recht zügig mit dem verteilen der Speisen, die im übrigen sehr lecker waren. Preislich alles im Rahmen und nicht überteuert.

Ate pizza and pasta there, both were delicious. Prices aren't exactly cheap, but still within reason. The terrace is nicely located but a bit carelessly furnished. You stare at boards at eye level. There is much more to it. The menus were not clean, in desperate need of cleaning. Otherwise all good. Inside, the counter was the eye-catcher. But you can see the male economy.

We've gotten pizzas to take away several times. These were always super tasty!

Wir haben 2 Pizzas bestellt und haben nach einer dreiviertel Stunde warten gefragt ob sie uns vergessen hätten. Nach weiteren 20 Minuten bekamen wir erst unsere Bestellung während andere Gäste die nach uns kamen schon das Dessert hatten. Ausser einem mehrmaligem Entschuldigen kam nichts vom Haus. Es wurde einem nichts angeboten . Wenigstens als Geste des Bedauerns. Schade. Denn die Pizza war gut.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at this charming Italian restaurant and our experience was entirely positive. As soon as we entered the restaurant we were warmly greeted by the friendly and attentive staff. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, just right for a relaxing evening. The menu offers an excellent selection of Italian dishes. Of particular note were the pizzas and pastas, both of which were absolutely delicious. The pizza was perfectly prepared, with a crispy base and rich toppings. The pasta was equally excellent, al dente and with a flavorful sauce that exceeded all expectations. We were completely satisfied and will definitely be happy to come back. This restaurant is a wonderful choice for anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Italian cuisine in a friendly and welcoming environment.

Die Bedienung war freundlich aber lustlos. Die bestellten Salate kamen recht zügig waren aber leider eine totale Katastrophe. Lieblos aufeinander geschichtet Eisberg, Möhren und ein paar wenige Tomaten- und Gurkenscheiben überdeckt mit Unmengen an Zwiebeln. Dazu kam Thunfisch bzw. Putenstückchen und eine viel zu saure Vinaigrette. Mit 13 bzw. 14€ zwar jeweils nicht überzogen teuer aber in Punkto Preis/Leistung absolut mangelhaft.

Restaurant-Pizzeria "Mamma Mia": I would like to share my negative experience in this restaurant. We came here in the evening with friends and ordered spaghetti but had to wait about 40 minutes. Apparently the owner came to us later and reported problems, offering to order something else or wait another 20 minutes. We agreed to wait some more, but ended up having to wait another full hour. The worst thing was that despite asking about the possibility of card payment beforehand, we were asked to pay in cash even though we didn't have any cash, which they knew. After much discussion, they finally accepted our card payment, but only on one invoice, despite our request for separate billing. The service was terrible, they didn't bring us condiments and napkins, we had to get them ourselves. There are often strange people in the bar, which creates a beer hall atmosphere. The food, although not bad, wasn't outstanding either: too few ingredients, my friend's dish only consisted of two shrimps and a mussel. The interior wasn't impressive either: shelves of cleaning products were near us, and the toilets left a lot to be desired. I can't recommend this place!

Anyone expecting dishes from a typical Italian restaurant will be disappointed. Pizza and pasta are ok. Salads are not recommended. Every kebab shop can do it at least like this. Given this, I don't think the prices for the salads are appropriate.

Solid food, nothing extraordinary but OK. We were there with our two children who were very hungry. When ordering drinks, we asked for the two portions of spaghetti Bolognese to be brought in advance. When ordering the food, the waiter asked again whether he should bring spaghetti Napoli. We said no, we ordered Bolognese. They actually managed to bring the children's food last, after the starters for the adults and as the last main course. The waiter also informed me that you can't eat spaghetti with a coffee spoon. Thank you! At least there was a schnapps after the bill had already taken about 20 minutes.
