Ristorante Pizzeria Leonardo - Bad Orb in Bad Orb

I had the pleasure of visiting Leonardo in Bad Orb today and would like to share my experience. First I ordered a hot chocolate which was really visually appealing. Unfortunately, the taste was disappointing - it was more like warm milk than hot chocolate, as clearly too little chocolate was used. At a price of almost €5 I would have expected a lot more. Unfortunately, the service also left somewhat mixed feelings. The waiter tried to be humorous, but the comments seemed rather pushy and made us feel very rushed while choosing. That made it a bit uncomfortable for my companion and I at first. When the waiter's family arrived, there was a clear disturbance because no one paid attention to the volume and thus disturbed other guests. I also find it absolutely inappropriate that the little daughter went into the kitchen several times - constantly opening the door, closing the door, sometimes going in to get a pizza, then going out again. For hygienic reasons, in my opinion it has no place in the kitchen. However, the Leonardo exceeded all expectations with the main course! I ordered a cordon bleu with croquettes, salad and a mushroom cream sauce - and it was fantastic. The cordon bleu was the best I've ever had and the mushroom cream sauce was unbeatable. The salad dressing was also excellent, the portions generous and the croquettes plentiful. An absolute delight! In summary: Even if the details weren't perfect, I can definitely recommend the Leonardo. The food is great and the outdoor terrace is a great place to linger. We'll definitely be back!

About a month ago I wanted to treat myself to a pizza. The inside was full and I sat outside. Heard at the next table that they've been waiting for food for about 45 minutes. I wait and am acknowledged by about three waitresses, but not served. Wait exactly 30 minutes and then leave without an order being taken. It's better to ignore this location.

Very tasty, good value for money, very friendly service

We went there to eat with the Schlemmerblock. The dish of the same value was not deducted from the gourmet block, but the cheaper side salad was deducted. The atmosphere is rather dingy and uninviting. The service staff makes excuses. Speaks broken German and makes a rather helpless impression. The lasagna I ordered was divided into two mini pieces and then baked. (Probably some leftovers). The second dish was a mixture of three different types of pasta with cheese gratin. Both dishes were absolutely tasteless and loveless like in the hospital, but each cost a good 15 euros. Despite inflation, the mini portion of "two-part lasagna" is an absolute joke. When asked, one excuse after another. Absolutely lower category compared to other Italians. Not recommended. However, cashing in worked really well. Hope this incompetent store just goes bankrupt in the future. Will come back when there is an appropriate restaurant with capable service staff there.

Worst pizza. The pizza wasn't cooked through, which the cellar even admitted. Nevertheless, the full price had to be paid. Not recommended.

I ate here five times during my six week rehab. Every time I went home happy. Super friendly service, nice atmosphere and delicious food. The limoncello on the house was particularly tasty 😉 I can wholeheartedly recommend Pizzeria Leonardo.

Goulash soup was 100% not homemade, tastes like canned soup.

Excellent food in a relaxed atmosphere. Plus a glass of wine. I highly recommend Restaurante Pizzeria Leonardo. Any time.

Not an Italian restaurant, I've eaten a lot of pizza in Germany but you can only find a pizza prosciutto e funghi like Leonardo's at Aldi. I'm sorry guys, but with pizza there is tomato sauce first, then mozzarella and not a mix of cheese and then prosciutto e funghi, not the other way around..

A variety of foods are very delicious.

Pizza will probably be better in this Italian place, but the schnitzel was nothing to write home about, nor were the fries. The Bio lemonade was tasty

Wow..very nice location, great ambience and that on the day. Certainly even more beautiful in the evening when everything is beautifully lit. Choice of food is huge. And it tastes very good. I haven't had such good pizza in a long time. The salad was also super tasty. The small salad is more than enough as a main meal. The prices are a bit high, but in this case it's worth it to me.

Unfortunately the food wasn't very tasty. The sauces seemed to be pre-made products. The bruschetta was very sour and inedible. The prices were too high for the quality of the food. According to my mother, the toilets also smelled very unpleasant. However, the service was very friendly.

Ich kann die Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Leonardo bietet einen hervorragenden und aufmerksamen Service. Die Speisekarte bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas. Hier bekommt man noch richtige italienische Gerichte. Die Qualität der Speisen ist absolut top. Alles frisch und selbstgemacht. Ich kann Leonardo zu 100% weiterempfehlen.

Germany Restaurant, the second branch, slow meals and enjoy the German flavor, in addition to tables, hidden seating, and open tables. This German Restaurant has a large file with many different types of dishes and other dishes that are available on the site.

Beautiful ambience (both inside and outside), very friendly and personable service, the food is varied, fresh and absolutely delicious! Were there for the second time and we will come again. You just feel comfortable and I have rarely experienced such a great restaurant where everything is really right. Thank you and see you soon 🙂

Nett angerichtetes Cordon Bleu, aber so well done, dass es zäh war, mit viel zäher Käse... war eine Enttäuschung, ebenso der Bardolino. Das Pizza von meiner Frau war ok, aber nicht mehr. Nicht zu empfehlen. Keiner hat nach dem Essen gefragt, wie es war.

The outside terrace was okay, it wasn't good that wheat beer was served in a normal glass with a handle. I haven't experienced it yet. Some people get a schnapps for free, others don't

Located in the old town of Bad Orb, with a large outdoor area under parasols. Large selection of food and drinks. Very friendly service staff. The food was good, but the prices seemed high to me.

Five of us (4 adults plus a toddler) ate there and were all very disappointed. It still looks inviting from the outside, but we sat in the basement (didn't want to be attacked by wasps). So very, very sad and very, very dirty. ALL the tables were full of crumbs. The napkins are simply put back up by the previous customer when he hasn't used them, so very unhygienic considering that you want to wipe your face with them and you can see that several people have already had their fingers on them. There are a lot of cobwebs there. Drinks are brought in old, scratched glasses which are themselves still dirty. So show crumbs on the edge of the glass. The high chair has black and brown spots on the seat cushion. You have to point out to the staff that you should please wipe this down, as well as the table. The food also seemed more like it came from the freezer than like you were eating in a restaurant. I'll be honest, I'm not a chef but I cook much better than that. The pizza dough looks like the pre-baked ones from the store where you just have to put sauce and toppings on it. The spaghetti bologna tastes more out of a can, i.e. rather bland. The Tris di Pasta was also a flop. Tortellini from Aldi or something. The tomato sauce tastes like it comes from a jar and the last sauce was just pesto (also from a jar) mixed with lots of cream. To then charge such high prices for this is a disgrace. I eat much better somewhere else for these prices and get everything homemade. The waitress was friendly, but that was it. For that I would understand this one star. This was definitely our first and our last visit here. I worked in the catering industry for several years, but I'm really amazed at what a situation it is. Personal recommendation for the owner: if you take such a (exorbitant) price, you should offer quality and maybe keep the place clean and even modernize it.

The prices are an absolute disgrace! The waitress could only order drinks and you still had to wait and order for food. A margarita pizza costs €11.99 which isn't even a stone oven pizza and arrived (almost) burnt. I had the feeling that it was a frozen pizza. Pasta with tomato sauce €12.99 and a portion as small as if it was a children's menu. Service from Ukraine, saving as much as possible.

Von der Qualität überhaupt nicht den Preisen entsprechend ! Das könnte man Zuhause besser machen dafür muss man nicht essen gehen .. Die Kellnerin an diesem Abend sehr aufdringlich ,sehr neugierige Fragen gestellt ,mitten in Gespräche eingemischt ..Also alles andere als ein romantischer Abend mit dem Partner ..Man kam sich selber vor wie auf einen präsentier Teller !! Der Schatten Schutz könnte auch mal erneuert werden bei den unverschämten Preisen ....

You can eat delicious seafood pizza with garlic sauce only here. The pizza is baked in the oven, it is aromatic and the base is very tasty. A cup of cappuccino with tiramisu and you can feel like you are in Italy.

We searched online for a pizzeria and found this pizzeria. First impression of a somewhat run-down pizzeria. Not very clean and the menus were very sticky. We paid €72 for 3 pizzas (margarita) that tasted very below average and 1 penne with only tomato sauce plus 5 small cokes. Unfortunately we didn't get a receipt. You feel really ripped off after eating! That was our first and last visit!

The toilets could use a renovation and could also be cleaner. The food was good and the portions were decent. Price-performance ratio is right

Excessive prices for the food you get. A small schnitzel with croquettes for 19€! Probably another ready-made schnitzel. Risotto with ready-made pesto €14. You can find something better for the price.

Great food, great organic lemonades, a beautiful terrace and very clean. I will come by again, I also met the Hanau football team here.

The bruscetta was warmed up in the micro. When cut, it fell apart into individual layers of bread. The tables had stained cushions and you shouldn't sit on the seat cushions

We came to Bad Orb and came across this wonderful restaurant, we ordered schnitzel, we tasted wonderful pizza, I highly recommend schnitzel. Drinks were served to us immediately after we ordered, everything is very quick and super tasty. You can sit on a wonderful terrace and enjoy the atmosphere, or you can go to the restaurant and also enjoy the atmosphere and comfort. Very wonderful guys work there, super friendly and smiling, the owner is also great, I really liked it, we will definitely come back!!!

A disaster, the Pizzas 🍕 seemed frozen, the dough was horrible; they have no shame. Too expensive 2 Pizzas, a salad and two drinks 50 Euro. They also do not give a receipt to corroborate the prices.

We had lunch on June 23rd, 2024. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. We had a pizza that was really soggy, the dough wasn't cooked properly and was soft. Me and my wife had a lasagne supposedly with meat filling! There was only cheap tomato sauce to be found, you had to look for the meat and too much pasta in the dish with no taste! You know it from the hospital or canteen. We cannot recommend this restaurant with inflated prices. Toilets were also an imposition! No towels available!!!

Appearances are deceiving. The beautiful atmosphere in the tranquil health resort makes the high prices seem reasonable at first, but a look behind the scenes reveals this rip-off machine. Overly friendly waiters who can't count to eight when ordering cause the facade to crumble. Poorly maintained toilets show the wrong focus. They manage to serve seven pizzas at the same time that were below average in terms of taste, but the one portion of pasta only arrived 15 minutes later and was slightly undercooked or burnt, which couldn't be recognized under the flood of sauce. The small tea for around four euros and the frozen pizzas for the price of a luxury pizza unfortunately taste worse than if they were baked in the oven at home.

Delicious food, nice quiet beer garden, friendly service but sometimes a bit poorly organized.

The pizzas definitely tasted like frozen pizzas. The fat was floating in the soup. The price in the end didn't add up according to our calculation (2 x pizzas for ~12€ each, a soup for 7€ and three drinks for a total of 52€?). Maybe the drinks cost €7 per glass, but we weren't given a receipt and were only told the amount verbally. Absolutely no recommendation.

Price/performance poor. I ordered a pizza for €15.90 and received a frozen pizza. They just topped the TK pizza. I advise everyone to eat pizza there. That's really outrageous.

Pizzeria found on the Internet based on good reviews from a search engine. Unfortunately I can't recommend the pizzeria, why? The waiter lied to my face when I asked if ''they'' were Italian. He answered YES with a smile. I asked where he came from Italy (in Italian). He couldn't give me an answer. Embarrassing an honest answer which I would have preferred rather than a lie. Even if they're not Italian. The pizza is frozen goods and is only refined a little by the “chef”. The dough is definitely not homemade, products are only the cheapest. Nothing special, you look where you can save for an overpriced pizza. Quality doesn't fit for the price. My conclusion: You get a warmed up frozen pizza for a hefty price (overpriced for the quality. That doesn't fit). Once there, never again. Sorry

We were at a concert and were looking for a delicious restaurant. We had pizza and it was really good. If we come to Bad Orb again, we will make a reservation here just to be on the safe side

Nice service, ambience was also nice, but unfortunately you could taste that the Funghi Pizza was a frozen pizza that had been nicely reworked. Just like the spagetti... purely visually you could already see that a €1 spagetti pack could be from Lidl. Tastes exactly the same. In addition, the pasta dish was hardly seasoned. In the end I had spaghetti with salt & oil..

Unfortunately I got a burnt pizza and a blunt knife and salad with sauce drowned in the middle. That's an absolute disgrace considering the price. Every kebab shop around the corner can make better pizza. I'll never come back

We had dinner here yesterday. Because the weather was very nice, we sat outside. The tables and chairs had already seen their good days, as had the menus, some of which were still stuck together. I would actually go there because that was enough for me to get an idea of ​​the rest, but I was hungry and all the other restaurants weren't open yet. Because every dish had fries as a side dish, I ordered one dish with salad and a separate salad. Due to the house dressing (mayo), the salad ended up being just mush. I still got fries with my meal without the advertised salad and the meat was comparable to the sole of a shoe. I have never been so dissatisfied and annoyed because of the absolutely overpriced prices, which are not justified by the performance. That was the first, definitely the last time here.

Very nice little restaurant in the heart of Bad Orb. In principle it would be fine all around, if it weren't for the little things that cloud the whole thing a little. Instead of beer mats, napkins are used, which are put back after use so that they can be used again. It was similar with the paper bags for the cutlery. Separate napkins for meals were not automatically provided. The table was full of oil and salt and pepper. You didn't need it with the salad because it was dressed with the house yogurt dressing. I would have expected some bread to be given in advance. Would have been great. But you can eat well, and the price is absolutely reasonable.

Pizza and bruschetta are fine, it's not what we mean by "typical" Italian cuisine. Pizza is not made with mozzarella, the dough is debatable as to whether it was homemade. Bruschetta was drowned in balsamic dressing, the bread falls apart when eaten, so you have difficulty eating it with the tomatoes. We enjoyed the salad with yogurt dressing. Only the cheese has an unpleasant smell. But everything is absolutely edible. The service is very good and extremely friendly. I can't understand your comments about unfriendly service. If you want a quick snack, this is the place to be. Price performance is okay

Very cozy, quiet restaurant with friendly service in a central location. The price performance ratio is very good. The wine is delicious and the food is of a reasonable quality, which is perfectly acceptable for the prices. We are satisfied and would be happy to recommend the restaurant.

We drank mulled wine here, so beautifully prepared and made by ourselves for only €3. I've never had such a delicious mulled wine before. ☺️😉 There is also pizza etc. there, but I can't report on that, I only drank mulled wine and latte with amaretto.

Ich war mit einer größeren Gruppe dort Essen. Das Personal ist super freundlich, sie haben uns im Blick gehabt und professionell bedient. Geschmacklich fand ich die Pizza super, auch die anderen Gäste waren sehr zufrieden. Kann man wirklich empfehlen.

Muss nicht sein… Ich wollte vor meinem nächsten Termin eine Kleinigkeit essen und entschied mich für diese Pizzeria aufgrund guter Bewertungen einer Suchmaschine im Internet. Im Gastraum hat der Chef sein Büro eingerichtet und führt dort auch lautstark Telefonate. Die Pizza ist TK Ware und wird lediglich durch den „Koch“ etwas verfeinert. Das zeigte sich noch mal deutlich als ich mir eine Pizza meiner Wahl bestellen wollte, aber explizit aufgefordert wurde eine Variante aus der Karte zu wählen. Mein Fazit: Man bekommt eine aufgewärmte TK Pizza im Büro vom Chef zu einem stolzen Preis.

Total schwierig zu beurteilen. Das Essen teuer und keine dem Preis entsprechende Qualität. Schade eigentlich, das Personal und Ambiente eigentlich sehr nett gemacht und alle sehr freundlich. Der Kochstil passt eher in eine Kantine mit Fertig - Nudeln und TK Pizza Tüten Pasta sowie Dosen- Gemüse.

Wir waren gestern bei euch zum essen und was trinken. Es war einfach toll. Nette, lustige und flexible Bedienung. Die Kinder wollten Pfannkuchen mit Eis, was es aber jetzt im Herbst nicht mehr gibt. Ihr wart so flexibel und habt was tolles gezaubert. Nicht nur die Kinder, auch wir waren happy. Wir kommen wieder. 😀

Waren heute dort zum ersten Mal essen. Die Getränke waren sehr schnell da und die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Vom Essen waren wir enttäuscht. Das Risotto war nicht gewürzt und das Hähnchen musste man suchen und die Muscheln waren zäh. Das andere Menü war auch nicht so der Renner das Fleisch war eher trocken als Saftig

Super Leute, Schöne Abende dort verbracht. Hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht.

Haben auf der Terrasse gesessen. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich hat uns schnell Getränke gebracht. Das Essen war toll.wir hatten Kinder mit da wurden die Reste gut eingepackt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Kommen gerne wieder. Für gehbehinderte ist die Toilette im ersten Stock schwierig.
