Great food with super friendly service.

The service was very good. I had gyros in cheese sauce with melted cheese on top. Unfortunately, it was extremely salty. You couldn't taste the cheese or any other flavors. Sadly, just like last time.

I'm visiting this city. And it's not my first time here. I love the cozy, relaxed atmosphere. The food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. The service is friendly. I was even served the traditional drink, Ouzo, as a gift! 💝 🥳👍💝

There's a German salad as a side dish. When I asked, the owner explained that this is what German guests request. My question to the German guests: You go to a Greek restaurant and ask for German salad? What's wrong with you? I really enjoyed it. My special requests were accommodated immediately. I'm only giving it four stars because the portion was too small for me. The gyro could have been a lot bigger. You can see that in the picture. The service was excellent. If I were in the area again, I would definitely come back. Thank you for the wonderful time with you.

A taste of vacation in Bad Orb! Today we visited the Greek restaurant Akropolis Athens in Bad Orb – and it was an all-around fantastic experience! The food was outstanding: fresh, delicious, and authentically prepared. The service was super friendly, attentive, and always with a smile. Pleasant Greek music played in the background, immediately creating a vacation feeling – you could almost forget you were in Germany. To top it all off, we were treated to a glass of ouzo on the house – a lovely gesture you only experience in a truly family-run business. We absolutely don't understand the negative reviews here – our impressions were entirely positive. We'll definitely be back!

Had the takeaway food, which was quite expensive. The salad was nicely packaged separately. Unfortunately, the fries weren't cooked all the way through and could have been crispier. The gyros wasn't as pleasant to eat in parts, the tzatziki was very good, and the souvlaki was very thickly sliced and could have been a bit thinner.

Yes, very friendly staff, and you can sit outside in the shade. Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends and for outdoor seating. The biftiki is well-cooked and filled with plenty of feta cheese. It comes with tzatziki, fries, and salad—just the right portion. The prices are also reasonable. I'd be happy to come back.

Juicy aromatic meat is professionally prepared. Sauces, salads and side dishes are also perfectly prepared. Delicious white sweet wine of good quality. Beer is an excellent choice. We often visit this restaurant and are always very pleased with the service and atmosphere. It is very beautiful and atmospheric inside, even if there are a lot of people, each table is separated from the others, which creates a relaxed atmosphere. After visiting the restaurant, we enjoy walking in the beautiful clean city park and I also think this is a pleasant addition. There are never any problems with parking

Highly recommended! We were there on June 10, 2025. Very friendly service. The food was excellent. The side salad was delicious and there was plenty of dressing. I had the Sparta plate. The tzatziki didn't have a strong garlicky taste. Highly recommended. I would have loved to go back the next day, but unfortunately, it was closed on Wednesdays. The only drawback is the parking.

We had a reservation. The restaurant was packed on a rainy Sunday. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. There's still a sense of interaction with the guest. The menu is varied, with a few vegetarian dishes. We opted for an Apollon plate. The meat was very well prepared, and the salad and fries were also delicious. Ouzo and a coffee were also included, of course. The restrooms were clean. Cash is king here. No card payments accepted. Prices are reasonable for a spa resort. If you like Greek cuisine, this is the place for you.

The fact that card payments aren't accepted is completely outdated. The gyro was reheated and lacked any grilling effect. The bifteki was a ready-made, industrial product with a taste that was a bit off the mark. Considerably overpriced for the quality of the food. Service is okay, decor is average. We won't be coming here again.

Very good food, friendly service

We were at Akropolis for lunch today...We both had the Apollon plate...very delicious, hearty food, perfectly seasoned and fried for us...and then, to top it all off, a typical Greek dessert: Galaktoboureko...we weren't familiar with it, but can only recommend it...great, simply amazing :-) Plus, the service was super friendly, not at all pushy but always present. Prices were okay...as is usual these days...Conclusion: We'd love to come back.

I was there today for the first, but not the last, time. The tables in the restaurant were all occupied. A reservation is worth it. Despite this stress, the service was very friendly. Given the full tables, the food arrived quickly and was very good and the dessert was also very tasty. Compliments to the kitchen! The prices are reasonable. Towards the end, the operator even had the nerve to chat with us, although he certainly had plenty of other things to do.

We've eaten there several times. So far it has always been satisfactory. But on our last visit in March 2025 it was absolutely not OK. The gyro was warmed up. The bifteki was from the day before (minced meat!!!!) and tasted accordingly. In addition, the price development is exorbitant. 20.80 euros for a Bifteki is a joke! ! A bifteki is just a larger meatball. All very disappointing.

musten ziemlich lange warten bis wir bestellen konnten, auch wie die Getränke leer waren. Mein Mann hatte sich noch was extra bestellt. Dies kam erst als er an die Theke kam um nachzufragen . Hatte es vergessen! Mein Spieß konnte ich nicht essen , war sehr zäh.kein entgegen kommen preislich? Früher sind wir immer gerne hin, ob ich nochmal hin gehe fraglich.

Wir waren bereits 17:00 Uhr im Restaurant und erstaunt, wie gut besucht das Lokal bereits war. Der Service sehr freundlich, dass Essen sehr gut, die Portionen reichlich. Ich würde dem Betrieb größere Teller empfehlen. Das reichliche Essen wirkt sehr unübersichtlich und könnte auf einem größeren Teller ansprechender angerichtet werden. Wie beim „Griechen“ nicht ungewöhnlich gabs zum Abschluss einen Ouzo.

Very professionally run restaurant. The menu is more classic Greek, very meat-heavy. What we liked: the restaurant is partially barrier-free, the very attentive service extended the intermediate door especially for our wheelchair. Unfortunately, the toilets on the first floor can only be reached via stairs.

Trotz Reservierung mussten wir am Tisch noch 20 Minuten warten bis wir Getränke und Essen bestellen konnten. Der Salat kam vor den Getränken und war okay. Die Bedienung war gestresst und unfreundlich sie hätten 80 Essen da dauerts halt...das tat es dann auch bis der Hauptgang kam vergingen nochmals 40 Minuten. Pommes waren gut Tsatsiki auch. Das Fleisch war sehr hart und trocken bei allen 4 Gerichten und hatte von griechischer Kochkunst nichts mehr übrig dazu war es aber auch noch nicht günstig

The food was excellent, especially the grilled dishes—flavorful and perfectly prepared. However, the dessert (Galaktoburiko) was disappointing. The top layer of phyllo pastry was extremely hard, almost like reinforced cardboard. I even asked for a knife, but cutting it without completely crushing the dessert was nearly impossible. Another downside is that they only accept cash payments, so make sure to have cash on hand. Apart from these issues, everything else was great. The location is convenient, the service was excellent, and the staff was very attentive and friendly. Overall, a pleasant experience!

Today we spontaneously went to Bad Orb for dinner and were seduced into the Acropolis of Athens. The food is simply delicious, everything is very freshly prepared. The waiting time is very short, so everything is delivered very quickly. The service was very friendly and accommodating so you feel welcome as a guest. To say goodbye there was an Annis schnapps. We would love to come back. Thank you for everything.

Went to Akropolis for dinner as a family with two children and friends. Luckily we had reserved, (7 people) The waitress responded to the children's wishes, (mayo, ketchup) asked if everything was OK, even though there were no seats left. Super organized and very professional. Everyone enjoyed the food, there was nothing left over. Definitely coming back.

We were there with 3 adults and 2 children and had reserved the table for a maximum of 4 people. Another one was no longer available. There were probably regular guests. Everything was very cramped and very loud. That might have been possible, but when our food came the meatballs were gone Not fully baked and my loin skewer was cold, so I had to say something. I got something else, but I wasn't asked what I wanted to eat. I think the gentlemen were totally overwhelmed, but the staff were friendly, but that didn't matter used

The food is very tasty. My favorite dish is grilled plain calamari. A wide selection of sides beyond fries. In general, the menu is very varied. The side salad is the first taste. The service is always friendly, cheerful and accommodating. The outdoor area is also nice, even though it is right on the street. When we are in Bad Orb, we definitely plan a visit to the restaurant.
