Saturday evening, four people, La Mamma. Or: good thing we made a reservation – by 7:30 p.m. the restaurant was packed. The staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and surprisingly quick. You can tell: the place is used to a constant rush. Even at 10 p.m., guests were still strolling in, completely unfazed by the fact that it was already full. The homemade cannelloni and the salad: truly excellent. The two pizzas: delicious, although the crust was a bit too hard for my taste. That can happen; perhaps it was just having a particularly crispy day. Finding a parking spot? Let's just say: it was the small appetizer I hadn't ordered. But if I'm ever in the area again, have a craving for pizza, and happen to spot a parking space, I'll definitely stop by again. Conclusion: A solid Italian restaurant, established in Saarbrücken for over 25 years. The menu is a bit dense and could use some reading glasses, but the bottom line is, as always: go, try it, and form your own opinion. Buon appetito! 🍕🇮🇹

The food was good and filling, and the service was really friendly. However, the wait was far too long. For example, we were served one dessert… and then the rest of the desserts much later. It's a shame, because with better organization, the experience could have been fantastic.

We are regulars there and always receive very friendly service. We often see the same guests, which speaks volumes. The food is of good quality and always tasty, fresh, and attractively presented. The ambiance is refined. The linen tablecloths and white napkins are always spotlessly clean, and the tables are always attractively set with glasses, cutlery, and decorations, making you immediately feel welcome. The restaurant is almost always very busy, and tables are often double-booked. The prices are lower than usual for Italian restaurants. The baguette, which accompanies all dishes, is excellent and always fresh. There's always a small complimentary appetizer from the kitchen, such as small pizza slices and olives, and occasionally very good, freshly made tomato bruschetta. The staff is always very friendly and well-groomed, and the owner knows almost all of his guests personally, always has a kind word for everyone, and is always eager to fulfill their wishes. In addition to the regular menu, there's always a seasonal specials menu, like the one featuring porcini mushrooms in autumn. We feel very comfortable and welcome there. Overall, we're very satisfied. It's a relaxed atmosphere, not overcharged, without any fuss, but with genuine warmth. The owner is a passionate restaurateur.

They pretend to be Italian but they're not, the pizza is really awful.

La Mamma, the name says it all! We promise!!! I've seen it several times while driving by and today I made a reservation with my three women! The menu promises flavor with emotion, even just by reading it. All four of us were more than satisfied! It was delicious, and when a simple dish like minestrone actually tastes like Mamma's, it brings back fond memories. Firstly, the prices don't match the prices on the website. It's twice as expensive. The spaghetti aljo olio we ordered was completely dry, without a drop of oil, probably pre-cooked pasta. It was cold. Raw garlic pieces were thrown on top, and I found half a cherry tomato among the pasta. And tons of chili, unfortunately inedible. The pizza was also cold and very poorly topping. The portions were unbelievably small. Eleven euros for half a portion of pasta and 14 euros for a small 30 cm pizza. Simply outrageous.

The name "La Mamma" raises expectations: warmth, authenticity, a hint of Italy. However, anyone who crosses this threshold quickly learns that names are sometimes just empty words. There's little evidence of Italian cuisine here; rather, a hodgepodge of dishes is served that gratefully defies any geographical classification. The staff, presumably with Mediterranean roots, knows how to exude a certain grandeur – unfortunately, less in the sense of charming elegance than in the form of a remarkable arrogance that manages to turn every guest's request into a silent transgression. Regarding the location, it should be said: Not every view has to be beautiful, but rarely is such a consistent focus on aesthetic pretensions. The unwavering view of a busy street lends the meal a unique, almost Kafkaesque quality – the roar of the vehicles replaces the serenade of the mandolin. In the end, the conclusion remains: anyone looking for Italy will find a caricature at best. “La Mamma” is not a place to linger, but one that you leave quickly

First time in this restaurant La Mama mixed experience menu reduced due to Mother's Day very very long service whether for drinks or the meal, some friendly waiters but also one in the lot who was much less, the meal mixed also the meats served were good but the pasta dishes honestly very bland and the meat in the pasta not very good all this in a very hot atmosphere

What a disappointment... We went to this restaurant on the advice of our friends. We won't go back there. The service is certainly pleasant, but everything needs to be reviewed regarding the cuisine. It's very simple, nothing is fresh and homemade. We had a table of 6 people, so the dishes were varied. We all made the same observation, nothing is prepared at home. The fries are frozen, just like the vegetables. The sauces are industrial... As for the meat, we were refused two different dishes due to shortages. My brother-in-law had to choose a little out of spite... Because the first two dishes he asked for were not available... We would have liked to have been informed beforehand. As for the bill... Be careful, it is steep... The quality/price ratio is absolutely not there. To have fresh, quality products, it is absolutely necessary to review the menu and shorten it.

I am certainly very disappointed by this restaurant, upon returning we were greeted properly we ordered an antipasto platter which I found relatively expensive, subsequently myself and my son-in-law ordered lamb chops, response from the service "it there's none, no way to find any" supposedly like the beef fillet for my other son-in-law so we chose among other things steak with porcini mushrooms response from the service "no more porcini mushrooms" in short we all ordered something that we didn't really want it, the meals arrived and it was really disappointing, vegetables from Igloo, frozen fries, sauces from Maggi or Knorr, in short, nothing homemade and we always had to give the waiter a helping hand to clear the table, at the end of the meal we were asked if we wanted a small liqueur I wanted a grappa and I was refused it because it was not one of the liqueurs offered I had a so-called Williams which had no taste and was tough the intestines, I don't want to say that it was bad but I expect even slightly more refined dishes for my money, it's rare that I leave negative comments but frankly this was a little tough overall If so, I won't set foot in there again. If I can allow myself to give advice to the chef it would be to reduce their menu to pizza and pasta dishes instead of picking up criticism of dishes that they cannot make correctly, according to the opinions read I am not the only one to say that.

Meat with fat and nerves! I was served Neapolitan pasta without warning me, I asked for garlic spaghetti like I had the time before, I was told a supplement even though the time before I had not paid extra, the waiter almost called me a liar by saying that it wasn't possible since he's been working here for 10 years (charged €3) even though the price includes the meat and the side dish! My mom got frozen and greasy fries. Frozen bread too! We didn't even have dessert, we left! It's over, we won't come back!

My girlfriend and I went to this restaurant for a spontaneous meal. Unfortunately we were really disappointed. The food (pizza with Parmigiano, rocket and Parma ham) unfortunately didn't taste good, but what was worse was the pizza dough, which was as hard as bread, far from pizza dough, it didn't taste good at all . I won't come here to eat a second time. The service is very nice but you have to say if you listen closely they argue often and unfortunately that's not professional, but I didn't care.
