A real hidden gem in Cologne's city center! I've been coming here for years and am always thrilled. The food is simply delicious, especially the pizza and the fresh salads, which I highly recommend. The Lambrusco is superb and perfectly complements the meal. The staff is always friendly and makes you feel instantly welcome. A place you'll always want to return to – absolutely recommended!

Small, quaint, but perfectly formed. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The wine recommendation was exactly to our taste, and the stone-baked pizza was absolutely delicious. Just the way I like it: nice and thin with a crispy crust. Definitely worth a visit.

The most delicious pasta I've ever eaten in a restaurant. Enzo, Christian, and the entire team are very friendly and child-friendly, without touching the child, which is extremely respectful. The decor is slightly rustic and very authentic, making it a comfortable place for conversation. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back! 👍🏼

The prices are clearly inflated, there's limited seating, so we had to order takeout. The pizza was decent, the dough was tasty, but the pasta was a total letdown.

I visited this restaurant with a friend recently, & we truly had a lovely & wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly friendly, in addition, the food was spectacular, very traditional & tasteful Italian Cuisine. Additionally, all the dishes were of reasonable price & the atmosphere was extremely comfortable & cozy. Overall, we had a wonderful experience, & I’d definitely recommend. The only disadvantage I’d say is that it’s slightly small, with only 4 tables available, however, since we’d reserved a table in advance, we didn’t face any difficulty in finding a table. However, I absolutely loved the cozy & comfortable atmosphere, along with the delicious food, & extremely warm & engaging staff. Overall, I’d highly recommend.

Luckily, the name of our former favorite restaurant in Leipzig (also Valentino) inspired us to spontaneously stop by during our short break in Cologne. What can I say? We ate here last night and came back for lunch today 😄 Really lovely, cozy atmosphere, very friendly service, and the food was divine! ❤️ The Bolognese immediately made it into my husband's top 3 all-time favorites. And I also loved my tagliatelle with tomatoes and arugula yesterday, and my pizza with spinach, eggplant, and zucchini today, so much so that I'm planning to visit Cologne again just for that reason alone! Simply perfect! ❤️ We definitely recommend you and will be back!

The pizzas are big and filling. It's a cute place. Prices are reasonable, with pizzas between 10 and 15 euros.

I had lunch there with some friends while visiting Cologne. I had a gluten free pizza which was very good but had to pay €5 on top for the gluten free version, that’s a bit expensive I my opinion, but still enjoyed it very much. It’s nice to find gluten free pizza in a good Italian restaurant.

In my opinion, the place is hopelessly overrated. The food is below average. The prices are above average.

Christian from Sicily and his team are doing a really good job. Lots of Italian in a relatively small restaurant with a huge selection and certainly one of the best pizzas we've ever eaten (and that's quite a few). Great value for money. It was just very hot here today and the air conditioning was off. When we're back in Cologne, we'll definitely come back. Thanks to the team.

A true piece of Italy in the heart of Cologne's city center! The pizza is simply fantastic – a thin, crispy crust, wonderfully fresh ingredients, and perfectly baked in a stone oven. Every single pizza tastes like a vacation in Naples! I'd also like to particularly highlight the caffè – the espresso is authentically Italian: strong, aromatic, and served at just the right temperature. You can immediately tell that they have a real passion for Italian cuisine. The staff is warm and attentive, the atmosphere authentic and cozy. Whether for a quick lunch or a relaxed evening with friends, this pizzeria is now my favorite place in Cologne. Loved everything about Il Valentino. The food was excellent and you could taste good quality ingredients. We got the bruschetta as starters, followed by Carbonara and Veal Raghu. Both pastas were cooked to perfection. The service was very attentive and friendly. Since we moved here for some time, we’ll be adding this to our regular places to dine at.

Had a great dinner at this Italian restaurant in Cologne. The food was fresh, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. The pasta was especially good – perfectly cooked and really tasty. The atmosphere was relaxed and cosy, and the staff were warm and attentive without being over the top. It felt like a proper local gem. Would definitely go back next time I’m in the city.

Ordered veal liver (really large portion) with pan-fried vegetables and was pleasantly surprised. Very tenderly fried... it melts in your mouth. I can really recommend this, but unfortunately it's not always available. The seating is manageable in the lower area, but there is even more space on the first floor.
