We like this restaurant very much. The furnishings are nice, the atmosphere is cozy and the food is delicious. The staff is professional and friendly. The only reason we don't go as often as we would like is because of the prices.

The food was delicious - the salad (instead of potatoes and vegetables) was a bit lean. Quite expensive and a grown man wouldn't get enough of it. It would need 2 portions...... service great

Unfortunately it was my last visit and I'm going one store further. Vitello Tonnato can actually be served on a saucer, the portion was so tiny, the taste was also very poor, we literally had to beg for bread, let alone olive oil and anything else with it. The cod fillet had so many bones that it was almost inedible, the liver was sometimes thick and thin, but always stringy, there were no truffles because they weren't in season, erhh?, but there were fresh raspberries - find the mistake, there was no cream either . The waitress just before or just next to it with primitive sayings - not a feel-good evening and no pleasure for the palate. Arrivederci!

Seven of us had dinner there on Christmas Day today. It was great, we would like to give it 6 stars. Great service, thanks to Petro, relaxed, lovely atmosphere and the food was fantastic. Prepared with a lot of Italian love, thank you. We will definitely come back and definitely recommend it.

I was here for the first time today, but definitely not the last time! The atmosphere is modern but cozy, the service is really warm and attentive and the food is very tasty. We had lamb shank and steak from the daily menu as well as dessert. Both really good. I found the dessert a bit expensive, but I found the remaining prices reasonable.

Went there for dinner today after making a short-term reservation. It was the first time. The staff is super nice and friendly. The food, starter Vitello Tonnato and Bruschetta. Both a dream. For the main course, cannelloni ricotta e spinaci, fettuccine al salmone and maccheroni al forno. Everything was so delicious, I could have licked the plate like I did as a child. And for dessert there was panna cotta and an espresso ☕️. We were so excited and will definitely come back. Very highly recommended.

The service is very friendly but the food is really average. We haven't had pizza on our two visits but everything else is rather uninspired and bland. Quite small portions and you pay extra for a few more vegetables. Very unfortunate

Great atmosphere and very good quality. We've been regular guests for years and not without reason. Too bad we have to go to “Brunello” on Sundays (Closed) Unfortunately only 3 stars because of the significantly higher prices (compared to competitors). For example, spaghetti in cheese sauce with a handful of chanterelles costs an impressive €28.50 😪

I wouldn't classify the restaurant as bad, but unfortunately not as good either. When it comes to food, there are much better Italians in Hamburg. Price performance is therefore not justified. There are sometimes very long waiting times for service. In my opinion, regular guests are given priority.

We walked into the restaurant by chance and wanted to grab a bite to eat. As luck would have it, it was our lunch. The service was quick and very friendly to us. The food was very good, will definitely come back. At lunchtime the restaurant is pretty empty and therefore quiet. Let's see if we can come over in the evening.

In Hamburg unterwegs habe ich dieses Restaurant tel. reserviert. Leider ist auf dem Weg mein Akku des E-bikes leergelaufen! Ich fragte den Ober, ob ich den Akku aufladen dürfe, zunächst kein Problem, warum auch? Als ich Getränke und Speisen bestellt hatte, ich hätte sicher 80,-€ in diesem „Laden“ gelassen, kann die Wirtin, oder eine Frau, die sich so aufspielte, mit dem Akku auf mich zu, und sagte mir, dass ich den Akku nicht aufladen dürfe, und drücke mir Akku und Ladegerät in die Hand. Selbst die Anmerkung, ich würde ja hier essen, und könne den Strom gerne bezahlen, wurde mit lauten Rufen nun von einem Herrn an der Theke (der Chef) bedacht:“wir sind ein Restaurant“! Diese leitenden Angestellten dieses Restaurants ließen mich also in meiner Notlage allein. So was ist mir noch nie passiert! Jetzt sitze ich in der nächsten Trattoria, und dort ist das aufladen kein Problem. Normalerweise habe ich Italiener immer gastfreundlich erlebt, aber was in diese Leute im Il Sorriso gefahren ist, das lässt mich fassungslos zurück! NIE WIEDER!

Looked for a restaurant that’s not in town and came upon this place… Service was good but it was also quite empty so can’t say what it’s like at full service. But still … Tasty pizza lovely thin base could have been hotter but still very nice. Friendly staff and very comfy seats. The spinach on the Gorgonzola and spinach pizza made it a little watery unfortunately so wasn’t 5 star … but still better than the one I had at another place where they’d put so much Gorgonzola on that you could taste it just through smell alone and was too strong. This restaurant had just the right amount of this on.

We like to come to Il Sorriso regularly. The team is friendly and very fast. The food is fantastic! Our favorite Italian restaurant in the northeast of Hamburg. With a bit of luck you can park in front of the door. Otherwise in the surrounding streets.

We came unannounced on Saturday evening, but were given a very friendly welcome and then spent a very nice evening at Ristorante il Sorriso! The food, 1x pasta, 1x steak, was excellent and the service from Pedro was very warm and competent, thank you very much for that! We'll come back the next time we visit Hamburg...

Delicious food with a very nice atmosphere. Went for dinner, a reservation is definitely advisable here. Quite loud due to the number of people. Food was very good and sufficient, dessert was homemade and of good quality. If I didn't already have a favorite Italian restaurant, this could become mine. Staff very nice and quick to serve.

The three of us had dinner there yesterday as part of a birthday party and were completely satisfied. More is not possible. We will be back very soon with a larger group.

We love ordering from Il Sorrisso for pickup and do so very regularly. The pizzas are really tasty, the mixed salad is always fresh and crunchy and the Vitello Tonnato is a dream. In addition, the owners and waitresses are extremely friendly, even towards children. We remain regulars!

Four of us were there on Saturday. We had starters, fish, meat and pizza. The food was very tasty and of the best quality. The service was great. The waiter clearly enjoyed his job. A very successful evening.

Here again for the first time in a long time. Unfortunately not (anymore) at the level that we were used to in Poppenbüttel. In particular, we didn't like the quality of the food at all. Hardly any seasoning, lots of convenience, not very visually appealing. A pity! 3 stars nonetheless for the very nice service that tried to get some things out of it.

The Margarita pizza is extremely delicate. Anyone who masters simple culinary things and prepares them cleverly will not let anything burn, even when it comes to more elaborate dishes. I'm already looking forward to delving deeper into the maestro's culinary world next time and delighting my palate. Everything is rounded off by warm hospitality and picco bello service. Keep it up

Essen ok, aber nicht besonders! Wir bestellten etwas Olivenöl vorne weg, kam eine leere Flasche, die neue Flasche war auch leer! Vorspeise Bestellung klappte nicht, mit Debit karte konnte man nicht zahlen .. Ambiente sehr laut, man muss schon schreien, um sich verständlich zu machen!! Wie schön war es früher in Taormina!!

Ein rundum tolles Restaurant. Der Service sehr sympatisch und zuvorkommend. Das Essen ein wahrer Traum. Alles war köstlich und auf den Punkt gegart. Auf unsere Wünsche wurde sofort eingegangen. Und es hat uns so gefreut Donnerstag Abend bei euch gewesen zu sein. Wir waren bei euch in einer absoluten wohlfühl Atmosphäre,haben uns noch am nächsten Tag über das unfassbar gute Essen unterhalten. Und eine absolute Empfehlung an alle ist die Panna Cotta denn wir sind sehr verliebt in das Dessert. Danke liebes Team für diesen tollen Nachmittag.

Man sollte im besten Fall vorher reservieren. Wird sonst schwer mit einem guten Platz. Essen war lecker, wobei ich den Preis von 13€ für eine Tomate Mozarella Vorspeise doch etwas doll finde. Leider kann man dort auch nicht mit einer Debit- oder Kreditkarte zahlen, das Gerät akzeptiert nur die alten, "normalen" EC Karten. Personal war freundlich und auf Zack. Im gesamten netter Laden.

Wir hatten mit einer größeren Gruppe Plätzte für 18.00 Uhr vorbestellt. Getränkewünsche wurden zügig erfragt und die Bestellung schnell geliefert. Dann war aber erst einmal Pause; Essensbestellungen wurden erst gegen 18.45 Uhr entgegengenommen und kurz vor halb Acht geliefert. Soweit ich es mitbekommen habe, gab es keine Kritik an der Qualität der Gerichte, diese waren aber allesamt sehr 'übersichtlich', will sagen, äußerst klein bemessen, was bei den Preisen (Beispiele: Spaghetti mit Meeresfrüchten 25,50 €, bei den servierten Scampi zu 27,00 € hatten sich ganze fünf verlorene Exemplare dieser Spezies in der Tellermitte versammelt) unangemessen ist. Die Kellnerin, die uns bediente, war unfreundlich bis patzig. Teller wurden abgeräumt während noch einige Leute am Tisch aßen - No-go; über andere Angestellte kann ich nichts sagen.

Super Restaurant! Sehr nette, aufmerksame Bedienung! Als Tipp, immer einen Tisch reservieren da oftmals sehr voll. Dann leider auch sehr laut. Das ist aber das einzige negative.

Einfach lieblos angerichtet. Anti pasti schmeckten nach nichts. Dessert. Viel Sahne. Viel Volumen. Das beste ist der Kaffee. Meine lieblingssorte.

Leckeres Angebot am Mittagstisch(Pizza, Pasta) und eine gute Speisekarte mit Tages aktuellen Angeboten Aber leider haben auch hier die Preise sehr stark angezogen, so dass das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht mehr stimmt. Und offenbar wird an der Heizung gespart …das Restaurant war mittags sehr kühl und die Heizung Ende November noch ausgestellt.

Alles Weltklasse, Preisleistung Mega, sehr gehobene Küche mit angenehmen Preisen, sehr freundliches Personal und Inhaber, sehr gemütliches Ambiente, für 2 oder auch größere Gruppen, Essen war sehr sehr lecker, toller Italiener zu normalen Preisen!

Jetzt weiß ich auch wieder, warum ich dieses Restaurant lange gemieden habe. Die Akustik in diesem Lokal ist eine Katastrophe! Wir waren nur zur Viert. Ich musste mich mit meinem Sitznachbarn und meinem Gegenüber anschreien. Wenn ich mit Freunden oder Familie Essen gehe, möchte ich mich in Ruhe unterhalten. So waren wir alle nur gestresst. Und das hat auch nichts mit trubeliger italienischer Atmosphäre zu tun…. Auch wenn das Essen ok war, werde ich nicht mehr wiederkommen. Aber den anderen Gästen scheint es ja nicht zu stören...

Hier kann man einen netten, lockeren Abend mit Freunden verbringen. Das Essen ist sehr gut. Der Service immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Wir sind eher zufällig auf das Restaurant aufmerksam geworden. Wir bekamen noch am gleichen Tag einen Tisch. Unsere Speisen (Funghi Pizza und Steak) waren sehr lecker. Alle Angestellten waren zudem sehr höflich und nett. Große Empfehlung!

Ziemlich durchschnittlicher Italiener, Preise und essen sind gut, dennoch ist man schnell bei 25€ pro Person.

Das Restaurant ist sehr schön, man kann außen und innen sitzen. Auch außen wird man schnell und freundlich bedient. Das Essen ist lecker, die Portionen sind großzügig und man kann auch Platten für zuhause bestellen. Sehr zu empfehlen

Wir sind spontan am Nachmittag hier mit Freunden zum Essen gewesen und waren begeistert. Wir hatten alle verschiedene Pastagerichte bestellt die nicht nur geschmacklich sehr gut waren, sondern auch Portionen zum satt werden. Auch die Desserts waren klasse und schön fürs Auge angerichtet. War heute mit einer Freundin hier zum Mittagessen. Mittagstisch wird bis 17 Uhr angeboten. Haben draußen auf der Terrasse gesessen, leider ist diese direkt an der Hauptstraße und somit ist der Straßenlärm deutlich zuhören, durch eine Hecke ist man aber optisch abgetrennt. Service sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Ich hatte als Vorspeise die Antipasti Platte, dann gab’s Dorade vom Grill und als Nachtisch Tiramisu. Hat alles sehr gut geschmeckt und war schön angerichtet. Zum Abschluss gab’s ein Cappuccino auf‘s Haus.

Dieses Restaurant hat an seinen Öffnungszeiten durchgängige Küche, leider dominieren auf der Karte Pizza und Pasta,die meisten Gäste bestellen diese Gerichte.Die Küche kann aber durchaus mehr, leider ist das diesbezügliche Angebot überschaubar. Auch die Weinkarte ist bemessenen die Tagesempfehlungen sind preiswert und trinkbar.

Es ist jedes Mal ein sehr freundlicher Empfang, egal, welche Speise man wählt, es schmeckt alles sehr gut! Kaninchenkeule und Scheiben von der Lammkeule waren erstklassig! Tiramisu ist ein Traum!!!
