This Italian restaurant was a real discovery. We went there twice during our stay in Munich. I had the same dishes as last time (see photos): Regina & Tiramisu. The prices are very affordable considering the quality of the dishes (visual and flavor)! We paid about €20 each (drink, main course, dessert). The waitress and staff were very friendly. The atmosphere is incredible! I recommend it if you're passing by. Can't wait to come back another summer day!

When it's busy, you'll need some patience, and the location is "just" a sports restaurant. But the quality of the food is fantastic!

Unfortunately, I can't confirm the positive reviews. The wait was long. The artichokes on the pizza were hard. The "grilled rigatoni with vegetables" was a misunderstanding – the vegetables consisted of frozen, hard peas and two mushrooms. Instead of tap water, we were served an expensive Italian liter bottle. The ice cream was quite ordinary. The restaurant had a huge line for takeout pizza, which caused a lot of noise and meant that tables were barely served. People were smoking in the courtyard, and the smoke drifted into the restaurant. Both the interior and the courtyard were served by a single waitress – that's unusual, but she really tried. The restroom is almost impossible to access when someone is standing at the sink. And parking isn't exactly straightforward either.

A true hidden gem. Tasty food, welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, fair prices. We always love coming back. Well done 👍

Great homemade food and superb service. For us, it was a bit too loud for a cozy evening, but everyone experiences it differently. All in all, a definite recommendation. PS: The value for money is more than good.

Overwhelmed and furious boss!!! Very sad. We can no longer visit this restaurant. We've been regulars for years. But the last two visits were more than disappointing due to new, overwhelmed waiters. After waiting for 2.5 hours, everyone was served the wrong food. When we politely complained and wanted to pay, the boss, in classic Italian fashion, completely lost it and yelled at us. Bad behavior that cannot be tolerated after hours of waiting. This man should either downsize his restaurant, hire better staff, or simply hand the job over to someone else.

The service is a bit slow, but very friendly. The pizza is very good. Unfortunately, the artichokes are often hard, and the porcini mushrooms are no longer fresh, but pickled, which used to be better. Still, a good Italian restaurant.

We visited Gigantelli for the first time today, following a recommendation. We've walked past it many times, but because there's a no-dogs sign at the entrance, we never went in with our poodle. The ban on dogs only applies inside, starting at the sports field, but you can easily bring your dog into the pizzeria (just know that). The pizza was truly one of the best ever; it couldn't be better. Thin crust, small crust, and delicious toppings, just the way we like it. The second highlight was the house wine, Chianti Classico. We'd give a lot to find out who the winemaker is; it's simply sensational for a house wine. One small negative: the service was a bit slow, but regulars said that was an exception today, so it can happen sometimes. No problem. All in all: top-notch.

I don't know where all the good reviews come from. There is absolute chaos in this store. The service is totally overwhelmed, orders are forgotten, the boss shouts at the waiters and the food, which you have to wait up to two hours for, is of low quality! Will be avoided in the future!

In the evening the hall is completely packed, there is also an open area. So it's better to book a table in advance. Everything is simply incredibly delicious!

Tolle Küche und Service. Einfache, authentische und ehrliche ital. KÜCHE ohne chi chi. Wirklich ZU EMPFEHLEN. TOMATENSUPPE und Mittagsmenüs sind unschlagbar. Beim Ambiente und Gemütlichkeit ist noch deutlich Luft nach oben. Da ist es im Papa Franco (Filale) wirklich gemütlicher. Wein ist ein bischen zu teuer. Hauswein wird gar nicht angeboten.

Great place, delicious food, big portions. My Fritti Di Mare pasta was gorgeous, my very capricious in food husband ate Tuna pizza, he said it was 10 from 10 (no photo, he ate it too fast). We like being at the Gigantelli. I think it has nothing to do with a typical “sports restaurant”. The ambience is 100% Italian and in summer you can sit great in the spacious outdoor area. The wood-fired pizza is highly recommended and there is always a varied daily menu. Gioacchino, the service person is always nice and super attentive. You should make a reservation on the weekend.

My absolute favorite Italian. The food is always excellent and fresh. We all celebrate birthdays and other things at Luigi's. My star waiter is Franco! He always knows what me and my family want to drink without us having to say anything. He always takes the time to explain the dishes on the daily menu in detail. We always feel a bit “abducted to Italy”. Definitely recommended without exception.

It's going ok. As is often the case with clubhouses, people don't come there for the food. And you can tell that in the quality.

Food good, service very bad. Constantly forgetting my order, after 20 minutes and 3 reminders I finally got the bill. Rarely experienced such chaotic, unmotivated service.

Room extremely loud and echoing, lots of large tables. Bruschetta tonnata: sauce too much mayo and not enough tonno, sweet instead of sour and salty. Even though I'm Italian, I have no idea what good pizza is: sink the ham under the thick layer of cheese instead of putting the topping on top! Duetto di pesce 22 €: 2 scampi, 3 squid tubes, no side dishes (no note)! Tasteless, because it wasn't seasoned enough and the calamari wasn't cooked through, it was tough like rubber. Indian service very nice.

I can't say anything about the ambience because we sat in the garden. Nevertheless, the pizzeria gets 5 stars 🌟 for everything because the staff was very attentive and nice. This literally blew us away! Pizza and octopus salad tasted very good. The highlight was the chili and garlic oils that were served with it.

Super nice Italian restaurant with very fresh food and friendly service.

We were there for dinner today. The ambience is great, the inside is clear, nice and cozy. The waiters were nice and present in just the right way (they kept checking to see if something was needed without being intrusive). You didn't have to wait long for the food and it was very tasty. The bread on the side was fresh and still warm...a dream. There was also chilli oil and garlic oil...also a dream. The price is also completely ok. 2 little things that you might... could adapt 1. We sat at the back, by the pizza maker. It was a bit loud at times while making pizza, so you noticed it while talking. 2. There were no toothpicks on the table. But that really doesn't matter, a full 5 stars for this restaurant.

Zu Stoßzeiten unglaublich chaotisch. Essen vergessen und verwechselt. Leider nicht zum ersten Mal. Essenqualität unverändert gut.

4 Pizzen vor Ort bestellt und dann mitgenommen. Bestellungen waren schnell fertig, allerdings war niemand von uns von der Qualität wirklich begeistert. War okay.

Ein gutes italienisches Restaurant mit freundlichem Service. Mehr als Pizza und Nudeln! Viele Familien, viele Kinder. Erfreulich unprätentiös.

Leider die durch hohe Vorbewertungen entstandene Vorfreude gedämpft: Essen nicht durchgegart, Seafood ohne Eigen- v.a. mit Brühegeschmack, Teller trotz leerem Restaurant nicht abgeräumt und freundliche Kritik am Essen italienisch arrogant rustikal abgeschmettert. Für diesen Gesamteindruck (Essen und Ambiente auf Sportgaststättenniveau) eher Obermenzing-typisch hochpreisig. Braucht man nicht nochmal:(

Super freundlicher Service, große Portionen, top Preis-Leistung Wir waren an einem Samstagmittag mit einer größeren Gruppe und wurden sehr zuvorkommend und schnell bedient. Sehr leckere Pizzen und generell riesige Portionen. Angenehmes und ruhiges Ambiente draußen (es war gerade kein Fußballspiel). Pizzen 8-14€.

Super Italienier. Vom Ambiente eine Sportgaststätte - tut dem ganzen aber keinen Abbruch. Super nette Atmosphäre- Klasse Service und sehr gutes Essen. Vor allem die Pizza 🍕 mein Favorit die Bresaola.

Austernpilzen von Grill und Büffelmozzarella extra ohne Knoblauch bestellt leider Kamm mit viel Knoblauch, dann zurück geschickt ,Kamm schön gewaschen zurück schade ☹️ so was soll nicht passieren .

Gehe da immer mit meiner Frau essen, super essen und Service. Bei diesem Restaurant hat bisher immer alles gepasst.

Klasse Restaurant! Funktioniert gleichzeitig als Vereinsgaststätte für die ansässigen Sportvereine als auch für Besucher von außerhalb. Super freundlich und organisiert, leckeres Essen, faire Preise. Das alles auch bei großen Veranstaltungen mit 100+ Gästen. Ich komme immer wieder gern.

Schönes gemütliches Lokal mit leckeren und frischen Gerichten. Der Biergarten hat ein schönes Ambiente, gehen immer wieder gerne dahin

Das war meine frutti di mare, der Teig war ok, alles andere sieht man auf dem Bild. Wir haben über eine Stunde auf Zwei Pizzen einen Salat und Spaghetti Bolognese gewartet. Das Bier war super Augustiner natürlich 😉
