Ristorante Pizzeria Al Lido, Al Lido Gastro GmbH in Hamburg

Di questo ristorante ho apprezzato la gentilezza dei camerieri. Purtroppo però sul versante cibo sono rimasto deluso su tutto il fronte. La pizza che ho ordinato è stata probabilmente una delle peggiori pizze che abbia mai mangiato. Anche il pane che ci hanno portato al tavolo mi è parso del pane industriale che nulla ha a che vedere con il pane che normalmente viene servito in Italia o con il buonissimo pane Tedesco. Insomma ristorante in una bella posizione di Amburgo che però non dà lustro alcuno alla tradizione della pizza Italiana. Non ho provato altri piatti e quindi non mi pronuncio ovviamente sul resto del menù.

Wir waren an einem Samstagnachmittag zu zweit zu einem verspäteten Mittagessen im al lido. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und bemüht es uns auch draußen mit einer warmen Decke im Rücken gemütlich zu machen. Gegessen haben wir Tagliatelle mit Brokkoli und Hähnchen. Es war sehr lecker und reichhaltig. Die Bedienung war flott und auch „der Gruß aus der Küche“ war extrem lecker. Ich würde bei unserem nächsten Hamburgbesuch gerne wieder hingehen.

The restaurant is on street level and has a large upper floor. The waiter was friendly even though the place was quite busy on Friday evening. The food was very good. Tender beef, crispy pizza, tasteful pasta and fresh salads. House wine for good price and quality. The food for 9 persons was coming all together. Seems the kitchen staff knows their job. We had a private corner at the far end of the upper floor.. When weather is nice you could sit on dock level downstairs and enjoy waterfront views for coffee, drinks or eating. That’s how we got to know Al Lido. A nice Cappuccino directly at the water.

Das Lokal ist ungemütlich und hat den Charme einer Bahnhofshalle. Die Speisen sind durchschnittlich. Wir hatten Pizza und Fisch. Die Pizza war nicht annähernd einer echten italischen Pizza ähnlich. Der Fisch war völlig gewürz - und geschmacklos. Es gibt zahlreiche viel bessere Pizzerien! Preis/Leistung/Qualität stimmen überhaupt nicht.

Really very, very tasty food in a nice, centrally located area. The next time we're in Hamburg, we'll definitely go back. Every bite was a complete delight!!

We had reserved a table for Saturday evening. When we entered the restaurant we went straight upstairs but were sent back downstairs after asking for seats downstairs. Downstairs we had said that we had reserved it for two and brought it back upstairs. The waiter came to the table and said “what to drink”? welcomed. The bruschetta wasn't really nicely prepared and the taste was ok when it was already cold. The pizza looked like everything had just been thrown out. It was also ok. It was very loud and very restless. For us it is clear that it was the first and last visit there

The aperitif was carelessly created, for €9.50 you can expect more than a straw and a tiny piece of grapefruit. The pizza dough was dry, pre-made and tasted bland. The surprise pizza had salami and fish piled up, everything that was there, without any concept! Eating Italian is much better, what a shame!

Service was tried to be friendly. The atmosphere is more cafeteria-like; very loud, impersonal facility, designed for masses. The food is uninspired, unloving,... probably more of a restaurant for tourists who stop by while passing by but then never come back anyway. We don't need this again.

Nice Italian restaurant. But tables are very close together. Pizza with a soft base, not cross. Beforehand, each group is given a plate with olives, garlic cream and bread. If you sit with two or four people, there is still only one plate instead of two. I found that a bit unfortunate. The steak was good but quite expensive. Overall, it was quite loud in the restaurant due to the narrow tables.

March 2024: Pizza looked like a ready-made pizza and tasted like it too. Absolutely nothing special and therefore the price didn't match the quality. We were a larger group. Everyone who had pizza had the same opinion. As far as pasta dishes go, I can't say anything about them. Service was friendly and quick.

Soggy pizza, if you're up for Dr. Oetker Style has come to the right place. Didn't try pasta. Classic tourist trap, but there's nothing decent on the corner.

It's simply unimaginable that a store whose food is so average and whose service is so poor is already full at 5 p.m. We were here on a weekend trip and wanted to grab a quick pizza and wouldn't do that again

Fantastic food! Who would have thought one could find such good Italian food in Germany?! Also very reasonable price for such delicious and filling meals! Two other restaurants on the same strip were several euros more and a more limited menu than there; I can't imagine their food could possibly be better then AL Lido!

Worst place I've ever eaten, catastrophic! The pizza, if you can call it pizza, is more like a tarte flambée, disgusting! I don't even want to talk about the noodles, they were so dry you couldn't eat them. As a real Italian, I found it a disgrace. I don't want to talk about the service at all. Spills the Coke on my pizza and says "nothing happened". I didn't even get an offer to get a new one. Also way too overpriced.

We were 3 people in this restaurant and all of us were impressed: very good food, very nice service and, also very important: clean toilets! We ordered bruschetta and vitello tonnato as starters, then we had beef steak with porcini and vegetables, spaghetti carbonara and raviolacci with ricotta and spinach. Amazing experience, thank you!

The pizzas were good and exactly how I like it. Unfortunately, we had a waiter who was so grumpy and unfriendly that it spoiled the otherwise not bad impression.

Loveless restaurant with no flair, simply furnished with checkered tablecloths. The food was okay but you can get that everywhere. The condition could be a little more attentive. The waiting time between courses was sometimes a bit long. We were there but we won't be back.

We had dinner in the al lido in the evening and were very satisfied. Pasta was very fresh and the pizza was also very tasty. You can tell that the boss also has his heart in it.

Prices and parking fees are correspondingly high for Hafencity. But the quality of the food is top.

Great little restaurant in Hafen City. Very good food, nice service. Prices are very affordable for this location. Subdued decor. On warm days you can sit outside. The paste is served with parmesan cheese, which you can dose yourself - I love it! I recommend visiting here.

Pizza and pasta are terrible, the service really leaves a lot to be desired. There will be no second visit.

The La Lido pizza was inedible, otherwise okay. But luckily the pizzas were very small and the pizza dough was too sweet.

A pretty average pizzeria where you don't have to eat a second time. Our pizzas were dripping in oil and a bit soggy. You will be greeted very friendly, but if you don't tip the amount you want at the end (not everyone can afford a 15% surcharge), you won't even be said goodbye. Very unfortunate. The drinks are also extremely expensive.

Culinary trip to Italy. Very well located in the Speicherstadt with top service. Would definitely reserve.

Phew. Unfortunately that was nothing... We had made a reservation for a birthday, but this reservation was forgotten. Although we did before called and said that there were only five of us left... After we were then sent (very rudely) across the restaurant and back, 3 tables were put together. Our request to get a table on the upper floor was skillfully ignored and rebuffed with the words "you'll have to take a look". Unfortunately, we were only able to order at the shaky table after 25 minutes and only after repeated requests. Annoyed, the order was taken. 4 out of 5 dishes arrived, one of them wrong and had to be changed again. Another dish didn't come at all and had to be remade. Unfortunately, the Pamesan cheese only came after we had finished eating. It's a shame because the food tasted very bland (pasta). The colleague was satisfied with the pizza. There was consistently a very unprofessional and rude way of dealing with mistakes and, above all, with customers. The waiters weren't above mentioning several times how annoying everything was. This was our last visit there.

The staff was very nice and attentive. The food was delicious and exceeded my expectations. I look forward to coming here again!

Frozen pizzas taste better than this one Shop here! Unfortunately nothing to recommend! Anyone who still eats there will definitely have a taste aberration! Everyone has to know where they are leaving their money.

The menu is good and leaves nothing to be desired. If you want other ingredients instead of what is on the menu, it will be taken into account without any problem. Professional, friendly service. The two of us were guests at Al Lido on a Wednesday evening. The atmosphere in the restaurant is modern, at first glance it doesn't look like a classic Italian restaurant but that doesn't matter. Our food (bruschetta, tagliatelle, spaghetti) and drinks (chardonnay and chianti) weren't bad, but nothing special either. Unfortunately, what we didn't like at all was the service, especially one waiter. Unfortunately, this seemed extremely overwhelmed. When we explored after making our reservation, we were just approached as we walked past, told to wait and then somehow come along. When we arrived at the table, it took half an hour before we were allowed to order - after we had made our presence known by gesticulating. When I ordered, the waiter was again in such a hurry that he almost left before he could accept my drink request. I also pointed out the empty olive oil at the table. When he came back with the drinks and the appetizer, he had of course forgotten the olive oil in his haste, so I pointed it out again, to which I was only replied with a curt "Everything will come in time." He then took the oil from another table and placed it in front of us. So I forgot, oh well. The main course was brought to us by another, much friendlier gentleman who “even” looked at us while we talked and wished us “enjoy your meal”. In the end we were allowed to use our hands and feet to draw attention to ourselves so that the former waiter would bring us the bill. He then placed the bill on the table without saying a word, collected the money and disappeared again without saying thank you, saying goodbye or wishing you a nice evening. His colleague at the door said goodbye to us as he should. Overall, a very strange visit with a reworked cellar that unfortunately processes the guests like on an assembly line. The store should really take more time for its customers.

Unfortunately it was super bad and unfriendly service. We were ignored at the table for 25 minutes even though we were right at the bar. Order was wrong twice or not received at all. Drinks came super late. It's not all that bad, there was a lot going on. But then please at least be friendly and say something.

Food was not made from high quality products. Nothing special. Salad was way too big and cut carelessly. Dressing and starter dip for bread not homemade. Kitchen open and you can see the large Metro sauce containers. Service ok. Ambience boring.

Al Lido seems to honour the Italian hospitality and authenticity of the cooking. The dishes are tasty and cooked to tradition. The ingredients fresh and the choice of dishes is plentiful. Service is friendly italian. It seems there are many regulars and the restaurant gets packed in the early evening hours. Before the concert at Elphi Al Lido is at a nice walking distance.

The older waiter was sulky, listless and uninterested. Food totally boring, recipes simple/banal and drastically overpriced. At least the boss (?) thanked him for the criticism and praised improvements.

Everything is unspectacular and interchangeable! Sorry! Many Italian restaurants can do this much better. The food is good - but nothing more. The bruscetta, for example, was actually not seasoned. Ready-made Italian small bread with chopped tomatoes. I helped myself with olive oil, salt and pepper. The tomato soup was very light (tasted like lasagne sauce). A full wine glass that was knocked over by the waiter was only replaced upon our request. The examples above described the whole evening. Sorry! Definitely won't come back.

Hello, I never actually rate, but the food is not worthy of an Italian. The pizza dough is ready-made industrial dough. No taste and the shape of all pizzas are identical. A yeast dough rises and even remains flat on the edges. The dough is extremely soft and drenched in sauce. So probably blanks. The spices are not fresh and the taste is zero. Why the restaurant is full and how the store is doing is incomprehensible.

I ordered a pizza to take away for lunch. I'm not sure if the pizza oven was broken or there were no cooks, but the pizza was by far the worst, most unappetizing and unsightly pizza I've ever eaten. Significantly smaller than in the comparison pictures here, badly burnt, extremely greasy, way too much cheese on it and simply unappetizing - even though it was a normal Caprese. Thanks, but that was running away.

The food and the ambience are great, we spent hours here chatting. The service is super friendly. Thank you for the great time in your restaurant, we would be happy to come back when we are in Hamburg.

Zentrale Lage, relativ freundliches Personal, sehr angemessense Preise, saubere Toiletten. Reservierung ist durch die Website kinderleicht und auch spontan möglich.

Der Service war gut, die Gerichte kamen sehr schnell und der Preis war für die Lage in Ordnung. Die Pizza war leider sehr fettig und nicht wie bei einem Italiener.

Wirklich schönes Restaurant. Das Essen war sehr lecker, der Service sehr aufmerksam. Man hat wirklich viel Platz, auch zwischen den Tischen. Alles wirkt recht modern und vielleicht etwas zu stylisch für einen Italiener.

Waren von 02. bis 06.01.2024 in Hamburg. An 3 von 4 Abenden waren wir im Al Lido beim Essen. Unserer Familie hat es sehr gut im Al Lido gefallen. Mein Extrawunsch Scallopina al Gorgonzola wurde mir erfüllt, obwohl es nicht auf der Karte steht. Den Kindern hat sowohl die Pizza Salami als auch die Pasta Carbonara sehr gut geschmeckt. Meine Frau hatte den Lachs, welcher auch sehr gut war. Auserdem sind sowohl der Chef, der Senior Chef und die Angestellten sehr freundlich.

Gehe dort immer sehr gerne essen. Super freundliches Personal, köstliches Essen, tolles Ambiente & Hundefreundlich.

Ich kann leider nur 5 Sterne hinterlassen. Nachdem unsere Silvester Reservierung in einem anderen Restaurant abgesagt wurde, sind wir zufällig an dem Restaurant vorbei gekommen. Ohne großes zögern würde uns trotz vollen Haus und Gästeliste ein Platz angeboten. Der Service war zuvorkommend und nicht penetrant. Alle sahen sehr motiviert aus und konnten auch italienisch sprechen. Italienisches essen ist bei mir normalerweise eher die dritte Wahl. In diesem Fall hat mich Geschmack und Qualität extrem überrascht, sodass ich nach 16 Jahren endlich mal wieder gut italienisch gegessen habe. Für die Gegend und die Stadt sind die Preise sehr angenehm. Ich komme gerne wieder!

Ein sehr feines Abendessen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Zentral in der Hafen City gelegen, rollstuhlgerecht. Essen war Durchschnitt: Pizza zu lasch, Vorspeise teuer und lieblos angerichtet. Gnocchi gut, aber einfach nur in viel zu viel Butter angerichtet. Tiramisu gut.Schade.

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Abend zu dritt mit gutem Essen u freundlichen Service. Das Restaurant war sehr gut besucht. Dennoch hat es an guten Service nicht gemangelt und auch die Küche hat im angemessen Tempo gearbeitet.

Essen lecker, für die Gegend sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis und kleiner Brotkorb plus Aioli kostenlos vor dem Essen. Der Service dürfte ein bisschen mehr gute Laune an den Tag legen, war aber nicht unfreundlich. Gerne wieder.

Mit einer großen Gruppe, 20 Personen, haben wir einen köstlichen Abend im Al Lido genossen. Freundlich und äußerst aufmerksam bedient. Antipasti, Pasta, Pizza, Fisch waren tadellos. Die Miesmuscheln ein Gedicht.

Gutes Restaurant an exponierter Stelle. Das Essen war super. Nur leider hatten wir den Eindruck bekommen, das wir möglichst schnell den Tisch wieder freimachen sollten. Schade.

Spontaner Besuch nach Elphi-Besuch. Fußläufig sehr gut erreichbar. Schönes gemütliches Ristorante auf 2 Ebenen. Alle 3 Pizzen waren sehr lecker. Nettes Personal. Vergessenes Stirnband wurde problemlos nach Hause geschickt. Beim nächsten Hamburgbesuch kommen wir wieder!

Wir waren spontan zu Mittag essen-das Service war sensationell, extrem freundlich und kompetent-vorallem seeehr kinderfreundlich -essen war köstlich , calamari waren sensationell-wir haben uns rundherum wohlgefühlt!!!

Para expresarlo en una frase tipica española. Ni fu, ni fa. La comida no estaba mala (pedimos pizzas), pero no repetiría si tuviese la oportunidad.

Die Nudeln waren ganz gut dort. Leider kann ich nicht das gleiche über die Pizza sagen... Die Pizza (Salamiepizza) hat leider optisch und geschmacklich sehr an eine Ristorante Tiefkühlpizza erinnern. Auch wenn der Preis recht günstig für das Essen war, kann ich diese Pizzeria nicht empfehlen, falls man Pizza essen möchte.

Das Restaurant ist traumhaft. Es lief bekannte und tolle italienische Musik, die Bedienung war richtig freundlich und hilfsbereit und das Essen kam sehr schnell. Wenn das Ambiente stimmt, schmeckt das Essen gleich viel besser. Und das war auch sehr gut.

Leider konnte uns das Essen nicht überzeugen. Der Service war wirklich gut. Bemüht und sehr freundlich. Auch die Preise sind völlig in Ordnung. Leider hat die Pizza nichts mit einer herkömmlichen Pizza zu tun. Der Boden war nicht knusprig und der Rand quasi nicht vorhanden. Es handelte sich um einen dünnen Teigfladen. Auch geschmacklich konnte die Pizza leider nicht überzeugen. Ggf. sollte man hier eher zu nudel-Gerichten greifen. Eigentlich wären für das Essen 2 Sterne angebracht.

Absolutely not. They brought us bread with sauces without plates so we eat the bread in hands, because when I have asked for the dish, they only gave us one. :( The frozen pizza from the Supermarket is better than the one they serve which is frozen as well. The restaurant is called Pizzeria al Lido but….. the only Italian thing they have is the water (Panna). We are not going back there.
