The restaurant I visited recently really impressed me. The brick walls give the ambience such a cozy touch. It was just lovely to dine in such a rustic and welcoming environment. This really made my dining experience special. Thanks.

We were in Potsdam for a few days and visited this restaurant because of good reviews. The food was tasty, but the portions were tiny. Going home hungry after a starter, intermediate course and main course is saying something. The prices were very high, almost at star level. We like to spend money on good food, but the price-performance ratio here is not right at all. What bothered us even more was that the staff didn't wear masks and the chef himself and the waiters greeted the regulars by shaking hands and kissing them left and right. We find such behavior in these corona times extremely irresponsible. We find it grossly negligent that as a restaurateur you risk the freedom you have regained to operate your restaurant and that you apparently don't care at all about the health of your guests!!!

Das Pino liegt fußläufig zum Stadtzentrum. Ein nettes, kleines + gemütliches Restaurant mit einem sehr guten Service. Die Speisen sind sehr lecker und qualitativ sehr gut. Das gehobenen Preis- Leistungsverhältnis geht voll in Ordnung. Eine Empfehlung für Potsdam, wir kommen beim nächsten Aufenthalt gern wieder.

The cuisine alone would be reason enough to visit, but the Pino team is so family-friendly that it's hard to decide why you're coming back: because of their food or because of the team? In any case, we are looking forward to the next visit!

The classic restaurant for small portions and high prices. If you want to eat fancy, this is the place, but if you want to be full then you really have to dig deep into your pockets. Starters all around €20, main courses all around €30, we also had a wine for around €40. We paid around €260 for 4 people. The food itself: I had the veal - it was very tender and perfectly cooked. There were also a lot of vegetables, which were a bit too raw for me. We had the scallops as a starter, they were very tasty.

We discovered this gourmet restaurant, somewhat hidden in a residential area, by chance because other restaurants we already knew had already closed. The food tasted convincing and was also something to behold. Here we cook skilfully with quality and love. The wine recommendation, the professional and friendly service and the ambience were also very good. We sat on the terrace, listened to the reserved piano music and enjoyed a wonderful Italian evening in the middle of Potsdam - definitely again soon!

Durch eine glückliche Fügung entdeckten wir am ersten Abend unseres beruflichen Aufenthaltes in Potsdam dieses feine, idyllisch gelegene Restaurant. Es war in kulinarischer als auch atmosphärischer Hinsicht exzellent, so dass wir am zweiten Abend erneut einkehrten. Zu unserem Erstaunen war es möglich, unsere Erwartungen zu übertreffen. Morgen reisen wir ab, – der Tisch bei Pino ist für heute Abend schon reserviert…

Spaghetti carbonara. You can recognize the true Italian in this dish. This carbonara was really good. The pasta was al dente. I didn't taste any cream either. Everything was really to my satisfaction.

Das Ambiente ist gemütlich und einladend, der Service ist erstklassig und das Essen ist einfach köstlich. Jedes Gericht, das ich probiert habe, war frisch zubereitet und voller Geschmack. Die Mitarbeiter sind freundlich und aufmerksam, und sie sorgen dafür, dass man sich wie zu Hause fühlt. Wenn Sie nach einem erstklassigen Restaurant suchen, das sowohl qualitativ hochwertige Speisen als auch ein tolles Ambiente bietet, dann ist das Restaurant Pino definitiv die richtige Wahl!

We had a lovely evening in the Ristorante. Service was very friendly, accommodating and not intrusive. The ristorante is small, it wasn't fully booked, so we didn't have the feeling that it was too cramped. The food (starter, main course and dessert) was extremely tasty and ultimately sufficient. The drinks (Rose's sparkling wine and grappa) were very tasty. A great evening that you certainly won't repeat every week, but that you'll enjoy on special occasions.

Just perfect. Everything is consistent and the price-performance ratio is good. We would be happy to come back.

Kleine aber feine Speisekarte. Etwas teurer aber sehr gute Qualität lecker zubereitet. Die Ravioli mit Reh Füllung und Trüffel ein Gedicht. Der Thunfisch perfekt gegrillt und die Wein Empfehlung sehr passend. Der Service sehr nett, freundlich und nah am Gast. Ein perfekter Abend

Es ist immer wieder ein Hochgenuss, den ich in diesem Restaurant erlebe. Etwa drei -vier mal pro Jahr erlebe ich einen fantastischen Abend. Eine wunderbares Menu, tolle Kreationen und Aromen, die hier auf den Tisch gebracht werden, vereint mit einem sehr angenehmen und unaufdringlichem Service! Grandios.

Since our hotel had recommended this restaurant, we didn't bother to check more than the first few reviews; we wish we had. If we had read the whole range of comments and those in other languages, we'd have understood the atmosphere that greeted us....two new faces, foreigners, vegetarians, not exactly welcomed with enthusiasm. In a restaurant which purports to be 'vegetarian friendly', we expected more than two options and a starter of salad. There was no anti-pasta offered, not even an olive or two, while we waited for our food and yet we noticed the 'regulars' being treated very differently. We understand the concept of small, cleverly arranged portions, but couldn't believe that just 5 small pieces of ravioli, stuffed with cheese and pear warranted a charge of 19.90 Euros and literally three spoonsful of spaghetti with a few shavings of truffle could be 27.50 Euros. No complaints about the taste of the food, there's not much one can do wrong with such basic ingredients, but the price and paucity of it coupled with the atmosphere of the place left us feeling we had been taken for complete fools. We have travelled all over the world, obviously Italy included and have rarely had such a disappointing experience. Potsdam has a much more authentic Italian restaurant with a very special atmosphere and reasonable prices; we suggest you find that one.

Amazing dining experience! A Michelin rated restaurant in the middle of Potsdam Germany (outside of Berlin)- We stumbled upon it on our walk back to the hotel and made reservations for the following evening. The service, food, wine and overall warmth and welcome was the best we’ve experienced in US or Europe. Highly recommend!

In der Weinbergstraße in Potsdam gibt es ein italienisches Kleinod zu entdecken. Wir kamen bereits etwas verspätet vorbei und fanden doch noch einen Platz für zwei. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam, die Speisen ausgesucht und köstlich zubereitet. Die Weine sind zu empfehlen. Das Ambiente mit hohen Räumen und Backsteinmauern passt wunderbar - es ist fast wie in Italien. Alleine das Wetter hielt an diesem Abend nicht ganz was es noch morgens versprochen hatte. Aber dafür kann der Patron nun wirklich nichts. Wir kommen gerne wieder zu Ihnen. Vielen Dank für Ihre Gastfreundschaft!

Das Pino ist eine ganz besondere Adresse. Hier bekommt man sehr gehobene italienische Küche in einem sehr angenehmen Ambiente. Die Speisen sind von hervorragender Qualität, schmecken fantastisch und sind optisch beeindruckend angerichtet. Die Größe der Portionen sind etwas kleiner, was uns nicht negativ aufgefallen ist. Solche Gerichte muss man einfach genießen und wir wurden von einer Vor- und Hauptspeise satt. Preislich empfinden wir das Pino als angemessen, man darf nicht vergessen, dass man hier nicht nur das Essen bezahlt. Der exzellente Service und die magischen Hände in der Küche möchten auch leistungsgerecht bezahlt werden. Wir können uns nicht über niedrige Löhne aufregen, im Gegenzug aber den Teller für 15 Euro voll haben wollen. Das Pino ist nichts für jede Woche, dann wäre es auch nichts besonderes mehr, aber wenn wir hier essen gehen, dann passt einfach alles. Vielen Dank an das ganze Team, dass wir sowas in Potsdam genießen können!

Ich habe 2 Wochen überlegt, was ich zu dem Besuch bei Pino schreiben soll. Hier das Ergebnis. Das Essen ist sehr gut und hat uns wirklich geschmeckt. Dafür gebe ich auch gern 5 Sterne. Das Personal war anfangs sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Als aber wohl Stammgäste des Hauses kamen, wurden wir nur wenig beachtet. So fragte man uns erst nach einer ganzen Weile, ob wir Nachtisch möchten und nach der Rechnung musste ich mehrmals fragen. Was das Thema "gehobene Küche angeht", kann ich nur sagen, dass die Preise zu hoch sind. Wie gesagt, es war sehr lecker. Allerdings waren die Sättigungsbeilagen eher Deko und haben nicht gesättigt. Dass man uns gleich empfiehl, einen Zwischengang mit Pasta zu bestellen, fand ich fast dreist, denn vom Preis her hätte ich nicht erwartet, dass man wirklich nicht satt wird. Wir haben also Nachtisch bestellt, der lies dann aber an Qualität zu wünschen übrig. Mein Fazit, am Anfang dachten wir, das wird unser Lieblingsitaliener in Potsdam. Am Ende haben wir beschlossen "nie wieder" . Schade

5 Gänge Menü,alles sehr lecker und empfehlenswert

Wir (4 Personen) waren keine 10 Minuten in dem Restaurant, als wir schon zum dritten (!) Mal gefragt wurden, ob wir denn schon ausgewählt hätten. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt hatten wir noch nicht einmal die Weinkarte erhalten. Die Bedienung wollte oder konnte anschließend nicht verstehen, dass ich weder eine Vorspeise noch einen Salat zu meiner Hauptspeise haben wollte, denn ich musste fast unhöflich werden, bis er dies akzeptierte. Die Speisen wurden dann quer über den Tisch gereicht, da der Restaurantraum sehr eng bestuhlt war. Die Hauptspeisen wurden nicht gemeinsam aufgetragen, sondern kamen mit einiger Verzögerung. Mein Essen (Linguine mit Großgarnelen) war keine Geschmacksexplosion, die Sauce war vielmehr ohne besonderen Geschmack. Vielleicht sollte die Note (!) der Linguine besonders herausgehoben werden. Meine Frau hatte eine Fischspeise (Skrei-Loins), die nicht mehr ausreichend heiß war und ebenfalls von einer Geschmacksexplosion weit entfernt war. Nach dem Dessert konnte die Bedienung nicht mehr auf uns aufmerksam gemacht werden. Vielmehr erhielten wir unaufgefordert die Rechnung auf den Tisch gelegt. Ein €€€€-Restaurant? Again? Never ever.

Sehr guter Italiener, bei dem die wichtigsten Eckpunkte top sind: Essen, Service und Ambiente sind tadellos. Preislich hat dies natürlich seine Folgen: die Rechnung bei drei Gängen mit Weinbegleitung kann sich sehen lassen, was aber angesichts des Gebotenen völlig in Ordnung geht. Schließlich ist diese Location kein klassischer (Deutsch-Italienischer) Pizza-Tempel sondern kulinarischer Verwöhn-Urlaub in Italien. Bravo!

Ein wunderbares Restaurant, erstklassiges Essen, wunderbare Atmosphäre, herzlicher Empfang, bester Service. Wir lieben es, auch , wenn immer noch Gänse-Stopffleber auf der Karte steht.

Das Pino ist ein Restaurant für die ganz besonderen Momente. Vor allem für die besonders schönen! In der tollen Atmosphäre die das Restaurant bietet fühlen wir uns wie zuhause und immer völlig willkommen. Die Vielfalt auf der Karte ist wirklich bemerkenswert. Man schmeckt einfach das jedes Gericht mit Liebe zubereitet wird. Meine Empfehlung ist aber immer im Vorraus zu reservieren, da das Pino oft schon voll ist. Die Bedienung hat bisher mit ihren Empfehlungen ins Schwarze getroffen. Immer wieder gern!

Perfektion! Zum Abschluss des Jahres beschlossen wir das Jahr mit etwas besonderem abzuschließen und dafür hat unser Besuch im Pino eindrucksvoll gesorgt! Von vorn bis hinten wird aufs kleinste Detail und das Wohlgefühl geachtet. Das beginnt schon dabei, dass sich der Service unfassbar aufmerksam gezeigt hat und zu jeder Zeit mehr als freundlich war. Schon nach kurzer Zeit hatten wir das Gefühl sehr willkommen zu sein. Das Ambiente war top, der Gastgeber sehr sympathisch und immer für ein Gespräch offen. Alles in allem die perfekte wohlfühlatmosphäre. Das Essen war mehr als perfekt und wird seinem Preis somit auch gerecht. Es wird liebevoll zubereitet und das wichtigste, das Auge isst mit! Bei dieser Zubereitung wird das Auge auch mehr als nur verwöhnt. Alles in allem hat uns das Pino das gegeben was wir erwartet haben und noch viel mehr. Ein Muss für Liebhaber der kulinarischen Küche!

Wunderbares Fine Dining Restaurant. Mich hat besonders das Thunfischfilet begeistert. Eine entspannte Atmosphäre und der Spitzenklasse Service hat den Abend perfekt abgerundet.

Schon als das Essen serviert wurde, stieg uns der verführerische Geruch in die Nase. Hier schmeckt man, dass nur feinste Zutaten verwendet werden. Die Speisen sind leicht und bekömmlich und haben Weltklasseniveau. Wir sind infiziert und kommen wieder. Pino liegt versteckt in einer Wohngegend, das Publikum ist sehr angenehm. Hier verirren sich wohl kaum Ryan-Air Touristen mit Rucksack. Das Ambiente ist wunderschön und unaufdringlich - genauso wir der goldige Service. Und der sympathische Koch hat sich gefreut, dass es uns so gut geschmeckt hat. Wirklich ein gelungener Abend, der weite Weg aus Berlin lohnt sich auf jeden Fall.

Kleines Restaurant. Italienische Haute-Cuisine. Sehr zuvorkommender Service. Haben Vorspeise, Hauptgang und Dessert gegessen mit 8 Personen. Alles hervorragend und ohne zeitliche Verzögerung. Kinderfreundlich, wenn auch wenig Platz ist. Absolute Empfehlung, die auf der Suche nach Italienischer Sterneküche sind.

Die Speisen und die Weine waren wieder perfekt, die Atmosphäre sehr angenehm. Wenn man schon alles hat und sich etwas Genuss wünscht, dann ist man hier richtig.

Wirklich ein tolles Restaurant! Bewertung zu unserem Besuch am 12.09.2018. Eher zufällig entschieden wir uns für dieses Restaurant zu einem spontanen Abendessen und wurden in allen Belangen angenehm überrascht. Es passte wirklich alles. Aufmerksames und nettes Bedienpersonal, sehr schöne kleine Speisekarte (Kreidetafel), ausgezeichnete Weinauswahl, exzellent zubereitete und angerichtete Speisen. Eventuell muss die Dame vom Service etwas ruhiger/gechillter werden. Sie ist sehr flink (ich will nicht sagen hektisch), was aber keinen Abstrich an ihrer Freundlichkeit oder dem sehr professionellen Auftreten bedeuten soll. Es hat uns insgesamt sehr gut gefallen – wir kommen wieder.

Sollte man einmal in Potsdam genießen.

Wieder mal ein erstklassiger Abend mit fantastischen Gerichten, sehr leckeren Getränken wie Wein und Champagner. Der Service war mal wieder sehr zuvorkommend herzlich und aufmerksam. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne und können das Pino sehr empfehlen.

Ein tolles italienisches Restaurant! Spitzenküche und toll eingespieltes, wirklich nettes und sympathisches Personal! Etwas, aber nicht viel, teurer als der Italiener um die Ecke. Das Essen und die Getränke sind aber auch auf einem anderen Level. Eigentlich sollte man gar nicht sagen, wie klasse der Laden ist. Man möchte ja auch später mal wieder einen Tisch bekommen… Bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Potsdam wird es sicherlich wieder ein Anlaufpunkt sein!

This is down an atmospheric residential street not far from Sans Sanssouci palace. The excellent Italian food is quite a surprise in a simple building. The sauces were amazing, and the combinations imaginative. The staff were extremely helpful, It deserves its Michelin star. Possibly the range of deserts was a little too limited, especially if you don't like figs.

A tasteful Italian restaurant in a quite street just outside the centre of Potsdam. Pastas can be ordered as main courses or as a second starter, in the Italian way.

Recommended by a local and there were no surprises. Delightful location on a residential street near Brandenburg area. Prices were way below the presentation and food preparation. The staff was fully engaged and catered to our every wish. Recommend the Miso Salad.

Situated on a residential road ten minutes walk from Luisenplatz you´ll find this excellent Italian restaurant in which food quality and ambience go hand in hand. The food was presented on a black board in front of our table and we had the necessary time to read, discuss and decide. The Italian wine list offered wine in all price ranges. Staff was professional and friendly. The locals know this restaurant, so we were happy that we had a table reservation for our Wednesday visit.

Two good friends of ours, who live in Potsdam, took us to Pino's after a day of walking around the Sanssouci Park and Palaces. The restaurant is quite near the Park. The staff is super nice and friendly and the food is simply awesome. The specialty of the house appears to be a pasta dish that is made in a large cheese wheel and finished off with grated truffles, your choice of white or black. There is also a nice selection of wines from Southern Italy.

I went to this place on recommendation of a friend. Had duck liver with asparagus as starter. The liver was cooked almost to perfection: soft and succulent. Main course was baby pork, and I liked the softness again. Surprisingly there was no bad smell, even though it was cooked medium rare. The house wine was also excellent quality. The service and atmosphere were also very nice. Two people. One had starter and main. The other had main course only. 1/2liter house wine. One more glass of wine and espresso. 74.50 euros before tip.

We got to Potsdam after a long drive in the rain from Amsterdam. Our hotel's owner recommended Ristorante Pino when we asked about Italian. Pino is on a quiet, residential street with the usual limited parking but we lucked out and found a spot right in front. We were early, 6:30PM and there was only one other couple inside. The restaurant serves from 18:00 to 24:00 Monday thru Saturday. We quickly determined that they only had a German menu and the one waiter who had any English was very limited. We have little German but we made out the handwritten menu on the portable blackboard and ordered. First came a complimentary appetizer of brucetta, high quality olive oil and warm bread slices plus a bowl of green and black olives with toothpicks for stabbing. We ordered a bottle of Italian Chianti at 38 Euros but were pleased with the wine, even if a little expensive for our taste. We split a salad of avacado and crawfish tales (river crabs in German). We loved it spooned on the warm bread slices and wished we had ordered one each and not shared. Our entree was spaghetti noodles with a pesto sauce and seafood on top. The seafood turned out to be grilled shrimp, a few crawfish tails and thinly sliced strips of calamari. The waiter insisted that we pour some of the dark green olive oil over the dish and we then topped it with freshly grated Parmean cheese. It was delicious. About this time a crowd of local regulars was beginning to fill the small restaurant and we got our order in for a creme brulee just in time. The dessert came warm with the caramel crust on top and again, we wished we had not shared. Too good! By this time we were well fed and tired and it took a little too long to get the bill and pay but the two waiters were hopping trying to take care of the, now full, restaurant. Our total bill was 85.50 Euros or about $110.00US. This was not cheap but we were well pleased as we stepped out into a cold drizzle to return to our car. We will return at least one more time before leaving Potsdam.

My husband and I dragged ourselves into Pino after a long, hot day of traipsing around Park Sans Souci. The smart red brick interior with white tablecloths looked inviting, but the weather was just too hot to sit inside, so we asked to be seated on the patio. Our waiter suggested an aperitif of prosecco mit apfel, and I liked mine so much that the two of us proceeded to drink six of them over the next delightful two hours. I can't deny that the drinks probably had some bearing on my memory of the evening, but I *can* safely say that this was the best Italian food that I have eaten in a very long time. Our waiter, a pleasant and helpful young man from Kosovo, suggested the antipasto platter, which comprised different grilled vegetables, sun-dried tomatoes, and a bit of tuna carpaccio. It was quite tasty, and raised our hopes for the rest of the meal. For my main course I ordered tortelloni with truffles and my husband had the rump steak with wine sauce. He enjoyed his steak, but the tortelloni was definitely the star of the evening. The pasta, al dente and filled with what seemed to be parmesan cheese, sat in a bit of light cream sauce dotted with shaved truffles. A dish like this in the States would typically have too much cheese, in too much of a too-heavy sauce, with too many mushrooms. But this dish had perfect amounts of everything -- so perfect that my husband, a.k.a. Mr. Variety, actually regretted not having ordered the same thing as I had. When it came time for dessert, Mr. Variety made the unusual move of declining my request to share one. The waiter, insisting that we needed some chocolate mousse despite our stated preference for an almond cake and a mascarpone/strawberry concoction that I had spied on my way to the ladies' room, brought my husband both the almond cake and a bit of the mousse. As we had now come to expect, everything was fantastic. So was the cappuccino that we had ordered despite our stomachs' growing protestations. By this time we were getting quite full, and had to turn down our waiter's generous offer of some grappa on the house. For the rest of the evening we marveled at our good luck in stumbling onto this restaurant. Yes, it had been suggested on a piece of paper handed to us during check-in at our hotel -- but so had quite a few other restaurants, and we all know how well those suggestions often work out. We've decided that next time we'll skip the sightseeing in Potsdam and just go directly to Pino from Berlin. It was definitely worth the €6 and 40 minutes on the train.
