Piazza Toscana has been a popular meeting place for lovers of Italian cuisine for many years. In addition to the classics, there is also excellent fish and great steaks here. The service is always friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. The restaurant is cozy despite its size. The boss also helps here, just as we know from Italy.

We were there with my parents and had to wait a very long time (40 minutes) before we were even served. Unfortunately, the food came at different times, so we couldn't eat together. But the food tasted good.

My review is mainly based on the service and 2 visits. Twice it was so bad that I've already left a review. Once we waited almost three quarters of an hour for service after we were seated. It can happen sometimes. The second time I reserved a table for 15 people. He was free too. We were seated and the orders were taken. Drinking, and later food, also came. When we ate, however, we only finished 7 portions. After that nothing more happened. After more and more of my guests had almost finished eating, I asked about the rest of the dishes. Another 20 minutes passed until the rest of the food came. No excuse. Nothing. The food is ok. The portions were extremely different. I would rate it 1.5 stars. The ambience too. You are sitting at an intersection. It makes it extremely loud, especially with vehicles approaching, such as the buses that frequently travel there. You have to like it. And if someone deletes my review again and accuses me of defamation, I will take action against it this time.

On October 16th, I went out to eat with 5 people for my birthday once again after making a reservation and mentioning the birthday. The food and its quality and goodness have significantly deteriorated. New chef? After about 1.5 hours, I was more or less forced to pay in the crowded restaurant in order to make room for the guests moving up or waiting. That seems pretty unprofessional to me. It was the last time for me and my guests to enter this restaurant. Price level up, quantity down, quality down, that's not a concept in today's times. I have nothing against the boss using a vehicle from Zuffenhausen. If the work is good, etc., that is certainly justifiable. But should we as customers continue to support the bad concept? For me the answer is clear. I've been waiting for a personal email from my boss for weeks. Well then

Unfortunately, we have recently received unfriendly and arrogant service here several times - at exorbitant prices. Saltimbocca came (warmed up?) after about 10 minutes, lukewarm. A vegan's request as to whether the pizza could be ordered without mozzarella was commented on by the older gentleman (owner?) with 'Pizza without cheese? Cheese should be on pizza!". The Napolitana pizza that my wife then mistakenly ordered was brought by the same gentleman with the words: "Pizza without cheese." When she asked why there was no cheese on it, he rudely said that this pizza is always without cheese When asked if it was possible to get cheese on it later, he responded angrily. My wife ate the pizza as it was delivered without cheese. Unfortunately, it's not possible to tell guests not!

It's all ok Lunch is a good price and the quality is good.

Some of the dishes are prepared in the middle of the guest room... that was very exciting to see... the food was excellent 👌... I had pasta with seafood... it was a Friday evening and the shop was full... we were lucky that we (2 people) got a table unannounced...

For lunch with 5 people. The pizzas were good with thick, airy crusts. The staff is now not overly friendly or even warm, much more professional. To pay I had to stand up and draw attention to myself at the bar.

Great stone oven pizza, nice and very attentive service. All waiters are always friendly and quick. If we had to wait 45 minutes for the food, that was already a long time! In the many years we have been here regularly we have never been disappointed. Quality, service, price and speed match each other perfectly, everything at a high level! Unfortunately there are many other, more disappointing restaurants in the area! Always busy, so make a reservation in the evening! Great, very nice ambience that is constantly being modernized and is very comfortable, especially after the last renovation with couch benches.

A great Italian. It is practically our favorite Italian restaurant with relatively high prices but also something for those on a tight budget (pizza & pasta). In addition to the standard menu, there is always a daily/weekly menu with other delicious dishes in various categories. The pizzas and pasta dishes are all highly recommended. I haven't tried the other main meals yet for price reasons. So can't say anything about it. Unfortunately I have to deduct a point because dishes that somehow have to be baked or gratinated in the oven unfortunately have a not very tasty aftertaste of burnt pizza dough (i.e. probably the same oven). Unfortunately, I've had this happen twice with more expensive dishes. One of them, the lamb ragout in lasagna form/style, unfortunately only had a very sparse amount of meat. Unfortunately the price wasn't justified. These two experiences somewhat prevent me from trying more expensive dishes (>17€). The staff is almost always friendly and authentic. The owner is also there very often, greeting his regulars (not us) and generally some people (sometimes us). A nice gesture.

We finally found an Italian restaurant, run by an Italian. Excellent service. Very authentic Italian eating; pasta with truffle and parmesan, caponata, excellent pizza, carbonara and many other beautiful things that we will taste in the next few days 😄. We advise you to reserve in advance, because we have seen a good movement 😁. I don't understand these ridiculous comments from some previous reviews. I haven't had such a good pizza in a long time. The Bufala pizza was subtly topped, had a wonderful crust and tasted very good. The tomato sauce was nice and fruity and spicy. Gladly again.

The pasta al arrabiata only tasted like tomato sauce... there was white cheese on top of the pasta? What I don't know about this dish either. I personally found it inappropriate. When paying, the waiter simply rounded up the total so that we could pay separately more easily. Nicely meant, but unprofessional. You can't just change the amount if the customers haven't received more. There was no tip for the action, in the end we paid more anyway, so that's fine. The waiter wasn't happy about it. Wouldn't come again.

First of all, the positive: The food was good. Everything else was borderline to outrageous. We had reserved a table for two outside under a canopy. The weather was bad, showers and windy. When we arrived, despite having a reservation, we were offered a table inside and one at the edge. The TV was on inside, it was loud and a bit stuffy. That's why we wanted to sit outside. You simply got wet at the alternative place offered. To make a long story short: In a somewhat unconventional way, we were assigned another spot on the edge, the rain had now stopped, so we - our mistake - made do with it. At the end of the meal, the rain and wind increased so much that we ate quickly (especially since everything possible was flying into our food) and fled under the roof. Nobody looked after us, but we were at least able to discover what we had suspected all along: there would have been places for us to sit outside at any time without getting wet. So we were at least “allowed” to sit down at a table with our remaining sip of wine. The subsequent handing over of the bill without the usual "nightcap" - we came here more often, but not anymore - could only be interpreted as being thrown out. When we got home, we took a look at the bill - we were charged twice for "weather" at 0 euros each (sic!! see attached bill). This was probably intended as a final mockery of the guest and cost one star in the rating - we wanted to give three stars because of the food itself. Conclusion: If you want to eat well without demanding service and ambience, you can go here. Otherwise there are better Italians.

An Italian gourmet stamp. Excellent pizza 🍕 and pasta. Fantastic staff. I would give 6 🌟 for the service. We watched Germany against Denmark in public viewing in the Piazza. Remember that the Italians had previously lost to Switzerland😀😃. There was nothing noticeable about the friendly, certainly sad, Italians. They were very friendly, accommodating and really in a good mood. Not a given for a football fan, regardless of country, when their team has just lost and been eliminated. Grazie per la bella serata. Buongiorno, It's not easy for me to give just one star but unfortunately that has to happen here now! I am Italian myself and have worked in the catering industry for 30 years. I was really ashamed in front of my friend. As soon as you enter and ask if there is space, you are looked at as if a UFO had just landed and we aliens had left! Service (especially the older group) very indifferent, annoyed, bored! No communication, no smile, no sympathy! The food was bland. Atmosphere zero. The culmination; Even though the restaurant wasn't full, we waited three quarters of an hour for our bill (during which time we spoke to three waiters)! Meanwhile, the boss is walking around and doesn't notice anything that's happening or ignores it! It's a shame because I was really looking forward to this restaurant but that was my first last visit! Davvero a gran peccato!!!

Went spontaneously as a couple based on the reviews. Due to the live broadcast of the European Championship football game and the great weather, we were immediately offered two very nice tables on the terrace. The staff was always very friendly and accommodating. The food was super tasty. Definitely a big recommendation. We would love to come back when we are in the area again.

We were there around 5 p.m. for an early evening meal and even without a reservation there were still a few tables that were unoccupied (which speaks for the restaurant). The waiters are friendly and accommodating and the food was also very tasty. Good price and you can pay by card :D I wouldn't use the restaurant's own parking lot with large cars as it is quite narrow :D
