Good food but somewhat expensive, well decorated place.

I highly recommend this restaurant! My visit was simply fantastic. The waiters were extremely friendly and accommodating, especially the waiter Marco, who served us excellently. The food was a clear 10 out of 10 - and tasted extremely delicious. The ambience is another highlight: it is beautifully designed and immediately creates a feel-good atmosphere. Nothing was missing, it was a wonderful evening.

The bread you are given is dry, chewy and has hardly any taste. Unfortunately, the sauce for the salmon had a sour taste. The ambience is good and cozy. Unfortunately, the service ignored the position on the plate (twenty past four) for about 30 minutes and the table was not cleared. The service is nice, apart from the comment at the beginning (have you chosen something to eat, I have to move on), something like that doesn't work. The pizzas looked good, I would rather focus the competence on the pizzas. The pasta needs improvement.

When I was still working at Alexanderplatz, I regularly ate at Piazza Rossa during my lunch break. Always very friendly service, excellent food without a long waiting time, very good price/performance ratio. Later we organized two private celebrations (farewell to retirement and a special birthday) in a separate room and were also very satisfied. We can fully recommend this ristorante, as well as its sister company nearby at Alexa. Quality and service have been consistently good and at a high level over the years.

Piazza Rossa is our favorite Italian restaurant in Berlin!!!For us as locals it is also very nice to experience a restaurant visit in the middle of the city!!!In addition to the beautiful location, a great, well-kept, cozy restaurant, very tasty food, but above all extraordinary service , right from the start with the warm welcome, you feel very comfortable as a guest throughout your entire stay!!! Let me start by saying that for me it is one of the best restaurants in Berlin... it is a fixed stop when I go to the German capital, but this time the chef screwed up badly!!! I was in Berlin for the marathon on September 29th, I went 3 times for lunch and dinner, the last time I ordered a carbonara But I received overcooked spaghetti drowned in cream!!!! After this experience I never went there again!!!!!

Wait for 20 minutes and they didn’t even ask what I wanted.

Keep your distance from this place. Rude and dangerous waiter! We were six people, the waiter served us as if we were trash, and even harassed one of the women in the group!!

Completely unacceptable and disappointing experience. I went with a friend to this restaurant, which was completely empty. We asked for a table for two and, surprisingly, the waiter informed us that the place was "completely booked", despite there being no reservation sign on any table. Intrigued and suspicious, we decided to sit at the restaurant next door, Cacum, from where we observed several people arriving and being promptly served, without any mention that the place was reserved. After about 40 minutes, we approached the waiter again, questioning why he had said there were no tables for us. Disrespectfully and insensitively, he simply responded that he was "stressed" at the time we arrived, but that he could find a table if we still wanted. We asked directly: "Is the problem because we are two black women?" His response was shocking: he said it wasn't racist, since there were three black employees in the kitchen. This type of justification only reinforces the lack of respect and understanding of the situation. The only difference we could identify between us and other customers who were well served? We are two black women. I can think of no other explanation for this dismissive and discriminatory treatment other than racism. This was one of the most revolting and humiliating episodes I have ever experienced in an establishment. The service was despicable and the way we were treated is unacceptable anywhere, especially in a restaurant that should ensure respect for its customers. I don't recommend it to anyone and I hope they take the necessary steps to prevent this from happening to other people.

Essen war in Ordnung. Service wirklich mangelhaft. Keine Info, dass Parmesan(!) extra in Rechnung gestellt wird. Unfreundliches, unflexibles Personal, was einen auf italienisch beleidigt, weil der andere Kellner den Stuhl falsch positionierte und er dachte, ich sei das gewesen. Wahrlich nicht zu empfehlen

We have never been to a restaurant with such bad service as this one. The waiter was rude from start to finish. Rude, he waved his wet hands at women, refused to take their orders, and even sexually harassed one of the women in the group. A horror show. Finally, after we refused to tip him, he even looked up a term to insult us on Google Translate. We will never go back there. The food was good, but the service from the waiter really ruined the moment.

Very bad rude service. When we entered the restaurant we were immediately told that we would only get one meal and one drink. That was ok for us as we just wanted to eat something quick. The waiter took our order disinterestedly. He looked around so I wasn't sure if he was even listening. Food came quickly, but the salmon was very carelessly prepared. The waiters were very loud and were very hyper. I understand that you're tired after such a hectic day at work, but you don't have to act like that in front of your guests. I used to work in service myself, something like that doesn't work. My girlfriend's plate was cleared away even though I still ate my rocket rocket...as soon as we had finished the waiter wanted to collect. I found this rush very unnecessary, especially since there were many other guests in the restaurant who were not so rushed by their waiters. It was very disappointing for us, especially since the food and ambience were quite good. However, service is disastrous and disrespectful. Too bad...

Essen war ok. Bedingung sehr schlecht, Kellner macht Probleme weil er mein Trinkgeldbetrag nicht akzeptieren will(beleidigung) . Beleidigen mich beim verlassen des Restaurants auf italienisch und denken ich hätte nichts gehört. Schade bloß dass ich italienisch verstehe. Aufgrunddessen sofort danach 5 Euro Trinkgeld bei comebuy hinterlassen :)

Spontaneous visit with a positive surprise as part of the Festival of Lights. Good attentive service and very good food. Not a tourist bar, but a very good Italian restaurant.

I was there the day before the Berlin Marathon: carbohydrates and stuff... Unfortunately, I was brought a different pizza than the one I ordered. As compensation, the price of the drink was waived. The waitress apologized for the mistake and I could have insisted on my actual selection (with a waiting period). Despite all this, the pizza was very tasty and particularly well seasoned. If you want a safe seat without waiting, you should reserve a week in advance. Otherwise great restaurant with very, very large and delicious pizzas and friendly staff! Gladly again!

The staff were incredibly rude. At one point, one of our party asked for a receipt, and the waiter grabbed his sweater, and shoved the receipt down his top. The worst service I’ve ever experienced. Wouldn’t recommend.

🚨RUN FROM THIS PLACE🚨 Very bad service, I was there with a friend on a Tuesday and we requested a place for 2 people. The store was completely empty but the employee told us that everything was fully booked. Shortly later we saw that a lot of people just went in and were able to sit down. He rejected us, others can just sit downstairs, maybe it was because we were two black women?

The waiter was rude from the beginning and when we asked for the bill his lack of respect was bordering on humiliation. If you don't want an unpleasant experience in Berlin, don't go.

A piece of Italian flair and Italian food that couldn't be better

Very nice Italian restaurant, very delicious Margherita pizza, and very good service.

It's just RIDICULOUS, this is the first time I've seen something like that, just because I wanted to order a pizza and eat it inside the restaurant because it's cold outside, but I didn't order anything to drink. I was thrown out because otherwise the waiter would PROBABLY get in trouble if I ate it Order to take away, there were free tables, the man was smartly dressed too. I don't understand how such a situation can come about, just pure disappointment!!!

We wanted to order one pizza, waiter told us that it isn't bussines for them, and if we want one pizza we can go to Kebap or McDonald where it's for 2€. He was rude to us and I think it's because we aren't german nor adult.

The waiter said that we had to order two or three pizzas, because he said „ordering one isn’t bussines for them”. I bet that if we were older and german he wouldn’t be that rude.

I don't often leave negative reviews, but I believe visitors should be aware of my experience at Pizza Rossa. As a marathon runner, I needed a good carb load before the Berlin Marathon, and this place was filled with others like me the night before the race. Unfortunately, after traveling halfway across the world, I can honestly say this was the worst pasta I’ve ever had. The noodles were undercooked, and the sauce was bland. The service was equally disappointing. The wait staff seemed overwhelmed, and we barely received any attention from the moment we walked in. I understand it was a busy night, but the lack of service was noticeable. Bread, which is usually served at the beginning of the meal in most Italian restaurants, only arrived at the end, which felt strange. Lastly, I was informed that tap water wasn’t available, which was fine, but having to take my medication with soft drink was less than ideal. I’m usually someone who leaves positive reviews, but this experience fell well below expectations, especially given the pre-marathon crowd. It might not be their usual standard, but it’s something to keep in mind if you’re planning to visit.

Italian restaurant with delicious pasta and pizza, perfect if you the marathon one day later. The service was very kind and they recommend only one plate due to big size of the plates. The space of the table are enough to enjoy the conversation. Very good location in a squarte in Anderplatz. We will repeat.

Local with lots of seating inside and outside (covered outside). Card payment possible. Even without a reservation, we got a place again yesterday, on a Saturday. A little quieter towards the back of the town hall than at the front. Friendly, attentive service, even though the restaurant was very busy. The drinks came quickly and our food was served after 30 minutes. The pasta was beautifully presented on the plate, fresh ingredients and the dishes tasted great. Bruschetta and Aperol Spritz are also always delicious. It feels like the noodle portions have become smaller. Many greetings from Hamburg and see you next time.

It was a nice end to the day there

A very bad evening, insulting waiters who are against the French ("the French you are dirty", nice...) The pasta wasn't even good. To flee!

Worst service I've seen in my life. I sat at my table and asked for the menu. The response was "if you don't have time, there's too much wait".

Not a nice place. Our waiter was all but rude and very sarcastic. Not pleasant. Food was expensive for what we got. They even charged us €3.10 euros for parmesan cheese for the spaghetti. Overall our worst meal in Berlin.

Kids are not welcome here!There is no menu for kids so we ordered spaghetti pomodoro. As it came without cheese, we asked for some, the waiter said nothing and then left the cheese at the table without saying anything. The surprise was in the bill that they charged 3.50 euros for the cheese we ordered for a kid! I asked for the manager and the waiter sent another colleague to talk with me saying the manager was not there and they cannot do anything about this. For adults, the size of the portions are ok-ish but if you are really hungry, they are small. Stay away from this place!

We went twice for dinner, the waiters were very kind and friendly, some of them speak Spanish and others speak Spanish. They served us quickly and everything was very good. The plates are quite large. They are not pet-friendly, but they have a fairly large and comfortable terrace.

C'est bon, et surtout les serveurs sont aux petits soins et super apréables. Et compétents. Le prix est conforme à la qualité et au cadre. Vraiment un spot sympa en soirée. Je le recommande vivement!!!

The waiter is very rude. Unfortunately I do not know his name. When he tried to order food, we politely raised our hands, the waiter just said sit and the waiter also said "if you don't have time, come back tomorrow. " My family and I were shocked by his behavior and left the restaurant. I did not have a chance to taste the food ,so I will just rate it 3 stars.

We were a larger birthday group, the food tasted good, the service wasn't very good. You had to take care of everything yourself, order cards, cutlery and if you wanted to reorder or order new drinks, you waited and looked for the waiters in vain.

We had dinner here yesterday and although it is a tourist hotspot, the food and the service were really great... especially Raul the waiter was more than nice and accommodating... there were things that I had never experienced before, everything was purely positive... The pizza is also big and, above all, thin as you would expect.

Some lovely traditional Italian pizzas. The service however...we were ignored for the whole evening and had to intervene if we wanted to be served. One of the waiters acknowledged this the first time when he apologised for us being ignored and given no menus. But it continued all meal. Probably don't go here if you value good, attentive, quick service.

Everything is perfect as you would imagine. It is very romantically designed and the atmosphere is very pleasant. The food is made quickly and also very tasty. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. If I lived there I would be a regular, that's for sure. I will come back because it was just wow .^^

Pizza and (vegetarian) lasagna were good! We also got a lot of free bread. I only said three words and the waiter instantly clocked me as Polish. Very impressive!

Our waiter was a bit confused and handling two tables at the same time causing him to place the wrong drinks at our table, just to pick them up a few minutes later and putting them down at the right table. Not a big problem, just a bit weird. But it can happen to the best of us. Would still recommend overall.

Lovely eating place with great service

The food is more typically touristy than really Italian and a bit expensive. We asked for parmesan 3 times and it was only brought to us when we had almost finished eating... otherwise it's nice to sit outside

I had a good experience of dinner in this restaurant. Dinner on the terrace after long busy day was quite nice. The food was tasty (Tonnato vitello is actually hard to spoil), Spaghetti aglio e olio was spicy as I like, vine was good. And the waiters were friendly.

We ordered a carbonara and it was a joke - if I wanted to eat scrambled eggs I’d just make them at home. Pizza was okay, nothing amazing but also not bad. Selection of wine is also ok. The waiter was mean, he literally threw us the bill and we had to wait a loooong time to order. Don’t recommend, there’s a lot of better places to eat.

We were very happy with everything. What should be highlighted is the very courteous service and the warm treatment. We are happy to recommend the restaurant and we will be happy to visit you again on our next trip to Berlin.

I visited two years ago, when I went the gnocchi was delightful very creamy sauce and beautiful cheese, and the pizza was delectable, a real pleasure for the senses. Would recommend if you’re in the area. Better and more authentic than vapiano across the road.

Bad food, bad service, prices too high for food this quality.

I can only recommend eating at Piazza Rossa. Very friendly and attentive staff that will forgive you if you are slightly confused because of the heat. The food was absolutely delicious! Satisfied and full, we continued exploring Berlin after a final café. We'd love to come back.

A great place to enjoy Italian food. The coffee was very good

We visited today.Food was ok nothing special but the service, I didn‘t feel comfortable, waiters kept looking at us and laughing. Gossiping in italian. They would stay by our table laugh and make faces and then gossip. It felt like we were a social experiment, after that I didn‘t tip after that u can see that they were upset.

The pizza was pretty good! But you have to cut it yourself so it can get messy. I didn't love the vegetarian lasagna, it was very plain. And there is no complimentary bread with your meal.

Were served immediately. However, the wrong drink came twice. Appetizer arrived after about 10 minutes. However, the main course took 45 minutes (spaghetti and a salad). Other guests who came after us had already finished eating before we even got our food. But it wasn't full either. But the food itself wasn't anything special.

Claudio is the best waiter! Only went there because of him. He should get a raise. Food also great. Everything was very clean and a pleasant atmosphere!

I visited this place with a bunch of friends during our Berlin tour. As a tourist and a very introverted and anxious person my friends had to force me to go into a restaurant but it didn't dissapoint. The server was sweet, kind and didn't make us feel stupid, despite us being very awkward I ordered raviolli with spinach and ricotta and it was one of the most delicious pasta's I have eaten in an Italian restaurant. My friends ordered pizza's and they said it's fine, could be better. But I can only speak for what I ate. Basically 5/5, would recommend. <3

A really recommended Italian restaurant. You can eat well and enjoy good wine right on Alexanderplatz. The service is extremely friendly and accommodating and the food tastes very good at reasonable prices. Before that I was on the other side of the Alex in an unspecified location. It was loud there, the service - well - and totally overpriced. Luckily we found Piazza Rossa. If Alexanderplatz, then definitely eat here again! This may be my favorite Italian.

We ate here twice. Always the same experience. Good but not wow, basic taste. A bit of cuisine without risk or innovation, I think. A bit outdated inside and outside (seats worn). Price-quality was ultimately good here. Not a huge menu so I suspect most of it is fresh. Fast operation. Here also more Italian than German among the waiters.

A DISASTER. Starting with the lack of respect we received from the waiter and the man behind the bar. Aside from that, the pizza we ordered ranged from average to bad. He gave us a bad time and I was already feeling bad so I went to eat at the place to at least ask for the wifi to look for a pharmacy and they denied me access. That have never happened to me.
