Beautiful beer garden, great attentive service and very delicious food.

We've been there many times and the food was always great, but since the restaurant changed ownership, it no longer tastes like authentic Italian cuisine. We were there again today and the pizzas were too doughy, but above all, you shouldn't order any desserts there because they taste like convenience food. It used to be a really good restaurant. What a shame!

We sat outside in the beer garden, which is really nice. Unfortunately, the waiters were incredibly unfriendly and unmotivated. They came to take our orders looking rather annoyed. Not once was there a "thank you" or "please," or any friendly response at all. I had a pizza, which was really tasty. In my opinion, though, it could have used a bit more color (i.e., be darker). Then I had a tiramisu, which was truly awful. The glass wasn't even properly filled, it barely tasted of coffee, instead of mascarpone there was whipped cream, and then artificial chocolate sauce. It was really bad (and it cost €7.50). I seriously considered sending it back. I mentioned it, and then they actually tried to tell me it was mascarpone. Seriously, as if I'd never eaten a proper tiramisu before. They reacted very rudely to that. They should at least be honest; they're not stupid! Tables weren't cleared either; all the glasses and bottles were left there until the very end. They never even came to ask if everything was okay or if we needed anything. In the end, we were simply charged as a group, even though we hadn't asked for it. It felt like we were being kicked out. Very strange. I won't be coming back!

I can only comment on the service. I wanted to have dinner there, but it wasn't very busy at the time. Unfortunately, the waiters ignored me – instead, they were on their phones or talking amongst themselves. After about 15 minutes of being ignored, I left. As I was leaving, I was also given a demonstrably unfriendly look. Overall, the service struck me as very unprofessional and lacking in customer focus.

The food was good. I don't want to write anything more here. I think you guys were having a bad day.

There were four of us in the beer garden, hoping for a relaxed dinner. When we asked for the wine list, we were immediately addressed informally: "We don't have one, but I can bring you a glass." 🤔 Regarding the food: The appetizers were all very good and plentiful. The pizzas were delicious and also generously topped. Unfortunately, the lasagna came without béchamel sauce, even though it was listed on the menu. The service seemed a bit overwhelmed by the number of guests. That's our opinion.

Very nice beer garden with good food. The pizza was good and the dough very fluffy. Perfectly located for cyclists passing through. Behind the beer garden is a large gravel parking lot with space for several cars. Unfortunately, the drinks were a bit lax during our visit – beer and juice spritzers. But that could just have been a problem that day.

We enjoyed a nice dinner in the beer garden on very hot summer evening with friendly service. The Crostini with tuna Costello tonatu, the Zander on a lemon sauce and the Baby squids were amazing.

The Pizza Suprema was an absolute delight. Buffalo mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, Parma ham, and fresh basil – truly outstanding in flavor and topped with high-quality ingredients. Kudos to the kitchen for that. However, the garlic I ordered on the side was less than ideal. It was served in a small bottle from which practically no garlic came out. Instead, only the garlic oil came out, while the actual garlic remained inaccessible inside the bottle. It makes you wonder why you even ordered garlic in the first place. 😄 A small lidded pot would be much more practical and customer-friendly. The knives were also rather unsuitable for pizza. Cutting was difficult because the knives barely penetrated the crust. With such a good pizza, you shouldn't have to struggle to cut through it. In conclusion: The Pizza Suprema is absolutely delicious and was a real highlight for me. With better pizza knives and a more practical solution for the garlic, the overall experience would be nearly perfect.

Not so good after the change. They were looking for the meat in the lasagna. Lots of dough, lots of sauce and cheese.

Reserving a table is easy. The ambiance is lovely, with cloth tablecloths and napkins. The food—not just pizza—was excellent. Service was quick and friendly. In summer, the beer garden under the chestnut trees is a dream. Pizza can also be ordered and picked up. Child-friendly (high chairs available). A great destination for short bike rides in the western woods. Highly recommended! Update: We were there for lunch with about 20 people. Again, the service was perfect, the ambiance was as always, the asparagus appetizers were delicious, and the main courses arrived at the same time for everyone, which was perfect for the occasion and shows that the team is very good. We visited years ago, and back then it was fantastic. High-quality food and great taste. Unfortunately, we weren't aware of the change in ownership. We had bruschetta as a starter and pizza and salmon pasta as main courses. It was a complete disappointment. The dough was bland, the cheese awful. Simply tasteless. The waiter was disinterested (but not rude). Another waiter smelled incredibly strongly of sweat (human, of course), but that should be a definite no-go in a restaurant.

The absolute worst vitello tonnato I've ever eaten. It should have been called vitello majolica, as it contained absolutely no tuna. After I complained, they simply said there weren't enough anchovies. No apology, nothing... Just go somewhere else.

The food was okay, but the pizza was far too pale for my taste! This definitely won't be my favorite Italian restaurant! The appetizer platter is overpriced at €21 in my opinion, as the highlight was the seafood salad and two slices of vitello tonnart; everything else was unremarkable (unfortunately). The ambiance isn't cozy at all; everything is much too brightly lit, and you sit incredibly close to the next customer! The service is okay because there are a lot of staff, but it could be a bit friendlier! I'll come back in the summer to the beer garden because it looks really lovely! I hope by then they'll leave the pizza in the oven a little longer so it looks like the one in another reviewer's photo! That wasn't the case for us!

This used to be our regular Italian restaurant. Since the change, we've picked up food twice. The first time, there was only a slight difference. The second time, the food was cold and didn't taste like it used to. But today you really outdid yourselves. The dishes I picked up today were cold, the ingredients were of the lowest quality, and the taste was disastrous. How can you mess up a dish so badly? And don't even get me started on the pizzas. The cheese was awful, the dough completely tasteless. Please bring back your old chefs and suppliers. You've lost us, unfortunately, for now. If the quality and price dropped, it would be understandable, but charging fine dining and delivering discount store quality? I'm out, sorry.

Four of us went out to dinner. The pizzas were large, but the dough was rather bland, and the toppings were excellent! My girlfriend had pasta, but the portion was rather small. The bruschetta wasn't good. The tomatoes had no flavor, even though there are currently some very good tomatoes available to buy or harvest. No good olive oil, only dried basil, and fresh basil was used only for decoration. The crème brûlée was gritty and, unfortunately, only tasted okay. A real shame; I had expected much more.

Taj – what can I say! The food is actually excellent, the dishes taste top-notch. But unfortunately, the new owners have absolutely no idea about customer service and how to deal with guests. After waiting for over an hour, even though we had already paid (we had only ordered for pickup), the manager summarily threw us out. He said they didn't have any pizza and couldn't handle the orders – end of discussion. Our money was refunded. The behavior was simply shocking and unbelievable. The manager reacted very impulsively and unprofessionally. "What a shame!" It used to be our favorite pizzeria! My tip: Be careful with this restaurant!

We were there on June 29, 2025. Once, and never again! We waited over 20 minutes for our drinks. Instead of Prosecco, we were brought an Aperol. When we politely pointed out that it wasn't Prosecco, it was taken away and brought back two minutes later with the words "it's Prosecco." We were speechless. Then we waited an hour and 20 minutes for our food. No one pointed out when we ordered that it was taking longer today, or that someone would at least come and bring us bread or something. The few waiters avoided all eye contact, hopelessly overwhelmed. When we then demanded that one of us had to get a move on and asked when the food would arrive, we were scolded, saying that we could see what was going on, and that there were over 200 people here, and the kitchen couldn't do it any faster... unbelievable. If I don't have staff, then I can't "accommodate" 200 people either. Pure greed. The food was abysmally terrible, once and never again, and I hope the owner pays back for this unfriendly and ignorant attitude and the poor quality.

The pizza was delicious, the salad was fresh and made with good ingredients... and then... the salad dressing was mushy and tasted like it came from a big box of discount supermarket food! Why? I didn't know about the change of ownership. I'm not a fan of Italian pizza, but I stumbled upon this place by chance while cycling a few years ago. I immediately fell in love with the atmosphere of the restaurant and, surprisingly, with the Italian pizza itself. It was the O'sole Mio that made me want to eat it. I was surprised by the excellent combination of a thin crust and plenty of ingredients at a relatively reasonable price. Today I went to the restaurant, and unfortunately, the pizza I got wasn't like usual. Sure, the taste and pizza structure were fine, but for the whole pizza, I had four tomatoes, five slices of Parma ham, and very little basil (Buffalo Ball Pizza). It used to be difficult to cut the pizza without spilling the ingredients all over the plate. Now it's difficult to ensure each slice is as packed with ingredients as it used to be. I hope this is due to the large number of guests and fewer prepared ingredients for the weekend. Too bad, I probably won't be back.

I arrived hungry – I left with life experience. Who would have thought that the seafood here not only comes from the ocean, but also from the home cellar? The woodlouse – freshly cooked on tomato sauce – was the culinary highlight my stomach never wanted. After complaining, I did get a new pizza, but by then my appetite had waned. The staff reacted to my discovery as warmly as a cement mixer – service with the charm of a tax audit. Ideal for anyone who's always wondered what Jungle Camp tastes like on pizza. For everyone else: Maybe you'd prefer a restaurant that doesn't scrape the ingredients list off the wall.

Seven of us sat outside in the beautiful beer garden and were very satisfied with all the dishes; everyone enjoyed them. The service was perhaps a little understaffed, but they gave it their all. If you want a quick bite, you have to go to McDonald's. We'll definitely be back.

We happened upon this Friday afternoon and saw the lovely beer garden under chestnut trees. Since there was plenty of free parking, we decided to stop in. We weren't disappointed. We had bruschetta for starters, which also came from the wood-fired oven. Then I ordered the veal liver Venetian style, and my husband ordered the pizza calzone, which wasn't burnt on the bottom like in some other restaurants. My liver was very tender, the sauce was good, and the grilled vegetables tasted delicious. Finally, we shared a nut ice cream sundae, which was truly delicious. The staff is friendly, and the chef is very attentive and accommodating. The value for money is excellent, and the ambiance is fantastic. I give the place a 10 out of 10. Thank you :)))

Three weeks ago, after years, I visited O Sole Mio again. I enjoyed the pizza so much that yesterday (May 31, 2025) I spontaneously went there with my girlfriend, to whom I had already raved about the pizza beforehand. When we arrived, we got a comfortable spot on the terrace. The beer garden was full, and it was all you can eat for 35 EUR with drinks. We arrived shortly before 7 p.m. and then looked at the almost empty table in the beer garden where the food was supposed to be. Confused, we asked a server if they were restocking the food, as we actually wanted to take part in the all you can eat option. We were then told that only desserts were being served and that we were too late (7 p.m.!!). Bad luck, we thought, we'll just order à la carte as usual. We sat back down at our seats and were surprised that no one came to serve us. After I finally managed to flag someone down to order pizza, we were told we couldn't order because they only had takeaway pizza today. I think my mouth fell open in disbelief. I still can't believe we were refused service. I embarrassed myself to the core in front of my girlfriend with this visit, since I had raved about it, and she said she'd never experienced anything like it. Neither had I, by the way. The end of the story: We left without eating!! and went to Dragone Junior, where we were served very well and courteously! If the team at O ​​Sole Mio reads this review, let me tell you: NOT LIKE THAT!!! That's not how you treat your guests, it's unacceptable. AND: Since there are three other pizzerias fairly close by, you shouldn't be so arrogant and scare your guests away. You won't be seeing us again. And if other people had the same experience yesterday as we did, I hope they'll avoid the place in the future just as we did. In any case, congratulations: SUCCESSFULLY RAN AWAY TWO GUESTS. EVEN ONE STAR IS ACTUALLY TOO MANY FOR THIS PERFORMANCE.

We were looking forward to the newly redesigned beer garden and arrived extra early, around 11:30 a.m. Unfortunately, we encountered completely unmotivated and disorganized staff who showed little interest in us. After taking our drink orders, we waited 15 minutes for our drinks. Even our "We're thirsty" comments were ignored. The team was busy arranging tables and decorating the kiosk. It felt like a construction site. The asparagus was good, but my pizza tasted different compared to previous visits. Apparently, the pizza oven wasn't quite up to temperature yet. A dedicated parking area was created for us cyclists in the courtyard, but unfortunately, it was far too small. There was also a large SUV parked there, with goods being unloaded. We find this all very unfortunate and wish the team more professionalism and customer focus.

The restaurant has declined considerably since the change of ownership. Sluggish, inattentive service, not particularly clean, but okay food!

Unsere Bestellung wurde leider vergessen. Wir sassen bestimmt 45 Minuten und haben die Bedienung dann darauf aufmerksam gemacht. Service auch sonst ein Problem (Getraenke wurde nicht gecheckt und brauchten ewig). Essen (gegrillte calamari) leider zu salzig fuer mich. Die Atmophere is schoen, aber Service und Qualitaet sind es leider nicht wert.

Nach dem Pächterwechsel im März 2025 hat die Qualität total abgebaut. Meine Pizza war innerhalb von 10min fertig und noch lauwarm. Ich denke dies war eine Fertigpizza die nur kurz im Pizzaofen aufgewärmt wurde. Meine Frau hatte Gnocchi. Die Tomatensauce schmeckte wie die Ravioli aus der Dose von Bassermann und als Topping gab es ungewürzten Mozzarella in Scheiben. Werde den Biergarten leider in Zukunft meiden müssen. Schade!

Lässt Leider seid der „Übernahme“ von Qualität zu wünschen übrig.Es total schade, war unser Lieblingsrestaurant! Haben regelmäßig größeren Betrag liegen lassen. Seid neuer Besitzer waren wir 2. mal. Kommen nicht wieder. Sehr schade ! Die richtige geilen Gerichte gibt’s gar nicht mehr , wie kalbskarree und osobucco. (wohl zu viel Arbeit)Vorspeisenplatte lässt stark zu wünschen übrig. Minderwertige Qualität wieder vor Portionen fallen kleiner aus und wohlschmeckende Cocktailsauce und Dressing wurden doch billiger ersetzt. Traurig ! Der nur Pizza ist denke da kann man nicht so viel falsch machen.

Worst meal in a very long time—I can hardly remember the last time I was so disappointed. The carbonara was basically a milky, completely unseasoned sauce with no resemblance to the original. The pizza was a pale imitation of what you'd expect—any frozen pizza would have tasted better. The only positive thing was the apple spritzer. Unfortunately, I absolutely cannot recommend it.

My pizza was a bit soggy in the middle; it needed a minute longer in the oven. The staff was quick and friendly, and the beer garden was great! Prices? Well, eating out isn't cheap these days.

5 stars – An all-round perfect Mother’s Day at O’Sole Mio! We were at O'Sole Mio today with 11 people for Mother's Day and we were absolutely thrilled! From fish to steak to pasta and pizza – every dish was excellently prepared, fresh and an absolute highlight in terms of taste. The quality of the food was at the highest level. We would also like to particularly emphasize the service: The staff was extremely friendly, attentive and helpful - despite the many guests. We all felt completely comfortable and enjoyed the day to the fullest. Many thanks to the entire O’Sole Mio team for this wonderful day – we will definitely be back!

“Italian-style appetizer” – rarely laughed so hard. What I got was a sad joke: a pile of dry arugula, a few parmesan crumbs, and a raw pepper, complete with seeds and stem. If that's Italian cuisine, then good night. Since the change of ownership, this restaurant has only been a shadow of its former self. The new operators obviously have no idea about gastronomy - let alone Italian. More like “Cooking class canceled on the first day” than “Bella Italia”. Anyone who still eats here either has no sense of taste – or has a lot of patience for disappointment. Hands off.

Best Italian in and around Augsburg

We ate at O ​​Sole Mio in Radegundis – and what can I say: it was simply fantastic! From the first moment we felt welcome. The service was warm, attentive and incredibly friendly - you can immediately tell that people work here with passion. The food? A poem! Fresh, authentic and prepared with love. The pasta in particular was on point – al dente and with a sauce that really tastes like Italy. The pizza was also wonderfully crispy and generously topped – exactly how you wanted it. The atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy without being overcrowded - you almost feel like you are in a small restaurant somewhere in southern Italy. O Sole Mio is definitely a place to return to. If you're looking for good Italian food and a family atmosphere, this is the place for you.

We haven't been to O Sole mio for a few years; back then, both the quality of the food and the service had declined significantly. But since the Ristorante now has a new tenant, we wanted to give it another chance. Unfortunately the opportunity was missed and hardly anything has changed. Our waiter was so bored and sometimes unfriendly that it has nothing to do with Italian hospitality. Furthermore, the food was more on the run-of-the-mill level, tortellini, lasagna and spaghetti carbonara (made with cream and called "Italian" 🙄) were mediocre. Only the grilled veal liver tasted good. After this experience, we say: missed opportunity with the tenant, it will be our last visit to O sole mio for a long time.

Wie immer eine Top Pizza und auch andere Essen besser geht es nicht anbieten ist nicht so stark, es gibt nur wenige Platz rund um die Tische. Hoffe nach Fertigstellung des Anbau auf mehr Platz.

We've eaten here several times and it's always tasted great. Only last time I noticed that the pizza I always ate tasted completely different. The dough was different, the topping was completely different and the taste was like I was in the wrong restaurant. (Pizza Mare). I then looked at the imprint on the website and noticed that the owner had changed. Unfortunately, there are no Italians at work here anymore. Too bad. We won't be coming back.
