Service was perfect, very delicious!

It's worth paying attention to the daily specials on the blackboard. Besides the classic beef carpaccio, I was particularly impressed by the homemade gnocchi with goat cheese filling and truffle sauce, topped with an extra sprinkle of truffles. Absolutely delicious. The rustic restaurant is well-maintained and the service is friendly. A good choice for a date, business lunch, or celebration.

We had two pizzas which were incredibly delicious.

Apart from the service, everything else was adequate to poor, so not recommended. 👎

This is my third time here. I came at Christmas last year, then on a regular day, and today for New Year's. The waiters and the owner are always very friendly, the place is cozy, and the food is very good!

Disappointing. A restaurant offering pizza for around €15 needs to ensure the quality is up to par. It's unacceptable to be offered pre-made frozen pizza at that price, and it tastes exactly like it. We ordered one Margherita and one Salami with Pepperoni. Both pizzas were identical, with a base reminiscent of Dr. Oetker's pizza mix, and the obvious origin (shrink-wrapped frozen pizza bases) was immediately apparent at the edges. The salsa was bland, the cheese was barely noticeable, and the salami was the cheapest mass-produced kind, which developed an unpleasant acidity when heated. Truly shameful for an Italian restaurant; I certainly wouldn't go back.

We've eaten at Massimiliano several times now, most recently for our Christmas party – and it's been absolutely delicious every single time. The prices are perfectly reasonable for a restaurant in the city center, especially considering that you'd expect higher prices there. The value for money is definitely excellent. The service has always been attentive and friendly during our visits, without being intrusive. You feel welcome, are served promptly, and never feel forgotten. They also accommodate special requests without any fuss. Another plus is that you usually don't have to wait long for a table or your food – which makes a big difference, especially if you're out in the evening. The atmosphere is relaxed, it's easy to have a conversation, and you're happy to linger a while. All in all, every evening at Massimiliano has been a complete success. For anyone looking for a good meal in the city center, this is definitely a top recommendation.

This place is amazing! We ordered minestrone soup and spaghetti with bolognese sauce. Portions are very generous so I’m glad I split the entree with my hubby. They were kind to split it for us. I normally hate minestrone but my husband loves it. This minestrone was excellent that I loved it. The spaghetti is the best we’ve tasted even compared to the places in Rome & Naples. Unfortunately, we cannot return because we are with a tour group staying in Ulm. But highly recommend! We went back and told our tour manager and others in our group and they wished they had come with us because they didn’t like their meals. Service was great. Since we had to return to our tour bus at a set time, we told our server and he made sure we had our food and bill as quickly as possible. We appreciated that too because he was very busy.

Terrible service. The waiter had no manners, especially the man with glasses. He had no manners and was not respectful at all. I was shocked by his arrogant behavior. Basic customer service and behavior towards customers is completely lacking here, which is appalling and very disappointing. I will not recommend anyone to visit this restaurant, as there's no point in wasting your money in a place that will ruin your mood.

Since it is almost summer we could eat outside which is always nice. The waiter was not friendly but he did his job. We ordered a Gorgonzola spinach pizza and a vegetarian pizza, they tasted good, not yummy but good; what was a disappointment for us was how few vegetables they had. I would say mine had less than 100 g of spinach and the other one had 5 slices of zucchini and four pieces of paprika, that was it. So € 40 for two non alcoholic beverages and 2 pizzas is too much (including tip). It was ok but we will not go back, there are better options in Augsburg.

Pasta made from a Parmesan loaf is advertised on the Instagram page. When making the reservation, we asked several times about it and whether it would also be available the next day. On the day of the reservation, they only mentioned in a vague mumble that this was actually planned, but that it was now too much. I specifically pointed out my call, but it was dismissed by a waiter who didn't look me in the eye. Very disappointing, they didn't even apologize. Food and ambience mediocre, unfortunately not worth the overpriced price due to the high fluctuation of tourists and the central location.

The price-performance ratio is mediocre. The quality of the food is okay, but in my opinion it doesn't justify the pricing. The service was excellent and the location is outstanding.

Not recommended. Ordered pizza and lasagna. The lasagna sauce was bubbling when the food arrived, but it was still cold inside. So it was just warmed up and doesn't work for me at all. Besides, it didn't taste good at all. The base of the pizza was very rubbery, not crispy at all. When the waiter asked if everything was okay, we replied that it wasn't that good. But it didn't bother him and he just went on without asking.

We had a salami and a tuna pizza. The drinks were consumed very quickly and the food came within 10-15 minutes. We were there in the evening during the week. Both pizzas tasted really fantastic, great dough and fresh toppings! The ambience didn't really appeal to us personally. We don't think sponge technology is quite up to date anymore :)

The food could be better. Had tomato with buffalo mozzarella and pesto.

The place is getting old and the atmosphere is no longer up to date. It wouldn't be so bad, but the following points are absolutely unacceptable: during the meal, empties and deposits are driven through the restaurant in a shopping cart 🛒, when asked which Lugana it was, the answer was DOC. We also got the smallest pizza we've ever eaten here and the pasta was tasteless. Too bad.

The restaurant in Augsburg is quite underwhelming. The food is average at best, lacking flavor and creativity. The service is poor, with rude staff who seem uninterested and don't speak English, making communication difficult. The atmosphere is outdated, and the interior feels old and uninviting. Overall, if you're looking for a pleasant Italian dining experience, this place is likely not the best option.

Completely underrated restaurant. We had dinner here this evening. From the incredibly good, freshly made pumpkin soup to the fresh sea bream from the grill and the super friendly service, an all-round fantastic restaurant that deserves at least 5 stars!! Absolute insider tip!!!!

The pizza is small but tasty. The prices for the food are okay, but the prices for the drinks are very high. The service is good. Payment by card is possible. An invoice will be issued without being asked. 👍

Despite the rain, you could sit outside in a covered passage - that's a positive thing. None of the food (we had a total of 4 different dishes) even remotely suited our taste.

We were there for an early dinner, very nice waiter, very attentive even though he did all the service alone. The food was excellent and the price/performance ratio was very good. We were completely satisfied and when we are back in Augsburg we will definitely go to Ristorante Massimiliano again.

Laut telefonischer Aussagen von zwei unterschiedlichen Mitarbeitern von Massimiliano werden für Lieferando für Hauslieferung immer die gleiche Größe Pizza wie auch im Restaurant ( also angeblich 28 cm Durchmesser ! ) verwendet!?!? Tatsächlich sind es aber nur 26 cm, die kleinsten Verpackungen die es gibt!!!!!!!!! Dann wurde man noch für blöde gehalten und hat keine Regelung oder Gutmachung finden wollen!? Pizza kam nach fast der doppelten vorgegebenen Zeit wie angegeben, aber fast kalt! Dann meinte der zweite Hauptzuständige der etwas besser Deutsch konnte, dass die Pizza nicht immer exakt gleich groß rauskommt bei der Herstellung, was aber wie gesagt für das Essen im Restaurant selbst gelten würde, und wir sprechen ja nicht von wenigen Millimetern, was ja verständlich und menschlich wäre, was aber gar nicht das Problem darstellte. Also exakt gleich, sowie im Restaurant auch als Lieferung, obwohl sie im Restaurant selbst hergestellt wird, ist für mich Betrug am Kunden. SELBST ZUHAUSE DIE PIZZA GEMESSEN UND ES SIND 26 CM DURCHMESSER !!!!!!! Von Geiz kann hier schon nicht mehr die Rede sein. Nun, fur zwei Pizzas und eine ebenfalls armseelige Portion Hirtensalat 47,00 € mit Zusatzkosten, aber ohne Trinkgeld!!!!!! Nie wieder!!!!!!!! Nicht zu empfehlen!!!!!!!! Die Sprache der Kosovaren halt...

Very tasty food with poor and unfriendly service.

We had dinner in the evening. The location in the middle of Maxstraße is perfect. The food and service are just great. Always my pleasure. Only recommended

Good location, but that's about it. Were there later on Saturday evening, some tables were free and we were able to sit down straight away. Drinks came lukewarm, so we ordered more ice cubes. The waiter was visibly annoyed, turned away from us and said as he left that ice cream was out. Just two minutes later, the table next door received drinks with ice, whereupon we asked for some specific ice cubes and suddenly received them. The service overall was not friendly. The tagliatelle with salmon was ok, the one with mushrooms was a disaster. Actually it was a plate of soggy sauce with a few noodles, the noodles were cooked far too soft, the mushrooms tasted like they had been in the microwave for too long, overall it just tasted like ready-made food. We weren't given any spoons either, just a knife and fork with the pasta.

The menu looked appealing so we chose to have dinner here. Since there are some bees outside these last few days, we opted to eat inside but we regretted our choice a little bit since it’s a bit dark and it smelled like pipes. The food was good, though. We ordered the salmon with the shrimps on Prosecco sauce, and the grilled shrimps. We think the dishes are a little overpriced, though, even if they are good. The tiramisu was also very good. We were happy with the service until the waiter frowned at us for using a card as payment and reminded us that the tip was not included. Well, we knew that and we usually give (generous) tips, but the fact of being reminded to leave one was just rude and unpleasant. I just had an urge to leave no tip at all (also, do we tip bus or train riders, supermarket and other stores’ clerks, lawyers, doctors, etc? no, so in my option a tip is to be left when extraordinary service is offered and at the client’s discretion). Still, I left a tip but less than half of what I was planning initially to leave. Next time, don’t say that kind of things to your clients, especially if they just ordered 2 of your most expensive dishes, a bottle of wine, a bottle of water and dessert… Apart from this hiccup, we still recommend this restaurant as the menu is good and we enjoyed our food.

We wouldn't eat here again. Service was rather unfriendly and hectic. The waiter was already annoyed when we needed something else, like a spoon or wanted to order dessert afterwards. The time to pay has dragged on. The food was okay, but nothing outstanding or something I look forward to when dining out, I expect a little more here. When ordering the food I asked if it was vegetarian, he answered "Yes, but with beef broth", there's more to say about that... I then ordered something else.

We went there for pizza this afternoon. Ordered pizza frutta di mare twice. It came quickly, looked like a frozen pizza, after the first bite it was clear that it was one!! €16 per pizza, pretty outrageous. Anyone who likes this pizza has never had a good one. I'll never eat there again. A few years ago this was a good restaurant.

A Margherita that was below average for 11.40??? 75cl of WATER for €7.50???? What a rip-off! It was a mistake to holiday there and we will never do it again

Nach etlichen Tagen "gutbürgerlich", "Brauhausküche", etc. (was alles sehr lecker war, aber irgendwann reicht es auch) sind wir hier gelandet. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend bei ausgezeichnetem Essen zu vernünftigen Preisen (und gutem Wein) und würden hier immer wieder gerne hinkommen.

Eat: Pizza has the taste of a frozen pizza, the salami tasted chemical. Pasta with porcini mushrooms was overcooked and therefore limply soft, and the porcini mushrooms were tasteless. Grade 5

The “Pizza Salami” I ordered tasted like a margarita frozen pizza with non-Italian Aldi salami on top. Even I know better frozen pizzas than this. Very disappointing, never again

Nice restaurant on Maximilianstraße, with very friendly staff. There is plenty of seating outside and inside. There are no parking spaces on site; you can park for a fee on Maximilianstrasse or in one of the surrounding parking garages. The food is very tasty and inexpensive. Extra requests are accommodated without any problems. You can spend lovely and cozy hours at Massimiliano.

Out of 4 evenings in Augsburg, we were convinced that we went to this excellent restaurant twice. At first we were a little skeptical because we feared the location would be a tourist scam. The opposite was the case: very nice employees and very tasty food rounded off the day successfully. If we visit Augsburg again, we will definitely come back.

Hello everyone, We came here for dinner last Saturday, April 27th, 2024. We thought we'd try something different since we've never been here before. We were given a free seat outside (far left at the back). The older gentleman who does the service then gave us a menu and took our drink order. Our drinks came quickly and we said we needed a bit more time to decide what we wanted to eat. He always went to the front of the table and never came back to see if we were ready. After 50 minutes of waiting because he was doing something else the whole time, I called loudly for him to come to us (by the way, other employees were clearing the tables there, we talked to them and they told us we could only order from him) . So he came and we could finally order, after 30 minutes the food came. Pizza was nothing special, like frozen pizza from Rewe and Pasta al Lemone with ham is literally just pasta, lemon slices and 1 piece of Parma ham (see photo). Very disappointing, we have really never experienced such service and eaten such tasteless food. We were so hungry that we actually tried to eat the food but it was so bad that we had to say something so we called the service person. We normally told him our feedback, that they could improve it and so on. Suddenly he gets loud and doesn't want to accept our criticism, he says that he understands about the food (because it's not his fault), but that it took so long is supposedly not true, he didn't even let us finish , that the main thing is that it was not so. We think you can't treat people like that, you can talk normally everywhere and, above all, with respect! We have never experienced such disrespectful and unreliable service in our lives. By the way, he also removed the pasta from the bill, at least that :)

The Massimiliano is located in a beautiful setting on Maximilianstrasse. We ate pizza in the outdoor area here in the afternoon. The waiting time from ordering was long. The pizzas were very tasty, but could have been served warm.
