Anyone who eats here has been asleep for the last 40 years. Bad food, terrible service. The owner usually shops at Aldi in Heiligkreuz. That's exactly how it tastes.

Horrible! There's no other way to describe it. The staff, including the totally arrogant manager, simply didn't care about us, and they made it clear. The highlight was the manager at the next table making loud, derogatory remarks about us. They don't value tourists who want something to eat after a hike. We complained to the waitress about this behavior, and she simply laughed it off. Since my companion vomited after the meal, we wonder if they were intentionally serving spoiled food? The ambiance is straight out of the 1980s. We can't even begin to understand the good reviews!

A traditional restaurant. A beautiful location, inviting you to take a stroll through the countryside in the city. A family atmosphere with many regulars who have grown old with the owners. Very friendly and attentive service. Pizzas wouldn't be my first choice, based on my personal taste, but otherwise, the dishes are of good quality, including fresh fish (sole, sea bream). We'll definitely visit the restaurant again.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it. I was there with my 86-year-old mother, who uses a walker. I asked where we could sit. "At a small table" was the announcement. We were then irritated and shooed away: We'd been told three times where to sit, and the table was reserved. Then we were seated at a table in the second row, not overlooking the pond. The tables in the front row were apparently reserved for regulars, but they never showed up. It was a somewhat unfriendly atmosphere, at least for casual visitors. Perhaps you have to be a regular to feel treated like one. I found it an unpleasant experience. I wouldn't go back. The proud announcement that they've only accepted cash payments for 30 years completes the picture.

Unfortunately, it was a disappointing visit. The restaurant only accepts cash, which is neither modern nor customer-friendly. There are no designated children's dishes on the menu, which is inconvenient in itself. When we ordered some simple pasta for our toddler, we ended up being charged €10 – completely disproportionate and lacking in transparency. The value for money is completely out of this world. The service seemed annoyed when we asked about it. We definitely won't be back.

Very nice ambiance and, above all, the view. We've been going there for years and have hosted many family dinners there. The price/performance ratio is good, and the food is consistently delicious.

Waited 25 minutes for drinks (1 bottle of water and 2 Aperols). The drinks arrived, but unfortunately, one water glass was too few. Another wait. Pizza was okay. The Italian salad came with the wrong dressing. Sitting outside is nice with a view of the pond. However, they could have done a lot more. The decor is dated. Card payments not accepted!

Unfortunately not. We were there before opening at 5 p.m. today and waited patiently. Shortly before opening, a waiter called us in and led us to a table where our dog also had a place under the table. We had just sat down when the manager came over and said we should change tables, which we did. We hadn't been sitting for five minutes when we were asked what we wanted to eat. We would like to order a drink first and then something to eat a little later. The beer arrived, but the waiter also came every five minutes to take the food. We then ordered and also ordered a second large beer. Suddenly, the manager came over and said we had to pay because she needed the table. When we replied that she had sat us there herself, she said rudely, that wasn't true. They simply ignored us and didn't bring us anything else to drink. After a while, the waiter came and said we wanted to pay. No, we didn't, but the manager wanted us to. She then denied having assigned us that table. We go out to eat very often, as we travel in our RV, and we don't just get up and finish our meal after a drink, but that's never happened to us in 40 years. We won't be seeing that restaurant again.

I ate there a few times. Super friendly and helpful. No card payments accepted.

We didn't eat anything because the Google ad said kebabs, but the menu only had pizza.

Today I had sole, shrimp, and Parma ham. It was absolutely delicious! The pizzas are also delicious. I'll be back.

We were there yesterday with 12 people, a table was reserved and there was space for everyone. The service was very attentive and quick, the food was great. The boss also came and asked if everything was to our satisfaction, to which we answered yes. All of our children's wishes were also fulfilled. Unfortunately I can't understand the reviews at all, this restaurant has existed for as long as I can remember and nothing has gotten worse. The pizzas may have been prepared in terms of the dough, but to talk about frozen pizza is cheeky. Best regards

The two of us actually like to go there occasionally, but our daughter hates the somewhat unfriendly and lecturing waiter, whose unsolicited opinions about "the Germans" and "good and bad vacation spots" we have to endure. Well, the customer just learns here. It's not that bad, we know about the cash and we just like the lasagna.

Very fast service, wonderful food, staff have been working together for decades, you can tell ;-), it's sad that some people only want to pay by card here, but you should always have a little cash with you, and it doesn't look like much of the 80s either, rather cozy.

Recommended for fans of the 80s. Pizza and salads like back then have probably missed the leap into today. The taste was ok but nothing more, there are better pizzerias in Trier. You don't have to bother. Service very arrogant and not attentive.

Pizzeria im Stil der 80er Jahre. Italienischer Salat war wie 1985 Als ich den zum ersten mal gegessen habe, Kopfsalat mit Formschincken und Gauda aus der Fertigpackung übergossen mit einerCocktail Sauce aus der Flasche, muss man heute nicht mehr haben. Pizza aus dem Rundblech! Geschmacklich Okay aber muss man nicht mehr haben, da gibt es einige besseren Pizzerias in Trier. Service sehr arrogant und nicht kritikfähig. Muss man sich nicht antun!

Unfortunately, that was the worst pizza I've ever eaten. A frozen pizza would have been more enjoyable and would have been 1/3 as expensive. You should have paid me for the food instead of me paying you. What was that 😭 The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was also really nice.

Once and never again, lousy unfriendly service, bad greasy pizza and the shop is just incredibly old and looks like it's from the 80s...

Called at 5:30 p.m. right after lunch break. Table confirmed for 7 p.m. When we arrived (4 people), the already annoyed owner told us that we had to expect a wait of around 10 minutes. Customers before and after us were immediately sent out. After 10 minutes, apart from a few comments thrown into the room by the 2 ladies who were serving us, that they should just close and throw out the paying customers, there was still nothing, so they left again. If you don't have space, you should say so or at least be organized enough to keep reserved tables free. Of course you can't say anything about food or anything else but we wouldn't try it again. In terms of service, it's an absolute disgrace.

Unfortunately, absolutely nothing. We had made a reservation by phone and when we showed up on time, we were annoyed and told “No, that's going to take a while, everything is full”. Then we stood around for 5 minutes without anyone paying any attention. We then decided that we would rather spend our money elsewhere and left.

Even though we hadn't made a reservation, we were seated straight away. You have to bring a bit of time, but the food is MEGA, so to speak, Molto Bene and a very nice family atmosphere, unfortunately we didn't take any photos

Nice location by the pond to sit outside, the staff was polite and courteous, the cutlery was sharp and the schnitzel was very tasty and the portion size was optimal. And even though it was relatively busy, the food came surprisingly quickly. Toilets were clean. Gladly again! When the summer weather is nice, you can have a meal here after a walk around the pond.

I recently visited this restaurant and was extremely disappointed. In this day and age, not being able to pay by card is simply unacceptable. I only had my card with me and had to walk to the nearest ATM to withdraw cash. This completely ruined my evening. The staff was not very accommodating and seemed to have no understanding of the situation at all. It's 2024 - please modernize your payment system! Definitely not recommended.

I visited this Italian restaurant for dinner with my family and I really noticed the quick service. The staff was very friendly and the food came much quicker than expected. The pasta and pizza in particular were delicious, but the dessert options could have been more varied. Overall it was a pleasant experience for a family meal, but the atmosphere could have been a bit warmer and more welcoming.

Ich finde es immer wieder wunderbar!!!! Wir haben dort mit großer Familie zu Abend gegessen. Obwohl alle Plätze belegt waren wurden wir zügig professionell und freundlich bedient. Essen ist in Ordnung, aber nichts besonderes. Pizzen gibt es auf jeden Fall bessere in Trier.

An einem Samstagabend nur bis 21 Uhr geöffnet zu haben, ist äußerst schwach!

Warum es in Trier eine so ungewöhnlich große Anzahl an Restaurants mit unbeholfen dilettantischem Service und magerer Küchenleistung gibt, läßt sich nur schwer ergründen, aber es ist bei weitem nicht überall so schlimm wie im Ristorante La Gondola. Eigentlich befindet sich die Einrichtung in sehr attraktiver Lage am Rande eines kleinen Parks mit einem großen Teich und man sollte eigentlich einen niveauvollen Besuch erwarten dürfen. Doch nach nur wenigen Minuten häufen sich gravierende Fehler eines total unprofessionell wirkenden Service mit einem ebensolchen Küchenresultat. Als erstes fällt ein unangenehm kumpelhafter, teils anmaßender Tonfall des Personals auf, was aber einige Stammgäste hier offenkundig schätzen, weil sie das Getue möglicherweise mit Herzlichkeit verwechseln. Eine ältere Dame, mutmaßlich die Seniorchefin des Hauses, kommt und nimmt die Bestellung entgegen. Ich wähle von der Karte zunächst eine Minestrone - es gibt keine (ein Armutszeugnis für ein italienisches Restaurant!). Zehn Minuten später kommt ein anderer Mitarbeiter und wir müssen die gesamte Bestellung noch einmal auswendig herunterleiern. Nicht nur das beweist, daß hier offenbar die linke Hand nicht weiß, was die rechte tut. Ich bestelle Calamari, zu denen laut Karte ein Salat gehört. Dieser wird prompt "vergessen" und als ich später beim Abräumen der Teller das thematisiere, heißt es scheinheilig: "Ach, wollten Sie einen Salat?" Keine Entschuldigung, keine Erklärung, unverschämter geht es wohl kaum. Zufällig höre ich, wie der Seniorchef zu einem eintreffenden Gast sagt: "Plätze haben wir genug, aber die Küche hat Probleme". Das kann man wohl sagen, aber die Probleme betreffen nicht nur die Überforderung bei starker Frequentierung, sondern daß der hier obwaltende "Küchenmeister" anscheinend zu wenig Erfahrung hat, um halbwegs befriedigende Gerichte zu kreieren: Meine Tomatensuppe ist exakt geschmacksgleich mit der später gelieferten Tomatensoße zu den Calamari. Genauer gesagt -- von Geschmack kann keine Rede sein, denn das Ganze wirkt nicht abgeschmeckt, sondern erscheint nur unangenehm ätzend salzig, als wäre eine große Portion Glutamat im Spiel. Hier werden nicht einmal Mindestanforderungen erreicht. Daß allerdings die Lasagne meiner Begleiterin völlig in Ordnung war, habe ich schon anhand der Konsistenz gesehen und diese auch probiert. Hier stimmte die Mischung aus Schichtnudeln, Bechamelsauce und Käse genau. Ansonsten jedoch ein ärgerlicher Betrieb mit ungenügender Küchenleistung und daß am schlechten Ende nur Barzahlung akzeptiert wird, verwundert dann auch nicht mehr.

Der Laden ist gut besucht und hat eine Anhängerschaft. Ich bevorzuge andere Restaurants.

Mehrmals eine fantastische Pizza gegessen . Für mich sehr empfehlenswert

Wir bestellten Pizza 2 Stück Marinara, erhielten 2 Pizzen die völlig wässerig waren. Also regelrechte Wasserpfützen, aber es hatte keinen interessiert. Wir haben 70% stehen lassen, 100% gezahlt und sind gegangen

Ziemlich teuer, das Schnitzel aber sehr lecker. Die Bedienung ist nett und die Lage ist auch nicht schlecht. Wünsche werden hier aber nur bestätigt und dann ignoriert. 3 Sterne sind noch nett, dafür dass der Kellner nachdem man ihn darauf hinweist, das man ohne Zwiebeln bestellt hatte, und er versicherte das das ginge, die Zwiebeln mit der Hand entfernt. Leider schon zweimal so vorgekommen. Am besten nur das bestellen was man exakt wie auf der Karte haben möchte.

Wer gerne eine Pizza essen möchte, die auf den Teller passt und dann auch noch gut schmeckt, der sollte hier Mal hingehen. Hier wird gekocht wie man es aus Italien kennt , super lecker.

Zahlreiche Gerichte, Essen immer sehr lecker und kommt zügig. Kellner alle immer sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Komme immer wieder gerne hier hin, wenn ich in Trier bin. Definitiv einen Besuch wert.

Apfelstrudel ist total schlecht: zu weich,weil er aus der Mikrowelle kommt mit winziger Eis- und Sahnebeilage.

Das Lokal hat mir optisch nicht so gefallen,was aber nicht wichtig ist. Mir hat die Pizza trotz Preisehöhung(verständlich) super geschmeckt. Das Lokal war voll,somit schmeckt es dort. Wenn ich mal wieder in Trier bin,werde ich hier eine Pizza bestellen.

Sehr persönlich und familiär. Hier gibt es noch Schnecken und Froschschenkel. Einzig den Lachs mag ich lieber etwas glasig.

Heute war mein Besuch sehr enttäuschend. Ich war mit meiner Mutter heute hier, sie hat Geburtstag. Wir haben 1,5 Std. auf unser Essen gewartet, als ich der Bedienung sagte, antwortete sie so: "haben Sie reserviert? Nein? Dann müssen Sie eben warten!" Als ich zahlen wollte, habe ich mehrmals gesagt, dass meine Mutter Geburtstag hat, nach der Erwartung ein Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Geburtstag zu hören, oder ähnliches, sie hätte sich jedenfalls gefreut, aber weder das, noch ein Digestif, oder Kaffee oder sonst was... kundenfreundlich ist was anderes und der Abend war leider enttäuschend. Beim nächsten Mal fahre ich woanders mit ihr hin.

Service und Essen mangelhaft. Zum Service: Servicekraft (ein Mann): Wir drei empfanden sowohl den Geruch der Kleidung als auch das Atems sehr unangenehm, gar abstoßend. Servicekraft (ein Frau): Wir empfanden es deplaziert, das sie sich bei Kunden am Nachbartisch lautstark und ausdrücklich über andere Kunden, die einige Tische weiter entfernt saßen, beschwerte. Servicekraft (ein anderer Mann): Wir saßen bei angenehmem Wetter auf der Terrasse, also hatten wir damit zu rechnen, dass dort auch geraucht wird. Womit wir nicht rechneten: der Kellner rauchte seine Zigaretten direkt neben den Tischen, neben uns. Das halte ich als vermeidenswert. Das Essen: Es dauerte 20 Minuten, bis wir bestellen konnten. Die Getränke kamen zügig. Wir orderten 2 Pizza und eine Tagliatelle Gamberettine. Gebracht wurden die beiden Pizza ... Und dann erst Mal nichts. Nachdem meine Begleiter ihre Pizza zur Hälfte gegessen hatten, kam ein Kellner und fragte, was noch fehlen würde. Das sollte eigentlich er wissen, da er die Bestellung aufnahm, und die Pizzen brachte. Also sein Tisch. Ich sagte ihm, was ich bestellte. Dann hörte ich, dass er dem anderen Kellner zurief, dass noch die Tagliatelle fehlte am Tisch. Nach 5 Minuten kam dieser mit dem Teller dann an den Tisch und sagte: "Spaghetti? " Ich antwortete: "Nein, Tagliatelle". Er sagte: "Ich weiß, das ist aber das, was die Küche mir gegeben hat". Augenkontakt vermeidend und verlegen grinsend stellte er den Teller ab und ging. Verblüfft war ich da. Da ich weder wollte, dass das Essen ggf weggeworfen wird, noch warten wollte (Hunger, gemeinsames Essen), entschied ich mich, die Spaghetti zu essen. Essensqualität : Die Pizza waren geschmacklich ok. Eine Pizza war mit Rucola ausgeschrieben, den galt es aber zu suchen ( 5 Blättchen). Beide Pizza waren verbrannt, und zwar nicht am Rand, dort hätte der Gast es ja abschneiden können, sondern der Boden: schwarz und hart und natürlich nicht genießbar. Ca ein Viertel der Pizza war unessbar, das blieb auf dem Teller liegen und wurde umgedreht, damit Service und Küche das sehen und ggf reagieren können. Beim Abräumen wurde gefragt, ob es geschmeckt hätte. Ihr Blick viel kurz auf die Pizzareste. Ohne ein Kommentar abzuwarten, wurde abgeräumt. Die Spaghettinudel war gut gegart, die Sause war wässrig, ging keine Verbindung mit der Nudel ein. Die Gamberettine waren die kleinsten, die ich bisher gegessen habe. Zwei Randbemerkungen: wir wollten noch ein Tiramisu bestellen: war aus. Ein Gast, der gerade ankam, wollte eine Pizza essen. Antwort: ist aus. Die Rechnung wurde uns ausgestellt, ohne irgendeine Kompensation bzgl o.g. Mängel. Wir haben uns entschieden, dieses Lokal nicht mehr aufzusuchen.
