We were there recently. The ambiance and service were quite good, but the pizza was very dry, lacking in tomato sauce and cheese. So, for the price, it was a bit cheeky...

Super attentive, friendly, and fast staff. The food came really quickly and tasted really good. They really know how to use spices here. Highly recommended, and a bit away from the hustle and bustle.

Not everyone should be allowed to serve customers! Never before have we been treated so unfriendly

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant today. After being seated, I waited over 30 minutes for service. During this time, I was neither asked for drinks nor given any other attention. What was particularly frustrating was that the staff saw me but deliberately ignored me. Other guests who arrived after me were immediately served in a friendly manner, but I was completely ignored. This kind of behavior is completely incomprehensible to me and disrespectful to paying customers. Instead of having a pleasant restaurant experience, I felt completely unwelcome. Especially in the restaurant industry, service and hospitality should be paramount. Conclusion: Extremely unprofessional and unfriendly staff. It's a real shame, because I won't recommend the restaurant because of this incident alone.

We decided on this restaurant while looking for something delicious to eat. And what can I say, we weren't disappointed. I had lasagna and my girlfriend had the delicious pasta with shrimp in tomato sauce. My girlfriend's request to keep the sauce light, if possible, was accommodated without any problems. The staff was also very friendly and attentive. Everything was perfect for us and was very, very tasty. We would gladly come back.

Our food was okay. Unfortunately, the risotto wasn't quite as tasty. The service lacked passion for the business. It's a shame.

It's a pity that most "Italian restaurants" offer the same old thing, even though Italian cuisine has many more culinary specialties besides pasta, pizza and grilled meat.

Classy and very good with friendly attentive service

Ristorante La Fontana in Rostock was unfortunately not the lunch experience I was hoping for. I can overlook most everything- except the seemingly rude and almost non-existent service. It was also the place of the warmest, flat diet pepsi I've ever had in my life- anywhere in the world. On a brighter note, my friend really enjoyed her dessert, and she went out of her way to find our server and give her some extra money as a tip. She actually smiled and seemed appreciative, but by then, it was too late for me.

So far, the food was good...cash only, right!

Small, nice restaurant with friendly service. Unfortunately, complaints, in our case about a really tough steak, were not dealt with in a professional manner.

The pizza tastes okay. However, it's not really big and seems quite cheap. The price speaks a different language at almost €18 per pizza. The margherita alone costs €15. The drinks are also very expensive at €5.50 for a cola. In addition, our pizzas arrived very late. The restaurant itself is clean, but not particularly cozy.

We now come more often for lunch as pasta and pizza are offered at half price. But outside of the offer, the prices are completely reasonable and okay. The kitchen is top notch and so is the friendly lady in service. We'll definitely be back.

Eher durch Zufall haben wir dies Restaurant zur Mittagszeit in Rostock entdeckt um eine Kleinigkeit zu essen. Meine Frau und Ich hatten uns für Bruschetta entschieden und ich muß sagen wir haben selten eine so leckere Bruschetta gegessen wie im La Fontana in Rostock. Hier würde ich glatt Stammgast werden wenn ich nicht 400km weit entfernt wohnen würde. Auch die Bedienung war super nett.

We were here with the family for Christmas Day and overall we were very satisfied. The atmosphere is cozy, the service was extremely nice, courteous and humorous. I had the grilled Norwegian salmon (found on the menu under "Steaks"), delicious. The potatoes are also delicious as a side dish. I think there is a bit of room for improvement in the pizza, which doesn't taste bad at all. It is somewhat spartan and quickly dries out into a "board". I actually recommend trying fish, pasta or meat. Nevertheless, taste is of course subjective, everyone can convince themselves. I would give it 4.5, but that's not possible. Since the advantages clearly predominate, it's five stars. I can recommend the restaurant.

So basically I was very positively surprised by the ambience and atmosphere in this restaurant, which looks very inconspicuous and rustic from the outside. We were warmly welcomed and were given a seat; it was quite empty despite it being an evening and the Christmas market next door. Unfortunately, I quickly had to find out why this was the case. I ordered spaghetti carbonara, which quickly arrived. In the end, my first and last impression of the food was: "I've never eaten worse carbonara." Accordingly, little was eaten and the waitress made no further comment when she noted the lack of satisfaction. This stay ruined my weekend and my lovely evening together.

We had dinner here in the early afternoon. As a starter we had bruschetta, which both my husband and I thought were very good. My husband then had pasta with salmon and I had a pizza with vegetables. Here, too, we were both more than satisfied. We can only recommend this restaurant. The service was very friendly and regularly asked if we needed anything else or if everything was OK.

After a very sad day for the family, we had a very nice end at La Fontana. Thank you for the extremely excellent service! We felt very comfortable, the food was a dream and we are already looking forward to the next time. Best regards.

Small but nice, wasn't our first choice but we weren't disappointed. Super nice and friendly with good food. The Italian flair is a little missing. Although the menu covers fish, meat, pasta and pizza, it is still quite clear and short. The selection of pizzas in particular is not very varied when you look at the toppings.

So with the Pizza Diana the chef would probably have to get rid of his vegetables. Carrots on it. Salad was in the oven from the start. At least the lasagne and the service were good

Located next to St. Mary's Church, a short distance from Kröpeliner Strasse. Taken a seat in the restaurant. Strangely enough, on a Saturday evening in the city location, apart from the two of us, there were only 4 other guests at a table on site. The atmosphere was very cool, almost no coziness, bright, annoying LED spots in the ceiling. Although there were cozy lights in the window sills, they were switched off. So it was the famous "train station atmosphere." The tea light behind the glass and paper creation on the table didn't help either. However... our food was absolutely TOP!!!! P.S. .... the tonic water is served with lemon slices without having to ask.

Price/performance is ok, service is very good, recommended at any time.

The restaurant is centrally located next to St. Mary's Church and has a large selection of delicious Italian dishes, especially pasta. The service was very friendly and attentive. The lasagne tasted very good and was plentiful.

Great food, nice service. There is certainly a lack of more advertising in the marketplace - perhaps with a slightly cheaper daily dish or something similar, such as spagetti con frutti di mare.

In terms of taste, the food was just great. It smelled wonderful when you walked into the restaurant. The menu is very varied, so everyone should get their money's worth. The only criticism is that the furnishings are very simple. It seems very uncomfortable. But otherwise a real recommendation.

Overall, the Ristorante La Fontana in Rostock gave us a pleasant afternoon. The location is very central and therefore easily accessible. The service was really excellent - the staff were friendly and attentive. The bruschetta starter was absolutely top notch and a real highlight. The main course was okay, but couldn't quite keep up with the starter. Overall, a solid experience, but with room for improvement.

Het eten was middelmatig maar daar was de prijs dan ook naar. Liever een wat hogere prijs met wat meer vis of vlees van betere kwaliteit. De gerechten of zich waren wel zeer smaakvol. De bediening was niet bepaald vriendelijk te noemen.

That's how gastronomy works. We were thrilled by everything: friendliness, gourmet delights and a cozy spot not far from the hustle and bustle on the Kröpi.

We just wanted to eat here, there were a few free places outside but unfortunately it was already quite cool. So we went inside where it was completely empty. We asked if we could sit inside because of the freshness. But the waitress said she only served outside. That was completely incomprehensible because the tables inside were crowded and empty. This “restaurant” won’t see us again. Very unsympathetic.

Small inconspicuous restaurant with good food. I had caprese as a starter and pizza as my main course. The starter, although quite simple, tasted great and was well seasoned without any unnecessary balsamic vinegar. The pizza was also very tasty. Great dough, not a run-of-the-mill blank and toppings such as tomato sauce harmonized perfectly. Gladly again!

Simple but well-kept restaurant with slightly inflated prices. A pizza with seafood, which was not well topped, for €16.90 and a mediocre wine, the 0.25 l glass for €7.50, the bottle of water - Pellegrino - for €7.90, I find a bit excessive.

My partner and I were both completely satisfied! Unfortunately, card payment is not possible, but there is an ATM advertised and right around the corner so it's no problem at all. The food came super quickly, was extremely tasty and the service was very friendly and attentive. We can definitely recommend it and would be happy to come back!

Italians right in the city center. Service seemed annoyed even with there being few seats. Card payment not possible, seems a bit backwards. Ambience is okay but food is rather expensive and unfortunately sometimes... not original Italian (Carbonara with cream etc). For the price and service it remains a one-time visit.

We were there on December 19th. here around 5:30 p.m. Unfortunately we were the only guests. The food was perfectly fine, the service was very friendly, there was nothing to complain about. We would come here again.

Wir suchten schnell vor dem Konzert noch etwas zum Essen, bekamen den letzten Sitzplatz und freuten uns, sooooo leckere Gerichte zu bekommen. Der Service leider ein klein wenig reserviert und die Geräuschkulisse im Restaurant sehr laut, deshalb ein Punkt Abzug, Die Auswahl der Gerichte und der Geschmack machen es aber allemal wett. Gerne wieder

Wir hatten einen kleinen Zwischenstopp in Rostock um gezielt Pizza zu essen. Zufällig landeten wir mit unseren beiden kleinen Kindern in la fontana. Die beiden Damen im Service waren super. Beherrschten ihr Handwerk;-) Freundlich, aufmerksam und schnell. Die Pizza ließ nicht lange auf sich warten und war ebenfalls exzellent. Die Lage direkt an der Kirche mit den benachbarten Gassen und der nahegelegenen Fussgängerzone ist top. Der einzige Kritikpunkt: die Einrichtung ist schon ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen. Der Italo Chick ließ bei uns keine Gemütlichkeit aufkommen. Für gute Pizza und tollen Service können das Restaurant dennoch unbedingt empfehlen!

Nice restaurant located directly in the old city center on a romantic quiet place. It is definitely worth visiting this place while being in Rostock. The food is great and the service friendly smiling while serving the food and drinks. We love to return.

4 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder haben sehr gut gegessen, die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, ein Räuberteller wurde ganz selbstverständlich gebracht. Dass die Kinder auch so nett behandelt werden wie die Erwachsenen, erlebt man leider nicht immer. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und werden sicher wiederkommen, wenn wir das nächste Mal in Rostock sind.

Ruhig gelegenes, schönes italienisches Restaurant in welches wir nach dem Besuch der Udo Lindenberg Ausstellung in der Kunsthalle Rostock hungrig einkehrten. Die Lasagne war ausgezeichnet und den momentanen Preisen angemessen. Sehr schmackhaft! Die Räumlichkeiten sind stilvoll und trotzdem gemütlich. Die Bedienung war ausgesprochen freundlich und aufmerksam.

Sehr schönes Ambiente und sehr guter Service. Das Essen war 1a. Der Antipasti Teller zur Vorspeise war perfekt.

We were visiting Rostock for the first time and happened to stumble upon this restaurant - decided to give it a try. We ordered carpaccio for starters and those were really good; interesting with the mushroom addition to it. Then I had the Spaghetti con frutti di mare and my man chose the Spaghetti con scampi, which was a bit spicier than my food. Both pastas were delicious and tasty, good size of the portions as well and fairly prized. The waitress was nice, even though a bit stressed out due to many guests. Do take note; the restaurant doesn´t accept credit cards! They do have a sign on the door that says so - we managed to miss it anyway, which made my man run around looking for an ATM..! :-D We would come back if we would return to Rostock :-)

Wir wollten an einem Tisch im Innenraum des Restaurants platznehmen, direkt gegenüber der Theke und an der Tür zur Terrasse, durch die die Bedienung sowieso immer durch musste. Auf unsere höfliche Frage, ob wir an demTisch direkt an der Tür drinnen platznehmen könnten, patzte uns die Bedienung an, dass sie nur draußen bediene. Draußen waren nur 3 Tische besetzt, aber alle mit mehreren Rauchern, deshalb wollten wir lieber drinnen essen. Es war kein Grund für den eingeschränkten Service ersichtlich, im Gegenteil: die Entfernung wäre nur ein Bruchteil zur Terrasse gewesen. Offenbar hatte die Bedienung keine Lust auf weitere Gäste, solch ein Personal muss sich ein Restaurant erst einmal leisten können! Wir haben dann ohne zu essen das Restaurant wieder verlassen. Übrigens: das Restaurant akzeptiert nur Bargeld. Auch solch einen eingeschränkten Service kann man sich dort offenbar leisten. Uns wird dieses Restaurant jedenfalls nie wieder sehen.

Wir waren bereits das dritte Mal dort essen und es hat uns wieder gut gefallen. Die Bedienung mit ihrem nordischen Charme war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Restaurant war voll, sie war alleine und hat trotzdem alles im Griff gehabt. Das Essen war sehr lecker und der Preis vollkommen in Ordnung. Wir kommen auch gerne ein viertes Mal vorbei.

Jedes Jahr wenn wir an die Ostsee fahren, müssen wir mal hier her. Es war auch dieses Jahr ein Hochgenuss. Der Koch weiß was Er tut (das Bruschetta war einsame Spitze) und die Bedienung immer flink und freundlich. 👍. LG Martina und Ronny

Sehr teuer und nicht so gut wie beschrieben wurde. Der Teig sehr dünn war aber okay vom Geschmack aber sehr mager belegt.

Sehr gute Antipasti misti. Die Pizza mit Gemüse dagegen eher eine zufällige Mischung allerdings recht frischer Bestandteile. Gute Weine. Keine Kartenzahlung,ziemlich lästig. Recht kühle Bewirtung.

Die Bedienung war nett und das Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt (wir hatten Pizza). Ich fand es etwas überteuert.

Total lecker und mit nettem Service. Portion wirklich gut. Und der Ausblick tut sein übriges!
