Ristorante Colosseo in Rostock

We chose this restaurant because it was close to our hotel, and luckily we had reserved a table beforehand, as it was very busy. The service staff was incredibly friendly from start to finish, and the food was simply divine. We were starving, so we ordered quite a lot: tomato soup, Parmesan soup, antipasti for two, followed by pasta aglio e oleo with scampi and pasta with wood onions. Everything was super fresh, piping hot, and absolutely delicious. We had a wonderful evening and would definitely come back. (P.S. Unfortunately, we didn't take any photos because we were so hungry and just wanted to enjoy ourselves.)

Me & my daughter had early dinner at this Italian restaurant. We had a kids margarita pizza, bruschetta’s & penne arabiata. It was delicious. Perfect potions, not too much. Freshly made warm bread.

We were absolutely disappointed yesterday! The pike-perch fillet was full of bones, the side dishes were wrong twice, and all for €27.90 – it was outrageous! I've never eaten so badly there! Even the zabaglione used to be better. If the kitchen stays like this, it's no longer my "favorite Italian restaurant"!

We've been eating here for years and love it. Last week we reserved a table online. When we arrived, the restaurant was dark and locked. It's a real shame we weren't informed and the trip was for nothing.

Really lucky to stumble upon this gem. It was the rare occasion when everything was perfect. Every dish was delicious and cooked to perfection, the wines carefully chosen, the aperol just right. Add into this very fair prices (I paid under 50€ for two courses, wine and a cocktail) I will be back.

I've rarely experienced such friendly and, above all, empathetic service. My mom is severely disabled, and she was truly pampered and treated with such care. Thank you so much for that. We'll be happy to return❤️

I happened to be driving past this restaurant today and stopped because I was hungry – and it was definitely the right decision. Although the restaurant is a bit out of the way, it's still busy and immediately feels inviting. The ambiance is very stylish and cozy, making you feel at home right away. The service was absolutely top-notch: attentive, friendly, and with a warmth that you unfortunately rarely experience these days. I particularly liked the fact that they checked in between to see if everything was okay – something that's often neglected these days. The food was also excellent – ​​fresh, tasty, and of very good quality. The value for money is also perfect here. All in all, a thoroughly successful spontaneous visit. I would definitely be happy to come back and highly recommend this restaurant!

An authentic Italian pizza! I had a delicious pizza and ice cream. The service was wonderful, and I felt like I was in Italy.

Life goes a long way with a little friendliness, which wasn't the case here. We ate here two days in a row; one was excellent, the other was a flop. Guests' requests for their orders are ignored. Very focused on sales.

Probably the best Italian restaurant in Rostock, but certainly one of the best. Great service, delicious food, good location. We've been here many times and always enjoy coming back. The Italian-style burger was very good. Highly recommended.

Whatever has happened in the last seven months has had an impact. Service: top-notch, courteous, and attentive. Kitchen: misunderstandings on all levels. And the food, unfortunately, was abysmal. This has nothing to do with Italian cuisine. All the main courses were at best cafeteria-level. Overcooked, undercooked, cooked, and even obviously prepared incorrectly. The pizzas are only available in mini format for maximum prices. That was a real joke. Unfortunately, someone seems to be confusing 30 cm with 20 cm. So, unfortunately, the price is also a joke. Expensive and cut corners. The starter was delicious, though. But it's usually not rocket science to cut slices of sausage and cheese and drape canned olives. Oh well, Please retrain or replace the chef. Note to the service: They also serve vegan cheese... then you won't have so much stress ;)

We spontaneously stopped by for dinner today. The menu leaves nothing to be desired, and there was also a daily special with great dishes. The staff was very friendly and accommodated our requests without any problems. We started with delicious pizza rolls, the main courses were simply excellent, and even dessert was still manageable, even though we were full. We'll definitely be back.

Unfortunately the visit there was very disappointing. First our order was forgotten so we had to ask. Because guests who came after us already received their meals. Our pizza bread arrived quickly: crumbled in the middle and very brown, poorly cut and charred from below. When I criticized him and asked if it was too crispy and I pointed to the bottom, he said he hadn't noticed. Support came from the next table. Only the pizza bread was taken off the bill. Nobody apologized. Lasagna and spaghetti were okay.

Because I can't remember exactly everything about November 24th, but we still all agree that the service was good but the food was bad, in the interest of fairness I won't go into details other than that the carbonara was tasteless and the Bolognese tasted like Barilla.

My partner and I ordered food for our anniversary. What can I say, the spaghetti carbonara was old, felt like I was hungry the day before. My partner is lying in bed with a stomach ache after his pizza. My conclusion: Never again!

Where do I start! Got olives with big stones on the pizza and actually broke a tooth. I was told not to complain, because that's how they did it at that restaurant. They denied having put snack olives instead of slice olives on the pizza. Madness. Very bad food for very much money. Many guests complained about the food they were served. Find somewhere else to eat is my advice!

Das Restaurant liegt recht attraktiv am Rande des Hafens und macht von außen eine guten Eindruck. Auch von innen ist es eine okaye Mischung aus stylisch und gemütlich. Der Service ist zurückhaltend freundlich, aber zuverlässig. Zum Essen: nicht schlecht, aber auch alles andere als irgendwie besonders. Nudelgerichte Marke „befriedigend“, die Carbonara allerdings doch sogar noch deutlich drunter. Der Pizzaboden ist entweder zu hart oder die Messer zu stumpf. Preis-Leistung daher knapp nicht mehr ganz in Ordnung. Ingesamt gibt es doch einige andere italienische Restaurants im Hafen, die deutlich empfehlenswerter sind.

Unfortunately a very disappointing visit on a Saturday evening. Although the restaurant was rather empty, there were very long waiting times. Meanwhile, the staff chatted animatedly and persistently with certain guests. The beer was warm, but the potatoes with the salmon were cold. Clearing away empty starters was overlooked several times. Due to a lack of service, I managed exactly one (1) beer over a 3-hour evening. Strange business model...

We had a fruit cup and a banana split and that was sensational, the atmosphere and the staff were simply great. We would love to come back.

We ate there for the first time today. Unfortunately the carbonara wasn't that great. (Lukewarm and not that great in taste either). Spaghetti with scampi was super tasty, as was spaghetti with fillet strips. The service was super friendly and just great. Unfortunately you don't have that often anymore. We were not charged for the carbonara. It's very nice that the customers are taken into account.

One of the worst lasagna i have ever had. And i have had them all over europe. This one just was too liquidity, felt like i was earing tomato soup. The mocktail was good, it was strong but the quantity was less, the other pasta i didn't try but my friend said it was good. They also gave some bread with cheese complimentary, which was very boring. But the location of the restaurant is great, just next to it is stairs that lead to water, so it was convenient.

We visited the restaurant based on the reviews because they say they have great pasta. The selection is large. But for us it lacked spice. However, the ambience was subterranean: arcade atmosphere, hall lighting, knick-knacks everywhere and a really loud ice cream freezer that was constantly on and was so loud that you could no longer converse or hear the music. We won't be coming back.

I ordered the tagliatelle with spinach and gorgonzola. Unfortunately, it was not written on the menu that this dish contains meat. So if you want to order vegetarian, you should probably ask again. I think this should actually be clearly marked on the menu. Unfortunately, the taste of the other dishes wasn't convincing either. It was also quite expensive for what you get.

We ordered lasagne and pizza. Unfortunately, the lasagne was quite bland, overloaded with cheese and did not correspond to the "original recipe". The pizza tasted great, but with the thin base and dry edge, it wasn't quite my cup of tea. Service good!

We were looking for a location for our wedding celebration and came across this one. The first impression was very positive - the location itself made a great impression and the staff was extremely friendly. Unfortunately, our impression changed during the personal consultation with the boss. We found that there was a lack of organization and professionalism. There were no general buffet or menu suggestions, so we had to put together our own meal. We were only offered the choice between a "normal" and a "high-quality" buffet - but what exactly that meant remained unclear. There was a lack of structure and concrete assistance to put together a suitable buffet. We were also informed that an external wedding cake was not welcome for alleged hygienic reasons. If we had still decided on an external cake, a plate fee of 4.50 euros per person would have been charged. We found this to be an unfortunate solution, especially since plates and cutlery are provided at the buffet anyway. Another point that bothered us was the restriction on the DJ's volume due to the surrounding residents. This might have put a damper on the celebrations. What particularly irritated us, however, was the calculation of the prices. The boss had originally calculated for 50 guests, but when we pointed out to him that we were only expecting 30 guests, the price didn't change. That seemed very strange to us. All in all, the location would have been very suitable for our celebration, but due to the unorganized structure, lack of flexibility and non-transparent pricing, we ultimately decided against it.

A nice restaurant where you can spontaneously get a table even on a Saturday. The food was good, but there is room for improvement. Starting with the bruschetta. You know it and love it, but this was a little different. There were small mini breads that were the size of a cracker. Lots of rocket and tomatoes on top. In the end we had salad rather than bread. The Diabolo pizza wasn't spicy and the Pizza Speziale had diced ham instead of ham strips. In addition, you know it in every restaurant that when the waiter comes and hands the plate across the table, you take it from him (no one has ever said anything). But there is a waiter there with longer hair who brings you the food and when you want to take it, he jerks the plate away and doesn't really look at you in a friendly way. We ordered cocktails and one was lost when we ordered. There is still potential for improvement.

The food was very tasty, both the salmon with spinach and the burrata fillering steak. Outside you also have a beautiful view of St. Peter's Church.

Last week in the afternoon I was greeted with a "what do you want" with my fiancée, including an undertone? Was already wired... Then no drinks menu within 1-2 minutes even though the waitress walked past to the other table, it was a cheek and we left the place immediately. Work on your staff!

My portion was relatively small. But taste good. There are traditionally small rolls with a cream as well as olive oil and balsamic vinegar to bridge the waiting time. Unfortunately this time it only came when the food was brought. The ambience comes from the view of the water and St. Peter's Church.

We had dinner on a Sunday evening. The restaurant was very busy. Great ambience, great service and super delicious food. Actually 5 stars everywhere. However, we were there again 3 days later in the afternoon around 5 p.m. The restaurant was almost empty. Three employees were there for 4 occupied tables and a bit of walk-in customers. (The Sunday before, almost all tables were occupied + walk-in customers!!!) The starter came in a reasonable amount of time. Unfortunately, we only got the main course after an hour and a half. The waitress had absolutely no eye for empty glasses or hearing when she walked past the table. (If she was visible at all) The waitress seemed completely absent because she also brought the wrong drink and the wrong size twice. I have no idea what was going on that day. But we were really disappointed that the really great food was ruined by the poor service that afternoon. Therefore unfortunately only 3 stars. Too bad
