The first impression was very elegant, very well attended and very flexible in terms of the number of people in groups. Unfortunately I didn't see any access for wheelchair users, which is a shame. Of course you should always reserve and ask in advance! The staff was very welcoming (although they didn't know me), nice and good looking. Drinks and food arrived very quickly even though it quickly became very full, which didn't bother us either. The kitchen is visible to the guest, which of course always seems positive in my reviews. About the food: we had the antipasti for 2 in advance (it would easily have been enough for 3) lots of nice selection, very tasty. Main courses were ribeye steak and salmon on spinach. The portion size was just right, based on the amount of starter, my ribeye was supposed to be medium and was on point, had nothing to criticize, the salmon on spinach was also visually and tastefully very appealing, the center was slightly glassy and overall very juicy, so excellent. There weren't too many dishes based on the number on the menu and there was something for everyone. As is my custom, if the food tastes good, I give one to the entire kitchen. The reaction here was also very pleasant, actions always speak louder than a thousand words in a kitchen, remember that! Let's get to the disadvantages, the toilet and the way there was interesting, either to the technology and supply room, or to the toilet, the door was wide open which just doesn't look good, it was definitely used for additional ventilation in the kitchen since the machines that work there are cooling need it Unfortunately, the toilet (men's) was visually very used (but it was also in the middle of the main shop) there was a lot lying around and soap and the tap itself had to be operated by hand, which is never good from a hygienic point of view. It was very good that there were towels that you could tear off yourself, great, no electricity and I didn't have to use this disgusting hand blowing device (own opinion, it doesn't help anyway). There was also no way for wheelchair users to get down (I couldn't see where). the reason for a max star) All in all very satisfied and can only recommend it. I'll definitely come more often.

Found this restaurant by chance while passing through and tried it out. So far everything tasted very good and our special requests were also taken into account. We had a time pressure of 2 hours. The only thing that was negative was the half duck, which had an unappetizing smell. However, the situation was dealt with immediately and a replacement meal arrived within a very short time. Overall we really enjoyed the evening. We'll be happy to come back if we come by again

Pizza Frutti de Mare was 100%. Unfortunately, the smell in the restaurant is very unpleasant when someone orders something with Gorgonzola. A criticism of the pensioners one table away would be that you don't always have to immediately complain about little things just because you no longer have teeth and then order a steak. It's your own fault (go to hell).

Our visit to the Al Porto restaurant in Rostock on Boxing Day was a wonderful experience. The ambience of the restaurant is simply enchanting - stylish and inviting, perfect for a celebratory occasion. The service was exceptionally good. The staff was attentive, friendly and very professional, which made our visit even more enjoyable. It was clearly noticeable that great value is placed on hospitality here. The food was an absolute highlight. The halibut was excellently prepared, tender and tasty and the side dishes harmonized perfectly. The dessert was also a delight - not only a visual highlight, but also a hit in terms of taste. All in all, our Christmas dinner at Al Porto was a thoroughly successful experience. We can highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to our next visit.

The restaurant is nicely decorated, just a little too crowded for my taste. It feels oppressive and since it was full, the volume was appropriate. I was very disappointed with the meal. The meat was gristly, the noodles were still hard and the sauce was also off. I was really unlucky with my choice of food. My friends liked it, but unfortunately my food and that of my wife didn't. There won't be a repeat. Too bad.

Ambiance and service At first glance, Al Porto impresses with its inviting ambience. The stylish furnishings and warm lighting make you immediately feel at home. The friendly welcome from the staff rounded off the first positive impression. The service was always attentive and courteous throughout my stay. One small point of criticism, however, is that the empty plates were often left on the table longer than desirable before they were cleared away. The overall experience could be improved by faster table maintenance. Starters and bread Dinner started with freshly served bread, which tasted very good and was a positive start. This was followed by a bruschetta that tasted excellent. The fresh tomatoes and the fine spices harmonized perfectly. Unfortunately, the bread was a little too hard, which made eating the bruschetta a little difficult. With a softer texture, this appetizer had the potential to be a standout. Main courses For the main course, I chose the Pizza Diavolo and the Seafood Tagliatelle to test a wide range of the menu. 1. Pizza Diavolo: The Diavolo pizza was well prepared and tasted decent. The dough was crispy and the toppings were well distributed. However, I have to say that the pizza didn't offer anything exceptional. It lived up to expectations, but lacked that certain something that would set it apart from other pizzas. 2. Seafood Tagliatelle: The tagliatelle was tasty and the seafood was fresh. However, one unfortunate point was that some of the mussels were sandy, which marred the dining experience. This detail could easily be avoided and would greatly increase the quality of the dish. Conclusion Al Porto is undoubtedly a charming restaurant with friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere. The food is good, but there are some minor details that could be improved to optimize the overall experience. The bruschetta could be improved by roasting for a shorter period of time and the attention when clearing the plates should be improved. The Diavolo pizza and seafood tagliatelle are solid dishes, but both dishes would benefit from a little tweaking.

Hit återvänder vi gärna - måste förboka till denna Italienska uppenbarelse Al Porto i Rostock är en Italiensk uppenbarelse. En av de bästa italienska vi besökt under decennier i många länder. Vi hade tur – fick sista bokningen för kvällen och fint bord, god service och härlig stämning. Familjer, företag och turister – allt i en skön blandning. Så fantastisk meny med nästan för många goda rätter. Synd att det finns en botten för magen. Fastnade för Vitellon Tonnata först och sedan helt fantastisk Ravioli med Hummer och till sist klassisk Tiramisu som härlig avslutning. Inte så ofta jag rundar räkningen uppåt med generositet. Hit vill vi gärna återvända men allt var redan fullbokat resten av vår vistelse.

It's an upscale restaurant that we hadn't considered before. Since we prefer “simple” cuisine, the selection was quite limited for us - I had pasta with a garlic-Parmesan sauce with chicken and peas. It only tasted like garlic. Unfortunately, that really wasn't nice anymore. My child had a children's salami pizza. It was ok but not amazing. The service was even better.

The food is okay but it doesn't blow you away either. My pizza tasted quite bland. The tiramisu, on the other hand, was delicious. The boss sits in the restaurant and does his business there. OK, that's his restaurant. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I had a strange smell in the restaurant. When I went to the very unclean toilet, I knew where the smell was coming from. Unclean, stained tiles at the urinals. The stairs to the toilet and the floor of the toilet were very dirty. Something should be done there.

Whenever we are in Rostock we will definitely come and eat here. So far we have never been disappointed. The portions are generous and tasty, and the waitresses are always very accommodating.

War ok. Essen hat sehr lange gedauert und war super fettig (was dieses gericht definitivnicht dein sollte). Dann wurde mein Essen auch noch weg geworfen anstatt einzupacken. Sehr schade ein voller teller ist im Müll gelandet. Da frage ich mich ob es für die Küche normal ist einen vollen Teller weg zu werfen. War leider sehr enttäuscht gestern Abend. Und voraussichtlich ist das auch erstmal mein letzter Besuch. Die Qualität ist meiner Meinung konstant am sinken ist. Schafe schade. Vor einem Jahr war es wesentlich besser. (Bin mindestens alle 3monate im al porto gewesen) Trotz allem war die Bedienung wenigstens sehr freundlich. Wenigstens war die Vorspeise (Tomatensuppe) lecker!

Waited longer for the bill at the end than for the food. The ambience is typical of system catering and offers no charm due to the volume. The food was cold on the outside and piping hot on the inside, it had obviously been warmed in the microwave. The sauce (both Bolognese and salmon/lobster) had a very bland taste and apparently wasn't seasoned. The prices are disproportionate to the quality and the complete lack of culinary sophistication.

The pizza was huge but a bit too dry. The pasta dish worked. Given the prices, I would have expected more in terms of taste and preparation. While we were there, tables were moved around in such a way that we felt harassed. The place is huge, nice but unfortunately not anymore. Price/performance ratio is not appropriate.

More appearance than reality! There are much better Italian restaurants for the money. Tatar was messed up with truffle oil/paste. Pizza from the stone oven, but without any taste, the salami was a bit old, slightly Ratzinger taste, sorry, but that doesn't work at all. Dessert was ok, at least the crème brûlée. There was ready-made ice cream for this, unfortunately of rather cheap quality. And Oreo cookie crumbs all over it. The bosses were constantly counting money at a table, that's not possible! Please always check invoices! We noticed that someone had complained about this when paying. Of course we paid attention then. Ordered a large beer, got a small one, even though a large one was confirmed when ordering and typed in that way. Corrected only when pointed out. There is another Italian restaurant around the corner. Made a better impression from the outside and will try it next time I visit Rostock.

I received a very friendly welcome. The boss made sure that all guests were served very quickly. The atmosphere is very comfortable and the waiters respond to the guests' wishes. The waiters were friendly, but there was a lack of warm contact with the guests. The meal with the zander fillet was very nicely prepared. The side dishes were a bit small for so much fish and the whole dish tasted sober. The taste of Mediterranean vegetables and rosemary potatoes was missing. Was disappointing. Some prices were sometimes very high.

Immer wieder ein Spitzenrestaurant! Hier kommt mein Geheimtipp, weil das Gericht nicht auf der Karte steht (aber im Internet auf der Karte). Also einfach danach fragen. Die Lammkrone ist einzigartig. Außen schön dunkel angeröstet, innen zart und leicht hell rosa. Ich hatte dazu frisch zubereiteten Kartoffelschnee und gut gegarte grüne Bohnen. Außerdem, der Blick von der Terrasse auf die abendliche Warnow mit untergehender Sonne war als Dessert auch nicht zu verachten. Und gabs gar nicht zu meckern? Doch. Es war an einem Mittwoch um 19 Uhr viel zu voll. Na ja, und der Preis. Über 30 Euro.

The portion was generous, fresh and high quality, the cucumber salad was delicious and the crème brûlee with ice cream as dessert was also very high quality. We ate in the restaurant last night after spontaneously reserving a table for 4 people at lunchtime. When we asked to sit by the window, we were seated there and had a beautiful view. The staff (both when making the reservation and during the very tasty dinner) were extremely friendly and accommodating. Not too intrusive and still always available if something was missing. 5/5 stars for a great stay with a nice atmosphere. And definitely a recommendation for everyone.

Restaurant uses top location on the Unterwarnow for slightly overpriced prices that do not reflect the cuisine. Ravioli from the recommendation category was out at 3:30 p.m. on a Saturday!? I've always recommended this place, but I won't do it again. On September 1st we had a sad experience visiting this establishment. We came to celebrate my husband's birthday and were faced with the fact that half the menu was out of stock, we could not choose a single main dish for ourselves and were left with only a few appetizers. There was no whiskey available either. One of the two ladies' restrooms was not working, so we had to wait in line. Inside the establishment, in the corridor and in the toilet it was very dirty, there were scraps of toilet paper everywhere. The service also spoiled the evening; the waiter was not friendly. From the very beginning, we asked whether we would be able to transfer from the summer area if I got cold, but we were refused. An hour and a half before the restaurant closed, they began to remind us that we had to make the last order; in general, all subsequent time was aimed at ensuring that we left the establishment as quickly as possible. I don’t know what has changed in the establishment, the manager, owner or staff, but I no longer want to come.

The times of courtesy and politeness are over here too. The places directly on the water are reserved at a flat rate and can only be occupied upon express request. The service is impersonal and is already busy with the neighboring table when ordering. The food (pizza) in my case was average, but sufficient. “Everything used to be better” definitely applies here.

The pizza was super good. The pasta was good but the carbonara came a little cold. There was a children's menu but the children's portion was basically the same size as the adult menu and tasted great. The food was served by the chef who spoke Italian. Cool! It really FELT like the food was real Italian! The restaurant especially on the inside, and had a nice view of the water. Highly recommend!

After forgetting to order after an hour we finally got the food, everything was fine including 2 free drinks.

The service was very quick, attentive and friendly. My food, however, was subpar. But first things first... A nice place with a view of the city harbor and all the sailing boats. The sun was shining. Best conditions. I was then given a small basket of white bread, a bottle of industrially produced olive oil and a battered plastic bottle of "balsamic vinegar". I wasn't quite sure what to do with it. So I asked. I was supposed to take the plate that had the cutlery on it and pour oil on it. Then I could put the bread in it. Well... I've experienced it differently. Usually some herbs or garlic butter or olives are served with it. It gave the impression that I was in a snack bar. There are several pasta dishes on the menu, divided into two sections. One of them was "fresh" pasta. I assume that the pasta is freshly made in-house... at an Italian restaurant. I then asked again whether they were homemade. That threw the service a bit off guard. The answer is: yes, we'll do it ourselves... finish it. So clearly, they weren't home-made, just home-cooked. I then ordered Tortelloni al Tartufo, truffle filling/butter-sage sauce for €15.90. I definitely didn't taste the truffles, the pasta was way too thick and the sauce was... a nightmare. It was just a mess of flour, far too thick and no trace of sage, no taste. There were small black dots in this flour sauce, possibly it was dried sage, but I couldn't taste it. It was just gross. In an Italian restaurant in the summer, I naturally expect fresh sage and if the menu says "butter-sage sauce", then I also expect butter with sage, not this flour mush. To make matters worse, the bill then showed €19.00 instead of €15.90. It seems to me that the chef and the owner have long since lost interest in cooking, a passion, and good food. Too bad I definitely won't eat there again.

Great location but very bad food. We were a group of 6 people. After ordering, 5 slices of bread arrived with a bottle of olive oil. Okay, not that bad. The Wienerschnitzel was dry and tough. The duck liver was completely overcooked, the salmon was served with frozen spinach and was also very dry. I had a salad M&M that was drowned in a slimy, weird tasting dressing. All the food was returned only half or almost untouched. We kindly pointed this out to the waiter but were only offered an espresso as compensation. Together we paid almost €230 and went home hungry. This was holiday rip-off at a high level.

Food is good, although the ice cream is average at best. The service is rather overwhelmed. Either we were forgotten or we were not even noticed. Emergency solution in our case was to hold the waiter. The ambience is very nice, from the terrace there is a nice view of the Rostock city center.

Food was very good in terms of quality. Unfortunately the price and quantity weren't right at all. The plate doesn't have to overflow. But you should be able to get enough. Lt. My wife would have liked to have repaired one or two places in the women's toilet. Complaining at a high level? Anyone who asks for top prices simply has to offer more than the others. Just the location on the water isn't enough. We won't be coming back.

I highly recommend visiting and tasting the dishes in this restaurant. The dishes are of a really high standard and made with passion. My wife and I ate chanterelle soup and tomato cream, they were delicious. For the second one, we took Diablo salami and 4 cheese pizza, but my wife wasn't entirely sure about Blue cheese, but it turned out to be delicious.

We went here for ice cream. The ambience surprised us. We were satisfied with the service.

As enthusiastic connoisseurs and lovers of fine cuisine, we came especially from Lübeck to visit the Alporto. From everything we had heard, our expectations were high and I am pleased to say that they were not only met but far exceeded. Our visit to Alporto was a completely successful experience. The combination of excellent food, excellent service and beautiful ambience made our evening unforgettable. It was definitely worth traveling all the way from Lübeck and we are already looking forward to our next visit. For anyone looking for a special culinary experience, Alporto is highly recommended. 5 out of 5 stars – a true pearl of gastronomy!

The restaurant is in a beautiful location, especially in the summer evenings. You can sit on the terrace and look at the water and watch the sun go down. But unfortunately the food and service weren't that perfect. I had black tagliatelle with seafood for 19 euros. I had eaten it here once before about 3 months ago. I was very happy there, but yesterday it was really bad. The noodles were hard and it wasn't real seafood. Instead I found cheap surimi on the plate that fell apart. At first I didn't even know what it was. It could also have been pieces of tagliatelle that accidentally ended up in the food. In general I didn't have the feeling that it was freshly prepared. The staff, on the other hand, was very nice, even if the glasses at our table were often empty for a long time and we had the feeling that we had been forgotten. Nevertheless, the waiters were all nice. I left this restaurant disappointed because the price-performance ratio was absolutely NOT right.
