We were able to get a seat for two adults and three children without a reservation. Everything was wonderful! The food was simply perfect. Thank you again :)

Fresh products and good quality of the preparations are the characteristics that characterize il Tartufo for me. Although the cuisine has been somewhat adapted to German tastes, some of the authentic flavors are lost. The wine list contains some interesting wines in various price ranges. The friendly service made it complete. A restaurant that is well worth a detour.

Went here for dinner at 6pm on a Saturday evening. Had booked a table in advance. Were warmly welcomed. Table was assigned straight away. The staff does a great job here. Nice and accommodating. Drinks and food were consumed quickly. The drinks came quickly. Even though the restaurant was very full, we got our food after about 20 minutes. The food tasted great and was of very good quality. Price performance is great. If we are in Cologne again we will go here again.

Schade, bei den Preisen und Bewertungen habe ich mir mehr versprochen. Wir saßen mit 6 Personen an einem Tisch, wo man normalerweise zu viert gut sitzt. Total eng, so dass man nur eingeschränkt mit Messer und Gabel essen konnte. Der Service war total hektisch. Als Vorspeise Bruschetta war für über 8 € eine Frechheit. 3 kleine Brotscheiben mit jeweils 2 Scheiben Tomaten, die wenig gewürzt waren. Die Trüffelpasta war o.k., die rote-Beete Pasta hatte nur eine rote Farbe, schmeckten aber ansonsten sehr fad. Die Pizza war o.k., wenn gleich an einigen Stellen schwarz. Bezahlen sollten wir dann direkt an der Kasse. Da standen aber schon 5 Personen und der Laden ist sehr klein, so dass wir dem Servicepersonal im Weg standen und von diesen auch noch blöde Sprüche bekamen. Wenn man pro Person im Schnitt 40€ ausgibt, erwarte ich mehr.

It's a shame, I expected more given the prices and reviews. There were 6 of us sitting at a table where four people normally sit comfortably. Totally narrow, so you could only eat with a knife and fork. The service was totally hectic. Bruschetta as a starter was a disgrace for over €8. 3 small slices of bread each with 2 slices of tomatoes that were lightly seasoned. The truffle pasta was ok, the beetroot pasta was only red in color, but otherwise tasted very bland. The pizza was ok, although black in some places. We should then pay directly at the checkout. But there were already 5 people standing there and the shop is very small, so we were in the way of the service staff and they also said stupid things to them. If you spend an average of €40 per person, I expect more.

The 'Tartufo, was suggested to us by some local people, good location in the center of the city; as soon as we were seated (3-pax) the manager approached the table with a greeting and a truly friendly attitude, reassuring us for our desire to taste pasta with fresh truffles etc. we must confirm the excellent choice for the linguine with truffles, EXCEPTIONAL and for the tagliolini always with truffles... etc. thanks to Rino and all the staff...congratulations Price appropriate to the quality and service

We ate there before a concert and were a little late. The food came very quickly, the staff was super friendly and accommodating. Price/performance was very good.

Why there is such an extremely high rating here is completely incomprehensible to me after 2 visits. The atmosphere takes a lot of getting used to. The pizza oven is in the front area and it's almost unbearably warm everywhere. In addition, all the tables are placed very close together, which makes it loud. The tagliatelle with truffles we ordered were okay, but nothing exceptional for 25 euros. The 2nd order was saltimbocca with tagliatelle (no oil or garlic please), vegetables and an extra side salad without onions. After less than 5 minutes (!!!) I received saltimbocca (aha), spaghetti with oil and garlic, no vegetables and a side salad with onions. So it was all wrong. The waiter blamed the chef. I said there was no need to throw away the meat, he should just bring the other side dishes. At some point 3 parts of “market vegetables” arrived, then nothing for a while. Finally the tagliatelle arrived. And they were back in oil and garlic. I gave it back, now a little annoyed, and said that the kitchen doesn't have to redo it now. The side salad is a disgrace for an incredible 6.90 euros. A small bowl of regular lettuce drowned in oil. The tiramisu the day before was okay, but at a funny 10 euros it wasn't a bargain either. When paying, the waiter generously commented that he had canceled the pasta. When I replied that I hadn't received one, he didn't have anything to add. We were offered a grappa for the side dishes we had paid for but not received (actually there would have been potatoes) and for using garlic and onions despite our intolerance. Very weak!

One pizza, one Lasagne, two cups of coffee, one beer, and one glass of apple sparkling water, a total of 50€ The store's service is very good, but reservations may be required. At that time, the seats in the store were full, so we sat down to eat at a table outside the store.

The decorations on this place look very classic and fashionable! It looked very welcoming and the staff is very kind with suggestions and everything. The food tasted extraordinary and I could taste the Italian ways in them!

Excellent restaurant outside the city center. I went with my wife and 2 children and we ordered a 4 cheese pizza that was excellent, a very good truffle pasta and a carbonara that was just okay. I strongly recommend booking.

Criticism and praise Please read everything We were served by an attentive lady who immediately recognized my displeasure with the seat allocation and assigned us a new one. She was friendly and accommodating, unfortunately she finished her work after we got the main course. Even here she said goodbye to us. I didn't manage to give her the tip she deserved. From here, everything changed. The head waiter, a gentleman with glasses, left us alone, he didn't care that the glasses were empty and there was no trace of friendliness. When we asked for desserts, we received the menu after about 40 minutes. No, the restaurant was only 1/3 full. Even the pastry chef gave us a recommendation. Maybe he just had a bad day, but my feeling tells me it's his nature. This not only brings down the mood, but also the good feeling when you come in. Would have given 5/5. Thanks to everyone who enjoys working in service.

Very good food with very friendly service. Best pasta I've had here in years, the calamari carpaccio also highly recommended. Small point of criticism, the heating was much too high, so it really felt like a sauna inside. That's why the 4 stars for service.

Authentic Italian restaurant with amazing pasta dishes

The food is really good. I ate the best original spaghetti carbonara (guanciale, egg, pepper and pecorino) I've ever had there. The pasta was perfectly al dente and the sauce was fantastic. My wife had a pizza frutti di mare which was also wonderful. We had two starters: Grilled vegetables and squid in a serving pan. Both super tasty. The two of us paid around 84 euros for drinks, which is absolutely reasonable and fair. We've been there 1-2 times before and have never been disappointed. There is also a large selection of vegetarian dishes. You should make a reservation, currently this is only possible by phone. You can pay in cash or by card (for me it was VISA).

A little over rated. I took a pasta on suggestion (with calamari, gambas, octopus in a spicy tomato sauce with red onions and garlic). It was a little disapointing : Mini calamari, not fresh normal size calamari , octopus was 2 or 3 mini octopus that they put normaly in pizza (I was expected real sliced octopus tentacle pieces), and no gambas at all. They forgot. I told to the server about the gambas missing in my plate. He was very kind and sent my plate to the kitchen. 3 minuts after, a new hot plate. But still disapointing as the gambas was only very small prawn cut in small pieces. Well.. for a suggestion pasta at 25 euros, I was expecting better. + it's a very noisy place. The pizzaiolo is very nervous. Everyone is very nervous there.

A beautiful, well-attended restaurant that impresses in every respect. The service is fast and, despite the hustle and bustle in the packed restaurant, always extremely friendly and prevents any unnecessary waiting, and the food is to die for. There are many good Italians, but the quality on offer here is absolutely outstanding. We haven't eaten so well in a long time.

Overall, it is a satisfactory place. The staff are also very friendly. Of course Italian is the best However, there are some disappointments such as cigarette smoke coming in.

The pizza was really delicious. Unfortunately, the salad was a bit small. Without a reservation, you have no chance of getting a seat, so get there early. If you're looking for good pizza, you can't go wrong with this restaurant.

The food itself was okay. However, with Bruscetta, simply putting 2 giant tomato slices on the bread is far too little for 8 euros. 8 euros for a bottle of water is also too much. But that's just my opinion. My dining neighbor's pizza wasn't easy to cut either, only when I asked for better knives?

Excellent Italian restaurant a little outside the center with staff who enslaved us with their kindness! Warm atmosphere and spotless environment. All the dishes satisfied us to the utmost! The salad with Wildkräuter cool and delicious. The pasta is hearty and well cooked. We singled out the spaghetti with mushrooms and the special seafood dish. Finally, the tiramisu was the highlight, since it was one of the best I've ever eaten! Fresh, light and not too sweet! We were excited!

I just find serving the carpaccio on a wooden plate a bit unhygienic. The Rosato from the open wines was also good. The service was also very friendly. Nice restaurant in Cologne, attractive, beautifully decorated, friendly and decent price/quality. - The starter "brucceta and carpaccio di manzo" was not very good, we were rather disappointed with these dishes. Have had better in other Italian restaurants. - The main course, on the other hand, was excellent and top notch! (Lamb and Argentinian steak) - The dessert "tiramisu" perfect! Conclusion, after the starter my confidence dropped, but in the end, with everything else, this restaurant was definitely worth a visit. Nice experience and all in all a delicious meal.

Very tasty food and friendly conditions. The pizza is large and comes from a stone oven.

The staff were incredibly kind, and the food was delicious. I had my dog with me and they immediately welcomed us and got him a water bowl. If we ever return to Koln we will definitely come back as the hospitality was unmatched. Something that is hard to come by in a big city, and definitely wasn't always the case with some of the restaurants we visited here.

I have to honestly admit that I was so disappointed with this restaurant. We had a reservation and were greeted very unfriendly by a man with glasses. Our order arrived less than 5 minutes after placing it. We hadn't really thought about it until some of our noodles arrived cold and others hot. Was the pasta heated up in the microwave? Which in itself wouldn't have been a problem if the costs had been adjusted accordingly. The garlic tomato sauce pasta cost €13 and the truffle pasta, which also arrived lukewarm, cost €25. In total, including dessert, we left €65. I will never go to this restaurant again nor will I recommend it to anyone, save yourself the money. But the atmosphere is nice

The food was amazing! We ordered the pistachio burrata spaghetti and their special truffle pizza—both were delicious. The portions are generous, and the service was great. The only downside is that the space downstairs isn’t very appealing.

Although all tables were occupied, the organization was perfect and we were assigned our table within a very short time. They even apologized for the really short waiting time. That really wasn't necessary and it still says a lot. The entire team worked well together and was very friendly. Food and drinks were served attractively and quickly. The best Italian restaurant in Cologne, a very large selection of pasta and pizza, they even have very tasty steaks. The Argentine steak with truffle and vegetables was very tasty, I recommend the stufalama dish. Very friendly, kind staff, if you need help, they can explain it to you in many languages. Super 👍🏻

I think this Italian restaurant is the best in Cologne. My girlfriend was very satisfied with the truffle paste and I was more enthusiastic about the scampi pasta. The il tartufo is a real recommendation. Four of us recently ate here and we were all very satisfied. In addition to the nice atmosphere, the very friendly and competent service, the dishes we ordered were all excellent. We had the pasta with truffle, spaghetti bolognese and as a starter the tartufo platter. Be sure to reserve a table; getting something spontaneously is difficult. We'll see you soon and thank you again.

I was there again yesterday with my friends. An employee recommended a Pasta Tagliatelle Tartufo, Pizze Case, il Tartufo and Pizza Buffalo. I tried truffles for the first time in my life and it was delicious ☺️😋 Thank you.

Very warm welcome, almost family-like. Food really tasty and absolutely fresh: pizza, lasagna, saltimbocca alla Romana and tiramisu. Open wines also 0.1l = rare. Very attentive service without intrusiveness, prices reasonable. Reservation recommended. We would come back regularly if we lived in/near Cologne.
