It was just perfect, everyone who works there is super friendly and every wish is fulfilled. And the chefs etc. didn't disappoint us either. Our celebration was very successful. Highly recommended. 👍🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you for a beautiful experience An absolutely fantastic dining experience! From the moment we walked in, we felt warmly welcomed and well looked after. The ambiance was beautiful, creating the perfect setting for an authentic Italian meal. The food was bursting with flavor—every dish tasted fresh and expertly prepared. I loved my vegetarian starter, and my husband’s meat starter plate was perfectly curated. The red wine selection was gorgeous, complementing our meal beautifully. The chef made a delicious steak for my Husbands pasta dish too. And to top it all off, the tiramisu was simply superb! A truly memorable evening—we can’t wait to return!

Il Secondo hits a sweet spot for me in many ways. The service staff takes excellent care of the guests without being intrusive. The food is very tasty and the portions are just the right size for me. The restaurant's seating is not too crowded, so you have plenty of space, but you still don't feel lost. As a result, the volume is very pleasant and at the same time not too quiet, so you can have a good conversation. All in all a great shop where we've had some lovely meals. Highly recommended.

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, but the food quality is poor. The drinks are overpriced. A low-quality appetizer priced at €36 left all eight members of our group dissatisfied. While the service is good, the price and quality of the food and drinks left our entire group unhappy.

Exceptionally good (Sardinian) cuisine, good opportunity to sit outside in the sun

Hungry, spontaneous, late on a Thursday evening, we get a beautiful table with a view of the kitchen. The food tastes excellent, the service is courteous and warm. The kitchen impresses with down-to-earth, home-made dishes, including the now rare Strangolapreti this evening. And finally, the chef personally serves the original Sardinian dessert. It was a wonderful evening all around. We sat right next to the kitchen and were wonderfully served and spoiled with culinary delights. The kitchen team went above and beyond and completely responded to our wishes and even conjured up something that wasn't on the current, seasonal menu. The three of us were here on a Saturday evening and got a nice table at fairly short notice after making a reservation by phone. Right at the beginning there was bread and olives, a nice gesture from the house. We were served very attentively, had good wine advice and the food was excellent. At the end we got an Averna on the house, we were more than satisfied and would be happy to come back on another visit to Berlin.

What a service with conviction. No wonder given the quality of the menu. Super nice evening in a great atmosphere. With the huge selection of Italian restaurants, this is certainly something special. Thank you and we'll be back.

Nice little Italian, very friendly staff

We were there for the second time while visiting Berlin and were not disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was very attentive. Everything was freshly prepared and special requests were also very happy to be accommodated. The highlight was the dessert. It was prepared with a lot of love. We would be happy to come back next time.

I had the best minestrone soup ever! Friendly service, fresh and delicious food. I have just had the soup, but I suspect many other things on the menu will be yummy. Even the bread on the side was amazing.

Vacation in Italy whenever you want? This is possible at Il Secondo at Windscheidstrasse 24 on Stuttgarter Platz! Vincenzo (among others) cooks here, who has also been successful in other ways and who some fans even follow. There are the finest Sardinian specialties that you didn't even know existed! The atmosphere is warm, friendly, cozy, authentic... guests feel comfortable and welcome. Price/performance is right. And when Vincenzo fulfills your special culinary wishes - then you are just happy and want to come back soon.

We went there today and it was wonderful! The staff is extremely friendly and professional. Smiling and attentive to your desires. I ordered pasta and my friend ordered entrecôte. The food came fast despite the restaurant was busy and it was excellent and tasty. We will definitely come back!

Meine Bitte nach einem der mindestens 6 freien Plätze unter der Markise wurde abschlägig beschieden. eine Alternative im Inneren des Lokals nicht angeboten. Nur kurzzeitig etwas Schatten durch vorbeiziehende Wolken, ansonsten pralle Junisonne auf dem Gesicht. Statt kleinem Sprudel kam stilles Wasser. Die 2 Gläser Chardonnay waren ok. Die Antipasti waren unangekündigt ein Contorno, Gemüse aus der Pfanne mit minimal Pecorino, nicht das, was man in der italienischen Küche unter einem Antipasto (für über 16,-€) versteht, Materialeinsatz wohl unter 2,-€. Ob die 2 kleinen Stücke Brot reichen wurde nicht gefragt. Auch für eventuelle weitere Gerichte oder einen Wechsel aus der inzwischen brennenden Sonne interessierte sich niemand. Beim Zahlen der ca. 35,-€ beim Kollegen kein Verständnis für meinen Unmut. Beim Weggehen ein "Auf Wiedersehen Amigo"?? Sind wir Freunde? Auf diese Weise werden wir es in diesem Leben wohl nicht. JF

We had dinner and first had the mixed appetizer platter with caponata, cheese, some salad and lots of mushrooms and grilled vegetables. Delicious! For mains we had the grilled fish platter which was really great. The fish was very juicy and cooked to perfection. The second dish was Sardinian gnocchi with Sardinian sausage in tomato sauce. Also very solid.

Everything was great and lives up to its stars.

Short stay in Berlin, asked at Hotel where you could eat well, il Secondo was the answer. There were three of us and we had not made a reservation (we recommend next time). We waited 15 minutes and were assigned a table. The food was excellent. The service is great (can only give 5 stars, but they are definitely worth 10). Next time we will go to il Secondo again. Chapeau for this restaurant.

On my first visit I ate pasta which was very good. On the second visit I had pizza with my friend and we both didn't like it. It's a shame

Sehr aufmerksames, kinderfreundliches Personal. Wir waren am Wochenende mit unseren zwei Töchtern bei euch essen. An einem sehr schönen Tisch am Fenster wurden wir zuvorkommend bedient, auch auf die vielen Extrawünsche unserer kleinen wurde geduldig eingegangen. Das Essen war super lecker und sehr reichhaltig, schon ein wenig zuviel wenn man noch ein Dessert im Auge hat. Ein sehr faires Preis- Leistungsverhältnis. Für diesen Service und das leckere Essen vergeben wir gerne 5 Sterne und kommen bei unserem nächsten Berlin Urlaub mit Sicherheit wieder. A great restaurant, we have never been disappointed here. Authentic cuisine, great dishes (the changing, seasonal offerings are also impressive). The staff is always friendly and attentive. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and there is enough space between the tables. The terrace is also always beautifully decorated. A real enrichment in the neighborhood! The only drawback is the music: the same Italian hits from the 80s are always played - a bit of variety would be really nice.

Wir haben hier sehr gut gegessen, müssen aber sagen, dass die Preise für ein normales italienisches Restaurant doch sehr hoch sind. Das hier ist kein Sterne-Restaurant, das ist ein guter, ordentlicher Italiener. Mit gutem bis sehr gutem Service, Bravo! Die Orecchiette mit Fisch waren fein, aber eintönig beige in beige dekoriert (19,90 Euro). Sehr ambitioniert ist auch der Preis für die Pizza Parma (16,50) und für die Dessert-Variation (14,50). Lieber Wirt, wir Gäste lassen das Geld nicht auf den Bäumen wachsen und bitten um Realitätsnähe. Die Bundesregierung hat euch Gastronomen in der Corona-Zeit die Mehrwertsteuer reduziert und jetzt wieder auf den alten Satz zurückgeführt. Ihr habt nichts verloren. Anderen Branchen ist man nicht so entgegengekommen. Bezahlt haben die Differenz wir Steuerzahler, und ihr müsst uns jetzt nicht zusätzlich ausnehmen. Ist das angekommen? Danke.

Unfortunately, I cannot fully share the very good reviews, at least with regard to the food. The service was very good and the ambience was good. The house wine was fine. Unfortunately, the food wasn't that good: the mixed salad for 9 euros was a clear plate that essentially consisted of iceberg lettuce floating in a run-of-the-mill supermarket dressing. I would expect something different from an Italian restaurant. The lasagna for just under 14 euros was a tragedy. No béchamel sauce in the lasagna (ok, you can do that) and a tomato sauce that consisted of canned tomatoes that was poured over the lasagna and then placed in the oven and heated in the beautiful clay pot. It just tastes like warm canned tomatoes and nothing else. The only positive thing: at least there was no attempt to cover up the lack of taste with huge amounts of cheese. I would describe the other dishes as OK, but only average in relation to the price. It's kind of a shame because the restaurant and the people were very nice. Maybe the chef changed or just had a bad day.

Hier wurden wir noch nie enttäuscht. Die Speisen sind lecker - sowohl Fleischgerichte als auch Pasta und Pizzen sind zu empfehlen. Sie haben auch immer eine saisonale Karte, die abwechslungsreich ist. Die Speisekarte hat eine sehr gute Auswahl - völlig angemessen für ein normales Restaurant, und alles wird frisch zubereitet. Das Personal ist immer absolut nett und hilfsbereit.

Sardische Küche auf perfektem Niveau! Super Service, sehr sardischer "Patron", guter Wein und faire Preise! Was will man mehr?

So eine herzliche Bedienung und so ein leckeres Essen gibt es dort. Selbst die Berliner begegnen einen so nett. Da das Wetter passte, war das draußen sitzen herrlich angenehm. Wer gerne Fisch ist, sollte doch mal gegrillten Thunfisch mit Fenchelgemüse probieren. Dazu einen schmackhaften Wein genießen und der Abend ist gerettet.🍷

Service hier ist einfach genial. Alle sind so freundlich. Pino ist der beste Mann. Essen dazu noch fantastisch und Preise sehr fair für die Qualität. Einziges Problem: Jahre lang sind wir hier vorbeigekommen ohne reinzuschauen!

Wir gehen regelmäßig zu Il Secondo - und es ist immer wieder ein Genuss! Alle Pastasorten werden selbstgemacht, die Pizza ist großartig, Meeresfrüchte-Fans kommen hier auf ihre Kosten und Gerichte mit Fisch oder Fleisch sind ebenfalls sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir kamen spät, wurden dennoch freundlich und zuvorkommend bedient. Das Essen (Nudeln mit Pfifferlingen und Speck) war hervorragend. Noch eine gute Flasche Wein dazu, schon war der Abend trotz vorgerückter Stunde perfekt. Vielen Dank! Kommen beim nächsten Besuch in Berlin wieder vorbei.
