Highly recommended! Great service and delicious food! If it weren't so far away, this would be our regular Italian restaurant.

We were here with a large group for a birthday celebration. The welcome was warm, and we were offered a robust Primitivo with the appetizers upon request – a great start. After the appetizers, we ordered a variety of dishes: pizzas, pasta frutti di mare... Everything was delicious. The only exception was that the appetizers were a bit too salty. A question for the chef: in love? 😉 The atmosphere was relaxed, the service warm and attentive, and the ambiance pleasant. We felt very comfortable. The icing on the cake would have been if someone had returned my jacket at the end. As it was, I had to search for it.

We ordered food today for just under €75, and I have to say that the main courses were okay, and the lamb was actually quite good. However, the starter plate was completely outdated and relatively inedible. For this reason, we're far from giving it a 5-star rating.

Good pizza, good pasta! The house wine is very tasty! Lovely atmosphere and stuff. Definitely recommend it!

Delicious lunch and excellent service on the Saturday before the Berlin Marathon. We had a late lunch on the terrace under a bright blue sky. The service was courteous, friendly, and personable. The food was very, very tasty: fennel salad and ravioli with a delicious dressing and sauce. My child had Bambino pasta, top-notch. An all-around lovely and relaxing experience at your restaurant. If we lived in Berlin, il Secondo would probably be our regular. Thank you for your hospitality!

A very popular restaurant—we were lucky enough to get a seat even without a reservation. The service was excellent: friendly advice and very fast service. Great ambiance: The location is quiet, yet still in the center of the action, as there are many other restaurants and cafés on the same street. The food was an absolute highlight: I was particularly impressed by the tagliatelle with ossobuco (very tender braised meat) in a tomato and vegetable sauce—one of the best dishes I've had in a long time. It was served with chili oil, garlic oil, and freshly grated Parmesan cheese, which perfectly rounded out the dish.

We, a group of five, received a very friendly welcome from the staff. The terrace looked full, but the staff managed to find us a lovely table on the terrace. One person in the group was unsure between two dishes, but with the help of the attentive staff, we were able to make a quick choice. The food was delicious. The tagliatelle dello Chef is highly recommended.

We reserved a table for 6 people here quite spontaneously and couldn't have been happier with our decision. It was an all-around lovely stay, and everything worked out perfectly. Due to the uncertain weather, something had been prepared for us both inside and outside, so we were able to decide spontaneously upon arrival. (Despite the packed house.) We had mixed appetizer platters that left nothing to be desired. The pizza and pasta were also wonderful, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. In addition to the extremely fair prices, we were also very impressed by the good service. We would definitely come back!

Great dining experience. You get some bread and tasty olives from the house. Service is friendly and quick, the food itself is excellent. We enjoyed the Pizza Parma and the Pizza Vegetariana. Compliments to the chef. Will definitely come back here.

This is a genuine Italian restaurant with really good Italian food. The location is fantastic; this neighborhood is special. It has a touch of the former West Berlin, but at the same time is also new, with a very pleasant, diverse clientele. The staff is very attentive and friendly. It's a pleasure to eat here; it makes you want to linger, and the atmosphere is as cozy as you'd hope for, perfect for a quiet conversation. They offer a wide selection of excellent wines. I thoroughly enjoyed the food and can recommend it to anyone. It's easily accessible by public transport via the Charlottenburg S-Bahn station, and the Wilmersdorfer Straße U-Bahn station is also a five-minute walk away. Highly recommended! Don't forget to make a reservation, though.👌🏼🥳

Leider an Unfreundlichkeit und Arroganz der Eigentümer kaum zu übertreffen. Sehr schade, da das Essen wirklich in Ordnung ist.

Unfortunately, the arrogance and unfriendliness are hard to beat. The food is good, but the service and atmosphere are absolutely abysmal. To be told to piss off by the owner – no words. A disgrace for Windscheidstrasse. And I'm writing this as a resident and customer for 10 years.

Es war nicht unser erster Besuch… und wer wiederkommt, war vorher sehr zufrieden. Das hat sich leider nun geändert. Der Grund: Durchgängig herrschte der Eindruck vor, dass es vor allem(!) um die Höhe des Verzehrs ging. Dass diese diesmal offenkundig nicht den Erwartungen entsprach, bekamen wir zu spüren. Wir werden nicht zurückkehren.

Il Secondo hits a sweet spot for me in many ways. The service staff takes excellent care of the guests without being intrusive. The food is very tasty and the portions are just the right size for me. The restaurant's seating is not too crowded, so you have plenty of space, but you still don't feel lost. As a result, the volume is very pleasant and at the same time not too quiet, so you can have a good conversation. All in all a great shop where we've had some lovely meals. Highly recommended.

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, but the food quality is poor. The drinks are overpriced. A low-quality appetizer priced at €36 left all eight members of our group dissatisfied. While the service is good, the price and quality of the food and drinks left our entire group unhappy.

Exceptionally good (Sardinian) cuisine, good opportunity to sit outside in the sun

Hungry, spontaneous, late on a Thursday evening, we get a beautiful table with a view of the kitchen. The food tastes excellent, the service is courteous and warm. The kitchen impresses with down-to-earth, home-made dishes, including the now rare Strangolapreti this evening. And finally, the chef personally serves the original Sardinian dessert. It was a wonderful evening all around. We sat right next to the kitchen and were wonderfully served and spoiled with culinary delights. The kitchen team went above and beyond and completely responded to our wishes and even conjured up something that wasn't on the current, seasonal menu. The three of us were here on a Saturday evening and got a nice table at fairly short notice after making a reservation by phone. Right at the beginning there was bread and olives, a nice gesture from the house. We were served very attentively, had good wine advice and the food was excellent. At the end we got an Averna on the house, we were more than satisfied and would be happy to come back on another visit to Berlin.

What a service with conviction. No wonder given the quality of the menu. Super nice evening in a great atmosphere. With the huge selection of Italian restaurants, this is certainly something special. Thank you and we'll be back.

Nice little Italian, very friendly staff

We were there for the second time while visiting Berlin and were not disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was very attentive. Everything was freshly prepared and special requests were also very happy to be accommodated. The highlight was the dessert. It was prepared with a lot of love. Vacation in Italy whenever you want? This is possible at Il Secondo at Windscheidstrasse 24 on Stuttgarter Platz! Vincenzo (among others) cooks here, who has also been successful in other ways and who some fans even follow. There are the finest Sardinian specialties that you didn't even know existed! The atmosphere is warm, friendly, cozy, authentic... guests feel comfortable and welcome. Price/performance is right. And when Vincenzo fulfills your special culinary wishes - then you are just happy and want to come back soon.

Meine Bitte nach einem der mindestens 6 freien Plätze unter der Markise wurde abschlägig beschieden. eine Alternative im Inneren des Lokals nicht angeboten. Nur kurzzeitig etwas Schatten durch vorbeiziehende Wolken, ansonsten pralle Junisonne auf dem Gesicht. Statt kleinem Sprudel kam stilles Wasser. Die 2 Gläser Chardonnay waren ok. Die Antipasti waren unangekündigt ein Contorno, Gemüse aus der Pfanne mit minimal Pecorino, nicht das, was man in der italienischen Küche unter einem Antipasto (für über 16,-€) versteht, Materialeinsatz wohl unter 2,-€. Ob die 2 kleinen Stücke Brot reichen wurde nicht gefragt. Auch für eventuelle weitere Gerichte oder einen Wechsel aus der inzwischen brennenden Sonne interessierte sich niemand. Beim Zahlen der ca. 35,-€ beim Kollegen kein Verständnis für meinen Unmut. Beim Weggehen ein "Auf Wiedersehen Amigo"?? Sind wir Freunde? Auf diese Weise werden wir es in diesem Leben wohl nicht. JF

We had dinner and first had the mixed appetizer platter with caponata, cheese, some salad and lots of mushrooms and grilled vegetables. Delicious! For mains we had the grilled fish platter which was really great. The fish was very juicy and cooked to perfection. The second dish was Sardinian gnocchi with Sardinian sausage in tomato sauce. Also very solid.
