Luardi in Berlin

A great Italian restaurant in the heart of Berlin. Very friendly and attentive service, delicious food (we had pizza and salad), and all in a pleasant atmosphere. A must-see!

We came because of the impressive 6,000+ five-star reviews – our expectations were accordingly high. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to those expectations. The taste was simply too "ordinary"; nothing special or outstanding. What really stands out, however, is the service: The staff were super friendly, attentive, and welcoming – high praise for that! Overall, a solid 3 stars.

Italian hospitality, very attentive staff, and incredibly delicious food. No wonder there are long lines at the restaurant. We were lucky and got a table on the spot. We'd definitely come back if we're in the area.

Starter was very big. Nice but big. Ordered pizza but the base was a bit over done. The Tiramasu was a bit too creamy and not alcoholic enough for my tastes. Service was OK but we had to ask for cutlery. We did enjoy a very nice bottle of red though.

Agron served us with great courtesy and thought of everything. 5 stars from us 🫶

The food was good, but the service was lackluster. To be fair, the restaurant was busy. Initially, the three of us were given a table intended for two, despite having a reservation. After complaining, we were given a larger table. Getting a table without a reservation involves a wait.

We always come to Luardi when we're in Berlin. The homemade pasta is outstanding. Service is very attentive and fast. It's worth making a reservation if you don't want to wait in line after 6 p.m.

An authentic Italian restaurant. Very friendly and attentive service. The quality of the food was very good.

It was super busy, so a 30min wait, with not much of a system to deal with, so some queue jumpers succeeded - but, once seated that all melts away, the extensive menu looked great, and what I had was top class. Would wait happily again - but perhaps I will book intead!

Both the food (baby calamari and taglatielle chicken served piping hot) and the service were excellent. The restaurant and terrace are very large but still pleasant. Grappa or limoncello was offered after the meal.

Luardi is my absolute favorite restaurant when I'm craving real Italian cuisine. Everything is fresh, lovingly prepared, and the service is as warm as a friend's. Every time a little piece of Italy in the middle of the city!

We visited for the business lunch, which was priced at €16.50. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and excellent service. However, the pasta carbonara was just average, and I wouldn’t recommend the cannelloni at this location.

Fantastisches Restaurant und super freundliches Personal! Hab hier diese Woche zwei Mal gegessen, einmal mit Arbeitskollegen, eine Gruppe von 13 Leuten, und heute Abend zu zweit, mit einer Freundin. Bin Halbitalienerin und sehr verwöhnt was das Essen anbelangt, bei Luardi hat alles gestimmt! Die „Linguine frutti di mare“ sind der Hammer! Ich vergebe hier gerne 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

So, few years ago I have been in this place. We didn't like it and I left a bad review, but not too bad (come on, 2 stars are not 1). Apparently in Germany businesses can now hire solicitors to ask google to remove reviews they don't like, citing "defamation". I don't think my review had anything to do with defamation. I simply warned other customers to be careful how this place used to treat food allergies, since in our case they did a really poor job. Anyway I leave here my old review in order to keep truck of it. Please remove this one too! "Decent food, but nothing amazing. What irritated me most was the waiter that was smiling while we told him our big order for 8 people with some exceptions. The most important is a severe allergy to nuts we had absolutely to avoid. And he smiled like he understood everything. We said that twice to different waiters, and guess what? They brought the risotto with pesto and peanuts on the side. We risked to run to the hospital that night for the incompetence of somebody."

Super courteous staff, cozy atmosphere and some of the tastiest pasta we've eaten in Berlin so far! We were extremely satisfied and would love to come back!

This was my second or third time at Luardi and again it was great. It started with the extremely friendly welcome and it stayed that way, you are so pampered and looked after. That's also the tiny hint of criticism; sometimes there was a little too much attention. The young woman who served my friend and I constantly stood at the table and asked if everything was okay. Unfortunately, this also interrupted one or two conversations. The food was great, I had asparagus with hollandaise sauce, new potatoes and some kind of roast beef from the lunch menu, my girlfriend had a large portion of asparagus with parsley potatoes and hollandaise sauce. For dessert, the waitress suggested a mixed dessert platter. Everything we ate was a poem, The Luardi is not cheap, we spent €95 including bread, drinks and a cafe for two, including a tip. It was worth every penny!

LUARDI is definitely one of the most charming Italian restaurants. As soon as you enter you are warmly welcomed - the service is attentive, friendly and never seems artificial. You can feel that people work here with passion. The boss himself always has a few good sayings up his sleeve! The menu offers an excellent selection of classic Italian dishes - all freshly prepared, with quality ingredients and incredibly flavorful. Particularly recommended: the homemade pasta dishes and the tiramisu – a poem! The wine list is also well coordinated and rounds off the experience perfectly. The ambience is stylish, cozy and yet lively - perfect for a relaxed evening for two or a nice dinner with friends and family. An absolute insider tip on Meinekestrasse!

We were here in a group of 15 people. Telephone reservations and inquiries the day before were problem-free, but important. A great selection of food and drinks, great service from the crew, pleasant prices. It was a wonderful and harmonious evening. Thanks to everyone involved in front of and behind the scenes!

Without a reservation, a nice place with immediate service and a very familiar atmosphere. The food was very good. But it was already quite full despite the early hour (6 p.m.). Depending on the guests, the tables were placed together optimally or at an acceptable distance. Fast, nice, great food.

We were at the restaurant yesterday before our visit to a musical. It started with the (we think head waiter) greeting us “warmly” and telling us three times that we had to be gone by 7:45 p.m. because the next people would be there. The food was good so far and I can't say anything else. It was a shame that you felt like you were being pushed through here quickly. The bread, which normally comes before the main courses, only came after the first dishes were already on the table. My biggest problem, however, was the toilets. The walk there alone wasn't particularly nice, but the toilets looked like they hadn't been cleaned for a few days. It stank and there was nothing to dry your hands. I had to unroll toilet paper to dry my hands... When we wanted to pay and we asked if the waiter could split the bill, all we got was an annoyed look and an annoyed noise, so we said “come on, don’t do it.” All in all: The food was good, the service and the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities clearly leave a lot to be desired…. Too bad

Very good, but the drinks were overpriced

We had group of 5 adults + 3 children. Arrived at 18:30, restaurant was half busy. They served starters around 1hr in to arrived 2 kids got pizza about 1.5 hrs in while other one did'nt and was upsetting and traumatic for him as only 7yrs old. There was no apologies from staff for waiting. First time in my life we decided as a group to walk out at 2hrs as mains quite simple dishes lasgnes, pizza had not arrived and couple observed next to us had arrived 1hr in and and were served mains within 30mins! I appreciate restaurant was very busy by now, but 2hrs I think is not acceptable anywhere!! Went 10mins to another local restaurant they served everything within 15mins so ended well. Maybe this was exceptional circumstances given the 5star reviews? Our same group had similar experience at L'Oseria in Savignyplatz a few months earlier with almost 2hr wait

The reason why this restaurant has so many 5 stars is because they are asked to review before the payment; and that’s the problem. Service is very nice, delicious pasta, friendly waiter, but at the payment section, hidden charges reveal. 7,9€ for bottle of water that the waiter brought. Can’t either find that price on the menu. If you just detest getting the water, then it would be a wonderful experience.

We arrived late for dinner with 8 people, but this was no problem. We were still able to sit outside with the heaters on.

Unfortunately there were a few problems with one of our orders, a specifically expressed request was nevertheless forgotten and the food was therefore not edible. But: the way it was handled was absolutely exemplary! There was no discussion, but a sincere apology for the mistake. Of course, the food in question was not charged, and there was also a portion of very tasty tiramisu without charge. Overall, a recommendation!

Nice place, food is okay. As an Italian connoisseur: It's good but not 4.8 stars. Service was slow today. On the menu, drinks, starter, forgot a drink, main course and the bill. Waiting over 30 minutes each time. Of course the restaurant is full, so you can't use this waiting time as an excuse for what seems to be the best Italian restaurant in Berlin. When I finally complained the boss called me princess. Well 😀 He repeatedly insulted his employees in front of the customers. Service was simply inadequate today. A simple “sorry” would have been wonderful. You can't close the toilet.

We were here for the first time and we are very excited. The staff is very accommodating and the food was simply to die for. If we are back in Berlin, we will definitely come back!

The best place in Berlin - also feel free to stop by for lunch. Great Italian authentic food and atmosphere. Try their own red wine, a chianti, it is soft and flavorful. Book a table for your own sake, otherwise you will (perhaps) have to stand in line for a while.

Very friendly staff and pleasant surroundings. The carbonara pasta I tasted was delicious. Small downside concerning the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities which is very limited and payment by cash imposed below a certain amount (€30 from memory)
