We attended a dinner show with the DJ Padre Leo, whom we met on Tik Tok. A really fun evening with great food even if the menu was small due to it being sold out. The service was excellent and very kind. The environment is inviting and welcoming. We will happily return for an à la carte dinner. Hallo,seit Jahren hatte ich in Deutschland so einen Restaurant gesucht,tolle Ambiente,nette und kompetente Service. Über das Essen reichen viele Wörter nicht. Das schmeckt genauso wie in Süditalien,vor allem all die frische Zutaten. Alles wird mit viel Liebe und Leidenschaft vorbereitet. Wer genauso toll und lecker wie in Süditalien essen will ist beim Pescatore da Giovanni e Maria genau richtig.

After seeing the videos on tiktok the expectations were very high, unfortunately it was all a disappointment. There were 9 of us, all disappointed. Starters, first courses and second courses all without flavour. It was not possible to pay separately because they made a single bill without first asking if anyone paid with the card or in cash. The response from the venue to my sincere and true comment says everything about this venue...

I discovered this ristorante on TikTok, it offers beautiful food, very stylish, the food tastes very tasty, I can only recommend it.

Food was delicious, nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, the atmosphere on the terrace was anything but nice and there was no tablecloth on the table. No decoration, no glasses, unfortunately a bit too careless. Weeds that grow through the floor tiles are not exactly attractive. It would be nice if you could freshen up the terrace with a few flowers and it would make you feel more comfortable. Otherwise a good fish restaurant.

We were there with some friends, very disappointed ... the much praised portions do not correspond to the videos they post, among other things the flavor unfortunately lacked taste like the gummy calami and dry pasta ... we disguised it with the 'olive oil...but this too is rancid because it is old!!! very disappointing To conclude, they didn't even offer us coffee or a digestive... there were 10 of us...

We have been to this beautiful restaurant on various occasions and were so excited that we also celebrated our wedding here. Mr. Curia discussed the menu with us and gave us great ideas and tips. Was there on Saturday evening with a friend. Simply amazing!! Fish super fresh, had the scallops and the fish carpaccio as a starter, very tasty and beautifully presented. A very authentic typical Calabrese restaurant. Not to be compared with the usual Italian pizzerias. There is no pizza there, but rather delicious dishes that taste just like you know from Calabrian Cariates cuisine. And only those who know this can really judge it. The atmosphere was very well maintained and very clean. The selection is good and the food is served very stylishly and the service is also good. The owners are very responsive to their guests. You feel like you're on vacation every time you come to il pescatore, the ambience is beautiful and very tasteful in a maritime style. Waren hier mit Familie die aus Köln kommt. Wir alle waren sehr begeistert und überrascht, dass dieses Restaurant außerhalb von Stuttgart liegt. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und hat uns sehr gut empfangen. Das Essen war hervorragend. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Freundliche Bedienung und die Küche ist super. Die Grillplatte mit einem ganz Fisch ist sehr empfehlenswert. Die Fischsuppe ist ein MUSS wenn man hier kommt.

Hidden price increase and then complaining about the VAT. It's a shame about the delicious food. Ugh 👎🏼👎🏼

Giovanni C. calculates that instead of the previous €25.00, he now has to increase the price to €29.50 due to the tax rate increase. Now you have to remember that the reduction was intended to be a temporary subsidy for the catering industry. Therefore, a price reduction was not expected at the time. Nevertheless, it was clear from the start that the tax rate would rise again. Of course, prices have also continued to develop since 2020. However, these price increases have already been passed on to customers (at least in part). If you think that the tax rate increase should still be passed on one-to-one, then you should do so honestly. So let's do the math: The previous price of €25.00 included €1.64 VAT (25.00 / 1.07 = net 23.37). Giovanni C. says the new price must therefore be €29.50. If I calculate on the previous net price of €23.37 19% VAT, this results in €4.44, so the new gross price is €27.81. The restaurateur increases his price by an additional €1.69. Based on the new gross price, that's just under 6%. But the tax office is to blame.

First of all: I didn't eat at this restaurant. Nevertheless, I would like to write a review here on behalf of some catering establishments. The trigger is a current Bild article in which it is written that Il Pescatore and other restaurants have to drastically increase their prices due to the changed VAT from 7% to 19%. Scampi now cost €29.50 instead of €25. A price increase of 18%. However, the VAT adjustment should have resulted in a price of €27.30. As a result, the restaurant additionally cheated out a price increase of >8%. That may be justified, but it is a shame to exploit this lack of transparency on the backs of the state. Plus: A VAT rate of 19% applied until 2020. However, prices have increased by ~30% since then. This no longer has anything to do with inflation. Many people here are probably trying to achieve decent increases in earnings through free-rider effects. Not nice! As I said, everyone can set their own prices, but you should have honest communication.

I didn't eat at your place, so I give you full points, but I just saw you on BILD.de and I thought that some innkeepers would do that. You are chefs and apparently not mathematicians... If scampis cost you 25 euros including 7% VAT, then the scampis won't cost 29.50 euros including 19%. That means you can't do math. Be honest and say, we've added something to it... but don't try to make people think they're stupid. At 25 euros (7%) the net amount would be 23.36 euros... these are your costs and now you have to add 19% - then you would be at 27.80 euros and not 29.50 euros... What you did is the following... You took the 25 euros (gross) and added 19% to it and not from the net amount... What you are doing is a lie... be honest... it's okay if you increase it because of increased costs, but don't just blame the tax increase and therefore the state.

Wir waren zum Abendessen im Restaurant il Pescatore, tolle Auswahl an verschiedene Gerichte, die Vorspeise und der Hauptgang sowie das Dessert waren hervorragend, hier gibt es vor Fischgerichte und vieles die man nicht überall erhält zudem war das Personal super freundlich und kompetent. Il locale è molto pulito, le tovaglie e tovaglioli molto profumate e i bagni super puliti. Locale, Servizio e Cucina 10 STELLE. Sehr tolles Restaurant mit sehr netten Personal, und Essen wie im Süden einfach Top, Parppadelle alla Pescatora, wir werden bald wieder kommen. Vielen Dank für diesen schönen Abend.

Mit voller Lust auf Fisch haben wir reserviert und sind ca 40km extra angereist. Angekommen wurden wir freundlich begrüßt und haben zu trinken und zu essen bestellt! Vorspeise war gut Hauptgericht Bandnudeln mit Meeresfrüchten….essen war sehr fade, nicht gesalzen, Tomatensauce schmeckte nicht nach Fisch und leicht verkocht. Gemischte Fischgrillplatte ….Schwertfisch ungenießbar da zu verraucht auf dem Grill, ebenso der grillte Tintenfisch. Als der Kellner, beim abräumen,fragte ob alles ok sei habe ich die Kritik weitergegeben…dann änderte sich alles:-) Wir wollten nochmal was bestellen…wurden aber nicht mehr gefragt….ebenso kein Café….haben die Rechnung bezahlt und 10% Trinkgeld gegeben… Sind nichtmal verabschiedet worden… Kein guter Service und gästebereuung daher nicht zu empfehlen!

Gratulation Maria und Giovanni, wir waren als Gruppe von Freunden bei Ihnen zum Abendessen. Zunächst einmal Dankeschön, dass es keine Parkplatzsorgen gab, direkt vor dem Restaurant genügend freie Parkplätze. Schon der Eingangsbereich verriet dann schon, dass uns an diesem Tag etwas ganz Besonderes erwartete: mit viel Liebe im Detail präsentiert sich der Treppenaufgang zum Restaurant. Das Restaurant selber dann sehr stilvoll und geräumig eingerichtet, ein besonderer Blickfang natürlich die große gebogene Fotowand mit einheimischen Impressionen aus Ihrer Heimatstadt Cariati. Gerne hatte ich mir an diesem Abend mit einem Glas Wein in der Hand die verschiedenen Motive und Eindrücke aus Cariati an der Fotowand angeschaut, weil dies eben etwas Besonderes darstellt: Liebe und Verbundenheit zur Heimat. Die Küche: hervorragend - so bietet das Il Pescatore eine Vielzahl verschiedenster Fischgerichte, die man eben nicht überall erhält, und dies vortrefflich zubereitet. Für Nicht-Fischliebhaber gibt es natürlich auch eine große Palette an Pasta-Gerichten oder auch Fleischvariationen. Den Abend hatten wir dann bei guten Weinen, sehr leckeren Desserts und einem hervorragenden Grappa ausklingen lassen. Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen für denjenigen, der nicht nur die 08/15-Küche sondern auch etwas Besonderes liebt. Es war ein schöner Abend mit sehr gutem Essen. Die Dorade toskanisch war mit einer leckeren Soße angemacht. Jederzeit wieder.

Das Essen war hervorragend. Das Service war auch sehr zuvorkommend. Es bleiben keine Wünsche offen.

ein sehr engagiertes Ehepaar aus Italien, noch nie in Deutschland so guten Fisch gegessen. Der Fisch wird nach calabresischem Hausrezept gemacht, so etwas bekommt man in BW sonst nirgendwo. Phantastisches Ambiente auch! Wenn man etwas Negatives anmerken wollte, dann wäre es nur der Standort (in Schorndorf im Industriegebiet). Wäre dieses Restaurant am Rand einer Großstadt, dann würde es sich vor Gästen nicht mehr retten können und bräuchte wahrscheinlich Türsteher!

Ich habe hier sehr gut gegessen! Alles war sehr frisch und die Portionen haben mich total satt gemacht - ich komme wieder wenn ich in der Nähe bin... 😀👍😍
