KATASTROPHE !! Wir haben eine gefühlte Ewigkeit auf das Essen gewartet....und dann kam eine lauwarme, ungewürzte Spargelsuppe....nach einer weiteren Ewigkeit schlechtes,kaltes Essen. Nie wieder!

When you come into the restaurant it is very open, large and also very beautiful. But eating and drinking really takes a long time even though there isn't that much going on. We've been waiting for food for three quarters of an hour, and then very little comes. For this price it's not that good. The staff looks rather bored and keeps bringing the wrong food to the wrong tables. Overall I would give it 3 out of 5 stars.

I've probably eaten there 7 times in a short space of time. The food is super delicious. The ambience is also great with the outdoor area. The service first class. Anyone who writes something bad here probably always has something to complain about ;)

We discovered this restaurant while passing by and immediately decided to eat there. We didn't regret it, everything was very tasty and beautifully prepared. The ambience of the restaurant leaves nothing to be desired. Unfortunately we were unlucky that it started to rain and we had to move indoors, but that wasn't a problem. All the waitresses and waiters were very attentive and super friendly. If we ever come to Kassel again, we won't even look for another restaurant and will go straight here.

We only drank wine here. The Primitivo was good, the Negroamaro not so much, the bottle was probably open too long. The service staff was very friendly, checked on us every now and then and asked questions. Great!

Terrible service! We arrived an hour before the restaurant closed and asked if we could order and eat. The answer was positive. We were a large group and ordered a lot. I sat there enjoying the evening, the time approaching closing time, but as we were told, "We're working until the last customer." I ate in peace, everyone else in my group had already finished. Then the waitress came and quickly cleared everyone's plates—including mine, which still had half of my meal on it. The entire staff stood there, angrily waiting for us to leave.

Not something special, but a great environment and people enjoy coming here. There are regularly changing monthly menus, which also contain unusual or unusual dishes. It's definitely worth it.

Good evening everyone, I would now like to write a review that I actually wouldn't have thought of. But unfortunately we were totally disappointed today. We had reserved a table for 6:00 p.m. This all worked out perfectly (I made the reservation online). So far everything is fine. Unfortunately, the food didn't go well. In a restaurant like this you should be able to bring all the main dishes together and serve them. Unfortunately that's not the case here. My wife's food came almost 5 minutes earlier than the other dishes! In addition, the food (the potatoes and the vegetables) was only lukewarm. My meal (wild garlic tagliatelle on a pumpkin cream with crabs and truffles) was just good. Cold shrimps were served here, which unfortunately wasn't on the menu. It was a nice combination, but unfortunately it was only prepared half-heartedly; I would have found something warmer much better. Hence this criticism.

There were 7 of us there for dinner. Our waitress was very friendly and our dog was given something to drink straight away. The pizzas were fantastic, but all the pasta dishes were very bland - at least we had to add seasoning to all 5 (which is noticeable). The desserts at the end were finally filling. What I actually don't like in the restaurant is the lighting, it's somehow always dark and the LEDs have a low frequency, meaning if you move too quickly it flickers / there's a strobe effect, which is tiring on the eyes in the long run.

A very well-kept shop with a nice atmosphere and very polite conditions. The food was changed and adapted upon request without any problems.

The Italian restaurant is easily accessible for wheelchair users. The ambience looks very appealing with the stone vaults. The service was very friendly and you didn't have to wait long for the food. I will definitely go there again when I get the chance. :-))

There were 6 of us there today to get something to eat. We called an hour before our visit because we wanted to make a reservation. Unfortunately, no one answered. When we were there, we were asked whether we had reserved. We denied that. At that moment the waiter had a strange reaction and said he would see what he could do. Finally we got a place. From the moment we sat down we felt very unwanted and out of place. The waiter seemed very annoyed from the first moment and was rude to us. When asked whether there were fries here, the answer was: "We are at a good Italian restaurant, there are no fries here". He had announced from the start that the meal might take a while. But the food still came promptly. There were mostly pasta dishes and two pizzas. The noodles could almost be counted on one hand and were almost a guess to get enough of. The pizza wasn't particularly well topped and the cheese had no taste. The dough wasn't special and I've actually had better pizzas served in kebab shops. However, the ambience is very nice and it is a shame that the service and food unfortunately cannot offer the same. This was actually the first time we didn't leave a tip. We ourselves had waiters in our group of visitors and are still grateful for this visit because we saw how you definitely shouldn't treat guests. We can't understand the good reviews and that has something to do with it Good Italians that they are according to the waiter, nothing to do.

Das Ambiente ist toll, vor allem im Sommer wenn man draußen sitzen kann. Wir sind immer gerne hier her gekommen. Leider wird es immer schlechter hier, früher war die Pizza mal toll, heute ist sie so ölig und in der Mitte matschig das man sie echt nicht mehr essen kann, die Salami schmeckte ranzig und der Schinken weich und glitschig, bäh. Das Personal versucht freundlich zu sein, aber bekommt nur ein gequältes Lachen raus. Teuer ist es auch geworden, vor allem wenn man noch ein Glas Wein zur Pizza möchte. Noch reitet das Restaurant auf Ihrem früheren Erfolg, schauen wir mal wie lange das noch geht. Der Gast wird es irgendwann merken und mit Abwesenheit quittieren, so wie wir und viele unsere Bekannten ab jetzt.

I went there with my family for Sunday dinner on my birthday. The place itself is very nice. Unfortunately, I can't write anything good about the food. Apart from Pizza. We waited a long time for the food, even though there were only three tables occupied in the restaurant... The meals were served at different times, so some people ate and others just watched!!! We got carpaccio. frozen!!! the color of the meat was terrible!!! After returning the plate, we received a new Carpaccio and, beware... it was fresh. We also ordered lasagna and 2 pizzas. One was supposed to be with Gorgonzola. We got the pizza and I noticed that it was a margerita and it was supposed to be Gorgonzola. I pointed out to the waiter and he said that it was Gorgonzola 😂 (I guess he didn't know what it was because of course it was margerita) after taking another plate, we got our pizza after a while. Then I ordered ice cream which I never got... The waiter apologized several times and I wanted to leave Tamtam as soon as possible!!! Well, I know I will never set foot there again!!!

Spontaneously and deliciously eaten. The pizzas are really huge. We had also ordered an appetizer. If we had known how big the pizzas were, then probably not :-)

We've wanted to visit this pizzeria for a long time - and it was absolutely worth it! The pizza was incredibly delicious, made with fresh ingredients and baked to perfection. The staff is great: friendly, attentive and quick. We would definitely like to come back!

I like going to Il Convento, it's really nice there and they also have other Italian food there, not just the "typical". My children and my grandchildren love the pizza there!

Very good Italian restaurant in Kassel with good food, some of it expensive. We were there with a group. Unfortunately the food arrived at a delayed time.

I ordered gnocchi with smoked salmon and dried tomatoes and had to bring the first portion back because I hardly received any smoked salmon. In the photo you can see the “improved” dish, although I still found it to be very little, just the one tomato and a little green, everything prepared quite carelessly. When I tried the dish I have to say it didn't taste good at all. The taste was a disaster, the sauce tasted like bacon and wasn't seasoned. We then left quite quickly. I found the kitchen to be very bland, and my husband's food wasn't exactly any better - a shame! I recommend making improvements as quickly as possible and carrying out a quality check on the kitchen. Incidentally, the service was only so-so, I don't think a smile is too much to ask for.

The waiter with glasses is an absolute no go. 1 hour before the official closing time he told us that he wanted to call it a day. We, relatively shocked with half a bottle of wine, were very surprised and felt thrown out. We often spend a lot of money in this restaurant. But unfortunately this service staff always attracts negative attention from us. Apart from him we are very happy with the service and overall.

The food took a long time to arrive. The seasonal dishes we ordered were not available at first. The replacement dish we chose was no longer available, but we were only informed of this after 45 minutes. Very disappointed 😞 I wanted to go out for a delicious meal with my husband, an absolute failure. I walked into the restaurant, which was still very empty, no friendly welcome, rather indifferent. We quickly knew what we wanted to eat and ordered. Guests who arrived after us received their food before us. Parmesan tagliatelle was brought for my husband. We then had to wait 10 minutes for the spaghetti carbonara and a salad. I was able to observe food staggered at several tables. Not nice if you want to go out to eat together. The alleged carbonara that was served is an insult to the guest. A portion of the spaghetti was about 150g cooked, the egg mixture was floating under the pasta and there was no trace of Parmesan. The greasy half-steamed bacon, no serano, was a hit. Dear colleagues, I would be ashamed! Salad was completely forgotten, only appeared on the bill and a complaint was made. Since the restaurant was still empty at that time, you can't speak of being overwhelmed, but rather of employees doing their job without enthusiasm, not one of them smiled. Really sad...

Bedienung sehr nett. Extrawünsche werden umgesetzt. Schönes Ambiente. Echte italienische Pizzen sehr groß, Nudeln teilweise etwas wenig. Geschmacklich aber sehr gut.

Wir waren mit einer größeren Gruppe dort. Leider gab es völliges Chaos. Nachdem wir unsere Gerichte ausgewählt hatten, wurde uns zunächst gesagt, dass die "Monatskarte" nicht mehr gültig ist, also alles nochmal neu aussuchen. Um einen Aperol zu bekommen, habe ich 6(!!!) Anläufe gebraucht. Bin, dann aufgestanden und habe bei einem anderen Kellner bestellt. Eine Tischnachbarin hat 3 Anläufe benötigt um ein Glas Wasser zu bekommen. Essen war ok. Allerdings war der Kellner nicht sehr bemüht uns mit veganen Speisen weiterzuhelfen. Die Pizza ohne Käse kam dann entsprechend MIT Käse und die veganen Arrabiata mit Parmesan. Der Gipfel war dann am Ende die Abrechnung. Der Kellner hat alles mögliche auf unseren Tisch gebucht, was wir nicht bestellt hatten. Nach langer, unangenehmer Diskussion waren wir dann froh wieder draußen zu sein. Essen: ok, Service: katastrophal, Ambiente: sehr laut

After we had chosen our dishes, we were first told that the "monthly menu" was no longer valid, so we had to choose everything again. It took me 6(!!!) attempts to get an Aperol. Then I got up and ordered from another waiter. A neighbor at the table needed 3 attempts to get a glass of water. Food was ok. However, the waiter didn't try very hard to help us with vegan dishes. I wanted to celebrate the anniversary with my wife. After the unseasoned thin starter soup, we waited an hour for our food (pasta)! I don't have high expectations, but the pasta was cold, unseasoned and bland to no end! Every hospital, every canteen and every beginner cooks better! Sorry, never again Il Convento. The ambience was crowned with dried flowers on the table. During that hour no waiter came to ask for more drinks or if everything was okay. No apology, just indifference. We were here for the last time!

der lachs war ungewürzt und fad, der geriebene käse wurde noch wurde während des essen ohne erklärung an einen anderen tisch überreicht, obwohl man trinkgeld gegeben hatte wurde noch dazu das falsch rausgegebene wechselgeld behalten vielen dank aber nein danke es gibt bessere !!

This store is an absolute disaster! My food was just forgotten like that, with no apology or a late meal...nothing! Total indifference! I left just as hungry as I came. The main thing was that the food was still on the bill. 5 macho Italians at the pizza oven, trying to look good in shirts that were way too tight instead of doing their job. We come from the catering industry ourselves and are ashamed of ourselves. With this service we prefer to go to the kebab around the corner, as the quality and friendliness is at least there. Our hard-earned money is far too good for this store!

Nice restaurant in an old ruin. I can recommend the parmesan spaghetti

The food was delicious, but it was already cleared away even though some people were still eating and plates and bread were cleared away even though they weren't finished yet.

So some of the negative reviews (e.g. because of service/prices) are incomprehensible to me. We were able to make a reservation for dinner for 10 people at short notice. Perhaps due to chance, we had our seats in the “separee” with a vault. Was very comfortable and appealing. We ordered "a la cart" and the dishes were served almost at the same time. Even a small delay in placing the order was communicated to us directly. Drinks were also ordered at the beginning and questions were asked later. Always friendly and not intrusive. All meals (pizzas, pasta), starters and dessert are recommended. Not only was everything tasty and good looking, the portions were also more than adequate. Some pizza was packed away for later 😉. All in all a successful evening. We would love to come back.

A total of 2 hours passed until we received and ate our two pizzas. We weren't completely finished when the waiter came and wanted to pack up the rest of the food. We were then asked to pay quickly because it was getting quite busy and guests were already lining up at the door. Well, if we hadn't had to wait so long, we would certainly have been gone after an hour. When I went to the toilet again, I could only find my friend in front of the restaurant. The waiter had simply sent new people to our table. They also looked completely puzzled. I've never experienced anything like that. The food was solid, but due to the poor service we won't be coming back here again. Unfortunately, there is no longer any value placed on the guest, only on the profit - a shame!

Lovely place, some good meals, others not so successful. Octopus risotto with 4 pieces of chewy and hard octopus. The service was very slow and not very polite, they brought a last dish after complaining twice and they didn't even apologize. We had to wait even to pay for more than 15 minutes.

The service was exceptional, the best I have ever had in Germany. The pasta is delicious and the prices are very good. They also speak Italian, which makes the experience even more authentic. I was here about a week ago with my wedding party of 11 people, I was pretty disappointed. Although we knew weeks ago that we were coming with 11 people instead of 9, it was only covered for 9. It was known that a wedding party was coming, there were no decorations. We were made to wait 5 minutes until 1 table and 2 were set up, with 5 freelancers and 2 occupied tables. We waited a very long time until we could order drinks, they came and our food came. Nobody asked if everything was ok or if you needed anything else. The service was very unfriendly and disinterested. If you want to be ignored, you've come to the right place.

The service was chaotic and disorganized. We ate there with four people. The first order for drinks worked quite well. The starters took about 20 minutes. Until the first appetizer came. The other three took another 15 minutes. After the starter that was first brought to the table had already been eaten, the same starter was brought to the table a second time and the waiter didn't seem to know which table to bring it to if I had already had mine. Guests who came AFTER us sat down at tables around us and got their food BEFORE us. I think that makes a very bad impression! It may be that due to increased cases of illness, you have to deal with fewer staff and therefore it takes a little longer. But bringing the orders to the tables in such a VERY DIFFERENT way from the order in which they were ordered makes a very bad impression. We then asked once after about 30 minutes. It then took another 20 minutes for three main courses to arrive. The fourth main course was still a long time coming. If you organize your restaurant business so poorly, even a nice atmosphere can't save it.

Very tasty, but steep prices. The salad was puny, I had 3 pieces of chicken and, if at all, a sliced ​​mushroom. Add some lamb's lettuce and no dressing. I think the €14.90 is way too much for that. My girlfriend had the salad with salmon. Same here. But the location is beautiful and the waiters really try to serve you quickly and make your stay as pleasant as possible.

If you have several hours to wait for your food and don't care about service, this is a place for you. I strongly advise against everyone else because the food is ok, but it takes forever (for us an hour for a bruschetta and a risotto). Definitely the worst Italian in all of Kassel.

Unfortunately I can only give 3 stars, which I think is a shame. This restaurant is actually one of my favorites in Kassel. But today they really "shot the bird." Our portions (€21.90 each) were so sparse that my husband ordered a bowl of potato wedges. We got one! Eighth potato for 4,50€ extra! ...and the friendliness of the staff also leaves a lot to be desired! We would think it would be a shame if this restaurant went down the drain, especially because of the beautiful inner courtyard, but if it continues like this... I can't see it!

Still, there was no apology or anything on the house, as would be the case in any decent establishment. In general, the waitresses were neither attentive nor friendly. And way too expensive for that! Therefore there was no tip. It's a shame about the beautiful atmosphere, but unfortunately I can't recommend it anymore!

Were there for the first time. So unfortunately the welcome wasn't that warm. It can happen, but it shouldn't. We had, among other things, two pizzas. They were relatively large, but very sparsely occupied. My wife had a pasta dish and was still hungry afterwards because the portion was rather small. This restaurant was the worst Italian I have ever come across. I would have been ashamed to serve the risotto with squid tentacles I ordered like this at home. The dish was carelessly thrown together on the plate, it had nothing to do with risotto and the dish was completely bland and contained no spices, let alone Parmesan cheese. The squid was manageable with five small pieces and counted. I can't judge the dishes my companions served, but they weren't thrilled either. The shrimp with the pasta was said to have been completely dry and overcooked. The spaghetti was only served with a knife and fork and no spoon. It took a good hour for the dishes to arrive and the four dishes didn't come at the same time, I was finished and then the last dish came. All in all only intended for tourists, quick money for lousy quality, the tourists won't come back anyway. Everyone should think for themselves whether this cafeteria food with poor service is worth it. Actually a great ambience with a planned open garden, but you have the feeling of sitting in a second-class train station hall. Never again for me.

Has diminished enormously. But it is affordable for many guests thanks to its low prices and is therefore well attended.
