DA VINCI Restaurante in Kassel

The food was semi good, it could be better. I had pasta with shrimps in saffron cream. It's just sticky, the shrimp were cooked well, that took out the noodle mush. The staff very friendly.

The food was delicious, but I was a little disappointed. I thought of a taste explosion; the individual components could have been expressed more. I ate spaghetti with duck and truffles.

Food and ambience, like at home in Sicily. Super tasty and beautifully prepared. Service was also great, despite the fact that the restaurant was full on Boxing Day. We had booked the fireplace room and would have liked to have stayed longer after more than 3 hours, but other guests should also be able to enjoy this. Mille Grazie. The food was really good, but the service (especially from the chef) unfortunately spoiled the experience. There were seven of us there and everything took an incredibly long time - we were in the restaurant for a total of three hours. First, a main course was completely forgotten. After the main course we had already ordered coffee and dessert, but here too we had to wait a long time. When I asked, the boss reacted very unprofessionally and arrogantly. Instead of apologizing, he just explained that there were 150 guests - which is irrelevant from a guest's perspective. It's a real shame that the very good quality of the food is overshadowed by such poor service. Unfortunately, with such an attitude, a visit is not worth it.

The design is superbly cute 🥰 . The pasta and pizza taste very good. I picked up the food, asked for a fork, they did not have single used ones. But, they gave me their metal fork, and told me I don’t have to bring it back as I was traveling there just for the night. So kind ❤️

Sehr laut. Man musste laut reden damit man sich versteht. Zu viele Menschen auf kleinstem Raum. Die Bedienung zeigt keine Emotionen. Der junge, der bedient hat sich noch nicht einmal auf das Trinkgeld gefreut. Das Essen ist mittelmäßig. Mein essen wear aber ok. Aber der Salat hatte so viel Knoblauch, dass ich eine heiße Attacke bekam.

I booked a table on November 2nd, it was my birthday and I wanted to celebrate it with my partner over a nice meal. When we got there there were already 8 people waiting for their reserved table! Despite Prosecco we left after waiting 40 minutes. It's a complete disgrace the way they treat guests there, I'll never enter this restaurant again!

Unfortunately not like it was a few years ago! The service staff seemed very unfriendly at first and then stressed, even though the store wasn't full! The fun factor and the friendly smile were missing, unfortunately!

Very good food. Waiting time normal, with too few staff for a Saturday evening. There was no porcini mushroom ravioli because there were no mushrooms. In the right area sauna temperatures and felt like there was no oxygen in the room. The waitress responded to our request and opened a window.

The restaurant and ambience is really good but my rump steak was cold (that could happen because it was cut) but the waiter's reaction was sh...;.."if you had ordered it medium it would have been warm..." Empfehlenswert wer gehoben aber auch zu einem fairen Preis Essen gehen möchte. Die Fleischgerichte sind sehr zu empfehlen. Passen gut zum Wein. Bedienung war wie immer sehr gut. Finde auch gut das aktiv gefragt wird ob alles in Ordnung war und nach Verbesserungsvorschlägen. Interessiertes Personal :)

Das Ambiente und Personal ist super. Hatte hier Lamm bestellt. Garpunkt wurde getroffen und das Lammfleisch hatte ein guten Geschmack und war zudem sehr zart. Die Soße hat gut zum Gericht gepasst. Preislich auch im Mittelfeld.

Das Essen war sehr lecker und obwohl ich kein Fan von Wein bin hat mit den servierten im Restaurant sehr zufrieden. Etwas recherchiert und es qualitative nicht diese typischen günstigen Weine. Die Pasta und Pizza waren natürlich auch lecker, nicht nur der Alkohol. 😅

Haben hier ein Geburtstag gefeiert im kleinen Kreis mit einem Kumpel von mir. Tolle Locations, leckeres Essen und freundliches Personal. Das Geburtstagskind hat auch ein Dessert aufs Haus bekommen. Stimmung im Restaurant war sehr heiter, alle fröhlich.

Friendly service. The food was TOP and the homemade pasta was great. Even though the ambience is great, it is a bit noisy when everything is full.

Unfortunately, at one event the buffet was not accessible from two sides, so there was quite a crowd. A la carte is probably very good, but the buffet didn't taste good. Unfortunately it was very monotonous, but maybe that was what the host wanted?!

I was here for an event. The service was overwhelmed by the number of guests. Unfortunately the food is mostly cold. Not really good, especially with fried food. Otherwise the location would be really nice.

Hatte hier jeweils einmal die Pizza und auch die Pasta. Beide gerichte sind sehr lecker. Zusätzlich hatte ich noch einen Wein zur empfehlung bekommen, dieser hat auch gut geschmeckt. Kartenzahlung war kein Problem und das Essen wurde schnell serviert.

Waren zu Acht vor Ort. Für uns wurden dementsprechend die Tische verschoben und auch Rücksicht genommen das wir mehrere sind beim Bestellen und servieren, Das Personal war immer sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Essen hat allen gefallen.

A real Italian restaurant! All the pasta is homemade here and you can taste it too! The service was as you would expect, super friendly, attentive and quick. The atmosphere is very pleasant. Of course, the focus is on the extremely delicious food, Everything we ate and saw at the neighboring tables looked like more and our dishes tasted exactly the same. It's rare to have such good quality at an absolutely reasonable price. I would go here again at any time and if I lived near Kassel I would be a new regular customer. It's nice that places like this still exist. The team from I want to say thank you to DAVINCI and keep it up.

Top! Ich musste geschäftlich in Kassel sein und wollte nicht nur gewöhnliches essen sondern mir auch etwas gönnen. Von der Pizza bis zum Dessert, alles sehr lecker und ansehnlich. Auch keine Probleme ein Bewirtungsbeleg zu bekommen.

The ambience is nice, the terrace offers enough space, even with a stroller. We were served nicely, even though we didn't get a card for 15 minutes because we were forgotten. The food is more expensive, but not necessarily justified: there was really little beef carpaccio, a little parmesan and olive oil on it and not salty at all, we would have to season it properly. Pizza wasn't convincing, the base was floppy, so I've eaten better and cheaper ones.

Sehr stillvolles und einladendes Ambiente. Das kleine rote Auto vor dem Eingang hat uns in das Restaurant gelockt und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Alles sehr lecker.

Nice place with a nice atmosphere. Very kind staff and excellent pizza (a Neapolitan from the health district says so). A pleasant evening. We also took the DAVINCI salad, appetizing.

Delicious food and nice ambience. The service is sometimes problematic on weekends. Our main course didn't arrive at the same time (August 17, 2024; 45 minutes delay after the waiter commented twice). If it is too much or the system is not working properly, the customer should at least be made transparent about it. Given the “class” of the restaurant, that’s what I expect as a customer. Price-performance is still very good. Quality, but not “too” expensive!

Delicious food, the staff is very interested in the guests. We even got a candle against wasps, and when it started to drizzle, they immediately extended the awnings.

The food was good, true. But, big BUT - we had reserved a group for the winter garden, when we came we were supposed to sit outside under the awning - in heavy rain and wind.⛈️🌬️ Great! When we asked, we were assigned a table in the winter garden, but probably only because another group had canceled. If someone makes a reservation for the winter garden and it is promised to them, then that should be the case, without asking again. Then the operator is not allowed to accept so many reservations, that's actually very simple. I basically sat with my back at a table for two, which means that the tables were far too close together, which creates an incredible background noise when the hut is full. By comfort I mean something completely different. Then we had to wait a long time, in my opinion far too long, for the food. Guests who arrived later received their food sooner, very strange. The boss expected understanding, with a full house and 150 seats. I'll put it this way: If the tables were at an 'acceptable' distance, there would perhaps only be 100 seats. But the tables were so close that the staff could hardly move between the guests. When the food finally came, some of the friends had to pass it on because the service couldn't make it to the table from behind due to the narrow space. But the big thing was the billing, the waitress got confused when listing things and complained because so many people were talking at once (but that could only have been from the surrounding tables). And ultimately, inexplicably, there was still an amount outstanding, even though everyone had truthfully listed what they had eaten. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Doesn't that sound like a nice, cozy evening? That's correct!!

Die gemütliche Atmosphäre von Da Vinci haben wir sehr geschätzt. Das Essen war einfach fantastisch! Die Pasta war perfekt al dente und die Soße hatte genau die richtige Würze. Unser Kellner war freundlich und aufmerksam. Ich komme definitiv wieder!

We ate very well. The chef here knows his craft. The atmosphere is chic, but still pleasant. The service was also very good at the beginning. When it got busy, our waiter had to serve too many tables. There may also have been short-term staff shortages here. Otherwise, I like the restaurant, especially the food, much better than I did 2 years ago. We'll definitely come back.

By far the best restaurant in Kassel + the wider area. Prices are more than fair and the food is like that of a star restaurant.

Very great atmosphere and great food. attentive service

We waited over 1.5 hours for our food, the drinks had to be taken again because they apparently disappeared after the first order. At the entrance you had to wait 5-10 minutes while the staff kept walking past you and you weren't really noticed. However, the food tasted good and the furnishings/ambience were also very good and looked new. When the food was delivered, the bill was requested straight away, but no one came to collect until we had finished eating. Put the money down and then left. The service can really be improved. Not for us again.

The food is really good and authentic. Beautiful interior design with attention to detail. The level of service was unfortunately much below the level that the place otherwise presented. We didn't get half of our order and we had to wait 15 minutes to pay. During the time we waited we were ignored and neglected. It disappointed us a lot.

The food is delicious, the service in our case wasn't breathtaking, we forgot drinks and took things from the table without asking. (They took the ashtray away from us even though we had smokers at the table. They cleared away the glasses without asking if we wanted anything else.)

We come here every now and then. The food is mostly good and the service is friendly. A few weeks ago we had some bad luck with the service. She asked if we wanted dessert. I said yes and briefly complained that I had the wrong main course. After that she forgot to take the order. When we asked for the bill, she wanted to bring it too. After 15 minutes we asked another waitress who then said that our waitress had already finished work. He must have forgotten us. Recently we were there with a slightly larger group with a reservation. The table was not prepared. The food for everyone came relatively at the same time, but unfortunately some dishes were only lukewarm. One dish wasn't cooked properly and had to be "reworked" twice. I expect a little more from a restaurant in this price range, hence only 3 stars.

It was cozy. My girlfriend got something different than what she ordered. I didn't get what was ordered either. But it was still tasty.

Wir waren aus der Schweiz zum Besuch der Familie in Kassel und haben uns das Da Vinci nach einer Empfehlung ausgesucht. War ein gute Entscheidung weil wir einen schönen Abend hatten. Die einzelnen Speisen waren super lecker und auch abwechslungsreich. Auch die Portionen waren üppig.

Fantastisches Essen mit tollem Wein. Das Restaurant ist gut besucht und das zurecht. Das Personal auch sehr freundlich gewesen. Gerne wieder.

A nice evening with friends, good food (especially the pizza), very friendly service and overall good ambience. Unfortunately (loudly), fortunately (you could see what was there), we had the closest table to the kitchen ;-). Overall OK and affordable. For quick pasta or a “round” pizza, always great.

The “DaVinci” restaurant is an absolute tip for gourmets. The location is ideal, right in the historic center. The ambience is stylish and inviting, perfect for special occasions. The menu offers an exquisite selection of regional and international dishes, prepared with great attention to detail. The service is attentive and friendly, making the visit a completely successful experience. A must for anyone who appreciates good food in great surroundings.

Pizza was good, nice thin dough, plenty of toppings, great selection, but the staff was overwhelmed. Unfortunately we had to wait almost 1 hour for our food (Wednesday evening!). Price-wise it's on the upper side, but still okay given the quantity and quality

Poor acoustics due to tiled floors and background music generally too loud. The waitress had to ask again when two people ordered and brought the wrong cola. The price is pretty demanding, the quality is pretty okay. Saltimbocca sauce is ready one minute after serving. All in all too expensive for the performance.

Was there on my birthday 🎂 with my fiancée and her daughter. It was very delicious and the atmosphere was fantastic. We had a very nice evening there together. Definitely we will visit DAVINCI again and enjoy the package. The price is completely okay. The staff was very, very friendly and the food tasted fantastic. Unfortunately only Fritz Cola and no Pepsi... but that doesn't make the rating worse. It's nice that there are still such good pizzas and pastas in Kassel. Quality of food is very important to me. We were there on a Wednesday evening and were served in a friendly and attentive manner. The food (salad, tagliatelle, meat dish) was tasty and the portions were large.

Good ambience, but food too expensive

We visited Da Vinci restaurant and were happy with the starters, especially the bread with olive oil was delicious. However, we noticed that the staff were a little careless (it wasn't very busy) and the plates remained for a long time despite several employees passing by. Little or only late attention was paid to empty drinks. The main course, Linguini al Mare, was rich in seafood, however the pasta lacked flavor and spices. The pizza was good on the edges but a bit tough in the middle. For dessert, Sorbetto Basilico and Creme Brulee, the Creme Brulee could have been creamier and warmer and it seemed like it wasn't homemade. Personally, the basil flavored sorbetto wasn't my cup of tea. The cloakroom was very remote and you couldn't see it. In addition, despite our expenses for 2 starters, 6 main courses (only pizza and pasta) and 2 desserts, there was no espresso or schnapps on the house, even though there were 6 of us there. We weren't even asked if we wanted a coffee or espresso at the end, which is usually what we do. (with payment of course) Given the high prices compared to the quality offered, we find the restaurant to be too expensive despite its reputation. Although our visit wasn't bad, we see no reason to visit again. We recommend everyone to take a look for themselves.

The pasta dishes are awesome!!!

It was my first time in Kassel for work and I had dinner here with some work colleagues and my customer (around 20 people). Shortly after we sat down, at my request, a few water bottles were handed out to us at the table and these were automatically replaced with new ones when they were empty. Then there were very tasty various appetizers from grilled vegetables to good ones spread out on the tables Bread to meat. The main course was similarly good, Tim Boca was probably very good and my pizza with daily vegetables was also a pleasure. The wine selection was also very good. We were very satisfied and will eat there again at our next customer meeting.
