Ein wirklich tolles Restaurant. Mich hat es sehr beeindruckt. Das Essen war wirklich außerordentlich gut. Der Service sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Tolles Ambiente. Man kann sowohl draußen als auch drinnen sitzen. Sehr empfehlenswert. Verdiente 5 Sterne.

Mit der Familie Carciola verbindet uns eine lange gemeinsame Geschichte. Schon im Atrium waren wir Stammgäste und sind ihnen anschließend über zehn Jahre lang in die Alte Wache gefolgt. Für uns stand deshalb außer Frage, auch ins Da Vinci zu kommen. Es ist schön zu erleben, dass sich über all die Jahre eines nicht verändert hat: die herzliche Gastfreundschaft, der persönliche Service und die Leidenschaft für hervorragende italienische Küche. Man wird nicht einfach bedient – man fühlt sich jedes Mal willkommen, wie bei guten Freunden. Die Gerichte sind immer frisch, mit viel Liebe zubereitet und geschmacklich auf höchstem Niveau. Egal ob Pasta, Fisch, Fleisch oder Dessert – jedes Essen ist ein Genuss. Dazu kommt eine tolle Weinauswahl und ein Team, das seine Gäste kennt und sich Zeit für sie nimmt. Vielen Dank an die gesamte Familie Carciola und das ganze Team für die vielen schönen Abende und unvergesslichen Momente. Wir freuen uns auf viele weitere Besuche im Da Vinci und können das Restaurant von Herzen weiterempfehlen. P.S.: Natürlich kann auch einmal etwas nicht ganz perfekt laufen – das gehört überall dazu. Gerade die Gastronomie ist ein echter Knochenjob, bei dem jeden Tag Höchstleistungen erbracht werden. Umso mehr schätzen wir den Einsatz, die Leidenschaft und die Herzlichkeit der Familie Carciola und ihres gesamten Teams.

Nicht klimatisiert bei 35Grad - drinnen dementsprechend SEHR schwül.

Wir suchten nach einem Restaurant, in dem es echte Carbonara (ohne Sahne) gibt und wo es noch etwas anderes als Pizza und Pasta gibt. Wir probierten die Pasta mit Trüffeln (sie war unglaublich lecker, aber anscheinend waren auch Champignons im Gericht enthalten). Die Pasta mit Hähnchen und Pilzen hatte eine sehr leckere Soße, aber warum man dort scharfe Chili hinzugefügt hat – das bleibt mir ein Rätsel)) Die Tagliatelle mit Meeresfrüchten waren sehr tomatig und aromatisch! Allerdings waren sie verkocht und bröckelig. Das Lammkarree war einfach top. Und die Crème brûlée verdient großes Lob. Auf jeden Fall empfehle ich dieses Lokal für ein Familienessen; wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen, um noch etwas anderes zu probieren. Aber bitte kocht die Pasta „al dente“))

Sehr schönes Ambiente, mal eine etwas andere Karte und sehr gut besucht. Schöne Auswahl an Gerichten, ob Pasta, Risotto, Fisch oder Fleisch. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Insgesamt ein guter Laden. Service sehr nett und aufmerksam, auch wenn er zweimal Getränke vergessen hat. Lag vielleicht daran, dass der Laden sehr sehr voll war. Vorspeisen kamen sehr schnell. Das Carpaccio darf ein bisschen größer sein. Aber es wird halt alles teurer, so auch wohl der Wareneinsatz. Die Pizza war top. Die Carbonara darf ein wenig mehr Geschmack bekommen, vielleicht durch mehr Parmesankäse oder noch mal ein extra Eigelb.

Waren an einem Montag zum Mittag da, meine Frau hatte die Pizza Parma und ich eine Pizza Margarita, beide Pizzen waren sehr lecker zubereitet! Zur Pizza 🍕 hatten wir jeweils ein großes Radler 🍻. Das Ambiente ist gehoben und hat eine tolle Atmosphäre, die Bedienung war freundlich und zuvorkommend:) Die Preis Leistung ist gut 👍🏻 wir werden wieder kommen 😊👌🏼 Belissimo! ☀️

Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen, weil die Mitarbeitenden alle Gäste herzlich begrüßen und freundlich empfangen. Die Speisekarte ist vielfältig und auch Gäste mit Unverträglichkeiten oder Sonderwünschen haben eine Auswahl an Gerichten verschiedener Art. Der Service ist ausgesprochen gut, alle Mitarbeitenden sind freundlich, aufmerksam und kompetent. Wir lieben es bei DAVINCI zu essen, weil es immer schmeckt und wir uns dort herzlich willkommen fühlen.

Kurztrip nach Italien - mitten in Kassel! Tolles Team, authentische Gastfreundschaft und die beste italienische Küche der Stadt.

Nach Betreiberwechsel war wir gestern mit Freunden zum ersten Mal wieder da und wir hatten ein fantastischen Abend!!! Super lecker und sehr aufmerksamer Service. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Seit längerer Zeit gestern hervorragend diniert. Alle Speisen wie Fleisch und Pasta mit Meeresfrüchte ein Traum. Von der Antipasti Version für uns Drei ganz zu schweigen, einfach deliciös. Wenn ich nicht so weit weg wohnen würde, wäre es mein Stammitaliener.

Wir hatten wirklich Glück dass wir überhaupt noch einen Platz für 2 Personen bekommen haben an den tatsächlich sehr bequemen Barhockern, denn offensichtlich ist das Restaurant hier seeehr beliebt. Es waren nämlich ansonsten schon alle Tische ausgebucht. Die Speisekarte ist sehr übersichtlich, was persé nicht so schlecht ist. Das merkt man an den Gerichten, denn bei den Tagliatelle Frutti di mare zum Beispiel waren es einzelne frische Meerestiere und nicht die sonst übliche TK Variante. Es hat zwar ein bisschen so der letzte Pfiff bei beiden Nudelgerichten gefehlt, aber trotzdem waren sie geschmacklich wirklich sehr hohe Handwerkskunst - zu deutsch echt lecker. Die Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich und dafür dass so viel los war immer noch schnell und aufmerksam. Auf unser Essen haben wir gerade mal ca. 10/12 Minuten gewartet. Kann ich gut weiterempfehlen. Was ich als außergewöhnlich erachte und daher besonders hervorzuheben möchte ist, dass an allen Tischen neben Salz/Pfeffer auch sehr hochwertiges Olivenöl und Aceto Balsamico standen.

Genau so, wie man es von einer richtig guten italienischen Pizza erwartet. Auch der Salat war hervorragend: frisch, kreativ angerichtet und geschmacklich top, besonders der Ziegenkäse in Kombination mit Apfel und dem fein abgestimmten Dressing. Man merkt sofort, dass hier mit Qualität und Liebe zum Detail gearbeitet wird. Der Service war freundlich, aufmerksam und sehr angenehm, die Atmosphäre gemütlich und einladend. Ein Restaurant, in dem man sich sofort wohlfühlt und gerne wiederkommt. Für uns definitiv eine der besten Adressen in Kassel, wenn man italienisch essen gehen möchte. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Tolles italienisches Restaurant in Kassel! Wir waren im Da Vinci essen und es hat uns richtig gut gefallen. Getränke waren lecker, Ambiente schön, Service okay, das Essen hat uns leider nicht überzeugt. Wir hatten beide Pasta, beide Gerichte fanden wir nur Mittelmäßig. Abgesehen davon wurden wir bei Hauptspeise und auch Dessert vergessen, so dass wir jedes mal nachordern mußten und ewig gewartet haben. Das kannten wir aus der Vergangenheit leider deutlich besser.

Ich habe zum zweiten Mal hier gespeist und war beide Male sehr zufrieden! Mein Nudelgericht mit Pistazien Pesto und Garnelen war sehr lecker und nett angerichtet! Der Aperol Spritz war top und auch der Service sehr aufmerksam und äußerst freundlich! Immer wieder gerne!

Mein erstes Date mit meinem Partner in diesem tollen Ambiente, sehr positiv. Aber nicht nur das besondere persönliche Erlebnis hat überzeugt, daß Essen sehr gut und eine sehr gute Weinempfehlung. Also, selbst ausprobieren.

Beliebtes und belebtes Restaurant mit leckerem Essen,guten Wein und freundlichem Personal. Die Pizza war so heiß, dass der Kellner sich verbrannt hat.

Trotz der Größe ruhige Atmosphäre, sehr nettes Personal. Leider haben mir die Tagliatelle frutti di Mare nicht geschmeckt, kaum gewürzt, nur Muscheln und Krabben. Meiner Partnerin hat ihr Gericht aber sehr gut geschmeckt.

It's not the same anymore; I've rarely eaten so badly. All the dishes have been returned. This has nothing to do with Italian cuisine, sorry.

I've rarely left a restaurant so annoyed. If you haven't had a stressful day, you can pick it up there! Cafeteria atmosphere. Average food. Unbearably loud, far too many people, all talking too loudly, combined with too much music. Maximum number of people in minimal space! No oxygen to breathe.

The food was delicious and of really good quality. Unfortunately, the service wasn't particularly attentive, which somewhat dampened the overall impression. We would have also appreciated a small nightcap on the house at the end, but unfortunately, this wasn't offered.

If you love homemade pasta and value both fresh ingredients and good wine, Da Vinci in Kassel is the place for you. My recommendation: Start with a generous tomato salad, followed by spaghetti carbonara – molto bene! 👌 After that, you'll be a repeat customer.

A deliberate contrast, never loud, always intentional. Below, the large winter garden with terrace opens like a shell slowly unfolding, a bright glass structure that gathers the light. Tucked away, never on a grand display, it is an intimate place waiting to be found. All at once, you feel as if you’ve stepped into another world. This symbiosis between Italian culinary art and what so often hides anonymously inside packaging is here presented like jewels. What elsewhere might simply be thrown into boiling water – spaghetti, noodles, ingredients without ceremony – is here brought back as something both natural and precious. Ingredients are celebrated, displayed, honoured before they reach the plate. Each variety of spaghetti is a treasure, not simply served, but introduced – like a jeweller placing a piece under the light. I don’t often write reviews, but here I must. Perhaps you won’t always be lucky – and yet you will always be rewarded. These spaghetti, tossed inside a giant wheel of Parmesan, are an event in themselves. The cheese opens, releasing its warm, soft scent, as if unveiling a small, secret world. And when truffle shavings are added – or, when out of season, a good truffle oil carries the aroma – the evening becomes complete. And when summer arrives, the full moon rises above the rooftops, and life itself seems to welcome you, there is no need to travel to Italy. You can simply stay here, in Kassel’s Vorderer Westen, and dream yourself into the present – with a plate before you that wants nothing more than to be enjoyed. Perhaps it is this mix of restraint and generosity, of the everyday and the exquisite, that makes Da Vinci so special. It is a place that celebrates the simple until it becomes a feast. An evening here is not just a meal, but a memory you carry away like a gift. One can only be grateful that it exists – this small, glowing place of Italian joy in Kassel.

The food was very good, but the service was extremely poor. The waiters ignored us and didn't respond to hand signals. We had to actively ask at the counter to get the bill.

Four of us were here. The starters were very good and plentiful. However, the pasta main courses were underseasoned and bland. The spaghetti with prawns was very dry and underseasoned, and 4 small prawns for €18 is quite a bit of a stretch. The atmosphere was very loud and cramped, with every available spot taken. The service: you had to be very patient. Ordering was relatively quick, and the starter came quickly, but then no one from the staff appeared, and we were ignored. After 20 minutes, our starter plates were cleared away, and the main course took a very long time to arrive. It wasn't possible to order a drink in between.

We were there for the first time yesterday, and I have to say, it was fantastic. We received a warm welcome and the food was sublime. We started with the antipasti platter for two, and for the main course, we had the pasta from the cheese rind (with truffle oil). It was the best pasta I've ever had in a restaurant. My companion also thought it was simply fantastic. 👌 We didn't have to wait long for our food or for reordered drinks. All the staff were very friendly and always had a smile on their faces. We also found the ambiance extremely appealing, and we couldn't understand the noise level, which some reviews found disturbing. I think it also depends on the individual guests. It was a wonderful evening, and it definitely won't be our last at Davinci.

The wine was excellent, the service was top-notch, but unfortunately the pizza wasn't good. What a pity.

The bread in the Bruschetta Mix was too hard for me personally. The Penne Arrabiata with garlic had too many garlic pieces simply cut into it. I would have preferred the garlic to be incorporated into the sauce.

An absolute dream – Da Vinci Kassel is pure love on a plate! I don't even know where to begin because this restaurant simply surpasses everything I could wish for in a dining experience. For me, Da Vinci isn't just a restaurant, it's a place where you feel like you're with good friends – only these friends just happen to be able to conjure up absolutely fantastic Italian cuisine. 🇮🇹🍝🍷 As soon as you enter the restaurant, you feel the warm, inviting atmosphere. It smells of fresh pasta, basil, crusty bread, and a touch of dolce vita. The decor is tasteful, elegant, yet cozy – you immediately feel like you've arrived. And then the food… WOW. Simply WOW. Every dish is a little masterpiece. The pasta? Fresh, perfectly al dente, with sauces to die for. The pizzas? A dream – thin crusts, juicy toppings, with that typical wood-fired oven aroma that's addictive. Whether meat, fish, or vegetarian – everything is prepared with so much love and skill that it's almost unbelievable. The service? Warm, attentive, fast, and genuine. No stiff friendliness, but rather people who are passionate about what they do and live the place – you can tell right away: They put their heart and soul into it. 💖 I've rarely experienced a place where everything is just right – quality, atmosphere, people, taste, value for money. For me, Da Vinci is my absolute favorite place in Kassel. Whether it's a romantic dinner, a family meal, or simply an evening of indulgence – I keep coming back and each time I leave a little bit happier than when I arrived. We were there for a business dinner on Tuesday evening, and it was very busy. Unfortunately, there weren't enough waiters on site. They were also stressed and seemed unfriendly. I think a smile and maybe a charming apology if it takes a little longer is part of the job. The food was average... Constantly checking on the waiter made the evening rather tiring. We wanted to give our business friends a pleasant evening, but that was difficult when you're constantly sitting in front of empty glasses and uncleared plates. It's a shame, but there are other Italian restaurants in Kassel.

We used to love going to Davinci, but unfortunately, a lot has changed. The food was cold, the portions were too small for the price, and the service was unfriendly – not a single smile. It's a shame!

Food was of varying quality. Carbonara was probably the worst I've ever tasted. The rest of the family said their food was okay, but nothing more. Service was far from what you would expect, sluggish and not really welcoming. However, the place was quite ok, and the atmosphere was good, to mention some bright spots.

We were there on a Friday evening (with a reservation, of course) to celebrate my husband's birthday. It was very busy, and with a wedding party and a big birthday party in the house, we were perhaps just a little unlucky – unfortunately, the service was almost nonexistent. We were very cramped at a tiny table. Otherwise, the atmosphere is actually very nice! We got our menus fairly quickly, but it took forever to even order. That the food also took a while isn't surprising and not a major criticism. The starters were very good – I highly recommend them. The pasta dishes, on the other hand, unfortunately seemed to have been kept warm for a long time and weren't particularly flavorful. A drink for the child, which we ordered at the beginning of the main course, unfortunately took until almost the end of the main course – especially with a child, I would have appreciated a bit more attention in this regard. We would definitely try it again if we get the chance, hoping that it will be more pleasant when the crowd is a bit quieter.

Such a nice restaurant with really friendly and attentive service. But the food was unfortunately quite poor. The cuttlefish smelled strongly of fish, and my Gorgonzola gnocchi were lukewarm and lacked any flavor. The wine was great and at the right temperature. Since it was fully booked, the question arose as to the level of taste of the guests.

The food was excellent. It's a shame everything else couldn't keep up. The service was poor. Drink orders were only taken on a hand signal. The bottle of white wine then sat on the counter for 10 minutes. It could be better. There was no active selling. Unfortunately, we had a seat in the glass case. Not particularly nice. A shame. With so many Italian restaurants competing for our attention, there's no reason to come back.

We were at Davinci last night; the food was of very good quality and beautifully presented. However, the service seemed a bit hectic and disorganized. We had ordered an appetizer and were surprised that it took so long. Then our main course came first instead of the appetizer. We had asked for the appetizer first, and it did arrive. However, the main course was cold afterward, as it had most likely just been sitting on a warming plate/heat lamp for so long. But the food is very tasty. A lot needs to be done in terms of service. It was similar at other tables. And when we paid, we waited 15 minutes before anyone even came. We completely understand if it takes a while. But that was too long, and then not even a "sorry, it's a bit stressful today, may I offer you another espresso, etc." We thought that was a bit of a shame.

Food delicious price performance is right

Service was sometimes overwhelmed, especially when the place was full. The food was generally appealing, the taste and quantity were OK, but couldn't be rated above satisfactory. The wait for service was too long. Not surprisingly, given the busy place, there were too few staff, which affected the wait time and friendliness. I could have easily had 2-3 more drinks, but after the food was delivered, the attention on our table waned. The restaurant is overhyped, especially since the ambiance at times feels like a train station concourse, which leads to the loud noise when the place is full.

Unfortunately, I didn't have a good experience. I received food with a very dominant ingredient that had been deliberately set aside beforehand. However, the food was replaced. Neither I nor my companions particularly enjoyed it, and I wouldn't choose it again. The service was overworked and not very friendly.

I stopped here for the first time by chance because the restaurant of my choice was closed, contrary to what Maps had shown. Google wasn't sure whether DaVinci was open or closed on Whit Monday, but since I was only a few hundred meters away, I stopped by. It was open. The surrounding area is one of the nicer residential areas in Kassel, with quiet streets lined with old trees and Wilhelminian-era houses. Very pleasant. The glass-enclosed pavilion, which converted the former terrace into a dining room and is visible thanks to the lighting, offered a free table for me and my companion. Actually, the friendly Italian waitress assigned us a table. Yes, they skimp on service here, but it's very customer-oriented. The furnishings and decor are also sparse: despite the cloth napkins, there's no tablecloth. It's a shame, as that distinguishes a restaurant from a simpler eatery. The food here isn't cheap, but it's certainly appropriate for the quality of the cuisine. Yes, you can enjoy delicious Italian food here. The pasta isn't overcooked; it's simply yet beautifully presented and enhanced with delicious sauces. They'll be happy to help you choose the right wine. The wines are good, and they also serve Italian Moretti beer. All in all, this restaurant is highly recommended and worth repeat visits.

The food was excellent, nothing to complain about. Kudos to the chef!! One star deducted because the waitresses were simply unpleasant. All of them, really. Except for the bartender—he at least said goodbye to us :) Otherwise, they weren't at all inviting and seemed very annoyed. It's a shame; it totally ruined the atmosphere. No interest in our presence; we had to call someone over every time... what can I say... smiling doesn't cost anything. Was there even dessert? We didn't want to ask any more questions; we were glad we finished quickly and could leave.

Never again. 2 hours of waiting. Pizza not cooked through.

A Solid Restaurant with Room for Improvement The Da Vinci restaurant in Kassel offers a pleasant ambiance and an appealing menu. Unfortunately, the visit wasn't convincing in all aspects. The meat dish I ordered wasn't cooked to the desired degree, which somewhat spoiled the experience. The coffee was also more lukewarm than hot. While the service was friendly and attentive, it was noticeably slow—longer wait times resulted. Nevertheless, the restaurant's potential is evident. With a little more attention from the kitchen and service, the visit could have been much more well-rounded. I would be open to another attempt.

A very nice restaurant with a great atmosphere and tasteful decor. The service was excellent and quick. The food also arrived quickly. The food was hot and well presented. Unfortunately, the flavor was rather bland and almost unseasoned. The risotto and pasta were very bland. The appetizer plate was also not very tasty. We wish the kitchen had been more bold with salt, spices, and garlic. Then it would give it 5 stars! Dessert was good!

A wonderful restaurant that we'll definitely be returning to, even though we live about 100 km away. Due to the weather, we happened upon this restaurant visit by chance, but it was more than worth it. Everything we had, from starters to main courses and desserts, was delicious. Homemade pasta and clever creations are standard fare. The kitchen and service staff seem to be a well-coordinated team, offering guests a truly excellent package that justifies every cent. Highly recommended!

Great Italian restaurant with top-notch service, friendly staff, and even though it was very busy, the service was absolutely prompt. The one-star deduction for the food is actually because out of the 20 dishes, not every one was absolutely 5-star, and some pizzas actually had minimal toppings. Otherwise, top-notch

Highly praised, but I've eaten better. Waited a long time for drinks and food (1.5 hours), even though there wasn't much going on. Food was kept warm for a long time and was not as described on the menu. (cheap bacon instead of Italian smoked bacon). If you think Italian flair is popular here, you're wrong here. I could mention other things.
