Sehr unverschämter Kellner, Preise viel zu hoch nicht zu empfehlen ! Man wird richtig unter Druck gesetzt beim bestellen so das man sich nicht Wohl fühlt. Wenn Sie die Küche in 10 min nach unserer Ankunft schließen möchten, warum lassen sie uns dann überhaupt rein????

Very rude waiter! When we arrived, we politely asked if they were still open, they said yes, then we sat down and looked at the menu, during which we were so harassed by the waiter that we had to make a quick decision because the kitchen was closing in 10 minutes. even though we asked beforehand. Conclusion, my question to the waiter was, if it's a problem for him, we're happy to leave the restaurant because we want to choose our food in peace and don't want to be put under pressure. He started to argue with me…….. The bill was almost 150€, which is ok, but a request to this relaxed waiter, why are you doing a job that you are not up to! The food is extra good but this waiter was an absolute no go!

Highly recommended. If you like a traditional italian atmosphere and don't mind to pay a proper price for excellent food then you should try this place. Lovely service, kind and welcoming but not fake.

Nur wers gerne ekelhaft haben will, sollte hier rein. Ambiente von den späten 80igern. Wenn man in den Gastraum kommt, umweht einen der Küchengeruch, speziell Fisch, obwohl keine offene Küche. Es ist ekelhaft, wenn ein Restaurant nach Küche stinkt! Nebentisch sassen 2 zwielichtige osteuropäische Kerle, die mit Lautsprecher telefoniert haben, haben scheinbar dort ihr Stammtisch und dürfen sich wie pseudo Mafiosi verhalten. Die Rotebeete Gnoochis waren alles, aber nicht frisch zubereitet, hatte eine hitze wie von der Mikrowelle schnell erhitzt. Das Gericht von meinem Mann war auch optisch totaler fail. Unser Fazit, NIE WIEDER! 🤮

Disfrutamos de una agradable experiencia gastronómica en una noche ardiente de Frankfurt en la terraza de Gallo Nero. La terraza estaba llena a su capacidad, lo que se sumó al ambiente. El servicio fue un poco lento pero indulgente dadas las ajetreadas demandas de la gran cantidad de comensales en su personal de camarera. Las opciones de menú incluyen muchos clásicos italianos y su carta de vinos es extensa, desde vinos a precios razonables hasta cosechas caras. Estábamos muy contentos con nuestras opciones de comida y vino. Los precios son promedio para este calibre de restaurantes. Merece la pena una visita si estás en los alrededores.

Everything was perfect. We got risotto and vegetarian pasta , so yummy. They have huge wine list, i recommend local sauvignon 🌟

Nice and cozy Italian restaurant. Friendly and courteous service. It's been a long time since I've had such good fresh fish, cooked and served to perfection. Nice ambience. Price/performance is a little higher in the region, but justified. Very tasty classic Italian tiramisu.

One of the best Italians in Frankfurt

Short review : AVOID AT ALL COST. Service is almost borderline rude. Poured water all over the tablecloth when pouring into glasses. Didn’t offer the wine menu or even asked if we wanted some. On asking for the wine menu he just threw it on the table. None of the wines listed were by glass. Upon asking he offered two options by the glass without any information on which wine. Yhe food order, he forgot what we ordered and confirmed it twice. The wagyu starter was an abomination and disrespectful to the animal and the cut of meat. The tbone steak which I asked for as medium rare was presented as rare (borderline blue). Upon sending it back the chef decided to throw it on to (what I can presume to be) an overheated grill. Burnt and charred it to hell. Took 4 bites in hopes of finding a bite which was not burnt or bitter but couldn’t. Decided to cut my losses and not waste my palette on this absolute disgrace to Italian food (or even food as a whole). AVOID at all costs.

Prices are a little high. Tomato soup 16€ Chicken is priced at €30. We paid 100 € for one chicken, one tiramisu and 2 tomato soups. But it was delicious.

Very good restaurant, a little more expensive, but the quality is also good. We spontaneously got a table and something to eat at 10 p.m. Very nice and fast service.

It's a very nice Italian restaurant. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is good. For my main dish, I had seafood pasta. The volume was perfect and the seasoning was delicious, but the only negative point was that the pasta itself was overcooked and had a poor texture. Other members ordered veal schnitzel, steak, and fish dishes, and everyone said they were delicious.

Apart from the oh-so-confident yuppie clientele (although “young” definitely has to be deleted here) FANTASTIC!!!

This is one of the best Italian restaurants I've been to in a while. I loved their ravioli, especially the truffle sauce. I would eat here all the time if I lived here! I would 100% recommend you come here.

Excellent food but the staff is not at the level of similar restaurants, not welcoming, I went with my husband for lunch even though the tables were empty, he gets angry because my husband sits next to me, in fact he makes us aware of his discomfort that we are neighbors and gets rude saying if he doesn't sit in front I won't give you food!!!!!! and even if his colleagues tried in every way to contain this waiter who, if he sees, uses his power and thinks he is dictating laws but there is nothing to be done, it seems that he is the boss of the universe and they don't like it because we have chosen a place on a sofa where his colleagues made us sit to be close to each other, steals from other times! it made us feel uncomfortable, we have never felt such discomfort even though after paying the guy at the checkout said sorry but we were really disappointed that there is this character in a restaurant.

Oggi mia moglie, su mia indicazione, voleva invitare un’amica in visita dagli Stati Uniti in questo ristorante. Il ristorante apre alle 18:30, alle 18:20 mia moglie chiede ad un cameriere se fosse possibile entrare 10 minuti prima in quanto la temperatura era piuttosto rigida. Il dipendente rispose di no, che non era possibile, ma in modo aggressivo ed offensivo. Da parte nostra abbiamo cancellato questo locale dall’elenco dei favoriti in Francoforte.

Das Gallo Nero ist ein alteingesessenes italienisches Restaurant. Die Kellner sind sehr freundlich und der offene Rotwein, der hier serviert wird, ist ein wahres Gedicht - da braucht man gar keine Flasche zu bestellen! Essen ist sehr lecker. 5 Sterne!

Run by and staffed by a group of old style Italian men. The restaurant has a vibe that is very appealing. The food was superb and well presented. It was a great night out, and I would happily return again. I would also recommend this to anyone looking for Italian food in Frankfurt.

Even though our reservation was wrong (reserved for 2 but had a party of 3) they were so kind to quickly accommodate us.

We had a dinner at the place. The food was great but limited choices of wine per glass. Prosecco was great, Pinot Grigio was mediocre. The service is ok, we had to remind about what we ordered a couple of times! In summary a decent Italian place.

A nice street restaurant located in the KaiserhofStraße. It has good Italian chef and garsons. We tried seebus fish as the main course with Albino Rocca wine and finally creme Brulee for desert. Spent 3 hours there talking with friends while dining together. Nice food and service.

Wir waren anlässlich einer Familienfeier am Abend im Gallo Nero. Ein heisser Abend im August - wir saßen ab 18.30 Uhr draußen. Sehr aufmerksamer und fachkundiger Service, schöne Speisekarte - auch für Vegetarier. Ob Fleisch, Fisch oder Pasta - jeder hat etwas gefunden. Wir alle hatten einen gemischten Vorspeiseteller - auch hier ging der Kellner auf individuelle Wünsche ein. Hervorragende Weine und leckere Dolci. Die Kaiserhofstraße am Samstagabend im Sommer ist trubelig und Unterhaltung ist mit Musikanten auch geboten. Gefühlt kennt jeder jeden hier. Das Gallo Nero ist ein Klassiker, der nicht aus der Mode gekommen ist.

Sehr nettes Personal, am Essen ist nichts auszusetzen es hat uns allen sehr geschmeckt. Die Dorade ist sehr zu empfehlen. Das Restaurant ist Perfekt Man kann sich über nichts beschweren.

Unfassbar dass wir dieses top Lokal noch nicht kannten. Sehr gemütlich ,super netter Service, aufmerksam und kompetent. Das Essen exzellent Die Seezunge gigantisch gut gegrillt und gewürzt und das Kotlette milanese war mit Abstand das Beste was ich seit langem gegessen habe. Wir haben ein Top Restaurant gefunden und werden hier regelmäßig wieder kommen. Vielen lieben Dank

Beim letzten Besuch sassen wir im Aussenbereich.Netter Service,kleine Standartkarte plus Tagesempfehlungen (die muss man aber meistens nachfragen).Die Fischgerichte sind sehr lecker und für einen gehobenen Italiener in bester Lage sehr moderat.Wo bekommt man noch eine ganze Seezunge für 29E?Die offenen Weine sind von guter Qualität.

Die Speisen haben eine ausgezeichnete Qualität und die Auswahl an typisch italienischen Gerichten ist reichhaltig. Auch die Weinkarte ist reichhaltig. Die Preise von Speisen und Getränken sind im "oberen Bereich", d.h. also recht teuer. Der Service ist mäßig und hat Verbesserungsbedarf (wir saßen draußen und obwohl 5 Ober/Kellner am Bedienen waren, mussten wir lange warten und alle Ober/Kellner waren unaufmerksam und z.T. unfreundlich. Im Restaurant drinnen ist es ziemlich eng.

Excellent Italian restaurant with great food and service. Wine menu is fantastic and even though it was busy the staff worked together to keep things moving quickly and to ensure we were always taken care of. Appetizers were excellent and so was the sole fish. Creme Brule was amazing - one of the best I have had. Tiramisu was also very good. Definitely worth trying them out.

Nothing outstanding unfortunately. We had four courses and nothing managed to be excellent. Good, but not great. Which is a bummer. The staff is entirely Italian which gives it a very authentic character, and they were very nice. The meat was slightly overcooked, the truffle spaghetti were bland. There‘s too many other options in Frankfurt to go to.

Man schaut sich häufig vorher die Bewertungen an. Die aktuellen Beurteilungen waren sehr ambivalent und durchmischt. Wir haben es dennoch versucht und trotz sehr gutem Besuch noch einen Tisch bekommen. Der Service hat uns sofort positiv gestimmt. Typische italienische Freundlichkeit. So wie man in den Wald ruft, so kommt es zurück. Wir wurden auf die aktuellen Gerichte ausserhalb der Karte aufmerksam gemacht und die ersten Getränke waren zackig auf dem Tisch. Wir haben als Vorspeise eine Pasta mit Trüffel und ein fünfachen Meeresfrüchteteller bestellt. Anschließend Steinbutt und Skrei. Die Gerichte waren super angerichtet. Die Menge war üppig und wir waren total begeistert, vom Service sowieso. Übrigens, die Preise waren absolut angemessen und standen in einem sehr guten Verhältnis zur Qualität. Wir kommen wieder.

Years past by before I came here again. Very friendly service with a personal note - although I’m sure that they don’t remember me. They offer a classic Italian cuisine and especially great sea food and fish, but don’t expect too fancy modern kitchen. Got some great seafood salad with a home made sauce - from the menu of the day. Really a place I recommend!

Wir fragten ob sie denn noch Platz hätten für 2 Personen gegen 13 Uhr. Einige Tische waren noch nicht belegt da meinte der Herr, ohne Reservierung geht es nicht, aber 2 ältere Damen die auch nicht reserviert haben wurden gleich gesetzt. Wir waren wohl nicht die richtige Demografie. Also sehr aufpassen wenn man hier hingehen möchte, da man diskriminiert wird nur wegen seines Aussehens!!
