Ristorante Fiu in Münster

It's actually a really great restaurant, but the waiters were a bit strange at times, and to be honest, a bit arrogant. We went to Münster as three street photographers, and the street where the restaurant is located enchanted us. It was so beautiful, like a little piece of home, like a summer evening dream, and the waiters were like waking up. When we wanted to take pictures of the street, they pretended we were taking their photos!? Just weird. But I think I'd still go there for the atmosphere and the delicious chocolate.

I can only say good things about the restaurant. The food was excellent, both in terms of taste and appearance, the ambiance was wonderful, and the waiters were incredibly competent and friendly (especially the young man with the goatee). I would definitely come back!

Dear Sir or Madam, My wife and I would like to write to you with a complaint, as we were unfortunately very disappointed with our visit to your restaurant on Tuesday, August 26th. From the moment we arrived, we felt unwelcome. A blonde waitress looked at us for a while and, when we asked about a free table for two, responded in a tone that made us feel like we didn't belong – presumably because we were foreigners. We eventually found our own seats until another waitress (with black hair) later took over. My wife ordered a seafood pasta dish, and I ordered pasta with crab and homemade pesto. Unfortunately, we weren't initially offered any grated cheese. When we asked for it, we were given some, but discovered it was apparently leftovers from another guest – which we found very inappropriate. Due to these circumstances, especially the unfriendly service, we didn't leave a tip. The waitress reacted visibly annoyed and didn't even say goodbye. Overall, we felt disrespected during our visit and had the impression of being discriminated against. This was a very unpleasant experience for us, and we have decided not to visit your restaurant again.

Best steak in town. This slogan really fits here. It's obviously not for vegetarians. But this purist grill with its strict focus on grilled food and the resulting quality is great. The proximity to MoccaDor also allows for alternatives, although in my opinion, that's a sacrilege. Sitting in the vineyard in the summer is the icing on the cake. And... the proximity to the kitchen, watching the chef at work, seeing how your own dish is cut and prepared... very interesting. In the end, it's more than just going out for dinner.

We had an unforgettable evening at Ristorante Fiu! The seafood was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and simply perfectly prepared. From the moment we sat down, we were warmly welcomed by Jason, who made our evening truly special. He took the time to explain the menu to us, patiently going through all the options, and even used his phone to explain things we didn't understand—now that's what I call exceptional service! Thanks to Jason's advice, we tried additional dishes we wouldn't have otherwise considered, and they were simply fantastic. What touched us even more was Jason's humility. When we asked him his name to personally praise him, he refused to be mentioned alone, emphasizing how much of the magic was thanks to Phunc, the amazing chef in the kitchen. This noble gesture speaks volumes about the teamwork and dedication at Ristorante Fiu. Overall, this wasn't just a meal, but a wonderful experience. If you love seafood and excellent service, Ristorante Fiu is a must. We'll definitely be back!

Unfortunately the ambience doesn't match the quality of the food. Quality is top, unfortunately the ambience is a flop. The tables are too small and are too close together, making it too noisy in the restaurant. In my opinion, the price/performance ratio doesn't fit either. Not only should the quality and taste of the food be right, but also the setting around it. Really a shame...

NEVER EATEN SUCH A BAD RUM STEAK. Unfortunately, the reaction of the service staff to my criticism was subpar - when I ordered a Lugana I was told that you certainly don't like it either An absolute “NO GO STORE”

1. The food was very good and the portion was more than enough. 2. Service was okay. Unfortunately, an insert was forgotten and sometimes it took a while. 3. The atmosphere is very cozy and inviting.

Once we arrived we said we had booked and instead of looking at the reservation book we had to prove it by showing the number (we were stunned by all this because the general attitude was very rude). We sat outside and the place was very nice, but the waiter was incredibly rude and we honestly don't even know the reason because we don't speak German. When paying I told him that the spaghetti I had gotten was good (in Italian since he is Italian), he said danke and then turned around shouting something in German. Never received such poor and rude service. A shame because the place is really nice. The food was okay, but you can get much better.

A pleasure every time! To get you started there are three very tasty dips. The main course included a vegetable side dish with fish. The vegetable side dish is varied, very tasty and really not a run-of-the-mill side dish! The fish is well grilled and juicy. The staff is polite and attentive. Highly recommended - we are regular guests 😊

This grill room in the small Gasse is my favorite Italian restaurant. It's small, it's loud, it smells of pesto and freshly grilled fish and knofi, lively Italian all around me, soooo delicious dishes, fresh salads, ice-cold wine, particularly attentive staff. I can sit there for hours every time and eat and enjoy and chat and sip wine. Soooo MINE! The tables outside in the alley are overgrown with vines - always nice to sit there in summer. You can hardly tell how much I enjoy eating there, right??? :-)

That was nothing. At the next table there were actually 4(!) complaints from a total of 6 people. The bill was complained about at 2(!) other tables. Ok... maybe that's why the waiter was pretty annoyed and unfriendly, who knows. Unfortunately, we had to wait more than 30 minutes for our drinks and then no one came to take our food order. That felt like it took forever... The quality of the food was not appropriate for the high price. Nice atmosphere, but unfortunately spoiled by the stressed employees.

Nice place! Service is great! Very attentive and friendly! Food, oh well! I ordered rump steak - but got an entrecote. It was also overloaded with unnecessary vegetable scraps. Rosemary potatoes were covered in so many rosemary stalks that you couldn't eat any of the overcooked potatoes. But otherwise it's a nice place where seeing and being seen is celebrated.

We were at the Fiu restaurant on Saturday evening with 6 people. We ordered pizza once, otherwise meat and fish. Even though the pizza came a little early, the food was really tasty and the prices for the portions were very moderate. And we were served by two very nice waiters who were polite and courteous. The atmosphere is quite dark, but you feel very comfortable. We'd love to come back.

We went to Fiu Essen on Saturday evening because my sister had been there several times and always thought it was very good. Five of us ate there and we all didn't think it was great this time. There were two waiters on site and our waiter was completely overwhelmed. People asked for drinks relatively quickly, but they weren't brought until half an hour later (they were two flat waters). We also had an antipasti platter. Long after we had finished these and the two water bottles were empty, the waiter realized that he had forgotten about us. He then asked if we wanted new water. This took another 15 minutes, even though the kitchen was opposite. In addition, the new water bottles were placed on the table and the empty bottles, appetizer plates and bread baskets were not cleared away. We received our main courses about 1.5 hours after we ordered, which weren't particularly good. The swordfish was undercooked and the rump steak was well done, even though it was ordered medium rare. We won't come anymore. If you want to eat fish, you can try it. I would recommend another steakhouse for meat eaters.

I went to Ristorante Fiu on the recommendation of a long-time regular and am very happy about it. I was alone, arrived relatively early and didn't have a reservation, but the friendly waiter was still able to offer me a table. I really liked the atmosphere: you sit at dark wooden tables with small lamps that provide atmospheric light. Another reviewer described it as "Italian hectic and loud" and I can only confirm that - in a good way! (I recently had the same atmosphere in a trattoria in the middle of Verona 🤩) There was a lot going on in Fiu, the attentive waiter was dedicated to looking after all the tables. If there were 2 fewer people than planned when making a reservation, the table was immediately reduced in size so that a couple who came later could take a seat. Wonderful! I never had to wait long, he was pleasantly present - I really enjoy this kind of service! The selection of dishes is small but fine. (For a big pizza and pasta party, you'd rather go "next door" to the Mocca D'Or, it seemed, because there are only a few pasta dishes on the menu at Fiu - it's the grill restaurant). I had fresh fish from the grill, cooked excellently, with side dishes. The only thing I could really complain about would be that the cook was very economical with the salt - but that can easily be changed. Because of the open grill, your clothes smell clearly of food after visiting the restaurant - you just have to know. And that you also have to go through the Mocca D'Or to the Fiu (a restaurant within a restaurant, so to speak). I thoroughly enjoyed the visit and will definitely come back when I'm in Münster.

Chic, slightly smaller grill ristorante in the immediate vicinity of Mocca d'or. The focus here is, how could it be otherwise, meat and fish. Both lie fresh on ice on a counter before being put into the charcoal oven cleverly integrated into the dining room. Steaks, sea bream, monkfish, salmon etc. are served with rosemary potatoes and fresh seasonal vegetables. For those who prefer a vegetarian option, pasta is now also available, which, conveniently, is delivered a short distance from the Mocca d'or pasta factory. As a “fish eater”, as well as friends with whom I have eaten here several times, it has always tasted good every time I have visited Fiu. For the food, the friendly and attentive service and the overall very pleasant atmosphere it has to be given five stars

Gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Freundliches Personal. Schöne Lokalität im Centrum von Münster. Gerne wieder.

Das Restaurant ist meiner Meinung nach nicht zu empfehlen. Ein Kellner war alleine für den Service verantwortlich und dem entsprechend überfordert. Der service war daher recht bescheiden. Außerdem war der Geruch sehr unangenehm, durch die Zubereitung von Fleisch und Fisch in einem so schon kleinem Raum. Fisch war okay, beilagen bescheiden. Enttäuschend war besonders das Tiramisu, welches mit Sahne oder anderer Creme zubereitet wird und kaum Geschmack von Kaffee hatte. Hier das Originalrezept fürs besser machen: 12 egg yolks ½ kg of sugar 1 kg of mascarpone 60 ladyfinger biscuits coffee to taste cocoa powder.

Essen und Service waren sehr gut. Das Ambiente ist grds. auch okay, hat aber etwas von System-Gastronomie: Schnelle Abfertigung großer Kundenmengen. Wir waren aber auch Mitte Dezember da - ohne Reservierung - und das Lokal war komplett voll. Wir hatten den Tisch für 90 Minuten.

Das Fiu und das Mocca D‘Or sind beide tolle Restaurants und das seit vielen Jahren. Die Geräuschkulisse ist derweilen etwas lauter, aber es passt zum Ambiente, zur Stimmung und zur italienischen Kultur. Das Interior ist ansprechend gestaltet und der Service ist sympathisch. Das Essen schmeckt sehr gut, die Auswahl ist ebenfalls ordentlich und die Portionen können sich sehen lassen. Preislich liegt das Fiu im oberen Bereich, ebenso die Qualität des Essens. Great full packed restaurant. It is a very hectic place but it gives a vibe! The pasta Ragu is great for its price, pasta ravioli is also great with gorgonzola filling. If you go to this place I would recommend to take a pizza, these looked more satisfying than our pasta. They forgot my tea multiple times because of the hectic place but offered me a free one from the house instead.

Great Italian food. Nice wines.

Sowohl der Schwertfisch als auch das Steak waren sehr lecker. Der Grill Geschmack vom Holzkohlegrill ist einfach perfekt. Ein leckerer Wein und die Gemüse Beilage dazu und der leckere Abend kann los gehen. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Wirklich gutes Essen. Ich bin leider sehr selten in Münster, aber wenn gehe ich ins Mocca d'or oder ins angrenzende Fiu. Ich bin dort meist zur Mittagszeit und ich wurde noch nie enttäuscht. Höchstens, dass ich mal keinen Tisch bekommen habe. Alles immer extrem lecker. Selbst ich als bekennender Olivenhasser liebe die Oliventepanade vorweg... Vorbehaltlos zu empfehlen. Um die Mittagszeit etwas wuselig, aber der freundliche, aufmerksame und erfahrene Service behält den Überblick. Bei meinem nächsten Besuch in Münster seht ihr mich wieder 😊

Gegrillter Fisch wie am Mittelmeer. Top! Allerdings ließ die Aufmerksamkeit des Personals zu wünschen übrig. Hinter dem Kellner mehrfach hinterherzulaufen, macht keinen Spaß. Punktabzug gibts auch für die Akustik. Gespräche am Sechsertisch waren nur mit dem direkten Nachbarn in angenehmer Lautstärke führen.

Wir waren das zweite mal da. Diesmal oben die Treppe rauf. Die Idee sich unterhalten zu können war etwas beeinträchtig da hier alle sitzen wollten😂 Das nächste mal (kommt bestimmt) sitzen wir wieder unten. Die Pizzen haben uns grossartig geschmeckt😋

Gestern habe ich gemeinsam mit meiner Freundin im Fiu gegessen. Das Essen (Pasta mit Trüffel- Käse) war wie immer hervorragend. Leider hatte die Bedienung wohl einen schlechten Tag und der Herr ließ seine Laune an uns aus. Unfreundlich und mit einem rüden Tonfall wurde die Bestellung aufgenommen. Kein Brot, falsches Besteck zum Essen, der bestellte Salat wurde erst zusammen gestellt als unsere Pasta bereits auf dem Tisch stand usw. Stammgäste wurden dagegen anders behandelt. Schade, es hätte ein so schönes Mittagessen werden sollen... Getrübt durch den sehr schlechten Service. Dank dem Herrn im blauen Hemd.

Restaurante muy agradable. Diferentes ambientes dado que tiene varias salas e incluso una terraza que, por la noche, está ambientada muy bien. La comida buena a precios asequibles y con un servicio muy agradable. en definitiva: Muy bien.

Sehr schöner Abend mit Freunden und gutem Essen beim Italiener. Jung und Alt trifft sich hier und auch das Portemonnaie wird keinesfalls überstrapaziert.....

Die Speisen sind sehr gut! Wir waren mit 6 Personen dort und alle waren begeistert! Wir wurden allerdings, genervt und unfreundlich in Empfang genommen. Zum Glück hat die absolut freundliche, witzige und charmante Kellnerin, alles wieder gut gemacht, sodass wir uns wohl gefühlt haben! DANKE DAFÜR!
