The ambiance was nice and the service very friendly and competent. The gnocchi portion was tasty, but much too small for the price, and the pizza was mediocre.

We've always been very satisfied and have been there often. This time we ordered the gnocchi with truffles, but unfortunately, we received a portion of seven gnocchi, which was absolutely not enough for us, as the waitress confirmed. Unfortunately, the chef didn't even bother to approach us. We would have been happy with a side dish, as he knew we weren't full.

Nice atmosphere, delicious food. The pizzas are just sometimes a bit oversalted. Great ambiance, recommended for a first date.

The food and service was excellent

We were there for a business lunch on Thursday. The ambiance was nice and the drink service was good. But that was it. The food didn't arrive for an hour and forty-five minutes. The staff didn't respond to our inquiries. There were no free drinks to compensate for the wait. When the food finally arrived, however, it was very good. I can't give it more than two stars, though.

Basically OK, and the food was also tasteful, and the ambiance was lovely! Only with the antipasti dishes did things get a bit "weird" on two occasions, and misunderstandings led to additional charges. For example, a platter described as "suitable for two people" was ordered by only my guest. He received vitello and carpaccio including shrimp, but in a total quantity for a maximum of one person. However, the price was billed at the stated price in the above description. Also, no antipasti vegetables, cheese, etc. (whatever else is on it). So why doesn't the guest at least get the real platter? Mistake? It could be... but it should be avoided at all costs!

Simply a fantastic restaurant, with unbeatable value for money. I ate here several days in a row, and each meal surpassed the last. 🥰

We visited Buongiorno in Detmold and were absolutely thrilled. We ordered pasta and a pizza with fresh mushrooms. The pasta was cooked to perfection and served with a sauce that was incredibly aromatic and balanced. The pizza was a real highlight: a wafer-thin, crispy base, delicately melted cheese, and mushrooms that were so fresh and flavorful that they added a special depth to the whole experience. We also deserve a big compliment for the service. We were served by two employees – one blonde, one dark-haired – both consistently warm, attentive, and absolutely professional. Their advice, in particular, made us feel immediately at ease. Overall, a visit of the highest caliber – both culinary and service-wise. A clear 5 stars for us and a clear recommendation. We would be happy to return!

We spontaneously got a table without a reservation. The food (pizza/pasta) was excellent, as was the service. We'll definitely be back soon and are already looking forward to it 🙂

It's hard to imagine this restaurant calling itself Italian. Maybe they can make pasta? But the pizzas are beyond description and ridiculously expensive. One of the biggest disappointments in Detmold!

Exquisite food, delicious wine, good service.

We sat in an adjoining room for about 20 minutes without even getting a menu or being able to order. Then we got up and left. I've never experienced anything like that before, and we definitely won't be coming back.

A very nice restaurant with great service and delicious, fresh dishes. The vegetarian pasta dishes are highly recommended, and the San Sebastian cheesecake for dessert was also a dream! If we didn't live so far away, we would definitely come more often.

Unfortunately, the espresso was only mediocre and was served without a glass of water – a no-go in an Italian restaurant! This should be urgently reconsidered. The dessert, the St. Sebastian's cake, was also unfortunately not convincing.

While I was expecting the Italian dessert to be delicious at the Italian restaurant, unfortunately I experienced the most tasteless tiramisu I have ever eaten here.

By far the best Italian restaurant. I was very often in Italy and restaurants in Germany. Here EVERYTHING has been raised to a higher level. Thank you. Unfortunately I was only in Detmold for one day. I will definitely come back on (maybe) my next visit. I've already told everyone I know about it. Keep it up. Thanks!!

The waiters are not only super friendly, but also incredibly attentive and charming - you immediately notice that there are real professionals at work here who do their job with passion. Wishes are practically read from your eyes and special requests are no problem at all - every guest is really taken into account individually. And the food? Incredibly delicious! Every single dish is prepared with love, fresh, aromatic and simply a poem. Whether it's pasta, pizza or meat dishes - everything tastes like a short vacation in Italy. The ingredients are high quality, the portions are generous, and the price-performance ratio is absolutely right. I will definitely be back and can highly recommend Ristorante Buongiorno to everyone. Firstly the restaurant from the outside looked very cute. Inside as well, however the restaurant acoustics were terrible. It was so loud that you could not hear the person across the table. We ordered the pulpo salad and Vitello tonato. The pulpo was overcooked and not at all tender. There was lots of salad but not really much pulpo. The dressing was terrible and had way too much mustard overpowering the salad and pulpo. The vitello tonato was one of the very worst I have ever tried. Dried out pieces of meat with barely any sauce. Terrible. Bread was tasteless. We ordered the steak with potatoes and spinach. The spinach was over cooked and tasted like it sitting under a warming lamp. The potatoes were not hot. Steak was ok and cooked as I asked. Steak pice is quite high at 37 euros. My friend had the pizza with steak on top. Unfortunately it was delivered nearly 10m later without any apology. Just “here it is”. The service was mixed as well. There was a rather large man who I assume to be the boss because of his demeanor helping the devoid of any emotion waitress. Disappointing. Nice olive oil though.

You have to walk very close to the tables. That would have bothered me if I had sat there. Since there were awards everywhere for the best pizza in Detmold, I ordered one too. Unfortunately I have to say the pizza was just mediocre. The seasoning was missing, the dough was tough and the knives were dull. The price was simply too high for that. I tried my companions' food and found it tasty, but still very expensive. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant, but if you want to go there, you should do so.

Fine Italian cuisine and the best Italian restaurant we have ever been to. The restaurant is modern and stylishly furnished, we were immediately greeted in a friendly manner and shown to our table. Although the restaurant was busy, we didn't have to wait long for our food and drinks. Nice service with an open ear for questions and requests. Price performance absolutely fine. The ingredients were very fresh and tasty and beautifully presented. We are glad that we chose this restaurant for our wedding anniversary and would love to come back again. We ordered the carbonara and the grilled chicken with rosemary potatoes and Mediterranean broccoli. Highly recommended, but it's best to reserve in advance.

We ate there with the family for a birthday. We all really enjoyed it, adults and children. The service was very friendly, the food was really good. There were no long waiting times, which is sometimes difficult with children. We recommend this restaurant without reservation and would be happy to come back.

Win very nice restaurant with really good food; If you don't find anything tasty here, it's your own fault. We also recommend the wines. Unfortunately, we were a bit unlucky with our seat, right next to the toilets and in front of the half-open kitchen with the counter - so there was unfortunately a lot of commotion around us and it was difficult to integrate the seniors at the table into the conversation.

Not recommended! Disaster! We wanted to have a nice meal together with a group (38 people), but we were not allowed into the restaurant because of the number of people in our group. Bottomless impudence! But if 38 people ordered something individually, it wouldn't be a problem or what? It makes no sense. Unfriendly service, stale beer, the pizza was burnt from the bottom and tasted like burnt hair, inedible, I didn't get any money refunded and no apology, it was probably because I entered this restaurant alone and with a disability, no door was opened, I had to ask guests who helped me, the allocation of seats was discriminatory, thank you very much for the 30 euros I paid and the realization that as a disabled person I give something like that a wide berth.

Excellent food in a cozy half-timbered house. Crispy, well-filled pizzas and pizza breads; delicious pasta with unusual sauces and portions that fill you up well. We will be happy to come back!

No repeat for us. The salad ordered as the main course turned out to be not good. Underneath the visually (first impression) good-looking salad there were a lot of rotten and unwashed lettuce leaves. Clearly deliberately underplayed. After the complaint it was said succinctly that we should have complained about it earlier (as if the rot was initially well hidden). That would all be ok, but no excuse and we had to pay for the salad in full. I would say customer care looks different. Not recommendable. Editing: It is wrong and not true that we were offered a new dish! And when the rotten lettuce leaves are covered by good ones, you can make guesses. The service was not unfriendly and not friendly. In any case, there was no trace of regret and there was definitely no compensation of any kind!! So we had to pay in full, there was no offer of a replacement meal or a discount or, for example, an aperitif as an apology. Your answer is definitely wrong.

We came here with 7 people and a baby without any reservation! The price for 1 pizza and 1 big drink each was 18.60 per person.

We ate there this evening for a celebratory occasion and we enjoy going here. The service is excellent, the atmosphere is nice, the food is very tasty at reasonable prices. For the first time I ate spaghetti carbonara. It was very tasty, unfortunately the noodles were swimming in a lot of oil. I couldn't finish. Since it was very busy and some customers had complaints that evening (the table next to us as well), we didn't make a fuss about the full €13 for the pasta when we paid. Our (female) waiter discussed our pasta plate with the gentleman from the bar and another waiter. I would have found an accommodation hospitable.

Antipasti and pizza were good/tasty. We had to wait 1 hour between starter and main course. Maybe you should inform about longer waiting times before ordering (good restaurants do this) or give you a small amount of schnapps or something similar as compensation. The waitress only apologized when asked about the long wait.

Für einen Wochenendtrip haben wir (2 Paare) eine Lokalität über das Internet gesucht und gefunden. Buchungsanfrage über die Homepage geschrieben. Die Zusage kam schnell zurück. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen. Ein schöner Platz wurde uns in einer lauschigen Ecke zugeteilt. Der Service war wirklich gut, prompt, umsichtig und nicht aufdringlich. Die Karte ist vielseitig, alle fanden etwas, es ist für jeden was dabei, auch für Vegetarier. Zwischen Vorspeise und Hauptgericht wurde genügend Abstand gelassen. Oft wird alles viel zu schnell hintereinander serviert. Dies war hier angenehm anders. Wir haben einen rundherum schönen Abend verbracht. Wirklich niemand hatte etwas zu beanstanden. Die Qualität passte in jeder Hinsicht, wie auch das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis.

The edge is very crispy, unfortunately there is no particular taste. But the pizza is well topped and the price is completely okay.

Very nice atmosphere, very large selection of dishes that you would like to try all of them. The drinks menu is also very extensive. Even though the restaurant was full, the staff were quick, friendly and professional. I had tagliatelle with salmon, mushrooms and scampi, absolutely recommended!

Ich war schon öfter da, ob mit Freunden oder meinem Partner und es hat uns immer gefallen. Im Sommer kann man gut draußen sitzen, es wurde einem sofort ein Tisch zu gewiesen die Getränkekarte gegeben und man hatte gut Zeit sich etwas auszusuchen. Getränke kamen schnell, ich wollte damals in meinen Aperol etwas mehr Prosecco haben und es wurde sofort umgesetzt ohne Aufpreis. Wir haben da Pizza, Pasta, Vorspeisen und Suppen gegessen und es war alles immer sehr lecker! Wartezeiten waren auch nicht lang. Sehr empfehlenswert und würden immer wieder hin! Zum Wochenende würde ich empfehlen einen Tisch zu reservieren, sonst ist es schwer einen Tisch spontan zu bekommen.

We were squeezed in with a group of 10, which was very nice because they could have easily turned us away. We only had 1 hour for the food. But the service was very quick and friendly. Despite the large group, we all got our food quickly and at the same time. It was really very tasty. The pizza is highly recommended. A place where I would like to go again, but then I am smart enough to reserve in advance.

We had an actually delicious dinner, two main courses and three drinks as well as initially good service. However, the positive impression was clouded by the service staff, who then exchanged ideas with each other after payment about the supposedly low tip (7.5%), so that one could not ignore it.

Sehr leckeres Essen! Wir mussten kurz umdisponieren da wir einen Hund dabei hatten und bei einem anderen Restaurant dieser nicht erwünscht war. Hier jedoch war er herzlich willkommen und das war für uns gut. So kamen wir in den Genussvollen Geschmack der Italienischen Küche! Wir kommen auf jedem Fall wieder!
