Ristorante Bella Vista in Bad Salzungen

My salami had cheddar cheese on it. And this place calls itself an Italian restaurant.

We were there again. Everything was still very good. The service was very attentive and friendly. What more could you want? The price-performance ratio is excellent.

No seasoning in the food. Absolutely awful. The pasta practically fell apart off the fork in sheer desperation. Without any effort on my part. The sauce tasted like a carton of crushed tomatoes, only without any seasoning. Not even the cheese seemed to care about the pasta. The food was bad... that's all it had going for it. Considering the wait, and we ordered takeout, it was a complete waste of time.

We'd love to come back again! 😍 It was centrally located, the staff was very friendly, the interior was cozy, the food was really good and delicious, and the price/performance ratio was great! It was our first time there, we made a reservation, and there were two of us. We highly recommend it.

The waiter who served us was beyond unfriendly. Food was good. Service was awful. He was annoyed by our questions and even forgot my wife's order. Thanks, but never again.

We spontaneously stopped by this restaurant while strolling through the city center and got a table for lunch. The restaurant was quite full, and the service was generally okay. Unfortunately, our child spilled their drink, and we immediately informed the staff. Sadly, no one seemed to care, and the puddle was still there when we left. The food tasted good, but the desserts were unfortunately drowned in dessert sauce. We were only informed at the end that they didn't accept card payments. With some room for improvement, it's a decent restaurant.

We ate there in the evening at the beginning of October, unfortunately only once, as we were all in Bad Salzungen for rehab. The restaurant is cozy and beautifully decorated. The service is very attentive. The food was also very good, beautifully presented and delicious. I had a fish platter with various types of fish, vegetables, and rice. My companion had lasagna and pasta with salmon. If I ever find myself in Bad Salzungen again, I will definitely go there again. I highly recommend it.

A nice location in itself, but unfortunately the service was not good; I've rarely experienced someone so unmotivated. The food is delicious, but the price-performance ratio isn't right. The coffee machine breaks down 1.5 hours before closing time, so the traditional espresso is unfortunately not available after the meal. A real shame.

Very unfriendly staff. We were asked if we wanted something to eat. After only wanting an ice cream sundae at 2:30 p.m., we were treated very unfriendly. I've never experienced anything like it. Small special requests were immediately denied. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Beautiful restaurant. It's a wonderful place to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. The food looked delicious. I had the schnitzel with cream sauce, which was a bit too spicy for me personally, but otherwise good. The rest of the family loved it. The pizza was delicious and not greasy.

I ate here spontaneously while passing through and was pleasantly surprised! The food is great, the value is good, and the place is very nice!

Nice location on the market square, the pizza was good. The service was friendly, but rather slow.

Tap water in a jug cost 5 euros. The Aperol Spritz had more ice cubes than anything else, but it also cost 8 euros.

Unfortunately, it wasn't what I expected. The pizza and coffee weren't particularly tasty (I'm used to better), and there was a tiny bit of a hair on the pizza. The service didn't seem very professional either; all in all, I was disappointed. I went to Pizza Backhaus the next day, a few streets away, and it was much better. The stone-baked pizza there was worlds better and cheaper!

A very cozy restaurant where reservations are definitely recommended. The food is excellent, and the staff is friendly, attentive, and efficient. There's a large area under umbrellas in front, so you're right in the middle of the market yet still have a private spot. The restaurant is truly worth recommending, and we'll be back on our next visit.

I can't recommend this restaurant at all. I ordered the Bella Vista filet pan. The pork medallions had a fat crust, the "fried potatoes" were just boiled potatoes, and the onions were even raw! The seasonal vegetables were also cooked to varying degrees! The only thing that was good was the Köstrizer beer (you can't go wrong with that)!

I didn't go inside because the weather was pleasant. We sat outside. But it was cozy.

The waiter already had a look that told me I wasn't welcome. Even though the terrace was almost empty, I was assigned a table between a hedge and the wall of the house. And this is supposed to be Bella Vista. I advise the waiter to choose a different profession.

Anyone who enjoys delicious Italian food will find what they're looking for here. Three of us went there for lunch without a reservation, and at first we thought the relatively high prices were a bit steep. However, considering the portion sizes and the taste, the value for money is quite reasonable. You can sit outside, and there's also a separate ice cream menu. At the end, we were given a shot of schnapps on the house to aid digestion. Truly excellent!

I can't comment on the service or the atmosphere, but we weren't allowed to charge our e-bikes even though we wanted to eat and drink there. The Chinese fast food joint to the right gave us power for the bikes and food.

Well, that wasn't what we had hoped for. The five of us sat at a table for four (a chair was put out), but that wasn't what was requested and we were seated somewhere else. We asked for cake (the building at the top says restaurant, café, ice cream). There was no cake, however. We then ordered ice cream or ice cream chocolate. My ice cream chocolate came relatively quickly, but it was very warm. My parents' ice cream sundaes didn't arrive until my children and I had already finished (we would have liked to eat together). When we asked them about it, all they said was, "Yes, sorry, there were so many passers-by here." Erm, where exactly? Even if there were, they tell them they'll have to wait a moment. It was our first and last visit. What a shame.

Unfortunately, the food simply wasn't seasoned. The pasta sauce was bland and flavorless. The lasagna was completely lacking in seasoning. However, there was enough fat from the cheese in the sauce. The next table served a blonde pizza. It bent off the fork. Sorry, that's not acceptable.

Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio and the service are poor. We were there in July with two adults and a 2-year-old child. We had two salads for main courses, each costing €13 and €16. The salad quantity was very limited: 3 slices of cucumber, 3 pieces of tomato, leaf lettuce, and tuna and feta cheese. There was no bread. The wait staff ignored our comment that this was not enough for a main course. They asked us what they should make of that statement... The high chair for our son was brought only reluctantly, after half the food was eaten. Conclusion: Good location, poor service and food.

We ordered two pizzas to go. They were ready within the promised time and were decent for a fair price. The outdoor area on the market square also looked very inviting.

Unfortunately, we can't give this restaurant zero stars because it doesn't deserve any. We were seated in a very bad spot, given a menu, but weren't asked what we wanted to drink. A careless basket with a few slices of white bread and olives was placed before us, and that was it. We left after 15 minutes, but without eating. The staff were very unfriendly. Never, ever, ever again. Wouldn't recommend it.

Unfortunately, it wasn't the real thing. Considering the 20-minute wait, it tasted like nothing. The pasta was great, al dente, and the mussels were also great, but the rest of the seafood was unfortunately not up to scratch. The food was okay, but it didn't taste good. Unfortunately.

Nice outdoor area and a good location, near the lake. Unfortunately, the pizzas were only average. The amount of beef broth was shockingly small for €7. It also tasted more like chicken than beef. The €27 rump steak was hopelessly overflowing with gravy. Unfortunately, the service was severely understaffed. The server himself was good and friendly.

Warmth and hospitality are embodied at Bella Vista. We, a family with two children, felt completely at home. The food was extremely delicious, the ambiance was fantastic. The service was courteous and attentive. You can tell the passion that goes into making this place work. From now on, we will visit Bella Vista in Bad Salzungen again whenever we are in the area.

A love letter to my taste buds. The service was so warm and attentive that I almost felt like a regular guest - even though it was my first time there. Unfortunately a very disappointing experience. The staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. Our child accidentally spilled an apple spritzer - no reaction, no help, not even a question if we would like a new drink. Instead, just an annoyed eye roll. While we were still busy drying the table, the food was simply set down without comment. The absolute no-go: While we ate, people vacuumed and sprayed with Febreze right next to us. The smell was so pungent that we had to leave the restaurant early without being able to finish our meal. Definitely not a place we will return to.

Während wir noch damit beschäftigt waren, den Tisch zu trocknen, wurde uns das Essen einfach kommentarlos abgestellt. Das absolute No-Go: Während wir gegessen haben, wurde direkt neben uns gesaugt und mit Febreze gesprüht. Der Geruch war so penetrant, dass wir das Restaurant vorzeitig verlassen mussten, ohne unser Essen beenden zu können. Definitiv kein Ort, an den wir zurückkehren werden.

Unfortunately that wasn't the case today. I was looking forward to the evening, but unfortunately the food had some deficiencies. My spaghetti was drowned in a cream sauce. When asked for additional parmesan I was told that this costs extra. I was happy to accept this to spice up the boring taste. Regardless, it was the arrogant and bored appearance of the service that ultimately ruined the evening for me. A lot of money for mediocre at best, a shame

Hello! We are totally disappointed with the BellaVista! At the beginning the service and food was great! Today, unfortunately, the complete opposite! It started with an unfriendly and annoyed waiter... who had to bring a children's chair that wasn't even 100% intact! We went there with the family including a small child! The order was taken by everyone! After more than an hour, everyone received food, except the child with the children's menu! That's not possible at all and borders on bad service! So more minutes passed! In the end we took the food home and ate it there...because it was no longer possible!!! It doesn't work at all!!!

I experienced rudeness from the staff! When I arrived at the restaurant no one greeted me. I sat down at my chosen table. After three minutes the bartender came up to me and asked what I needed and if I would ask to sit at that table. Next he said in a rude voice that I should have asked before sitting down! The waiter spoke rudely and with a raised voice! I just got up and left!

Rarely have I had such a bad Italian meal. The parade discipline “Carbonara” was thrown into the sand. The egg curdled and instead of bacon, there was cooked ham. So there were egg noodles with cooked ham. The sauce for the other dish was very thick and had little to do with sauce. Service was friendly. The food and drinks arrived quickly. But it took quite a while before we were able to pay our bill. Ambiance was OK. There were fresh flowers on the table and a real candle was lit.
