Il Duca in Bad Salzungen

We walked around Lake Burgsee today, November 3rd, 2024 at around 12:30 p.m. We thought it would be a good idea to eat there. There were still a few seats available and I asked if there was still a table available for 6 people. 4 adults, 2 children and dog. The waiter said he didn't have any space available. None of the tables had a “reserved” seat and there were still a few seats available. I think the waiter didn't feel like having children or dogs. Very unfortunate. We then went to the “Haunscher Hof” where we were warmly welcomed and served.

Very nice welcoming restaurant. Menu manageable. Dishes Very fresh and tasty. You are always welcomed in a very friendly manner, and the order was also carried out quickly. A tip: The ice cream tastes delicious, go ahead and try it.

I don't understand the rating for food. To charge a price of 13.50 euros for a salad without herbs and with lots of corn, little tuna and very bad balsamic cream. Really hard.

We were able to enjoy dinner in the sun on the terrace.

We had a delicious meal and were able to enjoy the view of the Burgsee at dusk.

The food was OK I would have liked to enjoy the view of the lake... but the waiter was of the opinion that I had to sit where HE told me to just because I was there alone!! Well, that was the last time I was there!!

Everything except the service was great, took a long time to get to us and we're kind of rude.

The food was only warmed up after I asked the waiter and he told me he would prepare everything fresh in the morning. We were there at 5:30pm because the fried vegetables were four slices of potatoes and one slice of pepper and two thin slices of zucchini. Everything tasted like it was from the day before. We ate almost nothing and still had to pay the entire price. If you want to eat something decent, you should look for something else.

Very, very warm, the outdoor area was very nice, good food and at the end espresso and grappa on the house. What more do you want. We are delighted and excited. Absolutely recommended!!!!!

A wonderful pizzeria where the price-performance ratio is absolutely fair, with extremely friendly service. I can only recommend this location, my family and I will definitely eat there again

I ate a tiramisu in the patio there. But I didn't think it was really Italian. It didn't taste like coffee or amaretto, the cream tasted more like whipped cream than mascarpone and the typical cocoa layer was missing, but there were splashes of chocolate sauce. That was disappointing. I didn't eat any other dishes in the restaurant so I can't comment on them. The location is very nice with a view of the lake.

Since it opened, we have been visiting the restaurant regularly and very much. 😁 The location by the lake is very nice and the food tastes excellent. It has now become our favorite Italian restaurant. The employees and especially the boss are always helpful, friendly and leave nothing to be desired. When we eat there, we feel like we are with friends. It cannot be compared to any other restaurant in the area. Thank you for the great service! We always enjoy coming back. An unbelievably bad performance... Starter: Mozzarella came to our table from a discount store and felt at least as uncomfortable as the iceberg lettuce...Which in turn knew that it didn't go with this starter... watched by 3 unfortunate slices of white bread that made their way in, at least not alone but together with the mozzarella Found a restaurant... Main course: (Un)Fortunately we had to keep our Mitropa cutlery from the starter so that the bent fork had now gotten used to my hand... SPAGHETTI AGLIO E OLIO was ordered including shrimp... Spaghetti was served which was at least aldente...unfortunately it had as little to do with olive oil and garlic as the previously described iceberg lettuce with a caprese plate.

We had garlic soup and capriccio as starters. The garlic soup was based on a tomato soup, so something like that is not real garlic soup. If you do something like that, you should point it out on the map. The carpaccio was littered with cocktail tomatoes, which don't belong there. Afterwards we had spaghetti carbonare. This had nothing to do with real spagetti carbonare. They were completely overloaded with parmesan. So if a restaurant claims to have real Italian and very good cuisine, then I expect this too. My expectations were not met. The service also leaves something to be desired as he rarely checks on the guests.

Uns hat sehr gut gefallen! Das Ambiente war sehr schön und das Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt! Wir waren in Dezember und haben wir dort gefeiert, alles war Toll!

Essen war sehr lecker und das Personal war sehr freundlich, obwohl das Restaurant sehr voll war das Essen ist schnell gekommen und war sehr frisch und sehr lecker! Alles gute!

Wanted to go on Sunday around 3 p.m To drink a cup of coffee. We. There were four people. Even though the entire right side was clear, the operator didn't let us assumed. The free side is intended for dinner. It's terrible. No place for a cup of coffee. We would have been gone again after an hour. Still enough time for guests for dinner. Never again in this restaurant

Both the food and the service were excellent. We were there in the evening, but the view from the large windows with the lake and the wide view would probably also be very nice. Would certainly want to sit on the terrace in the summer. That reminds me: a brunch there would be great.

Sehr leckeres Essen zu absolut vernünftigen Preisen. Das Servicepersonal wirkt etwas gestresst ist aber freundlich und aufmerksam. Unsere Hunde waren auch willkommen. Man sitzt auf der Terrasse nur durch einen Fußweg vom romantischen See getrennt.

Ausgezeichnete italienische Gerichte, frische hausgemachte Pasta und leckere Desserts zu angemessenen Preisen - und das alles mit einem phantastischen Blick auf den See - uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert

Essen war ganz gut, Bedienung freundlich, aber warum gibt es bei einem Italiener keine Pizza 🍕? Bei dem Vorbesitzer gab es auch sehr gute Pizza.

Super nettes echt italienisches Personal mit guten Deutschkenntnissen. Essen hervorragend, einheimisch italienische Speisen. Gott si Dank mal keine Pizza. Es schmeckt wie bei Mama zu Hause (Bologna). Man sitzt gemütlich am Burgsee mit Blick zur Fontäne und Kurhaus. Selbstgemachtes Eis eher auf Wasserbasis schmeckt sehr gut. Es hat uns wirklich sehr gefallen.

Familienessen. Alles bestens. Essen und Service gut. Alles Gute für die Zukunft. 👍Weiter so.

I was just there. I’ve been there more or less every day for the past three weeks, due to a work contract in a nearby city. The food is great, the service is polite and the location is great. I like that its a family business and the host gets personal at starts a conversation at times. Thank you so mutch for all the great food and you friendly service.

Ambiente draußen am See ist sehr schön. Der Service ist durchschnittlich. Einige verstehen kein deutsch, sind aber bemüht und freundlich. Das Essen ist stark gewürzt, wirkt teilweise nach Fertigzutaten. Geschmacklich leider nicht so gut. Und es es gibt keine Pizza 🍕 🙁

Essen ist gut wenn auch nicht das Beste in der Stadt. Lage natürlich top, direkt am See. Service sehr freundlich aber leider wird man immerwieder vergessen und einfach sitzen gelassen, trotz Erinnerung. Auch wenn nicht viel los ist, ist der Service echt unorganisiert und verpeilt.

Die Klassiker bestellt ( Lasagne, Cesars Salat, Tortellini und Tiramisu ) Selten so gut gegessen. Portionen waren großzügig bemessen und fair bepreist.

Specijaliteti domace kuhinje odlicno, raspored stolova odlican, jako lijep ugodaj, hrana fina i ukusna, a osoblje ljubazno i pristojno

Das Personal ist sehr nett! Die Küche eigentlich schon schließen wollte, wie zwei Gerichte noch mal zubereitet. Risotto mit Meeresfrüchten und Tagliatelle mit Lachs waren sehr gut! Kann man nur empfehlen. 5 Sterne. Leckere Speisen mit Blick auf den See.

Sehr scönes Restaurant am See, Essen ist super lecker und die Bedienung ist sehr Nett. Ich empfehle es weiter auf jeden Fall. Weiter so!

Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und bekamen einen Tisch am Fenster. Es war nicht viel los und die Bestellung der Getränke und des Essens ging schnell und reibungslos. Die Getränke waren zügig am Tisch und auch das Essen hat nicht sehr lange auf sich warten lassen. Die angeblich hausgemachte Pasta lies vermuten, dass man Dinge auf dem Teller haben würde, die eine besondere Note haben würden. Es kam u.E. nach normale „Industrieware“, die ich bei jedem Discounter erwerben kann. Die Gnocchi schwammen in einem Meer von Soße, die wenig mit Tomaten zu tun hatte. Das kriege ich daheim ohne große Mühe besser hin. Unser Essen hielt überhaupt nicht was es laut Karte versprach. Wir können uns nicht vorstellen woher diese tollen Bewertungen kommen. Bitte wieder richtig kochen, dann ist alles gut

Wir waren das 2. Mal hier und das Essen war super lecker. Die Einrichtung ist toll und der Service ist sehr gut. Die Getränke wurden schnell serviert und das Essen kam dann dementsprechend etwas später, was auf frisch zubereitet hinweist. Alles in allem ein tolles Restaurant in toller Umgebung am Burgsee. Weiter so. Wir kommen wieder.

zur Mittagszeit auf ein Hauptgericht sind einfach zu lang. Und zwar nach 13.00h bei wenigen weiteren Gästen unter der Woche. Desorganisation in der Küche, Strategie um mehr Getränke zu verkaufen? Die Lage am See ist ganz schmuck, die Terrasse durchaus schön. Besucht haben wir das Restaurant auf der Durchreise zu viert im Juli. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis für das Essen ist mittelprächtig.
