Food was great, but a bit loud.

For my father's birthday, a small family gathering, we ordered three portions of ravioli and one salmon pasta to take away from this restaurant, which has a very good reputation. We arrived home after about a 5-minute drive. What went wrong? The ravioli portions were so small, one person could have easily finished them alone! The salmon pasta was so large that my father couldn't eat it, which unfortunately didn't help the others much! Each dish cost €16.50!! This difference was simply too great!! It looks like two portions were divided into three due to a mistake that was noticed too late! It's a shame, this could have been handled differently! The money is now gone, and our impression of the restaurant is no longer so positive!!

A very nice restaurant! I had reserved two places a week in advance to celebrate my birthday that evening. The table was beautifully decorated, with glittery Happy Birthday letters, flowers, and the napkins were beautifully folded. It was an all-around wonderful evening. The wine that was recommended to us went very well with our dishes. The food was absolutely delicious, even the pasta was handmade and cooked to perfection. Thank you so much again, and of course, I would definitely recommend it!

We had a salad, which was unfortunately a bit bland and simple. Both pizzas, however, were truly delicious, and the dessert was also very tasty. The service was generally good. The young man who served us was very attentive and courteous. So why only 3 stars? First, we were sitting outside, and the music was simply annoying. It only played for a few seconds before the sound cut out. It continued like this throughout the evening. When we complained to the waiter, they simply said that it was annoying, but there was no other way. That was the end of the matter for the waiter. Other guests also complained about the music. This is simply unacceptable and should not be imposed on their guests. Second, the prices are simply too high for a simple pizzeria. Even though the food was consistently good, the prices are simply too high. And last but not least, the cutlery. The knives for our pizzas were simply blunt. Upon request, we were given two new knives. Same result. We weren't able to cut properly with it. We wouldn't visit this pizzeria again, at least not until they get their outdoor audio issues under control.

Unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed with our visit. The waiters, including the manager, weren't particularly friendly and were quick to "get us through." The food was okay, but we had hoped for much more in terms of taste and overall experience. What particularly struck us was that older regulars were greeted and served very warmly, with lots of smiles and attention—something we unfortunately missed at our previous visit. It's a shame, though. We were looking forward to a pleasant evening, but unfortunately, we weren't treated in a way that made us feel welcome.

Every visit is an experience in itself; it's the little details that make this restaurant one of the best and, above all, tastiest restaurants in the area! The food is a delight with every bite, the servers are cheerful yet professional, and they do everything they can to make their guests happy. I enjoy every visit to Bella Roma and am already looking forward to the next time!

Unfortunately, our experience with the restaurant was not very positive. This restaurant was recommended to us by a local gentleman, as we were only in Bad Harzburg for a day trip. When we entered the restaurant, the greeting was rather unfriendly, actually the opposite of what you'd expect at an Italian restaurant. We sat down, and the waiter brought us some bread, olives, and a dip. The bread (baguette) was definitely old and from the day before. It was extremely dry and hard. The starters and main courses we ordered, on the other hand, were very tasty and generously prepared. When we wanted to pay, we noticed a discrepancy between our bill and the menu. When we asked the waiter about it, he told us it was a variable price for the day. He offered us a refund, but we never received it; it was simply ignored! The shortcoming in this restaurant is clearly the service, as we observed that the employees are overly friendly to regulars rather than tourists, and that's a no-go!

A really good "Italian" restaurant in Bad Harzburg. We went there twice. The bean soup to start with is absolutely amazing, and the tomato soup is also truly fantastic! We had one "penne al forno" and one pizza with ham, as well as two salads. Honestly: Pizza is debatable, but this was the best I've ever eaten!

This was the worst pizza I've ever eaten. Barely any toppings, an incredibly thin layer of tomato paste. Overall, the pizza tasted almost entirely of dough. And for more than 15 euros, it was a completely unreasonable price.

From Wedding Anniversary to Horror Picture Show – Bella Roma in Bad Harzburg It should have been a lovely evening: our wedding anniversary, a relaxed Italian meal, and then a trip to the movies. We had made reservations early at Ristorante Bella Roma – with great anticipation. What we experienced instead was a lesson in wasting time, disrespect, and how not to treat guests. Arriving right on time for opening at 5:30 p.m., we were warmly greeted and seated outside. A small appetizer was served – all good so far. We placed our order. And then… nothing arrived for a long time. Exactly 60 minutes – that's how long we waited for our starters. Despite repeated polite inquiries and the clear indication that we had planned a movie. Other guests who arrived after us had long since received their main courses or had already left the restaurant. We sat there – waiting, put off, ignored. After a full hour, the appetizers finally arrived – without apology, without explanation. My wife received her soup, I received my bruschetta. Or so I thought. Because as I picked up the second piece, the low point came: A long, black hair – under the bread. Not on top, but underneath. I calmly spoke to a member of staff – later revealed to be the owner. I made it clear that I didn't want a replacement appetizer, but simply wanted to inform her. Polite, calm, matter-of-fact. What followed was simply disrespectful: The owner came back and said that no one with long, dark hair works in the kitchen – and pointedly looked at my wife. We were actually accused of having placed the hair there ourselves. Seriously? By then, it was clear: Here, guests aren't taken seriously, but treated as a nuisance. Our appetites had vanished anyway, so we got up. At the cash register, I tried to remain friendly, explained the situation, and said that after this wait, the hair, and the insinuation, we were leaving – understandable, right? The reaction: "The order has been placed, this isn't acceptable." Only when they apparently realized that the packed restaurant could witness the escalation did they waive payment – ​​how generous. But it went even further: While my wife was speaking at the bar, she was apparently verbally assaulted by a regular customer – something I only discovered as I was leaving. When I confronted the man about it, he immediately fell silent. Conclusion: If you like extremely long waits, poor hygiene, disrespectful behavior, and an atmosphere of complete indifference – fine. Everyone else should save yourself the evening. And to the team: Please spare yourself any justifications or the usual "You're not in our system." We were there. We experienced it. And we certainly won't forget this evening – albeit unfortunately for the wrong reasons.

The ambience is very upscale and of high quality as well as a very welcoming atmosphere. The food is very tasty and natural without a lot of flavor enhancers. The espresso was very well prepared, which not every Italian restaurant can manage, even though they have high-quality portafilters. Service is quick and friendly. Price a bit high, but large portions. I can recommend it.

We recently had dinner at this Italian restaurant. All in all, we can recommend the restaurant. Service is very attentive and the atmosphere is also very nice. The only point of criticism was that the saltimbocca was not made from veal (as described on the menu), but rather pork. When asked about this, the answer was that the veal was out and, as an exception, it was prepared with pork. You can believe it, but you don't have to. As compensation there was a grappa on the house! We would definitely visit the restaurant again.

we are locals and visited this place in 2019 and it is a completely different place now. The owners have completely renovated everything and it is ten times better. They have really improved. It's completely refreshed with a stunning new menu. The location makes it a hidden gem as you wouldn't expect a corner restaurant here, but there is one and you have to try it. What's also brilliant is that it's open on Tuesdays, the day 90% of the restaurants in Bad Harzburg are closed. We ordered a pizza and tagliatelle with salmon. Really very tasty. Great service. The staff is attentive and caring. Really well done. We will certainly come back with friends.

The food, seafood spaghetti and pasta with fennel salsiccia, was exceptionally tasty. A fresh selection of seafood, mussels, vongole, scampi, pieces of pulpoarmen, pieces of squid. The scampi on top was floury and not deveined. You can do without that. The sauce on the plate was excellent. Salsiccia with pasta, very good. A nice strong meat sauce. Now the service: 5 different waiters at our table, 3 of whom asked the same question about drinks and food. We had obviously been finished for a long time (12 minutes), service was gone. We waited just as long for the bill, which was only due to me getting up and asking the waiter 2 meters away for the bill. No tipping! I hope that was just an unfortunate snapshot, because the food was tip top! The ambience is late 80s, harmoniously furnished, a little journey back in time.

A very mixed experience in this restaurant. We waited 40 minutes. on our food. The food is well-crafted, a little unseasoned. But it doesn't blow your mind, but the prices are rather high. Unfortunately the bruschetta was soggy, so I recommend you de-seed the tomatoes then you won't have any problems with it. We asked if the dip on the bread was freshly made and if there was egg in it. The waiter disappeared, came back and said he couldn't say for sure if it was fresh, but there was egg in it. You are a restaurant, each of you has to be able to list in your sleep what ingredients are in the food and how it is prepared, that is your job. The outside area urgently needs to be swept and the weeds between the stones removed. The chairs are okay, but don't invite you to linger. A high chair and children's cutlery for our child were not offered.

Eigentlich eher durch Zufall sind wir im Bella Roma Essen gegangen, für Harzburger Verhältnisse schon relativ spät. Als kleinen Gruß aus der Küche gab es selbstgemachtes Brot mit Oliven und knoblauchcreme. Gut, schwarze Oliven sind nicht so unsere Sache, seitdem wir gesehen haben wie die hergestellt werden. Das Brot und die Creme waren hervorragend, daher haben wir gleich einen Nachschlag bekommen :) Dadurch wurde die Wartezeit auch erheblich verkürzt, denn etwas Zeit muss man schon mitbringen. Wir hatten einmal Nudeln mit Parma-Schinken und Rucola, der absolut in Ordnung war, auch wenn man hier schon Gegenteiliges gelesen hat. Die Nudeln und die auch die Pizza waren genau so wie man sich das beim Italiener vorstellt. Die ganze Familie (Familienbetrieb seit 33 Jahren) sind überaus freundlich und wir haben einen sehr schönen Abend auf der kleinen Terrasse verbracht. Auf jeden Fall weiter zu empfehlen!

The meal took a while. The seafood spaghetti was delicious. The pasta with zucchini was a little bitter and the one with salsiccia was slightly salty. At the end there was an error in the bill, and at least €125 for a family of 2 adults + 3 children. So overall a nice evening but worth a maximum of 3 stars. Next time we'll try something different.

Were there last Saturday. Service was overloaded and the boss seemed stressed. If you already have a staff shortage, you shouldn't fill the restaurant to the last seat. Pizza wasn't what we expected and you didn't get what you ordered. Hence so few points.

Wir waren vor knapp zwei Wochen im Bella Roma essen. Ca. 1 1/2 Stunden haben wir auf unser Essen gewartet und einige Speisen kamen auch falsch (eine andere Soße, andere Nudeln,…). Ich habe Kalbsfleisch gegrillt mit Rucola und Parmesanstreifen gegessen. Am darauffolgenden Tag klagte ich über Übelkeit, starkem Erbrechen, Schüttelfrost und Gliederschmerzen. Demnach ist anzunehmen, dass ich diese Symptome leider durch das Essen bekommen habe und mit großer Wahrscheinlichkeit der Rucola schlecht war oder gar nicht gewaschen wurde. Auch die Bedienung hat vieles durcheinander gebracht und wirkte nicht sehr professionell. Die Preise sind zudem auch überzogen. Wenn man ein gutes italienisches Restaurant in Bad Harzburg sucht, sollte man lieber wo anders hingehen als ins Bella Roma!

The wafer-thin slices of high-quality beef literally melted on the tongue, while the harmonious combination of olive oil, lemon and parmesan enchanted the palate. A fillet steak was served as the main course. It exceeded all expectations and was fried to perfection, wonderfully crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. Each bite was a feast for the senses, reflecting the high quality of the ingredients and the care taken in preparation. In summary, Bella Roma offers a dining experience not to be missed. The combination of excellent food, warm service and an atmosphere that invites you to linger makes it a must for every lover of Italian cuisine. First of all, I can't say anything about the food, but I can say about the rest: We wanted to go out for something to eat on Sunday evening (Easter Sunday) (without a reservation) and tried our luck at this Italian restaurant. We knew our chances were bad, but sometimes you get lucky. So we went into the store and waited for a waiter. After a few moments he came towards us and looked very arrogant. When we asked him if we were lucky, we received an answer that was full of arrogance and in a very loud voice, and I quote: 'Which Italian restaurant can you get a seat at without a reservation?' They say that the tone plays the music, we no longer played music after a number like that, which half the restaurant heard. We were then offered a table, about 40 minutes later - which we politely declined. I have rarely experienced such a “snap”, arrogance and arrogance from an Italian... You should be careful how you talk to a guest and not attack them. You could also have pointed out in a friendly way that unfortunately little is possible in the shop without a reservation and that If you have a table free in 40 minutes, then nothing would have happened. It's a shame, but it seems like there's no need for any more guests here. For your information, we got a table at the Italian restaurant 2 streets away without a reservation and the food was very good and we were treated as guests in a friendly and courteous manner :-)

Ordered a table but when we arrived a table had to be rearranged for us Initially there was a wait for service, then it was fine. FOOD very good, only gnocchi with gorgonzola very salty.

It's always beautiful at Bella Roma. The ambience is perfect and the food is particularly enjoyable. Unfortunately, the otherwise excellent sole was not filtered well. Very torn apart... And then cold. It's a shame... Because the price is not without its price.

Very tasty food. No standard pizzas. The staff is attentive and friendly. Definitely within the price range. Very clean and cozy atmosphere.
