Quite stopped. Super friendly staff. Very tasty food. Very clean, nice music, just great.

Unfortunately, despite having booked in advance and being a disabled person, we were given a seat in the far corner next to a dog table - fortunately, after long discussions, we were able to move!

Unfortunately not as I imagined. The pizza sounded good. Pizza Agrumi for €17.90 with smoked salmon, orange slices, green salad and parmesan slices... sounds good... but the orange came with the peel, which made the pizza bitter. Unfortunately I didn't find any parmesan slices and the pizza was very dry, so I didn't need a dressing like this. Honey/dill would have been nice, the bit of cream cheese in the middle didn't help, or maybe an Italian version of a sauce. My companions were missing the rosemary potatoes when they asked, but they were given fried potatoes, which unfortunately had nothing to do with the order. The staff was friendly and unfortunately apparently overwhelmed and even unfriendly. When I visit an Italian restaurant in this price range I expect hospitable perfection and delicious food but unfortunately I was very disappointed with my meal. Unfortunately, the same thing happened to my companions. Unfortunately very disappointing. The owner has died and the family is probably grieving but the quality should still be kept high. We definitely won't be coming back.

It was a very nice restaurant, friendly staff who always asked if everything was OK. Our food was very tasty and plentiful. We found the price and performance justified. The only negative point is that the toilets can only be reached via a staircase downstairs. The toilet bowls are also very deep, making it very difficult for disabled people. Especially since there are no handles to help you get up. The operators should do that think about whether this could be changed.

Visited Ristorante Antonio Lava for the first time. Nice atmosphere, very tasty food, very friendly service. Dogs were allowed in the restaurant! We really liked it! (We had bruschetta as a starter, veal leather and tagliatelle with black truffle as a main course, at the end an espresso and in between Aperol spritz, red wine, Cola Zero, Campari) Buon appetite!

Dear Lava team and dear future guests, We have been coming to this restaurant regularly for years and are thrilled every time. We love the delicious pizza, whether with seafood or the classic with salami. Always filling and delicious. The variety of the exquisite wine list leaves nothing to be desired. We always enjoy our favorite wine in beautiful glasses and perfectly chilled. Our absolute favorites are the Fritto Misto, Bruschetta, Pizza Pane, Pizza Frutti di Mare, Gamberoni alla griglia with Spaghetti Aglio Olio, and because it's so divine, Panna Cotta with fruit to finish. But you should always take time to look at the daily menu with special fish and meat variations. The pappardelle with truffle spreads its scent throughout the restaurant. My favorite at the moment is: * Pulpo Carpaccio on a fennel salad with pine nuts and lemon oil.* It can go on like this forever with enjoyment and comfort. We are always greeted warmly and sent off with a limoncello or espresso on the house. Unfortunately, we can't understand the not so friendly reviews. Sometimes you have to smile a little when you read how guests felt and we noticed the scenario from the next table. The reporting is always very one-sided. We are all just human and everyone is allowed to make mistakes. We recommend this restaurant with a 10/10! If you have a little patience, understanding and mindfulness, you are sure to have an unforgettable culinary evening.

We were there with two children and my parents. The restaurant half empty. We politely asked for a table. The waiter rudely dismissed my father with a very derogatory gesture and told him we should leave. He hasn't even spoken yet. The children were calm and everyone involved was well dressed. Incredible! I've never experienced anything like that. Don't go there with children. Couples and a much older audience seem to be there just to be desired. Very bad impression. I worked for a very well-known company in Bad Zwischenahn for a long time, but I have never experienced such impudence here or anywhere else.

Very nice restaurant from the outside and inside! Since there was of course a lot going on, waiting time wasn't a problem. The starter (capriccio & bread with herb butter) was also delicious but especially the beef capriccio was great! And our main course was a steak with a side dish and a calzone for my wife. We were really excited

After I had the culinary experience of the third kind a long time ago... (risotto with porcini mushrooms that turned out to be dry long-grain rice) I was happy to forego further culinary experiences. A few days ago, after we happened to meet friends (regulars) in passing on the terrace and sat down, we were thrilled by the pasta with chanterelles. The service was also OK. For this reason we went there again a few days ago and hoped to repeat the positive experience. With 50% occupancy in the restaurant and the terrace, it took 30 minutes until we were able to deliver the menus and take the order. There was then bread and herb butter. What was probably herb butter at some point appeared to be yellow in color, rancid, inedible and semi-liquid. The only people who would have been happy about it would have been the people from the health department... My request to free us from this sight was then met with visible incomprehension. The head waiter then delivered a replacement, but without any word or apology. The herb butter that was then delivered was visually OK, but a taste test was not possible because it was frozen rock hard. The beef fillet of the carpaccio was well "hidden" under plenty of rocket and parmesan and was not able to leave a certain taste on the palate... The tagliatelle with black truffles was decently cooked. Unfortunately, I couldn't understand why they were tossed in a neutral sauce. The black shaved truffles were without ANY aroma and without ANY taste!!! Very obviously cheap Chinese truffles (Tuber Indicum). I then let about 1/3 go back. I very consciously answered the waiter's question about whether it was tasty with "no comment" in order not to attract attention in the interest of the restaurant. However, the question was specifically asked three times and my assessment of this dish was therefore clearly audible... I would define the service, with the express exception of the nice Italian lady, as inappropriate for a restaurant in this price range combined with a certain arrogance. Obviously you have to work your way up to becoming a regular... It's also "nice" to realize that you're being systematically cheated when ordering wine!!! The order of 0.25l wine (as stated on the menu) comes in a 0.20l glass poured exactly up to the calibration mark!!! Never again. Finally, a request to Ms. Lava: Please spare us and all readers your comments/instructions, which would only further reinforce our negative impression.

The Ristorante Antonio Lava has style. This is certainly also due to the fact that the eponymous patron set the bar very high for his employees throughout his life. Result: The service does a perfect job. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't know what good service is. The cuisine is beyond reproach (exception: tomato salad, sorry). The ambience suggests significantly higher prices. But the prices are really moderate. I could eat here every evening.

Very long waiting time, we came at 6 p.m., we got the starter quickly and then we waited until 8 p.m. for the main courses. There were three of us, so not a big group.

Nachdem ich vor längerer Zeit das kulinarische Erlebnis der Dritten Art hatte... (Risotto mit Steinpilzen das sich dann als trockener Langkornreis herausstellte) habe ich herzlich gerne auf weitere kulinarische Erfahrungen verzichtet. Nachdem wir vor einigen Tagen zufällig Freunde (Stammgäste) im Vorbeigehen auf der Terrasse getroffen haben und uns dazu gesetzt haben waren wir von den Nudeln mit Pfifferlingen begeistert. Auch der Service war OK. Aus diesem Grund waren wir vor einigen Tagen erneut dort und hatten gehofft die positive Erfahrung zu wiederholen. Bei 50% Belegung im Restaurant und der Terrasse hat es 30 Min. gedauert bis man in der Lage war die Speisekarten zu liefern und die Bestellung aufzunehmen. Es gab dann vorweg Brot und Kräuterbutter. Das was zu irgendeinem Zeitpunkt wohl mal Kräuterbutter war zeigte sich äußerlich schon als gelb verfärbt, ranzig, ungenießbar und halb flüssig. Die Einzigen die sich darüber gefreut hätten wären wohl die Herrschaften des Gesundheitsamtes gewesen... Meiner Bitte uns von diesem Anblick zu befreien wurde dann mit sichtbarem Unverständnis nachgekommen. Es folgte dann durch den Oberkellner eine Ersatzlieferung, jedoch ohne jedes Wort oder Entschuldigung. Die dann gelieferte Kräuterbutter war optisch OK, ein Geschmackstest war jedoch nicht möglich da steinhart gefroren. Das Rinderfilet des Carpaccio war gut unter reichlich Rucola und Parmesan "versteckt" und war nicht in der Lage einen gewissen Geschmack am Gaumen zu hinterlassen... Die Bandnudeln mit schwarzen Trüffeln waren anständig gekocht. Warum man sie dann in einer neutralen Soße geschwenkt hat hat sich mir leider nicht erschlossen. Die schwarzen gehobelten Trüffel waren ohne JEDES Aroma und ohne JEDEN Geschmack!!! Sehr offensichtlich chinesische Billigtrüffel (Tuber Indicum). Ich habe dann ca. 1/3 zurückgehen lassen. Die Nachfrage des Kellners ob es geschmeckt habe habe ich sehr bewusst mit "kein Kommentar" beantwortet um im Interesse des Restaurants keine Aufmerksamkeit zu erzeugen. Es wurde aber 3 mal ausdrücklich nachgefragt und daher war meine Einschätzung dieses Gerichtes dann deutlich vernehmbar... Den Service, mit ausdrücklicher Ausnahme der netten Italienerin, würde ich als unangemessen für ein Restaurant dieser Preisklasse verbunden mit einer gewissen Arroganz definieren. Offensichtlich muss man sich erst zum Stammgast "hocharbeiten"... Never again.

Leider sehr unfreundlichen Service, fast anmaßend. Das Carpaccio bestand überwiegend aus Ruccola. Gerichte leider überteuert.

The service was underground! We had to wait over 30 minutes to order drinks. No bread with pasta dishes (unusual for Italian cuisine). There was no clearing up after the meal. No waiter came by to ask if everything was OK or if we wanted to order anything else. When we wanted to pay, no waiter came by. After 20 minutes I got up and spoke directly to a waiter and asked him to bring the bill. After another 20 minutes we got up again and went to another waitress and asked for the bill again. She then cleared our table (without a bill). After we complained to her, another waiter finally came with the bill! Here you can see that this restaurant is not organized! Absolutely not recommended!!!!

A very good restaurant beautifully designed. Had a pizza with five boys and it was very tasty. It's been a long time since I had one that was so delicious and for the price 🥇 it couldn't be better

First time and last time, we ordered a pizza margarita and a lasagna, waited almost an hour for 2 dishes that didn't even take long. I'm a waitress myself and I think that there needs to be more practice in the cellar, I just felt like I was being watched, I was told by the waiter if I could put my plate aside, which in my opinion was very unprofessional, and then after 30 minutes I had a piece I got bread which was very hard and I couldn't eat it, not recommended, that's all I'll say.

Ok. Definitely needs an overhaul of their service system , quality of service if there is any and hospitality. It's essential more than the food itself, as it all falls under food and beverage. Overpriced in comparison to similar and better. Once and never again.

Food is really great, service leaves room for more. We have been to this restaurant 3 times now. The food is really worth a wow. But the service is cause for concern. The waiters are either completely overwhelmed or simply bored. A good name doesn't mean that you can do anything. The first time a waiter was completely annoyed (understandable) because a lady just couldn't decide what kind of table she wanted. I'm also completely annoyed. But then throwing cutlery on the trays and pushing plates over the tables to let out your own frustration doesn't go down well with guests. Personally, I was intimidated. The next time we went to the restaurant. The waiters brought the menu quickly and there was nothing else to complain about. You could find a lot if you searched, but that would be “counting the beans.” For the third time, the three of us want to eat spontaneously. When asked if we could get a table, the waiter succinctly said “behind the glass wall” and walked away. We then looked for a free table and sat down. However, the service left no reason for complaint afterwards. Friendly service and great food. Given the slightly higher price level, it would really be appropriate to train the waiters accordingly. Otherwise a really great restaurant that I like to go to.

Nice restaurant with a large selection. The food tasted good, but there was nothing special in terms of taste for the price (€20 - €45 per main course). The Bellini disappointed me the most. I was expecting a pureed peach with Prosecco as befits the classic, but only got 100 ml of flavored sparkling wine. That's sad for €8.50.

authentic and excellent in every way

First of all, the positive: the food tasted good. But: We wanted to make a reservation outside but we were told that wasn't possible outside. However, there is not much going on at the moment and there are enough places available. We set off immediately (15 minutes) and you'll be amazed... everything outside was reserved. I won't comment on the fact that the waiter was chewing gum with his mouth open and smacking his lips... So all in all, extremely poor service with good food

Child with HANDICAP / disability (wheelchair / rehabilitation buggy) not welcome in the Antonio Lava restaurant (according to the bald waiter). July 10, 2024 2:30 p.m. When looking for a place to have lunch with the family, the local choice fell on the Antonio Lava restaurant. It's sunny weather and the tables in front of the restaurant are a welcome place to eat. There are around 12 tables in number, three of which are occupied by guests. We chose the second row, not directly on the street, because our daughter is in a wheelchair. The (calf-headed) waiter working there that day, I can't describe him any other way, oh unfriendly also applies. The waiter described refuses to allow us to sit in the corner we have chosen, where the paths from the tables are not blocked, and assigns us a place directly in the area of ​​the busy street. Quote waiter, “that’s because of the wheelchair users who could still come!”. We would like to draw your attention to the fact that our daughter, a wheelchair user, only sits in her rehabilitation buggy. NO chance, we are rejected, no seat of our choice, even though only three tables are occupied outside. We made it clear to the waiter that his words and rejection were impossible and hurtful!!! The situation was observed by passers-by, and a mother who was also in a wheelchair with her daughter told us that the friendliness of this restaurant had become impossible since the former “boss” died. They don't go there again after similar experience. We went on to a restaurant 500m away, the Zorbas restaurant. There, our family was welcomed warmly and with a smile. Esse was very good, timing was terrible. The main course was only prepared/delivered upon request from the waiter and the pizza bread that was ordered came after the main course had been eaten, despite the slow pace of eating. The pizza bread that was brought late and not touched was cleared away immediately and fully charged.

Food was very good. The service has room for improvement. Everything takes a long time, from ordering to drinks and clearing the dishes. But pasta was really delicious. Maybe we had a bad day.

Nice restaurant in the center of Bad Zwischenahn. I sat outside. It was covered with umbrellas and cozy blankets were laid out for frosty moments. The service was good. The menu was varied. My dish was the risotto with fresh vegetables. It was really very good.

Ate very well. Nice and quick service. I had the calzone. If you're very hungry and like a lot of cheese, this is the place for you. The other dishes are also very good and high quality. The prices are reasonable, not too expensive. Absolute recommendation👍

Were there yesterday, unfortunately the food is very tasteless. Unfortunately it has nothing to do with the good smell in Italy. Spaghetti Vongole tasted boring. And the pizza wasn't that buono either.

Nice restaurant in the heart of Bad Zwischenahn! Just had a drink in the evening! A small dark country beer (€3.50) and a nightcap of cassis! 2CL! Also €3.50 Nice place to feel good! Food comes later here. Pizza very cheeky! Pictured here: Pizza Salami. Staff seemed a bit annoyed at times! But only subjective impression! Nevertheless, we recommend having a nice meal or something to drink here.

We are Italy lovers and go to Lombardy every year to enjoy the sun, lakes, cities and people. We especially liked the food. So far away, it makes sense that we really enjoy going out for Italian food and will travel further distances to find a good restaurant. It's always worth going to Antonio Lava! Attentive service in a relaxed Italian style and a pleasant atmosphere, plus excellent, good quality food! Try the pasta with mussels or the carbonara! It is worth it!

The ambience is definitely pleasant. We had personal experience that various people from the service came to us and asked whether we had already ordered etc., but apparently there was no agreement as to who would take which tables. But still: everyone was very friendly and pleasant. Unfortunately, we were honestly disappointed with the food in 3 out of 4 dishes, especially for the value for money and the nice ambience etc. The salad for 7.5EUR had little dressing and had little variety. The pasta had little spice and salt, but the pizza bread was very good. The service staff still responded well to the criticism! We would probably come back for a pizza anyway. But unfortunately only 4 stars for this visit.

We had a lovely evening and if the kitchen had been tweaked a few more things it would have been 5 stars! You had to look for dressing in the starter salad, and for €7.50 I would have liked more ingredients. A bit of corn, a few olives, capers, a hot pepper and a few seeds. The Penne Arabiata was too simple and just spicy, barely seasoned straight from the can. The pasta was not cooked al dente in the sauce, but was simply mixed with the sauce at the end. It tastes like that too. Service was chaotic at first, we were served by 4 waiters and no one knew what the other was doing. So there is still room for improvement 😉

The Ristorante Antonio Lava has now become our favorite restaurant in Zwischenahn (we are not vacationers). Everything fits here, ambience, extensive menu, very friendly and always in a good mood staff with a very courteous and attentive boss, price-performance ratio completely ok, we always feel very comfortable here. They also have the best vitello tonnato. Always nice here, very nice and courteous service, delicious food and a nice ambience.

The food here is very tasty and freshly prepared. I had never had such a good calzone. The beef was medium fried and also perfect. The service is very friendly. We will definitely make a reservation here again (reservation is recommended on the weekend as it is very busy).

Ein sehr schönes gemütliches Restaurant mit freundlichem Personal. Wir waren mit 5 Pers. spontan vor Ort und haben auch auf Anfrage einen Platz bekommen. Bestellung und bringen der Speisen ging alles sehr flott. Wir hatten unterschiedliche Speisen und alles sah sehr lecker aus und hat auch super geschmeckt. Preis - Leistung stimmt.

War zum ersten Mal dort, nachdem mir das Restaurant mehrfach empfohlen wurde. Sehr freundlicher Service. Lediglich als wir zahlen wollten mussten wir etwas warten. Der Nachbartisch bekam ein Getränk aufs Haus mit der Rechnung angeboten, wir nicht. Das war etwas merkwürdig. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet und kam zügig. Wir hatten Bruschetta, Filetsteak, Saltimbocca und Creme Brulee und Affogato. Das Ambiente gefiel mir persönlich nicht so gut. Mir war der Raum zu groß und auch finde ich die Stühle nicht besonders bequem.

Direkt an der Einkaufsmeile gelegen, Parkplätze in der Nähe und ein top Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Hier wurden wir sehr freundlich und flott bedient und haben leckere Speisen und kühle Getränke erhalten. Tip: anrufen und Tisch reservieren!

Jaren geleden per toeval bij dit restaurant terecht gekomen. Eten was heerlijk en dat is niet veranderd. Klasse !
