Pleasant environment, friendly service, good food at reasonable prices. They had no problem letting us in with the stroller and the dog.

On a Friday evening in a good mood and of course hungry, I returned to Amalfi for the first time in 16 years with skeptical expectations, but it turned out to be true! At that time there were four of us around 8:45 p.m. where there was only leftover lasagne for everyone and the staff was also very unfriendly. Unfortunately, three of us and a miniature dachshund reserved a table today. The food was very tasty. After we asked for the invoice we mentioned that we had a voucher from 2022 worth €20, this was checked and rejected after some time. Apparently this was issued by the previous operator and could not be accepted. We were shocked and accepted it at first. The waiter left the table and only after 15 minutes he came with the bill and asked if everything was OK. I told him again that something like that was inherently unacceptable. He offered us a free drink, which we refused in frustration. Our dog didn't get a bowl of water! Even the Berlin Pilsner in the Schultheiss glass gives me something to think about. Meißen has a lot of restaurants, of which this one is no longer our choice!!!

Please do not bring dogs. Not even outside. It doesn't work at all. I completely understand if the owner doesn't want dogs IN the interior. We always ask beforehand whether that's OK. But we were chased away from the outside area of ​​the pizzaria with our Bolonka, who was sitting on a plastic chair on a blanket we had brought with us. The cathedral cellar a few houses away was very happy.

Pleasant Italian restaurant with delicious pizza and lasagne

Because we took the photo to ask about ordering, but one of the dishes that came out was different from the photo. We asked the waiter, but unexpectedly the boss came over and told us excitedly that the photo was from a few years ago and the meal was different. Boss And asked my husband where I came from? Even saying my husband is not German, but I think where I am from has anything to do with the food? And my husband is also German. The boss gave us the feeling that he was discriminating against the guests. But it is undeniable that the food is really delicious and fresh, so I give five stars to the food, but I cannot compliment the boss's attitude.

lunch... 3 tables, 6 guests, 1 waiter... 10 minutes at 35 degrees in the shade until you are asked what you would like to drink... Berlin pilsner in a Schultheiss glass... ok... spaghetti aglio e olio were hard and before aldente...salami pizza was ok...what was right was the speed 4 minutes then the food was there...45 € for a few hard noodles and a pizza + drinks, always works for lunch....

So far I have been to Amalfi twice. The first time, both the operation and the service were top. The restaurant is very nice inside, but the outside area in Meissen's old town doesn't leave much to be desired on warm days. However, last Thursday I was very disappointed with the service. The gentleman seemed listless and did not speak clearly. When paying, he tried to overcharge us (intentionally or not, who knows?) and didn't even apologize for it. Nevertheless, there are 4 stars because this is really the only point of criticism.

We went to dinner with our children. The service is friendly. Children's food is good. Our children liked it. Pasta with tomato and ham and pasta with cheese sauce. The shrimp salad was not that good. Something was missing. The price was not fair to me. Some lettuce leaves were not as fresh. The pasta was good although it wasn't something that was different or magnificent. Normal.

So the service was very bad and when you pay you don't ask whether you want to pay separately or together. We waited a good 20 minutes for the bill. There are only soft drinks at 0.33 for 4.10, which I think is a disgrace, the pizza was OK, lasagne was a very small portion for the money, warm on the outside and the core was cold, the Panne Cotta was rubbery. I would say too much gelatin. My conclusion is that you can do it sometimes, but you don't have to

The food was good but not a highlight. One would have expected more for the prices. The service was quick. Overall everything was pretty clean.

As a transient, I just stopped for a quick lunch in the outdoor area... It's a lovely place to sit in the quiet pedestrian zone of the old town. The pizza was delicious and the staff was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The restaurant also looked very nice and cozy inside. I would come back at any time.

Wir hatten Bruchetta als Vorspeise und Spaghetti als Hauptgericht . Beides sehr lecker . Wir saßen draußen unter dem großen Baum gegenüber vom Lokal - sehr schön . Aber auch innen ist das Restaurant sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Toiletten sind sehr cool im Gewölbekeller- vorbei am Weinkeller - sehr interessant gemacht .

I wasn't familiar with the "homemade lemonade" with pureed fruit, but it worked. Priced at the top of the quay wall, you take advantage of the tourist location.

As a cycling group of 6 people, we wanted to stop for a drink at 9:30 p.m. on a Saturday evening. One waiter's enthusiasm was limited, but then we were allowed to take a seat. We then ordered drinks, no friendly look, no friendly word. Then we took the liberty of ordering another pizza. Well, that might have been a discussion. The kitchen was closing time and he had already informed us of that, etc. So very unfriendly. Then there was a pizza that was really delicious. Mind you, it was a Saxon waiter, the other foreign service staff were in a good mood. Saturday night and such a bad mood... doesn't fit on summer nights like this. We won't be coming back again.

Ordered a Carbonara that was the worst I've had anywhere in the world. They added milk/cream that is not specified on the menu. Had to return the dish and asked for a Carbonara with just the bacon, eggs and Parmeasan. What I got next was the saltiest pasta I've ever had in a restaurant. Could not eat that as well. Was really sorry because it was my birthday and my husband actually wanted to take me out for a nice dinner but sadly that did not happen. The vegetables and potatoes he had with his steak were ok. But I have to add also that his steak wasn't great either. He gave it a 4 out of 10.

I came to Meißen as a tourist and wanted to end a wonderful day in an “Italian” way. I went to this restaurant without reading the reviews... and was not disappointed. I "only" sat outside, but when I went to the toilet, the ambience of the restaurant was elegant, beautiful and cozy at the same time, and the catacomb-like corridors in the basement were impressive. I was amazed at the old stone walls including vaults past the wine cellar. Everything coordinated with each other, especially the lighting put everything in the spotlight perfectly. The service is more than accommodating. Very polite and respectful without being intrusive. The food was perfect all around, the taste was right, it was really nice and attractively presented. This restaurant really deserves a visit and gets 5 out of 5. I will gladly come again.

For years now, my quarterly visits to Meißen have taken me to the Ristorante Amalfi, where I have now worked my way through the menu. I particularly remember the rump steak with pepper sauce and herb butter - my personal favorite. I can highly recommend a visit and hope to see you again soon. See you next quarter!

Staff friendly and attentive, value for money, very expensive. We had Pizza Mista, according to the menu with bacon, spicy salami and pepperoni. The pizza came super quickly, one look at the pizza was enough and we knew why. Cervelat sausage, cooked ham and cheap cheese for €14.50. It didn't really taste good, so there was no tip. Since there were no tips, the service was no longer very friendly and there was no “nice evening” when leaving the restaurant.

This was my second time eating there and unfortunately I was disappointed. The restaurant is located in the middle of the beautiful old town of Meißen and is therefore a little more expensive than some other restaurants. I'm happy to pay the price of €13.50 for a pizza if it tastes and is prepared accordingly. Unfortunately my pizza was very watery and tasteless. Every Dominos pizza tastes better. The waiters are nice and helpful.

Even if the shop was full, the two of us plus a small child found a table and suggested that we were welcome. The waiter joked with the little one and interacted confidently. The food was very tasty and arrived in a reasonable time.

Wir waren schon sehr häufig in diesem italienischen Restaurant essen und haben dabei mehrere Betreiberwechsel erlebt. Wir waren bisher stets zufrieden und sind gerne wiedergekommen. Aktuell jedoch sind die Preis massiv gestiegen und die Qualität ist auf einem indiskutablen Niveau. Wir waren zum Mittagessen an einem Samstag in dem Restaurant und hatten Lasagne und Cannelloni bestellt. Erstaunlicherweise wurde das Essen bereits nach 15 Minuten serviert. Beide Gerichte waren kalt bzw. in der Mitte des Gerichts kalt. Nachdem wir die Lasagne beanstandet hatten, wurde diese erneut in den Ofen gebracht. Leider war das Ergebnis immer noch schlecht. Wenn für 16,00 € beim Italiener Nudeln serviert werden, darf man schon frische gut gute Qualität erwarten und kein warmgemachtes Schnellgericht. So schnell werden wir diese Lokal nicht mehr aufsuchen. Christa M.

Das Lokal an sich macht einen netten Eindruck für einen Italiener. Leider kann die Küche diesem Standard nicht folgen. Der Eindruck: hier wird mit billigsten Zutaten versucht, ein teures Essen zu verkaufen. Und der Koch dürfte nicht viel von italienischer Küche verstehen. Was als Risotto angeboten wird, entpuppte sich als paellaartiges Reisgericht mit Sauce, Billigst-Langkirnreis und billigst Tiefkühl-Gambas, ein wenig Spargel, ziemlich ohne Geschmack. Pizza massig belegt mit Pfefferoni und Oliven aus der Konserve und auch wenig ital. Geschmack. Positiv hervorzuheben: wir haben zumindest einen Grappa aufs Haus bekommen, nachdem wir unsere Unzufriedenheit geäussert haben. Unsere Vorstellung von ital. Küche ist eine andere ( was wir nach zahlreichen Italienreisen wohl beurteilen können). Hier geht Quantität über Qualität.

I do not recommend this restaurant. The ordered fish was unfresh, and when I pointed this out to the staff they did not seem surprised by this fact. The other dishes (pizza and pasta) were average. When paying, they tried to add dishes to the bill that we had not ordered. Service not very polite, except for one waiter.

Didn't get a card because everyone was supposedly in use - the store was only about 50% fumigated. Many waiters unstructured. But they like to chat among themselves instead of serving the table. After I asked, I went with the card - surprise, not all of them were in use, but were lying at the entrance. Before that, we waited for 15 minutes without a card and without being able to order drinks. Despite the reservation, the table wasn't ready and had to be wiped down first, but they deliberately took their time for this. Pizza was the worst seafood pizza I have ever eaten. four mussels in shell, three mini scallops, a larger shrimp and approx 10 squid rings and not forgetting tons of cheap cheese. Pizza tasted like cheap cheese and lots of it! I couldn't taste anything else. I looked for garlic or other spices in vain or I couldn't taste them. Material costs maximum 3 EUR. Costs EUR 19.50. Dr Oetker tastes worlds better. The men's toilet was just dirty and smelled of lots of chlorine. Only used the urinal. But it was enough for me. Absolutely no recommendation. Like I said - worst pizza I've ever eaten.

Great menu and good execution. What we found very annoying was that you couldn't move the chairs quietly. Gliders should urgently be screwed under there, then you won't disturb the atmosphere.

Nach langer Zeit waren wir mal wieder in Meißen und erneut war das Amalfi eine gute Wahl. Der Service ist aufmerksam und dabei unaufdringlich. Die Vorspeisen sind grandios. Wir werden immer wieder hierher kommen, wenn wir in der Umgebung sind.

After 5 years this restaurant has declined greatly. I have often eaten there and unfortunately I have to say that the food has simply become bad, most of the food is bland and inedible and I have to honestly admit that I liked the restaurant more where it was run by Italians and not Albanians. It's a shame I can't recommend it anymore.

We spontaneously looked for an Italian restaurant in Meißen and stopped at Amalfi. We ordered a pizza and it was just perfect. The pizza had great toppings, the dough was very thin and the edge wasn't too thick and nice and crispy. On the other hand, my wife had a pasta dish which also tasted great and was beautifully presented. The service staff also did a very good job. All in all, we can only give this place 5 stars and recommend this Italian restaurant to everyone.

A pizzeria with a feel-good atmosphere in the center of Meissen. Very friendly service, food served quickly. There is only one star deduction for the location of the toilet in the basement, which is not accessible to wheelchair users.

Wir waren hier, weil es das einzige Restaurant in der Meißener Innenstadt war, das um an einem Mittwochabend im Januar um 21 Uhr noch Essen servierte - gerade noch. Die Preise sind überraschend hoch dafür, dass sehr schlichte Gerichte angeboten werden - einfache Pastagerichte kosten hier 15-20 Euro, die Pizza ebenso, vielleicht der zentralen Lage nahe am Meißener Markt geschuldet. Das Ambiente soll sichtlich Stil suggerieren. Qualität und Geschmack des Essens waren jedoch bestenfalls mittelmäßig; derart lieb- und geschmacklosen Salat kennen ich sonst nur aus Großkantinen.

Diese location hab ich das zweite Mal besucht und war wieder sehr begeistert! Der Lambrusco schmeckt hier außerordentlich lecker, die Bedienung ist sehr aufmerksam und die Küche in meinen Augen grandios! Wir hatten u.a. eine Vorspeise gewählt, die wohl stets vom Koch flexibel zubereitet wird, also stets wechselt. Bei uns kam genau das, was wir uns vorher ausgemalt hatten. Hier wurden wohl Gedanken gelesen 👌 Hervorragend! Dieser Besuch bleibt nachdrücklich sehr positiv in Erinnerung! Wir sehen uns auf jeden Fall wieder und empfehlen gerne weiter!

Sehr nett. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist ok. Ich hatte Lasagne, die grundsätzlich gut gemacht und frisch war. Leider hat es etwas am Salz gefehlt.

Es war eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre. Die Kellner waren sehr freundlich, auch wenn man nicht reserviert hatte. Preis-Leistung passt. Unangenehm fand ich, dass ein Hund mit im Gastraum war🙁

Wir wurden sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend empfangen. Das Essen war mega gut wirklich sehr gut Grüße an den Koch, das war mit Abstand die beste Lasagne die ich seit langen gegessen habe. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.
