Restaurant Dolovino in Meißen

There is now Italian cuisine. The ambience remains a big plus point – cozy and inviting. The service is okay, but could be a little more attentive in some places. The antipasti platter is top and impresses with its variety and taste – absolutely recommended! Unfortunately the main course leaves a lot to be desired. Once again, the food was average at best: served lukewarm, lacking in seasoning and overall unconvincing. There is still room for improvement here. Conclusion: A restaurant with potential, but the main course urgently needs to be improved to really convince.

Very tasty and pleasant - unexpectedly very inexpensive!

Today we had dinner at Mediterranean Gusto. It was an excellent dinner that convinced me to visit the restaurant again. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the pictures on the wall were very well chosen. We'll be back soon :)

The restaurant is great. Very tasty Italian food. Price-performance is top. We had the cannelloni filled with spinach. These were very tasty. The other dish was Spaghetti Carbonara which was also very tasty. We would love to come back again...

First of all, the shop once served German-Austrian cuisine, but has now been completely redesigned. The Ristorante Gusto Mediterrano is a beautifully decorated Italian restaurant in Meißen. The ambience is warm and inviting. I love Italian restaurants and have visited many, but the carbonara at Ristorante Gusto Mediterrano was the best so far. The starter was a pizza foccacia, which you can imagine as a huge foccacia bread in the shape of a pizza. The Ristorante is particularly impressive with its prices. €9.90 for a large portion of carbonara €5.50 for a pizza-sized foccacia Absolutely unbeatable!! The most expensive pasta was under €13. In most restaurants, the pasta starts there. And you really get something on offer here. This shop is highly recommended and I could imagine going there more often. Not only will you be full, but the food tastes great and the prices can't be beaten.

The food was very attractively prepared from starter to dessert and was a real treat for the palate. The service was friendly and responded to our wishes. We'd love to come back.

I ordered a tuna steak. When fully cooked, it was dry and tough like the sole of a shoe. There were also rosemary potatoes without a single piece of rosemary and a completely unseasoned side salad with a splash of balsamic vinegar. My wife had ordered beef fillet in Gorgonzola sauce, but the Gorgonzola sauce was simply omitted. Otherwise the same as on my plate. For 25€ or 27€ the dish is really a shame. Service was nice. Anyone who values ​​a chic ambience more than this Food is at the right place here.

Without a doubt the best cuisine in Meißen! A great price-performance ratio. All dishes tasted extremely delicious. My personal recommendation - salmon tartare with avocado and creme brulee 😋 + very friendly service.

Very friendly, very nice, hence two stars. Unfortunately there weren't any more for dinner - the worst mussels in white wine sauce I've ever eaten anywhere. Oversalted, dry, no liquid, just fried tomatoes. Too bad.

We were in Meißen as day tourists and spent the evening a bit away from the usual restaurants around the tourist center. The mountain apple juice with hops is recommended. The food and friendly service rounded off the positive impression. There was a delicious Alm burger 😋 and Tris (three types of dumplings). The journey was definitely worth it. We would be happy to come back and recommend the restaurant.

Well thought-out furnishings, good wines, delicious food. Asparagus risotto (season menu) a bit bland. The waitress may not have had her best day. This can be even friendlier. I'm still going back. Overall package good.

We kicked off a concert visit in Meißen at the Dolovino. Coincidence brought us to this great restaurant. The service was very friendly, the food was great and actually authentically influenced by South Tyrol cuisine. Even as a beer drinker, like in Bolzano, I got my Forst beer. :-) I cannot confirm the high prices that others criticize. We had two main courses, a dessert and a drink each and paid just under 60 euros. For a restaurant of this quality, I think that's absolutely okay. We will come back in any case.

The cuisine and offerings do not do justice to the prices. After ordering, the chef notices that no pollock was delivered. Not all wines on the menu are available. The asparagus is more than al dente. The men's roast only contained five small strips of veal. All in all, the price/performance ratio is not okay. There wasn't enough on offer to recommend it.

I had very fond memories of Dolovino, with very good food and a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case at all on our last visit. The different dishes were absolutely nothing special for the price, and the service was unfriendly. Only the beautiful rooms remain.

An upscale, delicious cuisine. We had a wonderful evening! As a potential improvement, one could consider adding more non-alcoholic drinks to the menu.

We got a nice seat on Saturday evening without a reservation. The ambience is very nice. The cheese spaetzle here is not roasted in the pan like in Tyrol (Austria). The Alm Burger is more for those with a small appetite. The price is very high for that. Attention: The prices posted in front of the restaurant and on the website are significantly lower than on the (new) menu in the restaurant.

We were at Dolovino on New Year's Eve 2023. The ambience is great, unfortunately the waiting time at the table is not. We had booked a table at 7 p.m. and were there on time. Our drink/food order was only taken after about 30 minutes. After another 30 minutes our drinks finally arrived. Now again nothing for a long time! After what felt like an eternity (8.45 p.m.) we asked the waitress. Answer in a brisk tone: "It's full and we only ordered so late." Even the table next to us (arrived half an hour later) had already finished eating. Our food arrived at 9:10 p.m. But it tasted very good, only the Kaiserschmarn wasn't quite cooked through yet. We won't eat at Dolovino anymore!

Price in the upper range, performance average. We had to swap one of 5 dishes because it was seasoned. But it was done without any problems. Payment credit card rejected only EC card. Just a service person but certainly an industry issue these days. The will was there, the stress was high. Great ambience and something different from the kitchen

We were in Meißen for a weekend and since several restaurants were already fully booked, we were lucky to get a table here. The food is really delicious. We had the veal schnitzel and the Herrengröstl. For dessert there was the delicious Kaiserschmarrn. The service was very nice.

Our visit to Dolovino today was very pleasant. We sent the reservation request via Google and received a prompt response. The atmosphere is very nice and the service is pleasant. We enjoyed the food. However, my Tris could have been really hot.

Wir waren zweimal mit mehreren Personen im "Dolovino" und können es nur empfehlen! Südtirol findet sich hier in allem liebevoll umgesetzt wieder. In der tollen, gemütlichen Ausstattung, dem Originalen Gerichten sowie der Weinkarte. Dazu die Bedienung durch die Chefin persönlich-nett, perfekt und eine angenehme Ruhe ausstrahlend. Die Weine wurden sehr gut erklärt und Details dazu vermittelt. Gern kommen wir bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Meissen wieder, gern testen wir aber auch mal das zweite Haus, das "Don Camillo".

Das Essen hier ist richtig lecker und die Bedienung ist freundlich. Preislich würde ich es bei Mittel bis etwas teurer einstufen, allerdings so, dass Preis-Leistung noch harmoniert.

Per Zufall entdeckt und gestern und heute gut gegessen. Das Ködeltris und Kalbsschnitzel 👍 heute Holzfällersteak, sowie Haxe auch gut und reichlich. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön. Die Chefin freundlich und der Service gut. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt und waren fast wieder im Urlaub am Kronplatz.

Für Kenner der Südtiroler Küche und die, die es noch nicht sind. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Abend in diesem hervorragenden Südtiroler Lokal. Essen und Getränke, von Suppe über Knödel und Burger bis Wein und Bier, waren überdurchschnittlich gut und der Service extrem freundlich und aufmerksam. Alles hat gepasst, es gibt keinen Kritikpunkt. Sobald wir wieder in Meißen sind kommen wir gerne wieder.

Wir hatten hier einen sehr gutes und äußerst leckeres Abendessen in Südtiroler Atmosphäre. Die Speisen waren perfekt portioniert und es der Service war sehr gut. Wir kommen gern wieder und empfehlen es gern weiter. ☺️

Aufgrund bisher guter Mundpropaganda besuchten wie das Dolovino in Meißen. Leider konnten wir uns dem nicht anschließen. Das Ambiente war sehr ansprechend, die Bedienung eher bedingt höflich. Die Südtiroler Herzlichkeit fehlte. Wird hatten das preislich teuerste Gericht gewählt, was leider ohne die ausgewiesene Gemüsebeilage serviert wurde. Das bemerkten wir leider nicht sofort. Kann passieren. Doch es gab keine Entschuldigung oder sonst irgendwas. Lediglich auf der Rechnung wurden uns drei Euro erlassen. Das fanden wir sehr enttäuschend in dieser Preisklasse .Auch das zweite Gericht war geschmacklich nicht überzeugend. Schade, aber wir fahren dann lieber doch direkt nach Südtirol.

Sehr stil- und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Sehr nette Bedienung und ganz tolle Küche. Großes Südtiroler Getränkeangebot. Es war ein rund um sehr schöner Abend mit meinen Freunden in diesem Restaurant.

In der warmen Jahreszeit hat man auch die Möglichkeit draußen vorm Restaurant zu sitzen . Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und es wurde uns gleich die Speisekarte gereicht . Die Getränke und Vorspeisen kamen einigermaßen zügig , nur auf den Hauptgang mussten wir eine Stunde warten . Alles war frisch zubereitet , aber die Wartezeit doch etwas zu lang . Der Fachkräftemangel ist auch hier angekommen ! Die Forelle war kein Geschmackserlebnis , das Grillgemüse dafür super lecker , entsprach nicht dem Preis . 20 € für ein so überschaubares Gericht , eine sehr bedenkliche Entwicklung , zumal die Kartoffeln sehr " Bissfest " waren ! Auch die anderen Gerichte hatten ein schlechtes Preis - Leistungsverhältnis , wenig Genuss für viel Geld . Preise wie in den Urlaubsgebieten von Südtirol. Das Ambiente in der Gaststätte ist sehr schön. Die Parkplätze befinden sich auf dem Hahnemann Platz, abends meist auch in ausreichender Anzahl vorhanden . Für uns wird es wahrscheinlich keinen 2. Besuch hier geben . Nur wer mal was ungewöhnliches sucht oder das Urlaubsfeeling von Südtirol vermisst, ist sicher hier gut aufgehoben .

Leider war in jedem Gericht das markant schmeckende Kürbiskernöl. Etwas absonderlich war, es wurde bereits um 20:50 Uhr gefragt, ob man dann noch ein Dessert will wegen Küchenschluss.

Schön eingerichtetes alpenländisches Restaurant. Gemütliche Atmosphäre und qualitativ hochwertiges Essen. Nicht ganz günstig aber noch im Rahmen. Besonders lecker sind die verschiedenen Apfelsäfte.

Sehr leckeres Essen mit südtiroler Einschlag. Angenehmes Ambiente mit viel Holz. Portionen schon fast zu groß wenn man 2 oder 3 Gänge schaffen möchte ;) hatten einen sehr schönen Abend. Nur zu empfehlen.

Sehr leckere Speisen und Bier … erinnert an den letzten Südtirolurlaub. Sehr zünftige Inneneinrichtung.

Essen ist lecker, die Portionen sind übersichtlich und bestehen zu einem bemerkenswert hohen Anteil aus Sättigungsbeilagen ( bspw. Kartoffeln). Das schöne ist, man ist hinterher satt. Wenn die Rechnung kommt, gleich nochmal. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und kümmert sich

Das Dolovino ist wirklich sehr schön eingerichtet, sehr geschmackvoll und schlicht. Die Karte ist sehr vielfältig und ich konnte mich kaum entscheiden. Die Vorspeise war leider zunächst enttäuschend, da sowohl der Beilagensalat meiner Begleitung als auch meine Kürbissuppe ziemlich fad waren. Mit ordentlich Salz und Pfeffer konnte ich etwas Abhilfe schaffen, allerdings fehlte dennoch der Kürbisgeschmack und das Ganze schmeckt fast nur nach Brühe. Die Hauptspeisen wussten dann reihum zu begeistern. Meine Kürbisgnocchi hatten eine tolle, luftige Konsistenz und die Parmesansoße dazu war ein Traum. Alles in Allem hat es uns sehr gut gefallen. Lediglich die Tatsache, dass die Coronamaßnahmen hier nicht so ernst genommen werden wie in anderen Restaurants in denen wir waren, hat mir nicht gut gefallen. Die Kellner trugen keine Masken und auch bei den Gästen schien darauf keiner wert zu legen. Ein Kontaktformular wurde uns nicht vorgelegt.

Onlinereservierung hat perfekt funktioniert, einschließlich der Bestätigung. Das Essen ist super lecker, Ambiente des Lokals ist stimmig. Die Bedienung oder auch die Chefin ist sehr selbstbewusst 🤔😜 Alles im Ganzen sehr empfehlenswert. Gruß Maik
