Rincón Español in Hanau

We had an all-around fantastic evening at Rincón Español: the food was delicious, authentic, and made with love. The tapas, the fish, and the meat dishes – all excellent! What was particularly nice was the live Spanish music and flamenco, which made the atmosphere lively and unique. Accompanied by sangria or a good Spanish wine – simply perfect. As a family business, genuine hospitality is practiced here; you can feel how important culture and tradition are. That's precisely what makes it so charming. The value for money is also excellent: great service, friendly staff, and a cozy atmosphere – we'll definitely be back!

If I take into account holiday longings and the rarity of Spanish restaurants in Germany, I can only give it an average rating.

It was a culinary evening, with delicious wine 🍷 and Spanish beer. For coffee ☕️ lovers, there's the Orujo de Cafe. 😉 The team is super friendly, attentive, and helpful. We will definitely come back here.

This was my first time here – and definitely not my last! The food was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and lovingly prepared. The staff was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The prawns in particular were a real highlight! The atmosphere was also cozy and inviting. Excellent value for money – highly recommended!

We wanted to eat there today. The menu includes small and large drinks. We weren't asked whether we wanted small or large, they just brought us large ones, which I personally find outrageous. We paid for the drinks and left disappointed.

We ate there today. The food was very good. We ordered appetizers and main courses for three people. Everything was delicious, as if homemade. The service staff was very friendly. The only downside, for me, was the long wait for some dishes to be ready. I would gladly go back with my family.

Lively authentic tapas restaurant with a nice garden for outdoor dining. Three generations of the family run the place who go out of their way to provide exceptional service. They made us feel like we were part of the family even if we were in Hanau just for one day. The food was good and the sangria outstanding (one of the best we ever had!). Not too sweet and perfectly balanced. Live music rounded it up for an absolutely perfect summer evening. If we come near Hanau again, we'll be back for more. In fact, we'll probably come to Hanau just for the experience.

We went to this Spanish restaurant for the first time on May 30th and were very disappointed. You look at the reviews and think, great, let's try it. We experienced overwhelmed service. The senior member of staff took our food. Then we were served tapas that we hadn't ordered. The senior member of staff then said to my husband that we should know what we had ordered; yes, we knew too, unfortunately he didn't. Then tapas arrived, which only came after repeated inquiries. The price-performance ratio is not right here; the portions are small. The two young servers were friendly and made sure that we finally got all the tapas we ordered.

Excellent food, warm family atmosphere, and the feeling of being in a bodega in Spain. Thanks to the musical moments with the owner's flamenco and the outstanding musician. It was like a vacation in Spain. Thank you for the wonderful evening (Friday, May 23, 2025) Muy Bien..........

Best Spanish restaurant in Hanau!! Best tapas and super nice service. And we were there for the flamenco evening. With Christmas carols. Great fun, great entertainment, great service. And the food was just great. My clear recommendation: chicken legs fried in garlic. Mega delicious. The best meatballs in tomato sauce!! To kneel down!! You are a great team and great hosts!!

Original like mother's. Quick and tasty. In between singing with guitar. Plus spontaneous flamenco performances by the service staff.

My expectations were probably too high. The restaurant is located in an athletes' home and so is the first impression and also the toilets. The dining room is nice but also very lively and too loud for me. The food was of medium quality. The service attentive and friendly.

Perfect team, great atmosphere, Great food, great wines. We are 260 kilometers apart, if it weren't for that I would come every day. Stay the way you are, just great.

Update 05.2022: Unfortunately I have to deduct 1 star again. Employees do not wear masks, even though it is stated here. The waiter incorrectly stated that the aioli was without eggs (even though it wasn't) - that's not possible! No dogs are allowed (indoors).

I still know the old restaurant on Auwanneweg... very tasty food. Not cheap but authentically Spanish. Clear. Anyone who likes to eat fish is in good hands here.

Online booking for a table is only possible. Booking was confirmed online for 8.45pm. When we arrived we were told that the kitchen had already closed. Only cold tapas would be possible. For this reason only one star, and that is still too many for this promotion. We're sorry.

Hola. We were there with a friend from the Spanish course. The food was very tasty. A dinner date turned into a Spanish evening with guitar, singing and good wine. The orange ice cream was excellent. Dad was also there and took part. Family atmosphere and very cozy!

Location is great from the outside, but very cozy from the inside... the food is really good, but everyone should be told that it's an upscale restaurant so that it's about the taste and not the stomach being full... if you still want real cuisine, this is the place for you correct.

We were at Rincon on Saturday evening/afternoon. Unfortunately, we were not even remotely satisfied with the high expectations and ratings. The outdoor area has the charm of a 70s swimming pool cafe. The service was sometimes very overwhelmed (very young, inexperienced staff). The food (tapas: mushrooms/aioli/prawns) very simple, hardly any taste, especially very little / high price for it. The main course fish/sea bream - dry fried potatoes off the shelf. Then loin/grilled 3 thin slices and fried potatoes on a bed of iceberg lettuce... in short, for the high price, hardly any taste, poor plate language and the quantity (I had to butter 2 more breads at home). Everyone has a bad day (kitchen/service) sometimes. But if this happens often then it is not recommended. A pretty disappointed guest.

Cult. Family business in the 2nd generation. Authentic. Down to earth. Top service. Even if you have to wait. People who get upset about these little things shouldn't even come here. Freshly cooked takes time. Everything tastes very good. We have enjoyed coming here for years... Mostly with live music or flamenco... But even if there's nothing going on, just eat in peace... Thank you for your service and commitment. Running a restaurant in these times is not easy.

We came here for the first time on a recommendation and were immediately very impressed. Since the food is sensational and you are welcomed into a very friendly atmosphere, we recommend that you reserve a table in advance, even during the week. 🙂 It's no wonder that the restaurant is busy on a Wednesday. We would love to come back and are already looking forward to the next time.

I tried it last year based on a recommendation and was not disappointed. Authentic Spanish cooking is done here with passion. The owners always try to give their guests a nice evening. The many tapas are all very tasty and the paella is the absolute highlight. If Spanish then only here!

Best Spanish restaurant in Hanau and the surrounding area!

Had dinner here this evening, by far the worst Spanish food in the area. The 4 tappas (3 meatballs, papas frittas, dates, sardines) were tasteless, only the aioli was tasty. 50€ for that is pretty cheeky. Ambience resembles an outdated and ugly backyard with old umbrellas and canned flower pots... once and never again!

The seafood is freshly prepared, the dishes are tasteful & the service is first class 👌🏼

It's amazing that on May 1st a bottle of 0.33 liter beer costs 5 euros and a cup of loveless sangria costs 7 euros, where you have to look for the fruit. And not to mention the overpriced food. This way you can take money out of people's pockets.

Were there today, May 1st. Live music, lots of people, sun, outside. Actually everything you need. But then the prices and the quality received 😵‍💫 - underground. The 0.4 water for 4,-, the 0.4 Estrella Gallizia for 5,-, the handful of pitted olives from the supermarket jar for 5,-, the 25 gram tortilla with two slices of white bread for 8,-... like some Renters already described - price performance unfortunately underground. You better keep looking 🤷🏼‍♂️

I recommend it. Of all the Spanish restaurants I have visited in Germany, this is the best. Good food, good service and quite affordable. Yes, I recommend calling and making a reservation before you go.

I was there with work colleagues and we really enjoyed it. The shrimp starter was excellent. As a main course I had the sea bream, which was delicious but the vegetables were a bit too salty for my taste...But that wasn't a big deal. For dessert there were churros just like I had eaten for the first time in Spain. Super delicious! Then there was live flamenco music, to which the owner danced and there was live singing. A pleasure I have to say... The prices were okay, service was great... Always happy to come back... Buenos noches amigos!

My partner and I were here to celebrate our anniversary. The reservation online worked without any problems, even when we had to postpone twice due to illness, this was easily possible via WhatsApp. Today was the day and we were absolutely not disappointed. The food was extremely tasty, authentically Spanish and the service was excellent. You can order in German and Spanish. All in all, a really nice restaurant with a wonderful ambience and friendly service. Five stars are absolutely deserved, we will definitely come back.

Schönes kleines Restaurant, Inhaberin sehr freundlich. Essen ist in Ordnung aber nichts besonderes. Die Möglichkeiten sind aufgrund der kleinen Küche begrenzt. Insgesamt sind die Preise leider deutlich zu hoch für die angebotene Qualität. Pro Person ca. 35€ und satt wird man eher nicht, Portionen sehr klein.

I walked past this place a few times and it seems to be situated in the most bizarre football club social room . I told myself , well if it's so 'unSpanish' on the outside then Jesus H Santa Maria what must it be like inside. Now ! As it happened someone bought us a voucher for the place. We STILL didn't go for almost a year and walked past several times more shaking our heads. Then we hit that awkward time in-between Christmas and New year when you actually don't know if it's new year or new york, when do the bins go out , what day is it and is it technically OK to start drinking at 11am. Dinner time is an absolute confusion. So we remembered the voucher and decided to be lazy. We'll! What can i say. This place is the real deal. Authentic Spanish speakers and guests , great menu , brilliant service and despite never being a Tapas fan - I bloody loved it . Seriously..it was authentic right down to the genuinely poor wall art of senoritas, strange lighting and guitars all over the walls. That for me is authentic. However it was spacious enough and the food was simply wonderful. We actually walked away raving about this place. Price, food, ambience , quickness of service , presentation, everything. OK, I've said enough. Try it yourself.

Seit 30 Jahren Gast. Einfach unser Spanier Nummer Eins. In der Zeit nicht ein einziges Mal gedacht "naja heute hatten sie wohl keinen guten Tag". Selbst in sieben Wochen Barcelon Aufenthalt keinen besseren gefunden. Uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen.

Unglaublich viel mehr drin, als man von draußen erwartet. Die kleine gemütliche Location zeigt Historie, super toller Service und sehr leckeres, selbstgemachtes Essen. Top Qualität der Zutaten. Authentische spanische Küche.

Eviva Espana! Ernsthaft. Hier kann man wirklich schmackhaft essen, man wird sehr freundlich und kompetent beraten und bedient, und wir hatten viel Spass. Lag sicher auch am guten Wein. Vorbestellung empfohlen. Der Laden war voll - und es war Sonntag Abend.

Das Rincón Español ist meine persönliche erste Adresse für gutes spanisches Essen. Vor allem die Tapas (warme und kalte Vorspeisen) sind ohne Ausnahme super lecker und zu 100% zu empfehlen. 😊 Der Service ist super und man hat innerhalb kürzester Zeit das Gefühl von Urlaub. Hier kann man perfekt abschalten und es wird nur noch getoppt, wenn der Mann mit der Gitarre schöne Lieder singt und die Chefin Flamenco tanzt. Spätestens dann hat man zu 100% das Gefühl Deutschland verlassen zu haben und genießt jeden noch so kleinen Augenblick. Meine einzige kleine Kritik bezieht sich auf das Ambiente im Hof, da es mehr ein Biergarten Feeling hat. Hier wäre es schöner den mediterranen Flair noch mehr umzusetzen um das Gefühl von Urlaub und die Entspannung zu steigern. Zusammengefasst kann ich das Rincón jedem empfehlen und werde auch weiterhin als Gast dort sein.
