A restaurant visit that's truly worth it: The food is delicious, freshly prepared, and very varied. There's something for everyone here! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. You feel a bit like you're in Spain, with a wonderful atmosphere and appropriate Spanish music. We will definitely return and recommend this restaurant.

Very tasty food (we especially loved the No. 9 bread with an incredibly good and intense garlic cream and bacon-wrapped dates) at fair prices. Very friendly service. We'll be back.

Wow, what an evening almost 4 weeks ago 😤😵‍💫... you're looking forward to a nice evening and it ends in arguments and four people eating separately, and the service staff seem to think that's completely normal since the food is freshly prepared. At least, this seems to be used as an argument for everything. The third person got their food after over an hour and we had already finished eating about 15 minutes because we had ordered tapas. The food (sea bream) for our fourth person still hadn't arrived after almost 2 hours. We lost our patience and just wanted to pay. But the gentleman who was in charge of drinks that evening countered this with arguments. Unbelievable how someone like that can be let loose on guests. Completely out of place. This gentleman had already attracted negative attention before when my partner was asked several times by this gentleman whether she was really eating in this restaurant when she asked where to use the toilet! Only after I repeatedly asked for the manager and threatened not to pay did he relent. The manager came (at least we could talk to him) and it turned out that the fourth meal hadn't even arrived in the kitchen. We had already asked about our food three times before. What was also shocking was that we were the second table to order that evening, so it was still very early. At the next table, there were two women, and we also noticed that they had been waiting longer because they had asked about their food. In summary, a bitter disappointment, even though the food was delicious. There's potential, but not with these service staff. In almost 35 years, something like this has never happened. We won't be visiting Bodega Andalucia again. Update 9/25: Their reaction today says it all about them and is very embarrassing. Instead of seeing justified criticism as motivation and learning from it, they like to harm themselves. 🤣🤔

We went there twice and ordered paella with seafood and fish. Plenty of fish and seafood, but unfortunately, the rice was overcooked and much too soft both times. We hope the rice will be more al dente next time.

A nice, cozy place in the old town of Steinheim. We discovered it by chance, and we weren't disappointed. Super friendly service, top-notch food, the fried anchovies are a dream. Calamari is buttery soft, and the rest of the tapas are also fantastic. I can recommend it with a clear conscience; keep up the good work; it won't be the last time we're there.

For a long time, I really enjoyed going to Bodega Andalucía because you used to get really good tapas there, and the taste and atmosphere were perfect. Unfortunately, that's changed significantly recently. The dishes don't taste the same as before, the seasoning and quality are declining, and you get the feeling that there's less attention to detail. It's a shame, because that's exactly what made this restaurant so special. I'm disappointed, because I had high expectations and came here with joy – the difference is all the more noticeable now. Hopefully, the restaurant will return to its former glory.

This was our first time at Bodega Andalucia, but certainly not our last! The food was incredibly delicious, freshly prepared, and appetizingly presented. One could criticize the fact that a few dishes were forgotten (which we received after reminding them), and that it took over an hour from the first to the last tapas. But the latter is probably due to the fresh preparation. The taste definitely makes up for it. The aioli is also divine! Finally, a restaurant where you don't need to add any extra seasoning. The value for money is absolutely reasonable. You can sit both inside and outside. The ambiance is cozy, with all sorts of harmonious decor. Outside, you can sit under parasols, among plants and flower boxes, and enjoy a beautiful view of the surrounding old town buildings. We will definitely visit again and highly recommend it to everyone 😃 👍

The location is located on Peace Square, but unfortunately, it doesn't correspond to the company philosophy. 🫩 Warning: There are two restaurants that offer seating here. I urgently needed to go to the tile department and, as a guest (by mistake of the other restaurant), wandered into the bodega. At the bar, I was immediately intercepted with a serious look and harsh words. I asked what I was looking for. I was looking for the restroom. Where would I sit? I said: "Right outside." They wouldn't even know where I was actually sitting. Still on the right outside. Then I was told, in essence, that I wasn't a guest at this restaurant and would please use the restroom there. My mistake, so far so good, but the way they communicate with potential guests and react to negative reviews is very off-putting. We would have liked to come here next time, but you can probably do without guests and recommendations. Customer-oriented service would have cost only a smile. A well-groomed, young, and cheerful woman stood in front of you. I wouldn't have dismantled your restroom. All the best for your future business. 🥰 We paid a three-euro tip. Very friendly and quick service, good food, nice and large terrace.

One star is still too many. This guy acts like a top dog. Residents' parking spaces are taken by his guests, who aren't informed. The staff park on the street all evening, blocking emergency exits in the old town. The kitchen staff pick herbs from the flowerpots on the street. Considering that many people are out there with their dogs in the evenings, that's a meal. The courtyard looks like it, old carpets are rotting. This place hasn't heard of any hygiene issues. The health department should take a look. Small note: A complaint has been filed :-)

Very tasty tapas and a great atmosphere

There were four of us, and we tried a variety of tapas. Super delicious tapas with sangria and tinto de verano. Everything was deliciously seasoned and authentic. The service was attentive and super friendly. All in all, a very nice evening on the terrace 😊 and it was fun. Muchas Gracias 🥰

We went out to dinner last night. It was absolutely delicious. I agree with some of the reviews that it was a bit saltier than you might be used to. But we loved that, I usually add more salt :) Everyone was super happy and full. Even with a small child, everyone was super friendly and sweet! It's nice to sit outside :)

Depending on the type of order, the dishes take a very, very long time to come through (tapas, 1 hour between starter and tortilla), and at the end, at 10 p.m., we were still in a good mood, sipping expensive wine, and were asked to quickly go inside because of the neighbors... into a completely overheated dining room :-( We wanted to pay and had to wait 30 minutes, sweating, annoyed. That ruined our evening. We won't be back, even though the food is very, very good. A little gastronomic tip: the waiters are the chef's salesmen.

Absolutely amazing food! We were five and everything that we ordered looked and tasted great. Mine was fish and chips, delicious! Very reasonable prices (meal with a large beer only Eur 20) for such a quality food. Excellent service and lovely - though a bit small - interior. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately, our Spanish restaurant around the corner was closed, so we went to a Spanish restaurant one street away. The ambiance outside is great thanks to the old town. The interior could use some renovations here and there. I don't know if the chefs and servers were having a bad day, but if this is the general condition of this restaurant, then I simply don't understand the many positive reviews. The aioli was good, but otherwise, it was nothing. The shrimp in garlic oil were not deveined and floury. The chicken in garlic oil consisted of cheap chicken wings. The bread with the aioli was old and simply lightly toasted. The dates were mushy, and the bacon wasn't fried enough. We ordered and charged for the peppers, but we never got them. The service wasn't particularly attentive, and being friendly is something else entirely. On top of that, there were sometimes very long wait times, even though there were few customers. On the board there was a drink that my wife really enjoys...after ordering, my wife had to explain almost the entire drink because the waitresses didn't know how to make it. In front of the guests, the manager became loud and slightly aggressive toward his employee, then even briefly wandered into the restaurant with a cigarette in his hand. All in all, a very poor evening and definitely not worth another visit. Sincerely

This is what I imagine Spanish food outside of Spain to be like. Everything is delicious, but you don't have a garlic allergy. 😄 On warm days, it's a great place to sit in the quiet old town center of Steinheim. The staff was always friendly and accommodating. We'll be back.

Really exceptionally good food; authentic cuisine

Oh man!!! We are still talking about this place today . We only went as our local tapas place was closed due to it being the day after a bank Holiday Monday. We are not even big fans of tapas but our local place was delicious so we wanted to go back . Unlike us , we decided that even though closed we would pursue our want for tapas and we checked on Google maps for an alternative. We know Stienheim as a town and it's beautiful . Very traditional and authentic. Bodega is right on the main square with outside seating but we decided to eat inside as rain was coming . From start to finish the service was amazing . Each dish that came out was better than the last. And it was the simple touches that absolutely won us over . The toasted warm bread to dip into the aioli was just brilliant and the warmed up olives were an unexpected delight. We will be back as we can't stop talking that warmed bread and olives.

It was very good. The portions are not quite in line with the prices; in my opinion, the portions are far too small for the prices.

Dropped by Bodega Andalucía and it felt like a little Spanish vacation — right in the middle of Hanau. The warm lighting, lively chatter, and smell of grilled seafood instantly set the mood. Tapas were top-notch, paella was pure comfort, and the sangria… dangerously good. By the end of the night, the place felt more like a friend’s living room than a restaurant. Can’t wait to come back!

We checked several times whether we were actually in the restaurant that had previously been rated more than positively, the name fits, everything else doesn't add up. For us it had very little to do with typical Spanish food and ambience. Sitting on the terrace is great, of course, hence four stars. Order taken quickly, then the wait began. Two drinks, ten minutes. Bread & Aioli, thirty (!) minutes. Other tables received their tapas drop by drop every twenty minutes. According to the cook, who previously served as a waitress, the paella for two that we ordered should take about 40 minutes, which is absolutely OK. In the end it was almost 90 minutes. It has to be said that there were less than ten people sitting on the terrace with us. In the direction of the toilet you can look into the kitchen, the gentleman was alone in the kitchen... We were about to pay because the waiting time was simply too long, but no one was interested... Then there was a loud discussion in the kitchen... "ready soon"... “Service” consisted of one person for an hour. Then a second lady came, which didn't make it any better. It could be that our empty glasses are still standing. We would have had something to drink, but if you didn't go to the counter yourself and order something, no one would come and ask. A "friend of the house" received his bread and olives within a few minutes, and there was also a lively conversation while we sat on dry land. Paella seafood, absolutely bland in taste, no “boom”. simply nothing! The typical "grill edge" was absolutely non-existent, rice was still floating in a kind of thin tomato broth/sauce. In our opinion it was simply not ready yet. The portion size for two people, well... All in all, a very disappointing (Spanish) evening...

A great Spanish restaurant. The host is hearty, as is the service. The advice is magical. Were with a Spaniard for the first time. The food is freshly prepared and, as desired, spicy and tasty. The restaurant has a terrace that even serves meals at this time of year. The place has a touch of a pub... lovingly designed and a little messy. But that's exactly how we imagined it... and we're not disappointed in any way. The menu is diverse but clear. You won't be killed. The bill is - highlight for us - brought in a box. Really romantic. Due to the many furnishings, the noise level of the guests was so low that one could have a normal conversation. The pans, some drinks, are lovingly decorated...so that the eye can eat with them. You can also avoid burning yourself on the handles of hot pans using napkin decorations. The staff fulfills every wish - as far as possible of course - and is very attentive and warm. We are already looking forward to the next time!

We had a great evening at the bodega. Since it was quite loud in the back area, we were able to easily move to a quieter table and were served very friendly. Despite the busyness, the food (grill plate for 2) didn't take long to arrive and was simply delicious. Gladly again!

We were there with 5 people (with a reservation) on a Saturday and were rather disappointed. The food was ok, but nothing was a highlight. I wouldn't order the sangria again because it just didn't taste like sangria. The prices are sometimes completely overpriced, and the price/performance ratio for many dishes and drinks is simply not right. The service employees were very friendly but the boss's harsh communication was inappropriate. Even while taking the order, answer the phone and walk away. In general, a lot of things took quite a long time, drinks sometimes had to be ordered several times, food was brought long after we had finished and unfortunately we had to wait forever for the bill. Toilets are clean but very old, interior design is rather kitschy, music is very loud. The evening was nice but we wouldn't come again.

The food was delicious, the service was friendly. You can't fault anything here. The prices were borderline (even though I know that everything became more expensive). In some cases the price-performance ratio was not right. The only thing that was really terrible was the table decorations. Carelessly placed salt and pepper shakers, straight from the supermarket to the table. There are such great spreaders or mills. The tablecloths were also a hideous sight. White tablecloths with seemingly cheap confetti spread on them and on top a transparent blanket attached with thumbtacks. The music in the background was also rather questionable. Sorry, that doesn't work at all and has nothing to do with a Mediterranean ambience.

We were looking for something for dinner on September 7th, 2024 and walked into the old town. We then came across this bodega. That really appealed to us and we got a table. It was pretty full, but it was very red. The food and the service were also excellent and we had a fun evening and were the last ones again 😁 Thank you for the nice service, keep it up

Well, I have to admit, it was my first time there and I was convinced by the positive reviews... that was a mistake. We had to wait for hours for our food, food was often swapped, a friend waited so long for his food that we had already finished other dishes... We were forced to have a starter, which we assumed would be a free greeting from the kitchen, and in the end we had to pay for something we didn't want. On the way to the toilet I noticed that the olives were in front of the toilets. The payment was also a disaster, the EC device didn't work and we had to wait an additional half an hour before we could pay... aja last but not least, the food was warm and tasty, but portions were very tiny and very expensive. When I complained about the condition, I was told that it wasn't a McDonalds... and I just thought to myself, yeah, like nothing works here. Wouldn't recommend it, you know.

We were there on August 8th. there as a couple. The food is completely overpriced. Service underground. The owner walks around with a cigarette in his mouth, the employee probably had his first day ever in the restaurant business.

The food was really good, but without a reservation you are mercilessly sent away. Host=cook=kitchen help seems overwhelmed with three tables and is therefore probably a little grumpy. It's a real shame, the bodega could do more and the food is really good! 👍

We always enjoy visiting Murat. The tapas are simply amazing and worth the money. We are always greeted personally like friends...that's what makes it special. In summer you can sit outside nicely. Otherwise, reservations are recommended as it is a very small restaurant. The most comfortable place to sit is in the corners on the left behind the counter! Be sure to try the Albondigas! But the sangria is also very tasty!

Absolutely fantastic and authentic Spanish restaurants in the heart of the old town of Steinheim. The tapas portions are large and very well seasoned and also very well prepared. I only award 4 stars here, because they were prepared with a bit too much oil for my taste and the prawns were not deveined, and finally the bread was a bit disappointing. However these are just minor issues with an overall very enjoyable dinner.
