Wir fühlten uns ab unserem ersten Besuch im Rieger’s unglaublich wohl. Das Restaurant ist sehr gemütlich und der Service sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen ist hervorragend. Wir freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch.

Wir hatten für zehn Personen inklusive zwei Kinder vorher reserviert, was an dem Abend auch notwendig war. Der Service war sehr freundlich und hat gut beraten. Die Speisekarte hat für jeden etwas geboten. Sehr kinderfreundlich!!! Wir hatten einen großen Hund- Briard- dabei. War völlig unproblematisch!!!Das Angebot war auch regional geprägt. Das Essen war individuell und außerordentlich gut. Jederzeit eine Empfehlung!!! Danke für den schönen Abend!!!!

Klare Empfehlung für dieses Restaurant. Liebevoll zubereitetes Essen aus regionalen und hochwertigen Zutaten, geschmacklich Top (die Steinpilzsuppe mit Hirschschinken Chips ist der Wahnsinn), dazu ein super freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service. Wer einmal hier war, wird definitiv wiederkommen.

Anlässlich unseres Hochzeitstages haben wir uns etwas gehobenes gesucht und sind hier gelandet. Wir hatten nicht reserviert und trotzdem noch ein Plätzchen bekommen. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Essen war hervorragend, so wie wir es uns gewünscht hatten. Ich kann dieses Lokal wärmstens empfehlen.

Ein ordentliches Restaurant mit gutem Essen. Es war nicht überfüllt, daher recht ruhig. Die Crème brûlée war sehr lecker.

Also das Essen ist nicht anders wie in anderen Lokalen in Oberstdorf. Nicht besser, auch nicht schlechter. Die Bewertungen finde ich zu hoch gegriffen.

Das Hirschragout war vorzüglich nachdem wir knapp eine Std. darauf warten mussten. Das Ambiente ist etwas kühl und der Flammkuchen war leider sehr enttäuschend

Immer wenn wir in Oberstdorf sind ist Riegers PFLICHT...es passt einfach alles. Essen, Service und Ambiente...*****!!! Man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an wertgeschätzt...wir werden auch beim nächsten Urlaub in Oberstdorf wieder reservieren...

In Oberstdorf absolut unser Lieblingsrestaurant. Das allerwichtigste: Das Essen schmeckt super! Aber eben auch... Es ist dennoch nicht spießig. Der "Chef" und die Bedienungen sind super freundlich. Die Portionsgrößen sind perfekt und eigentlich würde das Hauptgericht auch reichen um satt zu werden. Aber glücklicherweise machen die Bergwanderungen dann doch noch Appetit auf eine Vorspeise oder einen Nachtisch. Frühzeitiges reservieren eines Tisches ist absolut Pflicht, das Restaurant hat viele Stammgäste die schon weit im voraus reservieren :⁠-⁠)

Das Essen im Rieger's ist außergewöhnlich lecker und wird sehr ansprechend serviert von der sehr netten Servicekraft. Ich kann manche Rezensionen hier nicht nachvollziehen daß es zu teuer wäre...hier stimmt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis absolut. Ganz klare Empfehlung meinerseits,wer ein tolles außergewöhnliches Essen möchte das sich wohltuend vom üblichen Einerlei abhebt. Großes Lob an den Koch. Wenn man überhaupt etwas kritisieren möchte, dann das Hunde im Lokal erlaubt sind. Wenn der Hund sich ruhig verhält...ok. Aber wenn er sobald die Sercicekraft auftaucht quer durchs Lokal bellt und dies in einer Lautstärke daß man sich in seiner Unterhaltung schon gestört fühlt, finde ich das zuweilen grenzwertig. Der sehr gute Gesamteindruck bleibt jedoch bestehen.

Rieger's Restaurant ist ein absolutes Muss in jedem Oberstdorf-Urlaub. Sehr leckere Gerichte, ein freundlicher Service und ein schönes Ambiente sorgen dafür, dass wir uns wohlfühlen. Daher eine 100%ige Empfehlung von uns.

Das Riegers ist defintiv der absolute Preis/Leistungssieger im schönsten Dorf der Welt! Wir haben im Riegers so gut gespeist, wie noch nie in Oberstdorf. Hier wird handwerklich perfekt gekocht und der Service versteht sein Handwerk ebenfalls. Einen Besuch im Riegers kann ich jedem empfehlen, der mal abseits von Schweinsbraten, Hax'n und Leberkäs (welche ich allesamt sehr zu schätzen weiß!!) ausgefallener speisen und sich vom hervorragenden Service umgarnen lassen möchte. Wir hatten: Steinpilzsuppe mit frischen Steinpilzen Kürbissuppe mit rotem Curry Gesottene Rindsschulter mit roter Bete, Meerrettich dazu Bratkartoffeln und Sud-Gemüse Getrüffelter Flammkuchen mit Coppa und Rucola "kleine" Dessertvariation (hierfür wirklich nochmal einen gaaanz lieben Dank!!!) Beim Ambiente gibt es einen kleinen Abzug in der B-Note, da sich mir das Konzept mit den Papierservietten nicht ganz erschließt. Stoffservietten würden den zweifelsfrei vorhandenen hohen Qualitätsstandart des Hauses besser unterstreichen. Das ist auch kein Beanstanden, sondern nur ein liebevoll gemeinter Hinweis unseres Empfinden! Alles in Allem haben wir uns absolut wohl gefühlt. Ein Besuch im Riegers ist ab sofort definitiv gesetzt für kommende Oberstdorf-Aufenthalte.

Very friendly and attentive service, plus a very cozy atmosphere – we immediately felt welcome and at home. The food was absolutely delicious: We had three kinds of schnitzel with fried potatoes and salad, as well as venison ragout with spaetzle as the daily special, both of which were delicious. We had a wonderful evening and would gladly return! Highly recommended!

What can I say? A top-notch restaurant in Oberstdorf. A small menu with select dishes. The dishes are very well-balanced in flavor. Simply superb 😋 Very nice ambiance and simply excellent and competent service. We'll be back!!!

We ate at RIEGER'S RESTAURANT for the very first time yesterday, even though we've been visiting our beloved Oberstdorf for many years...it probably wasn't the right timing. We just have to say, it's a shame we missed it all these years. Yesterday, all our expectations were truly exceeded... Very friendly, attentive service...great and cozy atmosphere, outside on the terrace. The food was top-notch. The side salad alone was a stunner. Then came the beef steak, perfectly cooked and roasted. Changing the order from sweet potato fries to fried potatoes was no problem, and the super-delicious dips rounded everything off! I would have loved to at least know the ingredients in the pumpkin ketchup (it totally surprised and amazed me)...no chance, but definitely worth it! Highly recommended. I'd almost say it's a shame for anyone here in Oberstdorf not to stop by. WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK! THANK YOU to the Riegers team😘

We had reserved a table in the restaurant. This is definitely recommended as all tables were occupied. The restaurant is a bit away from the hustle and bustle and is very nice, including the outside area! The service is very nice and attentive! We had herb tagliatelle with chanterelles in cream sauce and venison ragout with spaetzle and sour cherries. We really enjoyed it. All in all a very good address, the price-performance ratio is good! We'll definitely be back.

I opted for the salmon. Unfortunately, it was charred black on the bottom, and they served it to the guests with a casual smile. You wouldn't expect such a rookie mistake from a chef at such a restaurant. It's a shame, but it's good that the bill was adjusted.

We made a reservation there before our vacation for our wedding anniversary. The welcome was very warm; after we gave our names, we were congratulated on our wedding day. The service was truly first-class, and so was the food. We come to Obersdorf every year, and next year we'll be coming to Riegers as well. 10 out of 10! Thank you for the great food, and your Riegers Spritz is truly delicious!

A very nice restaurant, here you can find authentic South German cuisine with vegetarian alternatives and a fantastic Kaiserschmarrn. The service was very accommodating and polite. However, you should hurry because it can get very crowded here at the weekend and you should definitely make a reservation in advance.

Great food with good service. Unfortunately, there is no instruction about taking off the coat, so many guests put their jackets on the chair. This creates an atmosphere like in a fast food restaurant... It's a shame, otherwise it could get much better reviews.

Nice shop, but the homemade ribbon noodles with beef medallions were old, dry and stuck together in lumps. The meat was ordered medium well and came rare. When asked for a correction, the plate was met with an eye roll. We also had to wait almost 1.5 hours for the food. Only the porcini mushroom sauce was perfect.

We have been going there regularly on vacation for years. The food is really first class, no matter what I've eaten so far. You can tell the love with which it is prepared! All the ingredients are fresh, you can taste it. The service staff are very attentive, even when it's busy. Even then, they are calm, take their time, and you feel completely taken care of. The location is furnished very tastefully and with attention to detail without being overloaded. We look forward to being your guests again next December

We reserved a table on Tuesday with our two children. Insane… friendly, accommodating… are still understatements. Food looked like it was painted and tasted amazing. It was simply perfect... we then reserved another table for Friday. Thank you for such a gastronomically perfect evening 🤗

Everything just fits. Nice atmosphere, very, very tasty food at real prices and friendly service. Reservations, especially for the seats outside, are recommended.

We wanted to stop there after a long hike with our dog and asked if there was still a table available. We were then told that there was still something available inside and that we should contact our colleague. When our colleague arrived, they immediately denied that there was still a table available and we were asked out with a derogatory gesture and look. Whether it was due to our hiking outfit, which is probably not unusual for Oberstdorf, or it was the dog that suddenly there was no table left left open to interpretation. Maybe the staff isn't sufficiently informed about the availability of the seats, but we would have liked to have been informed straight away that you can only eat there if you wear appropriate clothing, without a dog and, if necessary, with a reservation. That would have been completely fine, as you can't expect every restaurant to accommodate dogs or hikers. But this unfriendly treatment, where you feel like you are not welcome, is simply unacceptable for a restaurant!

Very fine food and good service

We recommend making a reservation in advance. We had dinner at 5:00 p.m., we were one of the first, and many/all tables were reserved. The service is very good and friendly. The menu is - fortunately - somewhat reduced. The food was very tasty, we really enjoyed it. For the service and taste, the price is completely okay. There are several very varied and delicious juices - as an alcohol-free alternative they are worth trying out! We can recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience.

The Rieger's restaurant is a very special highlight for us during all of our Oberstdorf stays. Everything really fits here!

The restaurant is hidden, something for explorers. Meat was great and the potato side dishes could be crispier. Fast and friendly service at an almost reasonable price.

You can eat very well here. Price/performance ratio fits. Service and quality grade 1-2+ I would say. Good food selection; not too big and not too small - something for everyone.

Today we went to Rieger's with three people for a long time. The weather was good and we were able to reserve a table in front of the restaurant. We chose "tomato soup with country cream and basil oil" and "three types of schnitzel made from country pork, Allgäu beef and turkey breast" as well as "Caesar salad with fried chicken breast". We were not disappointed with the dishes. The soup and the main courses were very tasty. There was reason to criticize the service. She didn't want to make an effort to take the plate off the table while clearing it and asked for our help :-( It's a shame, everything at Rieger's works except for this faux pas.

You feel welcome as soon as you enter the restaurant. The welcome is very warm and friendly. You will be accompanied to the place and given very courteous advice. The service is excellent. The food is in no way inferior to the service; I could have bathed in the chestnut soup. All in all, a very nice and very tasty evening. Highly Recommended!

Extremely delicious food in a quiet atmosphere.

I rarely write bad reviews but I have to express my disappointment with this restaurant. We called a few days ago and wanted to order takeout. Someone answered the phone very hostilely and told us they couldn't do it and didn't even ask what we wanted to order. I believe that everything can be explained in a friendly manner. I've never experienced anything like this in my life. We just wanted to order a Kaisersmaren for a friend who had surgery and couldn't go to the restaurant with us. Thank you very much! Be kind!

We were very satisfied with our two visits to Rieger's. The cod was on point, the ox cheeks were tender as butter. However, a special compliment goes to the great sauces, which I would have liked to have more of. Only the duck breast would have needed a little less cooking time. But with the accompanying sauce it's still a treat. The chestnut/celery soup was also outstanding, with its consistency and especially its wonderful taste. The wine selection is manageable, but the Zweigelt didn't entirely convince me. But a very nice Primitivo and a fine Riesling from the Robert Weil winery in Rheingau. The service was very friendly. Overall we were very satisfied, thank you very much!

We were there with my family yesterday. My first impression was like a time journey to 90s due to its decoration which i loved. The food was very delicious, deserts like Creme Brulee and Kürbiskernparfait was exceptionally good. And the service was best-in-class in the region, very professional and friendly. So we hope to come back again in our next year's ski holiday.

Had dinner at Riegers with friends this evening. Discovered the restaurant while strolling around town. What luck, it was a poem. From entering to saying goodbye, everything was perfect. Very friendly service that provided perfect service. The aperitif, the meal and the dessert are a poem. The Riegers has three new fans, so we made another reservation for tomorrow. Today, 2 years later, I ate at Rieger's again, also with the two new fans from back then and seven other friends. Everything I wrote 2 years ago also applies to today's visit. Instead of steak today we had duck breast, which was also perfect. I'm already looking forward to my next vacation and my visit to Rieger's.

We went to Rieger's for the first time last Thursday. And what can I say, it was a very nice evening. The food was excellent, the service was perfect, the place was cozy and the host came to the table personally. We'll definitely come back.

The food no longer had the same sophistication, which was probably because it was shortly before the company vacation. It had a feeling of "leftovers". It's a shame. A reference to this was unfortunately ignored without comment.

Die Gerichte werden selbst und frisch zubereitet, geschmacklich top, Menge ok (Bedienung hat aber sogar von sich aus angeboten nochmal Beilage nachzubringen). Frische Zubereitung hat etwas lange Wartezeit (knapp 45 Minuten ab Bestellung) zur Folge. Unbedingt vorher reservieren!

Wir waren dort im Urlaub zu 5. essen und es war alles von vorne bis hinten fantastisch! Sehr freundliche, aufgeweckte Bedienung, sehr gutes Essen und modernes Ambiente. Toll auch, dass der Flammkuchen, den wir gemeinsam als Vorspeise bestellt hatten bereits klein geschnitten auf 5 Tellern kam! Auch die veganen Speisen sind der Hammer dort, absolute Empfehlung.
