Very cute little sushi place with sushi that rivales that of Japan. It also has great sushi/korean fushion. Try the Kimchi onigiri, amazing to go too. Love it!!!

Best onigiris in Berlin, perfect snack in between

I can really only recommend it!! The food was absolutely great, which I didn't expect given the low prices. You especially have to try the pumpkin sushi. Furnishings are simple but cute.

For some people, part of the whole experience of eating out is also the atmosphere, but I personally find that a lot of restaurants in Berlin focus more on making things look instagrammable and less on making quality food. Rice In might be pretty sparse - the interior and exterior is very unassuming - but if all you care about is delicious food for a good price, you need to go here. Prices are super fair and the food is absolutely incredible. Def in the cut.

The onigiris are to die for!! 😍🤤 Definitely stick with the rice-based stuff! (Unfortunately the noodle soups are not their strong point) I order onigiris and rice bowls EVERY TIME, if the store wasn't so far away from me I would go at least once a week. 🙈

Great little Japanese spot near Boxi. So far the only place in Berlin that I’ve found that makes good onigiri! Prices are affordable and the sushi is fresh and simple. No fancy splashy designer rolls just basic good sushi. Miso soups are also filling and large.

The sushi from Rice in Chef was outstanding - each piece a little work of art! I was impressed by the freshness of the ingredients, the perfect balance of flavors and the loving preparation. The chef not only shows his craftsmanship, but also creativity and passion for the art of sushi. Highly recommended – a must for every sushi lover!

Anytime again was a year ago!!! Currently the salmon is only in tiny pieces and the rice is cold! And the onigiri is dry!… you also take money and reduce the quality until the shop remains empty. Very, very sad ☹️

Rather westernized but still delicious. Apparently everything here is self-service except when the food is brought out. The eel was of good quality and the bowl was inexpensive 👌🏻 I also found the onigiris delicious.

I have been visiting this restaurant repeatedly since Rice In opened. The sushi variants, the Dons (bowl with fish, vegetables and rice) or the take-away onigiri (seasoned rice balls, a triangular shape, covered with nori seaweed) taste very delicious. I like coming because of the fresh ingredients. Staff is super friendly and helpful. The best onigiri in Berlin. The salad and sushi are also very delicious. An authentic place where the protagonist is the food and there is no need to distract with colored lights.

Single worst ramen I've ever had. The quality is instant ramen at best. Unlike "authentic" miso ramen, in which miso paste is mixed as tare with a rich broth, my noodles were drenched in the watery miso soup you get as a side for sushi. The onigiri fared slightly better, but unfortunately fell apart. The interior and atmosphere is spartan, to say the least. Simply sad. Avoid at all cost.

Very very tasty sushi! Quite simply kept store with very friendly service! We have been coming here for years and have always been satisfied! Today we had Edamame (€4.50) and then K3 (€11.50 3 Nigiri & 8 Spicy Tuna California) and K6 (€14.50 6 Nigiri & 6 Maki Tuna) - all great! Price-performance ratio is definitely right!

Nice little Japanese Restaurant offering Ramen, Sushi, soups and Onigiri. 🍙 The interior ist quite simple. But the quality of the food is quite good. I can recommend the Onigiri as a healthy and affordable snack.

Wir waren zu viert dort essen und haben mit je einem Getränk 80€ dort gelassen. Die Einrichtung ist wirklich einfach. Das Hauptgeschäft scheint auf dem Lieferservice zu liegen. Die Mitarbeiterin war freundlich und geduldig beim Bestellen. Wir hatten 5 Vorspeisen, 1x Sushi und zwei verschiedene Misosuppen. Das Kimchi hat uns besonders gut geschmeckt.

Big onigiris for a fair price (between 4-5€) with plenty of fillings, the service might take a while since this is a newly opened place but staff is very friendly! :)

Mega leckeres, authentisches Essen und sehr freundliche Bedienung. Die vegetarische Auswahl könnte größer sein, aber die Sachen die es gibt sind top. Würde es jedem empfehlen dahin zu gehen.

The worst sushi i ever have eaten. The spice California rolls was terrible, thy had canned tuna, feels like something you feed you cat with. And the Wasabi is not real Wasabi Would never recommend this place.

Amazing Sushi!!! I lived in Tokyo for two years and this place is incredible. The prices are so affordable - for real people. The owner is SO kind. Definitely come here. The choice of beer - Kirin, Berliner, and more - perfect after a long day of hoofing it around Berlin. LOVE. Ate here night after night because pizza, noodles, and whatever didn’t make me happy.

I have to explore more food from here. I just tried there spicy tuna california. They were perfect and so fresh!

Rice is a cute hole in the wall place. I wouldn't have known about it if I hadn't been taken there by a friend who knew the owner. The decor isn't flashy which means the food needs to speak for itself. The onigiri is such a great deal and absolutely delicious. This place is tasty and affordable which is a combination that's increasingly hard to find in Berlin after inflation hit.

Sushi standards and simple Korean-Japanese dishes (donburis, edamame, onigiris, etc) served in a refreshingly reliable quality and very reasonable prices. I've frequented this place for about 8 years, and not once did they let me down in terms of food quality - and not many sushi places in Berlin can claim that.

At first seems like a small and not welcoming place, not the most fancy but it just had amazing food, beer and fair prices. Recommend it a lot to leave the hype of boxi asian places. Onigiri and ramen were really tasty and well served. Definitely will come back.

Sehr gute frisch zubereitete Sushi. Auch die Misosuppe ist zu empfehlen. Ganz besonders lecker : Onigiri Lachs Teriyaki und die Kampyo Maki. Die Betreiber dieses kleinen Sushirestaurants in Friedrichshain sind sehr freundlich.

War dort mit 2 Freundinnen Samstag Nachmittag ohne Reservierung. Haben sofort draußen einen Tisch bekommen. Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Speisekarte war nicht üppig, aber gut. Essen war hervorragend. Auch etwas für Veganer dabei. Die udon suppe war super. Preis- Leistung war ziemlich gut. Auf jeden Fall weiter zu empfehlen!

Noch nie einen so uneingerichteten Laden gesehen, der Service ist auch eher homöopathisch. Sushi ist dafür aber solide und Preise in Ordnung. Würde nicht aus Charlottenburg herfahren, aber wenn man eh gerade in der Gegend ist und Lust auf unkompliziertes, günstig-gutes Sushi hat, dann ist das der richtige Ort.

Small and unassuming place with delicious food

One of the very best sushi places in town. No fancy ingredients,just the basics done absolutely right. Love the well made rice, which is the essence of sushi. The place is as minimalistic as it can get, it doesn't look fancy, but the food is great. It's one of the few that got it right when it comes to sushi.

I come here for zirashi don! The best I found in Berlin so far. Starters are great too! Haven’t tried sushi though
