Rheinlust in Bonn

Not recommended. The pork fillet pan in cream sauce was served in a soup bowl with tough pork goulash in a watery liquid. And I had to wait an hour for that. Never again! The service staff, obviously all students, were very friendly. The only positive thing about our visit there.

Very nice atmosphere but unfortunately no organization in the kitchen. Because you have to wait a very long time for your food.

Very unpleasant experience, the steak was supposed to be done and the sauce separately, none of it was implemented, when we pointed it out, the answer was “next time” - sorry guys, but really unprofessional and far from customer satisfaction.

I've always wanted to go here, it's too crowded for me in the summer, today October 17th. It was empty.. I was here and unfortunately it was the last time to eat. Why? 1. No card payment and you only find out when you want to pay. This is a NO GO!!!! and yes, as others have written.. one can only hope that the tax offices check such places closely.. 2. Waiting time... my pizza took 40 minutes, it was good but only that. 3. The chai latte was bad.. 4. Toilets are a rather disgusting affair and, like the whole store, they need a renovation. In short, the shop lives from the view... rightly so, I wouldn't spend any money on food, you can't go wrong with drinks. And there is nothing more to write...

Jacket potatoes with herb quark: kept very simple. But otherwise friendly service, even if you had to call more often. But that seems to be a fundamental problem in the catering industry, that waitresses often don't let their eyes wander. It was a lovely evening with old school friends.

I can recommend the Margherita Pizza. I really liked it. Service was nice and requests were taken into account :) And of course the view is great.

Only cash. They are very slow in taking orders and we waited for an hour for the food. One waitress in particular was not very friendly, almost rude. The quality of the food is definitely not worth it.

We ordered waffles and coffee, the coffee came quickly, we waited 30 minutes for the waffles and at the end we were told that the waffles would only be prepared now.

Definitely recommended. Good price/performance ratio. Gladly again.....

We came to drink beer in the evening, it was nice.

The view is very nice, but unfortunately that was it. The schnitzel was ok, the fries were very little and barely salted, fried far too short and a disgrace for the price. Our group first forgot a drink and then we were each given a glass twice that still had dishwater in it. Afterwards, another meal was forgotten, so one of our group had to eat long after everyone else had finished. In addition, you cannot pay by card, which is already very worrying for 2024. If this restaurant were in a less beautiful location, it would certainly have been closed long ago.

Nice place, nice beer garden. But unfortunately the organization, service and kitchen is a disaster. Order came late, was taken incorrectly, both meals were lukewarm and service didn't take good care of the guests. I noticed at neighboring tables that there was also dissatisfaction there. It's a real shame, it could be nice, but definitely not worth a second visit and not recommended to anyone. No card payment possible! You probably already know why.

The atmosphere was pleasant. Although the food was served late, it was hot and delicious. The beer, on the other hand, was cold and tasty. I'm not sure if it was a service issue or just a delay, but overall, I recommend this place. It's a great spot to meet up with friends or family and watch the sunset.

In summer you can sit very nicely in this restaurant. You have a good view of the Rhine and what is happening on the promenade. The food was good and the service was very friendly. You can go here!

The location of the Rheinlust is great. However, everything is very close together so that there is space for as many people as possible. The menu is quite old-fashioned and very manageable when it comes to vegan dishes. Food is ok. Dogs are welcome and receive water and cuddles from staff. The waitresses are very friendly. It's great for a quick stop for a beer. I would eat somewhere else :)

Beer garden catastrophe, beer tent set not suitable for long periods of sitting, the floor only made of pebbles, my shoes were totally dirty and everything was dusty

The restaurant right on the Rhine is simply beautiful.. the service has always been super friendly, I have to praise that, but if you want to eat here you are only on the safe side with the tarte flambée or snacks such as nuggets or calamari.. I'm very angry because I really feel sick after today.. I ate chicken that wasn't fried, but baked. I was a cook myself and can therefore judge it well.. it was just like it came from the refrigerator shelf in the package and then sweet and sour poured over it. I haven't eaten as badly as I did today and I've never had such a stomach ache after going to a restaurant!!! It's a shame to sell something like that, even if it looked good at first. It was dry, ready-made chicken and unfortunately it was the third time that I had hair in my food from the cook. Of course, the really lovely waitress immediately passed it on to the kitchen and I didn't want to say anything at first. It's nice how professionally she responded to it, big praise again. Since I know how stressful it is in the kitchen and gastronomy, I want to close my eyes for the last time, but I would wholeheartedly recommend the kitchen! Please wear chef's hats and dare to season it. The bulgur was simply poured with water and cucumbers and peppers were roughly chopped. To the guests...this shop is recommended for a nice evening if you stay away from the overly demanding dishes and concentrate on the wine, cocktail or snack menu. And because of the nausea, I really hope for your sake that you stick to the HACCP, because someone else could have reacted more strictly here, a friend also let the schnitzel go back last time... maybe you should really focus on simpler things concentrate like pizza, tarte flambée... finger food and drinks, you can't go wrong. Everything except the food is a great place to have a beer in the evening..

The best thing about the store is the location with a view of the Rhine. We waited a whole hour for the food only for it to end up not being seasoned enough. It is also expensive. In addition, the food is not served at the same time. You can also cook faster and better at home.

Die Bewertung beschreibt ein sehr negatives Erlebnis im Restaurant. Die Tische waren klebrig und das Personal wirkte unorganisiert. Es gab extrem lange Wartezeiten: Musste eine Stunde auf einen Flammkuchen warten, der dann auch noch roh war,. Gab aber dann noch eine Steigerung, meine bessere Hälfte sogar zwei Stunden, bis das ungenießbar Essen für geschlagene 26,-€ kam. Insgesamt herrschte ein chaotischer Eindruck, und das Personal zeigte sich uneinsichtig gegenüber den Problemen, da man so viel zu tun hat und sein BESTES gibt ! Für die Preise einfach nur unverschämt! 100,- in die Tonne geschmissen ! Da können wir doch nur einen Dank aussprechen !

Service: friendly, tried hard, overwhelmed. Food: below average, served for our group over an hour. Forgot a meal. Ordered paid extras were not served even when asked. But they were on the bill. Kölsch: without foam from glass jugs. Location: very nice. Conclusion: it would be fair not to accept more guests than can be served with reasonable service.

Drinks and food take forever. The first meal came after an hour, the last of 5 after another. Even after asking, ketchup and mayo didn't come at all. Invoice was incorrect.

Had the worst Burger ever here. The thing gave me diarrhoea for 2 days. The service was ok and the beer was cold hence two stars but don’t eat here.

This place has *massively* improved in terms of service over the last few years. A bit annoying that they still don't take card though. The food is unfortunately quite bland and unexciting. Burgers are OK but the Flammkuchen is... really not enjoyable. It's very dry with hardly any cream or anything on top. And the actual dough really doesn't suit it: it's heavy, tough and very difficult to digest. Gave me a bit of a stomach ache. But overall this is a good place for drinks on the river and prices are OK! Just avoid the flammkuchen.

Unfortunately, the quality of the burger and salad were rather mediocre. The paddy very firm and with little taste. The service and ambience are an advantage here.

The ambience and the view of the Rhine are the most beautiful. The waiter was annoyed by the question of whether the dish was vegan. I apologize for my diet. 😞 Guacamole tastes artificial, like it's ready-made from the supermarket. Freshly served watery ginger ale.

Delicious! Service was good but cash only... That's not very good. So our stay was limited because we ran out of cash. The atmosphere is nice but cramped.

Unfortunately we had to wait a very long time (1.5 hours) for our food. Unfortunately, we weren't told when we placed the order that it could take so long. We think it's a shame! Food was otherwise okay. You've eaten better, but also significantly worse. The outdoor area is of course really beautiful and the view of the Rhine completes the ambience. The service is okay. Unfortunately, a waitress rarely came by where we were sitting. This left us with a drink and a meal in about 2 hours of presence. If you just want to have a drink in a relaxed atmosphere, Rheinlust is definitely a good place to go.

A nice shop, with good beer. You can put more effort into the ambience, for example using uniform tables and chairs and decorating a little more lovingly. The service is attentive, but next time please bring the pillows to the table and don't let the guest get them themselves. The chef actually talked very loudly, which was perceived as disturbing. It's definitely worth a detour to have a nice beer on the Rhine. However, only cash payment is cheese

Spaghetti all' Arrabiata (according to menu) Maybe it was the time and the cook(?) wasn't very ambitious at lunchtime. The plate was way too crowded. Unfortunately the pasta was watery and overcooked. Tomato sauce that was too thin and various pieces of vegetables thrown together. There was a glass bowl with coarse parmesan right on top of the pasta, not exactly hygienic. Top layer of pasta cool, worked downwards and it got hotter there. Arrabiata without arrabiata, unfortunately. The service was top. The view of the Rhine is unique. I know the Rheinlust from before and the food there was always great. The drinks were ok. Unfortunately no card payment possible.

Auf das eine Essen mussten wir 30 Min. warten. Wir wurden immer wieder vertröstet, das Essen komme gleich. Das Essen war dann völlig ungeniessbar, verkocht. Das Personal war sehr unfreundlich. Auch war es sehr schade, dass nur Barzahlung möglich war.

Overall, the food there is delicious. I can recommend the Buddha Bowl with fish and mango. Unfortunately, the pasta with turkey/chicken in pesto sauce was a bit boring and it didn't taste like pesto at all, and the bruschetta was also a bit boring in taste. The absolute highlight was the penne al salmone with a nice, slightly spiciness and tasty sauce. Sweet potato fries are also a clear recommendation! The schnitzels are quite small. The homemade iced teas are highly recommended. The service is mostly good, but there seem to be a lot of changing waiters who sometimes work more, sometimes less well, but that's not a big problem if you're an understanding guest there ;)

Very nice beer garden, right on the Rhine, good food, the bowl was comparatively cheap and tasty. However, we had to wait quite a long time for the food when it was full.

The location is of course great, but that's not great art right on the Rhine. Unfortunately that's the only positive thing I can report. The service is really chaotic. There are staff running around everywhere, but to place an order you have to shoot a warning gun in the air. I often read here "it's ok for a quick beer", in my opinion it doesn't always have to be "spectacular" or "extravagant", but you have to have the basics. A smile costs nothing, and discussing with the guest and questioning his taste... so please!! After a glass tipped over on us, it only took 5 minutes until we received a rag and a look of contempt. It really hurts my heart to leave such a review. I started rating restaurants because I would like to use my positive experiences to encourage others to give it a try and to praise and support honest hosts who treat guests and food responsibly. But I also have to share this experience. I hope you don't take offense to this, but you should work on it. I will definitely try it again at some point and let myself be surprised. A very pretty beer garden where there is always a lot going on. Personally I think it's a bit expensive but the location makes up for the price. What I find very strange is that by default you can only pay with cash (especially given the relatively high food prices)

If you're just looking for something to drink, it might be ok. But when I order two beers in the self-service area for my first time and simple cheese cubes and have to wait over 90 minutes for these cheese cubes before they finally arrive after repeated requests, then that's not good. The store wasn't that full and pizza, salads, etc. were constantly being delivered to other guests. Simple cheese cubes! And when they came, it was a little pile of cheese with more pretzel sticks than anything else. Cheese, onion and mustard should be included according to the menu. What do you get? Pretzel sticks (en masse), 15 cheese cubes, lettuce leaf, tomato. Almost acceptable, but I'm waiting more than 90 minutes for this? Can not be! I haven't been here for two years now and I probably won't check back again for another two years at the earliest! Very disappointed!

Nicely located/nice terrace and nice restaurant. However, the quality of the cuisine leaves something to be desired. Unfortunately, it wasn't the first time we fell for it. The food always arrives late at the table. So eating together is not possible. A delay of 15 minutes when serving is normal there:-( Definitely recommended for a cozy beer. It's better to eat somewhere else

Beautiful old traditional restaurant and pub in Beuel. Puts you in a good mood, tastes good and there is good beer from the Westerwald. Also suitable for groups, although a former Aibi meeting was too loud for me. Still, it's nice when people are happy. Tip: Go and see if Rheinlust suits you.

nice place right on the Rhine. The shop is stylish and the terrace is nice to sit on. Prices are okay. Unfortunately there were no drinks in some places. Unfortunately the service is not that attentive. Taking photos of the drinks and contacting the table takes a long time, empty plates and drinks pile up on the table and are only taken away upon request.

Our children (6 years old) wanted ice cream. Then the Rhine pleasure came to mind while we were walking. We sat down on the terrace and unfortunately the tables were really sticky, so I had to wash my jacket at home. There are waffles with ice cream for sale, but we were told that small children were only allowed to eat ice cream. So we were forced to buy the waffle. The waitress was totally unfriendly and didn't even say thank you for the tip. We didn't feel comfortable. The food, however, was very tasty.

A wonderful place right on the beautiful Rhine. Invites you to linger and it promises a beautiful sunset in the evenings. It is quiet and you can enjoy your time here. The espresso was super delicious.😋

Very pleasant place, not far from the center of Bonn. Plenty of seating, but make sure you reserve a table in advance otherwise there may be no seats available. The waiters are pleasant young ladies and gentlemen. The order was taken immediately but the downside was that we had to wait 50 minutes for our food. Drinks were served within 5-10 minutes. Pleasant, unobtrusive music plays in the restaurant. Overall I am very happy with this place. I recommend it.

Very unfriendly employee who behaved rudely towards us. Unfortunately we left the restaurant early because our food didn't come after about an hour. We had the feeling that we had been forgotten. Guests who arrived much later had their food long ago. When asked about this, the waitress reacted grumpily and annoyed. We think there is another way, especially since we have always felt comfortable in the Rheinlust. The employees have always been attentive and friendly. It's a shame that we were very unlucky this time. Even the cuisine, which we couldn't enjoy this time, was always good.
