Restauration Kopernikus - Restaurant & Biergarten in Nürnberg

The food was great! We tried pirogi, borsch, schnitzel and dish of the day. Definitely will come back again.

We were guests at lunchtime with a group (14 people). I have to honestly say that I didn't expect much when I entered the rather inconspicuous, cool dining room. But we were taught otherwise. Very nice service. Great beer. All dishes were fantastic and more than enough (about too much). I would like to highlight the huge Cordon Bleu. Freshly baked, no frozen food or anything else. All dishes arrived at the same time, which is not a given in a group. We will definitely come back when we are in Nuremberg again.

I recently went to the Kopernikus restaurant and can only recommend it! The Polish food was incredibly tasty and the price-performance ratio was absolutely right. The portions are huge - we were more than full! I would particularly like to highlight the friendly and attentive service, which made our stay even more pleasant. We'll definitely be back!!!!

In my opinion the most beautiful beer garden in Nuremberg. Thanks to the large portions, no one will leave the table hungry. The staff is friendly and always available without being intrusive. My recommendation: The dark master cyclist.

So, apart from the fact that you find the location either by chance or through a tip, the Kopernikus is really recommended. The atmosphere is great, the beer garden is great, especially when the weather is nice. The view is great, the food is delicious and to the point. The real hit was Lara, in addition to the already beautiful ambience and the good food, she was the reason that we would definitely stop by again. Friendliness is a given, but the touch of personality with enthusiasm and fun at work - when the guests aren't too strenuous - are what really stand out. Thank you @Lara for a special afternoon and evening :) So if you're looking for a good atmosphere paired with location and food at reasonable prices - you've come to the right place. At least that's what we were able to experience as a family of 8 😀

Nice restaurant, great beer garden. Unfortunately, food is decreasing and portions are getting smaller. New menu and price increase. But what we absolutely cannot understand... Why is there no indication that schnitzel is only available from 4 p.m.!?!?!?!?! According to the staff, it's been like this for over a year... There's nothing on the homepage, there's nothing on the menu. We wanted to spend the lunch break eating schnitzel, but thanks to the new price of 17.90 euros, we're going somewhere else. Staff tried hard, but somehow a bit haphazard.

Atmosphere in the beer garden on the old city wall is cool. The two student (?) waitresses were also super attentive, unfortunately the food was a failure. The only Mediterranean thing about the salad of the same name were the dates, so the side salad at the Italian restaurant around the corner is of higher quality...

We went there for a beer yesterday morning. As soon as we entered, the waitress asked us whether she should bring a bowl of water for our dog when she came to see us. She was at our table immediately with the bowl and the menus. We were advised about the aroma and orientation of the beers. When we had almost finished our drinks, we were asked if we would like to drink something else. Very attentive and careful, especially in the heat. We saw that the employee enjoyed her work, which she also told us in the short conversation. Highly recommended, great beer garden. We can't say anything about the food as we only had something to drink. We'll definitely be back!!🍺👍

Super nice location slightly elevated on the city wall under umbrellas in the shade. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the food was served quickly and was generally tasty and reasonably priced. We will definitely come back!

Very nice cool place, nice open space. We ate schnitzel with potatoes, a chicken salad, drank beer and spetzi. The portions are really huge, we left full of food. Biggest portions we saw here in Nuremberg and also very tasty all .I recommend it 100%!!

Iconic and cozy location, access was with the VGN. Five of us sat outside in the fully occupied beer garden after a very heated day. The food, pork schnitzel with fries. Ordered extra salad. The schnitzel was large, the breading was too crispy and where it came off you could see dark spots of meat. Now I knew again why we usually only make “schnitzel” from poultry. Tasty is different. The fries ok. The salad was huge but without dressing. The Radlerbier didn't taste good at all. In my opinion, the noise from the guests is also quite strong. Unfortunately, the only thing that convinced me was the fast and friendly staff.

A good restaurant with a small beer garden on the old town wall in the Krakow Tower. The beer is excellent and the food is good. The pierogies are recommended. All employees are very courteous, quick and friendly. All in all a nice place to relax.

the outdoor space in the middle of the wall is perfectly organized. There aren't always any guests walking around between the tables asking if they can have a chair, table or seat. There is someone down at the entrance who is in constant contact with the outdoor area with a handheld spark and is constantly coordinating everything. The agreed number of people can only be increased if there is space upstairs. The outdoor area itself is completely shaded with parasols so that you don't brood in the sun. So absolutely perfect. The food is Polish, with the usual Franconian-Bavarian twist. German cuisine is simply a concession to the local population. Polish cuisine would have been enough for me, as it is diverse and very, very tasty. Otherwise the food is very rich and absolutely inexpensive. The waitresses were very attentive, friendly and incredibly quick. Nowadays, this is what we call professionals who enjoy their work. You definitely tip more. Overall, I can absolutely recommend this restaurant/outdoor seating! But make sure you make a reservation, otherwise you might end up standing at the entrance for a really long time waiting for a seat because you're sitting very, very comfortably in the outdoor area and don't really want to leave. In other words: An unseen gem that deserves much more attention, but would then no longer be a gem.

The positive thing is that the staff is so friendly and on the ball. The schnitzel didn't cause any particular taste explosion. The portion is large and you will be full. It's nice to sit in the beer garden, but after a little more than an hour your butt starts to hurt a little from the chairs.

Nice atmosphere, very good food and a really great waiter (with an Irish (?) accent). He was really friendly, always there and yet not intrusive. A really nice evening because everything was just perfect. Downtown location, so no parking spaces in front of the front door. And there are some stairs to climb with an elevator anyway, in case that's problematic for a reader.

The food was OK but not exceptional. Unfortunately, the portion size of the beef goulash was not appropriate for the price. Since it started to rain, we as a group were more or less "compensated" - the beer garden obviously didn't need any sales.

Hello...we were in the beer garden in great weather and it was very full but we were served very quickly and the drinks and food were at the table quite quickly The prices are completely OK. We had the schnitzel with champions for €19.90 (really big portion) PS. We also got a few tips on where to go in the evening in Nuremberg and have a party... a big THANK YOU to our waitress RONJA See you soon and I would always come back to eat with you.

It's not Vienna, but I'm starting to feel like I need to lower my expectations a bit when it comes to home cooking in Nuremberg and the surrounding area. The restaurant seems to be a little more than just a restaurant, it is also a center of German-Polish cultural exchange, which is also why there are many Polish dishes on the menu. Wiener Schnitzel soft and large but a bit too dark, already wet in the middle. Fries a bit too few. Many housewives of the former monarchy would have done better. Bigos is a matter of taste, the Slovakian Kapustnica, which is a soup with identical ingredients, is better. If you have bigos, then please include pork and bacon too, not just sausages. But my mistake, I knew what I was getting and ordered it anyway. Salads were huge portions. Correct place. Unfortunately no soup on the menu. A pity.

Dedicated and nice staff. Unfortunately, Schäuferle was out, according to the waiter, Obadzder had caraway (but several of the people sitting next to us had it without), and the sausage salad was mediocre. Prices are rather high, especially for the drinks.

Bei wiederkehrendem Starkregen einen Tisch im Biergarten ohne Regenschutz zuzuweisen ist schon frech. Wenn es ins Bier regnet ist es schon ärgerlich, aber auf Speisen ist einfach nur dreist. Argument: "wir sind halt ein Biergarten"... unglaublich.

The most beautiful beer garden in Nuremberg

One of the particularly beautiful beer gardens in Nuremberg with its very own ambience! The cuisine is excellent, the service is always friendly and attentive, the prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. We had made a reservation for our visit (highly recommended as it is always very well booked), the journey is suitable for almost any means of transport (bicycle parking, subway and tram stops a short distance away, and there is a nearby parking garage for drivers). The menus (winter and summer) can be viewed online... Addendum from June 12, 2024: Once again a particularly pleasant stay in the beer garden, very attentive and friendly staff, great food and of course the drinks always taste great...😀

A beer garden in a special place - high on the old town wall. From a culinary point of view, there is both classic beer garden food and Polish delicacies. I can only warmly recommend the pierogies. In addition, the staff is really friendly and you immediately feel very comfortable. An activity opportunity for the little ones would be the icing on the cake.

The restaurant is beautifully located on the city wall. We sat in the battlement and in the evening we could enjoy the sun from the sunset there. That was really nice. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive - but not intrusive. We ate schnitzel with fries and had a salad with it. The salad was well portioned for a side salad and the dressing was tasty. The schnitzel is super good there. I have rarely eaten such a good and large schnitzel. For the amount of schnitzel you get, the price is very fair. You should definitely make a reservation.

Wonderful beer garden with very friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. We were served very quickly and drinks and food came very quickly. As good eaters, we found the portions extremely large and couldn't finish everything. But otherwise it was super good and we went home very satisfied.

Finally got here on my third attempt and it didn't disappoint! Food is phenomenal (the gravy with the roast pork is an absolute poem) - beers are also excellent. Pricing is very, very good for Nürnberg city centre and service was prompt and friendly. A true hidden gem!

The food was nothing special, the service was a disaster. I had dumplings filled with minced meat this week. They were extremely dry. The salad I had with it was sandy. I constantly had sand in my mouth, so I didn't eat the salad anymore. We wanted to add salt to our food and we got it We don't like the fact that other dishes taste good, but I personally had a disappointment. Everyone has to decide for themselves whether they want to eat there or not.

The schnitzel here is absolutely huge! It's the size of the entire plate, so much so that the side of potatoes that came with it sat under the schnitzel itself. Everything was delicious and had great flavor. The chicken in the white wine cream sauce was so tender and juicy it practically melted in your mouth. This restaurant is on the top floor of the tower that it sits in. And you can either sit and enjoy the biergarten, or you can sit indoors where the tables cross the bridge and ramparts. Strongly recommend going for a non touristy, off the beaten path destination.

This is some of the best food for the price that we had in all of Germany. It is polish food, so it will be slightly different than the German locations. The schnitzel is a must try! Our waitress was very busy and still did a great job of helping us out. The beers are, of course, great and the dessert was great. This should be on your list to have while in Nuremberg.

We had visited Nuremberg and wanted to end the day in a beer garden. It's great that we ended up here. We didn't have a reservation, but the friendly staff gave us a table. Fresh draft beer, including from several local breweries, was served quickly. The service was very friendly and positive - you could feel a good working atmosphere. The food was also great. Fresh salad with goat cheese and Franconian roast pork with dumpling - very tasty. Thank you, keep it up - we'll definitely come by again...!

I can recommend it. Very nice castle atmosphere. It's just a bit confusing to find, as it doesn't say "Restaurant Kopernikus" anywhere. It just says “Kraków Tower” everywhere Other than that, the food was delicious, the portions were generous and the price was reasonable. It's a bit noisy, but that's how it is in a beer garden. Dogs are allowed and are even provided a bowl of water.
