We got married on September 5th and chose the Jürgenshof after the ceremony. We were absolutely thrilled. We were given the hayloft as our venue, which was beautifully decorated for us. We had peace and quiet there, and were able to enjoy our meal with family and friends without being disturbed. There was also a wonderful champagne reception. The staff was fantastic, the food was absolutely amazing, and all around, we had a wonderful day. We highly recommend the Jürgenshof to everyone. I ate at the Jürgenshof Restaurant/Café and was truly impressed. The fried plaice with cucumber salad was a particular delight – perfectly prepared, beautifully presented, and simply delicious. You can tell that great importance is placed on quality and presentation here. The atmosphere also impressed me: a very beautiful location with a cozy atmosphere where you immediately feel welcome. The friendly and attentive staff completes the positive impression. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable visit – everything really fits perfectly here. I would definitely be happy to come back and can highly recommend the Jürgenshof.

A beautifully located restaurant. Parking is usually plentiful, unless it's very busy. The food was excellent, truly. A real treat. There was absolutely nothing to complain about. The service was also super friendly and attentive, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Prices are on the higher end, but it's definitely worth every euro. We will definitely be back and can recommend this restaurant without hesitation.

We were invited here by friends from Bremen. We really liked the food, the atmosphere and the service! The presentation is like in a real high-class restaurant, the presentation of dishes, the service, the attitude of the waiters is simply impeccable! We were there on Friday, which is traditionally a fish day, so first of all we ate fish dishes. In general, as we were told, all the dishes in this restaurant are very traditional dishes of Bremen farmers and fishermen. The smoked eel was 10/10!!! Above all praise!!! Be sure to try it. It was an amazing evening!

We were there with eight people for an early dinner. As always, we had very attentive service. The dishes we ordered were delicious and the portions were quite large.

It was a very nice company/farewell party on a balmy summer evening! Right in the heart of Bremen, surrounded by nature. On the one hand, the food was truly delicious (beef fillet), but on the other hand, the "summer vegetables" in the bowl included frozen carrots, which were truly not tasty. The service was very attentive, prompt, friendly, and professional throughout the evening. Thank you for that! The only thing I wished we'd been able to empty our glasses in peace at the end of the evening, instead of being reminded that the dishwasher would take half an hour to run. It's definitely time to call it a day, but instead of offering a paper cup, perhaps we could have agreed to collect the glasses and put them away safely...

We were at the Jürgenshof on Saturday for a small family celebration and were completely satisfied. Even beforehand, everything was very straightforward. We received excellent advice on the menu selection. We immediately felt like we were in good hands. On the day of the event, everything went as promised. The setting was nice, the food was really good, the service was attentive but unobtrusive, and the ambiance inside and outside was lovely. Both our anniversary guest and the guests felt very comfortable and were pleasantly impressed. Many thanks to the Jürgenshof team!

We ate here because I told my colleague I was in the mood for asparagus today. When we arrived, we immediately noticed that it was an upscale clientele that dined there. When we walked in, I immediately noticed how the waiter was scrutinizing us for our appearance (we were both wearing jeans, I was wearing a t-shirt, and my colleague even had a shirt). When the waiter came over and we asked if he had a table, he replied, "Actually, not," in a short, unfriendly tone. When I pointed out that that was the wrong answer, he went off and looked for a table. He came back with the statement, "We still have a shabby table available." After that statement, we should have turned around and left. However, we walked in and got very, very good food, and the price was commensurate. All in all, I only found the experience unpleasant because of the extremely unfriendly waiter. The food was 10/10, and the lady who served us was also 10/10. The waiter at reception was awful—0/10.

An ambivalent experience. Our reservation was confirmed via email, but it still didn't make it onto the restaurant's reservation list. The food was neither good nor refined enough to warrant more than three stars. The service was strained, but not confident, and despite the effort, came across as unfriendly and unfriendly. Our steak was mediocre at best. In the strawberry and asparagus salad, neither the strawberries nor the asparagus were significant because they used far too much balsamic vinegar. Generally, the quality of the ingredients was not convincing (the tomatoes and strawberries lacked flavor, and the asparagus was rather thin). We're happy to pay a little more for good food, but the prices were excessive for the quality offered. The staff seemed unfocused, especially inflexible and hectic. Only the ambiance was largely convincing. In our case, the average rating of 4.5 stars, which was the deciding factor for our visit, was ultimately irritating. A shame.

Honestly, it’s the best restaurant I’ve visited in Bremen so far. If you’re looking for a place to celebrate a special moment or enjoy an unforgettable evening, I can’t recommend it highly enough.

We were in the restaurant in the evening and we were very satisfied. Our meal was excellent. Our service was also very good. We had a lovely evening. I particularly recommend the plaice Finkenwerder style. I really liked the atmosphere. The view is so beautiful.

I can fully praise the Jürgenshof. Both the food, the ambience and the service deserve a top rating. The prices are okay.

Three people were in the restaurant on April 19th. As always, the food was artisanal and of very high quality. The service was again very attentive, competent and extremely friendly. Luckily, we had already finished eating when guests with a dog sat down at the next table, and the smell was so pungent that we had to go out onto the terrace to finish our drinks. By the way: There is a sign on the entrance door indicating that you should ask the waitress whether dogs are allowed into the restaurant. In my opinion, this sign should be replaced by a prohibition sign.

The Jürgrnshof is beautifully located in the Pauliner Marsh. Good North German cuisine is offered and you can choose whatever you want, everything is of excellent quality and taste. The staff is very attentive. We will definitely eat here often again.

We celebrated our wedding 32 years ago and my husband's 60th birthday on Saturday in the hayloft. The food and service were of exceptionally good quality then and now. The guest is always the focus here. I would celebrate here again and again. Thanks to the entire team

Unreserved praise for this restaurant

I was on the sun terrace of the Jürgenshof with my mother from Australia in August last year. My spoiled mother was really impressed by the halibut carpaccio and the good fish dish. I liked the very, very friendly waitress. I thought it was great that she treated us so personally. It was a wonderful evening to celebrate reuniting with my mother after 9 years. Thank you to the Jürgenshof.

Very tasty in a nice atmosphere

For the price of 34 (35?) euros there was game meat ragout. But the game meat tasted like beef. And the vegetables were more like 50 cent penny goods. The dumplings were great. And the dessert was ok. Overall, however, you can eat here and the toilets are very nice and well maintained.

How can you still not offer oat milk for coffee in 2024?

First of all, the prices: you can get a cheap dish for around 20 EUR, an expensive one for around 40 and the average is around 30 EUR. These are rather high prices compared to the rest of Bremen. That's okay, of course, as long as it's better than elsewhere. First of all: That's not it. Per: - cozy, rustic country house style furnishings - nice location near the Weser, so you can easily walk there - nice service - While we waited there was warm, soft baguette with delicious parsley pesto and butter. This was very good and far better than the main courses described below. Con: - We had to wait quite a long time. Our food was on the table about 45 minutes after arrival. - There are things like 0.2 liters of cola for EUR 3.90 on the menu. I hate 0.2L drinks and there are no other sizes for soft drinks. That's actually not nice at all, because no one in the world will be happy with 0.2 liters of liquid, especially if you have to wait as long as we do. So should I pay 11.70 for 0.6 liters of cola? Absolutely no way! - I had Knipp for the first time, which was very greasy. The fried potatoes were pretty unseasoned and were also swimming in fat. Since it was the first (and last) time that I ate Knipp, I can't say whether Knipp might not have to be like that. But the fried potatoes just weren't good: the first time in years that I didn't finish my restaurant food even though I was hungry. - My companion's gnocchi in mushroom cream were homemade and solid, quite tasty but nothing special. And then just too expensive for the price. Conclusion: High price, average food doesn't give me 4 stars. You can go here, but you really don't have to.

We had to wait a long time for the duck, and when it finally came, it was unfortunately very tough.

Great experience in this traditional restaurant. Probably the best you can find in this part of Bremen, facing the Weser River. Great atmosphere, excellent service and delicious food. There are vegan and vegetarian options. Worth a visit at any time of year. In the summer, outside, it must be even more pleasant. We will definitely be back.

Really great restaurant with high prices, but very great service and ambience. The restaurant staff are real professionals and take care of the guests and are always friendly and helpful. Even though it is very busy at Christmas, we never had to wait long. The service staff were very friendly and accommodating! The atmosphere was very pleasant and cozy. I recommend everyone to visit the Jürgenshof, it is very worth it. Thanks to all employees who made the day even better :)

Unfortunately the wine prices are far too expensive

Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff. The food was very tasty, especially the roasted goose. Inside there is a fireplace that gives the place a homey atmosphere. You can also bring dogs, which is a big plus. This place is great for family reunions. The Weser River flows nearby and there is also a stadium where you can take a walk after visiting the restaurant.

Yesterday we had our Christmas party at the Jürgenshof. The food, the ambience and especially the service of the house were great - we all felt very comfortable and will definitely come back! Thank you very much again :-)

Unfortunately there was alcohol in almost every meal. Terrible. I had to take a bite out of necessity. Fried potatoes absolutely fatty and not crispy. Waited a long time for the food, not really warm. Waiter was arrogant and not polite to us.

Fish soup was okay. Main course lamb shank. Unfortunately dry. Bottle of water €8.90 Service attentive and friendly.

Always good! However, it also has its price. A few main courses between 20-30 euros and the rest is about that. But why soft drinks are only offered in 0.2 liters on the menu - e.g. Cola, but not larger ones (that's just enough to moisten your mouth) is a mystery to me. And a 0.2 like that costs over €3. A spritzer isn't even on the menu, but there is... That's why a star deduction.

A wonderful but expensive restaurant. However, it's worth it, with a wonderful atmosphere and flawless service. There are many options for birthdays and other celebrations, from private rooms for ~60 people and individual, separate tables, all of which are the best you can get in the area. Perfect for all ages.
