The Kohlfahrt is a single mass event. It was so crowded that you couldn't even get to the dance floor.

Best place for a cabbage tour. Especially with DJ Toddy

Kohltour review from 03/15/25 For us it was the first (and last??) cabbage tour at Grothenns. Starting with the wardrobe, it was of course foreseeable that at €75 an additional charge would be necessary. Unfortunately, when we ate the meatballs in the wedding soup were very thin and no more were added. The cauliflower was simply left in one piece for simplicity. The main course was OK but didn't motivate anyone to order again. Overall, it's all a minor matter. So when the actual party slowly got rolling, you quickly noticed that there were too many people for the location/dance floor. Most of the time the DJ just stood on stage and shouted incomprehensible stuff to drown out the songs at inopportune moments. I think if you play Greek Wine, Highway to Hell and Yeah by Usher in 5 songs, everything has been said about the quality of the DJ. Overall, unfortunately, a very average and partly negative experience, which is even more serious than usual given the PRICE. In terms of quality, €50 (including wardrobe) would probably have been fair.

We were here for a cabbage tour. This is of course a different situation than regular operations. The atmosphere was nice, the service was really great. Despite many guests, very attentive, quick and in a good mood. The vegetarian food was a disgrace for the price. Lukewarm frozen vegetables, without salt or similar, which appeared to have just been thawed on the heater. Plus a soggy patty that could definitely have gotten more out of it. Attached croquettes, which were again tasty and sufficient...

We had a cabbage trip and can highly recommend the place. The food was plentiful, nothing was missing and the service was top notch, the glasses were never empty 😃

Cabbage Tour 2025. Mixed bunch of people but really nice.

We were here for the cabbage drive and it was packed. As always, DJ Toddy created a great atmosphere. This time there were different types of ice cream that you could take out of the freezer yourself. Once again a successful event.

I was on the cabbage tour on Friday and I was disappointed. The handcart was handed over without any problems and we were then assigned to a table at the front of the reception. We took a seat, it was busy so we waited a little longer for our service so we could get our drinks. Nothing happened for a long time until the soup with meat was served without asking whether anyone was vegan and so far without any drinks. The waitress then came to take the drinks, without a greeting, without a smile and only passive aggressively asked about our order after she couldn't understand us acoustically. The drinks came quite quickly, as did our vegan alternatives to the soup. This was followed by the main course, which I asked about by email weeks before the cabbage trip because I couldn't imagine anything as a "vegan alternative meal", but I didn't get an answer. The main course was cold and very bland, the vegan schnitzel was soggy and the vegetables had no taste whatsoever. The other alternative meal, which was described as “schnitzel”, was an unbreaded piece of chicken with frozen vegetables and croquettes, also cold of course. Drinks were no longer requested, so we ordered at the bar. very nice and fast bar staff. The strange thing so far, however, is that someone in our group ordered a red wine and then received a cola in a wine glass. The mood was pretty good until DJ Toddy Rammstein played, which was simply inappropriate and a sign for us to leave. Unfortunately I have to advise against a cabbage trip in Grothenns. Our cabbage tour group consisted exclusively of restaurateurs who themselves work at cabbage parties in other restaurants. Afterwards we went to another place to eat, which seemed pretty grotesque for the price of €72.

Were here on a busy tour with work. It tasted great, from wedding soup to kale! Staff have always been friendly💪🏻 Unfortunately there were only 3 flavors of ice cream available. But when they were all gone and I was desperate, Vanesse came and brought some more ice cream! Best service ever!

Good Morning, We went to the cabbage trip on February 22, 2025 with the group of Daimler colleagues. I haven't been to Grothenns in 20 years. Everything was like a proper cabbage trip should be. When you arrive in front of the restaurant there is an exuberant, happy atmosphere that you need in these dark times. Friendly welcome and off to the set table. Excellent hospitality and a high quality, tasty cabbage meal was served. My colleagues and I enjoyed the cabbage celebration to the fullest. Special thanks to Silvia for our table service. Cabbage tour on a Saturday: how can you squeeze so many people into the building? Just seems like a money-making scheme. The corridors are all too narrow and the area is clearly too small for the number of people. Reduce people by a third and it's fun! Of course, the ban on glasses in the area is not adhered to with so many drunk people. Everything is full of broken pieces and unfortunately cannot be removed. However, the staff was super friendly and the food was delicious. Update from a second cabbage tour (which took place on a Friday): It was noticeably emptier. The additional rooms were not occupied. So overall it was much more relaxed. There was space on the dance floor and the broken pieces were removed immediately. Always like this please!

Been here for a long time today. I was greeted in a very friendly manner by the boss and we had a beautifully set table! The food was incredibly delicious. We always enjoy coming back. Big praise to the team, who always provided us with delicious drinks and were always in a good mood. It should also be emphasized that the inn was very well heated even in winter. You feel very comfortable here.

We were at the family cabbage trip in Grothenns. The service was great and the staff was friendly, although a smile from the staff would have been nice, but that is of course not a prerequisite for a successful afternoon. The cabbage was very tasty and “schlonzig”, that’s how cabbage should taste. The pee and cooked sausage was also very tasty and the smoked pork was tender, although it was obviously salmon smoked pork. For dessert there was ice cream from a waffle and red jelly with vanilla sauce. Additionally also Nuremberg sausages, fried potatoes, vegan schnitzels, chicken schnitzels, chicken nuggets (made from chicken breast fillet), etc. Overall the food was tasty and of good quality. The highlight of the day was YOU Toddy, as he spread a great atmosphere and motivated young and old to dance, play and join in.  The music ranged between Ballermann hits and mood songs, which is exactly what a good cabbage trip entails. Ultimately it was a great afternoon and we would also like to take part in the “adult kohfahrt” at Grothenns next year, if DJ Toddy is responsible for the entertainment. Overall, I can't understand some of the negative criticism here. I have organized or taken part in many cabbage drives and the cabbage drives in Grothenns are without a doubt among the best. In my opinion, the criticism of the music is also not correct. What should be played on a good cabbage trip? Spanish folklore, French chanson, Berlin ghetto rap...?

We were there for the cabbage party. I had an alternative meal to the cabbage, which unfortunately I wasn't enthusiastic about. Two small schnitzels on croquettes with a vegetable mixture under hollandaise sauce. Of course, with the masses of people who show up to eat coal, you can't expect everything to run smoothly. The cabbage and everything that went with it came to the table quickly and in abundance. And was well refilled. When asked, my alternative came 15 minutes after the cabbage arrived. Unfortunately the schnitzels are not crispy, nor are the croquettes. Unfortunately, the vegetables were more than al dente. Since the mushy schnitzel and the soft croquettes didn't give me a pleasant mouthfeel, a large portion was returned. I tried a forkful of the cabbage, which was well seasoned and therefore tasty. It's a shame that there wasn't much dancing because of the overcrowding of people. The staff was friendly and the toilet was clean. I mean with 200 fewer people we would have had more fun. But that is my subjective opinion as a driver that evening. You probably think it's nicer when you're drunk.

Kohlfahrt 2025 - great atmosphere, great team, cabbage was delicious 😋

Our cabbage party yesterday started well. Food was okay, service was good. Then DJ Björn came and it became terrible. You don't need a self-absorbed cheerleader who stops a lot of songs in the middle. The traditional opening song of the newly crowned Kohl couple was missing and the music had little to do with the Kohlparty. Overall it was far too crowded and going to the toilet was an obstacle course. The seating was too narrow and we ate like we were on a plane. I don't want to go partying there anymore.

It's about a cabbage drive event! 77€ (including wardrobe) was a bad investment! I wouldn't have needed a DJ who didn't finish a song, repeated songs up to 3 times and created a 100% Ballermann atmosphere! The traditional cabbage trip opening with the dance of the new cabbage kings/queens was also ignored. Maybe it was lost in the deafening volume. The audience was predominantly between 18-28. Glasses were taken to the dance floor and no one cared. The food was extremely fatty. Cutting a cooked sausage that was splattering with fat with blunt knives was a challenge! This restaurant won't earn twice as much from me. The one star was for the service. Everyone was very friendly and attentive until 8 p.m. After that it was hardly possible to get through to the tables. Too bad!

Did a cabbage trip there yesterday. The food was quite good. Terrible, absolutely terrible, these crowds of people - this is not a cabbage trip, this is mass processing and far too expensive for that!!! DJ belongs on the Balleman to Malle, but not on a cabbage trip.

Were here for the cabbage trip and we really enjoyed it. The room is extremely spacious, the staff is super friendly and helpful, and the breakfast left nothing to be desired. The event itself also completely convinced us. All drinks included in the price, food was great and plentiful. The music was great and the atmosphere was very good throughout. We'd love to come back next year 👍🏻

Tradition or not, there's a trarrah here every weekend, loud music until late into the night, now all over again, every Friday/Saturday/Sunday these boozy cabbage parties, loud and now really annoying! Just assi! Then shouting until late into the night, conflicts taking place on the side streets, and just pointless drinking. Unbelievable. Just have to get out. It's just annoying. The marsh paths are littered with bottles and other rubbish on the property, you can see where the majority of society is, even though the last four years have actually invited people to wake up! What's wrong with you at the hat stand?! Nothing. We just carry on, regardless. We know that Grothenns probably has nothing to do with it.

We were there for the cabbage drive, the music was absolutely fine and the food was delicious. But the staff wasn't enough, especially at the bars. It was way, way, way too crowded. Unfortunately, you hear it exactly the same way from every person who has ever been to an event.

The best address for companies or large celebrations

Established, long-established inn in Bremen. Good quality, fast and friendly service and the atmosphere is also good. Recommendation to anyone who wants to eat well during the week or at the weekend.

72 euros for the kale tour is not justified, the kale and also the alternative food are of poor quality. Well, most of those who arrive there are drunk anyway and don't care what it tastes like. The ice cream from the chest that expired in October was not optimal. A bit of quality would be nice. And what was a real shame was no fried potatoes. Positively the DJ was awesome. Toilets clean. Staff nice.

Nice atmosphere, we'd love to come back.

My best friend and I celebrated our 30th birthday in the Grothenns winter garden. There were on-site appointments, phone calls and emails to plan the event. The co-owner Mr. B. was very nice, friendly and helpful. He showed us the rooms and listed and offered us various options. We decided on a drinks package and a buffet that we put together ourselves. The drinks and food were simply delicious and we were asked about the great location and the food after the celebration. Not wasting any food is super important to us and so we were even able to pack up the leftovers and distribute them, which was really great. The service consisted of two people and they both really did a great job throughout the evening, thank you very much. The prices per person were more than reasonable and justified and we simply had a wonderful evening. We would celebrate here again and again. A small point of criticism: it is sometimes very difficult to reach us by telephone and so communication did not always go smoothly and was sometimes stressful. Maybe we could work on it again ;).

Danger! Although there is a wheelchair sign on maps and Grothenns claims it is wheelchair accessible, it is only partially so. Despite our request, our table can only be reached via one step. There is also no ramp.

I celebrated my birthday there in a small group. We had a very attractively decorated room for ourselves. The service staff were very attentive and the food came to the table for everyone at the same time. It was delicious!

What a dream location! This year we had the pleasure of photographing Saskia & Marcel's wedding and were absolutely overwhelmed by this location: beautiful, natural light, spacious rooms, an inviting outdoor area and incredibly delicious food! The atmosphere was simply perfect for unforgettable photos and an all-round successful celebration. The on-site support was also first-class, with a team that warmly looked after us and the guests. What more could you want? An absolute recommendation for anyone looking for a great wedding location!

We had one of the few summer days and sat very nicely at the back in the garden, the food was delicious as usual, someone else had the antipasti plate and I was almost a little jealous of how delicious it looked, but my fish also tasted very good

The food was too classic for us and the portions were very large, so we couldn't finish it.

Had our prom there. It was very nice. The staff was very professional and on the ball. Unfortunately there were few vegetarian dishes and nothing vegan.

Good old country inn! Decent portions, expert service and fair prices. We had asparagus with schnitzel and potatoes. A little dream. I only know the inn from events like cabbage drives or weddings. You can also go there very well.

Almost everything is very nice here. Actually I should deduct a star. Food was good Staff in the restaurant were very nice and friendly The cloakroom couldn't explain why you weren't allowed to put your jacket in your backpack. But if you have two you have to put one in. Ambience is really successful.

Kohltour was a disaster... The food was great, but our evening was ruined by security. If you can't work in a de-escalatory manner and prefer to hit things instead of acting sensibly, you shouldn't act as a "watchdog" on site. We were a peaceful group and it was an early exit. Paying so much money for that was really abysmal!! Not worth a second time for me!!!!!

Nice staff, fast service and overall a successful kale meal with the company. Reasonably priced but by no means good! Unfortunately the food was rather mediocre. The alternative for the vegetarians among us was particularly disappointing. However, after-dinner entertainment is well provided! It resembles a private discotheque in the evenings due to the presence of a dance floor with its own DJ.

We were there with 7 people. The food was good. I personally missed senior portions. These quantities are simply not for me anymore. My husband felt the same way. The staff was very friendly, but somehow poorly coordinated. What one recorded, the next forgot. The ambience wasn't bad, but it felt like it was pulling somewhere. Air conditioner? Window?

Wir hatten eine, wie schon häufiger, super tolle Kohlfahrt bei Grothenns. Essen , Dj Toddy, Stimmung und Service am Tisch einwandfrei. Leider hatten wir am Tag der Kohlfahrt noch eine krankheitsbedingte Absage. In der Vergangenheit hat Grothenns hier kulanterweise zumindest einen kleinen Betrag in Form eines Verzehrgutscheines erstattet. Dies sei nun aber nicht mehr möglich. Das finde ich erbärmlich.

Wir waren hier zu einer Familien Kohlfahrt und waren sehr begeistert. Super toller Service ,die Bedienung war super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen war echt lecker und vollkommen ausreichend. Auch der DJ war sehr gut und hat ordentlich Stimmung gemacht.

Die Kohlfahrt war atemberaubend! Es stimmte wirklich Alles. 1. Das Essen (Grünkohl + Kassler + Kochwurst +kartoffeln) 2. Das Trinken (All-You-Can-Drink) 3. Die Leute 4. Die Musik inkl. DJ (Dj Björn) 5. Die Stimmung Ich habe außer den Preis rein gar nichts zu bemängeln. Für trinkfeste Männer ist der Preis mehr als Brilliant! Trinkschwache können es zwar auch schaffen das Geld wieder reinzutrinken, es wird jedoch schwer. Aber auch da überwiegt der unvergessliche Abend und die 70€ lohnen sich auch, wenn man mal nichts trinken kann. Ich würde jedem raten sich selbst zu überzeugen und das tolle Gasthaus einmal zu besuchen!

Wie waren vergangenen Freitag mit der Firma als Gast bei der Kohlfahrt und es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Der Service war wirklich sehr freundlich und aufmerksam und die Stimmung war grandios! DJ ist ein Garant für gute Stimmung!
