Super unpleasant service, no German word and the waiter looks at me as if I had burned his country. There was a peach pit in Essen and I broke my tooth, it could be a curse or a gesture of dislike from the country.

Beautiful ambience through Raesfeld Castle. Unfortunately, my chosen Indian dish (Chilli Tikka) was not even remotely Indian. It lacked the typically striking spice of Tikka Masala and was unfortunately only delicately seasoned and the rice didn't have the Indian rice spices either. It's a shame, I was really looking forward to the spicy Indian food. I really expected more for the price. The dressing oil from the salad, with its own refinement, was delicious.

Delicious food for little money and freshly prepared

The castle chapel is located directly at the entrance to the Raesfeld moated castle. The restaurant offers seasonal dishes with fresh products from the region - but the Indian dishes, which are also freshly prepared, are also very tasty. Dogs are welcome and receive fresh water. The service is very friendly. Regular guests are warmly welcomed and in the evenings there is also an ouzo on the house ;)

Insanely great restaurant, everything is just right here! We received a very friendly welcome from the boss! There is fresh Veltins on tap here, the food was ready in no time and tasted excellent! The lovingly maintained toilet facilities are also worth mentioning - nice little family business, definitely recommended, always happy!

Short bike tour stopover at Raesfeld Castle. A Jägerschnitzel with fries and a salad. Unfortunately the sauce was very thin... and seemed "stretched"... And therefore tasteless... I found the owners' conversation with a very loud "acquaintance" unpleasant. . They sat at the crowded table in the corner where, among other things, there were things to set the table (clean cutlery in water glasses, napkins, etc.) but also private newspapers. I find that very unhygienic. The service was very friendly.

Unfortunately the service was completely overwhelmed. We waited 40 minutes to even be served. Then another 30 minutes until we got drinks. Unfortunately, the fries were still raw when we ate them. Absolutely not recommended!

We tried the Indian dishes. The level of spiciness can be determined individually. It was very tasty and the service is very friendly and good. A clear recommendation!

We visited today with the whole family (3 generations). The children were still very excited from the Christmas season, but that wasn't a problem for the hosts. Children's books were brought to bridge the waiting time. When the food came, there was great enthusiasm. All expectations were met, whether the big or the little guests, everyone enjoyed it. Very nice hosts, pleasant family atmosphere. A visit with the whole family is highly recommended! The atmosphere of leaving the restaurant under the full moon and seeing the illuminated castle was indescribable, that rounded off the evening.

Exactly in line with my expectations regarding the dish chosen...Perfect! One can argue about it... but as a visitor who was at least 40 years older than me, I found it a bit strange to be addressed as "you".

Very good restaurant with great staff. The food is very good, the service was attentive and extremely friendly. Finally, the boss asked if everything was okay and had time for a little chat. Recommendation if you are in Raesfeld, and within walking distance from the motorhome parking space!

People like to go there. Everything is right there

The atmosphere is very old. I also really can't recommend the food - fried potatoes are swimming in fat and fish is only the cheapest - with herring there was only sauce with potatoes, the herring was forgotten!! Very unfortunate... Next time I'll go eat in the castle again...or at Lieb & Wert - a few minutes' walk that's worth it for good food!! Here, never again!!

Waren gestern dort. Das Essen hat gut geschmeckt. Leider war die Bedienung schlecht. Man wird von weitem angerufen, ob man nur trinken oder auch etwas essen möchte. Etwas mehr Freundlichkeit hätte auch niemandem geschadet. Schade eigentlich

Sehr leckeres Holzfäller-Schnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln! Aber auch das Lamm-Tikka war exzellent.

Chicken Tikka Massala, absolut lecker. Ich bin begeistert. Von unser Radtour hier Rast gemacht und super lecker zu essen bekommen. Die Location am Wasserschloss ist natürlich ein Hit. Sehr schön, sehr idyllisch. In direkter Nachbarschaft gibt es gleich mehrere, interessante Restaurants mit Biergarten, so das es hier insgesamt, ein schönes Ziel für einen Ausflug darstellt.

Während der Corona Pandemie waren wir oft an der "Bude" draussen essen, wo es leckere Pommes und Currywurst gab. Aber auch drinnen haben wir leckere indische Gerichte gegessen.

Super leckeres Chicken Vindaloo, papadam mit leckeren Dips. Kleine indische Karte, aber auch gute regionale Gerichte. Familiär geführt. Nett. Immer wieder gerne.

Sehr schöner Biergarten im Hof des Wasserschlosses Raesfeld. Sehr zuvorkommende Bedienung, gutes Essen zu fairen Preisen.

Wir haben 'Lamm Ticca Mala' gegessen. Guter Geschmack aber mit leider wenig indischer Würze Keine Getränkekarte...🤔

Wir haben mittags spontan für abends reserviert und uns dann vor Ort für die indische Küche entschieden. Das Essen war fantastisch, herzliche Bedienung durch die Inhaber und dazu die wunderschöne Aussicht direkt am Schloss...wir kommen 100%ig wieder👍

Die beste Currywurst die ich seit ewig gegessen habe. Super freundliche Gastgeber.

Leckerer Grünkohleintopf zum mitnehmen. Auch andere Gerichte to go stehen zur Auswahl. Komme gerne in der nächsten Mittagspause wieder.

Freundlich - das Essen war meiner Meinung nach leider nicht so doll

Alles gut, Essen und Service. Wir sind hier immer zufrieden.

War gut besucht, mussten sogar warten bis ein Tisch frei wurde (Donnerstags). Essen war ok und reichlich. Leider waren die Bratkartoffeln, schön dunkelbraun gebraten und aus frischen Kartoffeln noch ein wenig zu knackig, d.h. die hätten noch etwas mehr gegart werden können. Wurde zwar bedauernd zur Kenntnis genommen, aber nicht irgendwie kompensiert. Schade, ein kleiner Preisnachlass oder n Käffchen o.ä. wäre super gewesen. Kartenzahlung war nur innen im Restaurant möglich.
