We ate there with 6 people. The staff is super friendly, courteous and serious at the same time. The food itself was on point. Delicious meat, exciting side dishes and top-class culinary sauces. The price of the restaurant is of course not cheap, but for good food, great staff and a unique ambience in a castle, the money is very well spent. For me the restaurant is an absolute recommendation.

A candlelight dinner deluxe booked through Jochen Schweizer. The food was lovingly prepared in every detail. It tasted great and apart from that the service was exemplary attentive. Upon request, our 5 courses were served slowly, after which we stayed here for a total of over 4 hours. That's exactly what I found good. In many restaurants you are quickly "eaten up" but here we were able to simply enjoy the peace and serenity. The farewell was just as warm as the reception, so you leave the restaurant with a positive feeling. Many thanks to the great team. Keep doing exactly that. 🙂

We had a great event with you today from the Kirchhellen Auto Shop. The food was great and the service was great. I can really recommend you. We had really good meat that was cooked to perfection. I don't understand why this restaurant doesn't have Michelin stars. The quality of the food, the presentation of the dishes and the service are at an exceptionally high level. Every visit is an experience that is designed with great attention to detail. Considering the criteria that determine a Michelin star - such as innovation, consistency and the overall experience - this restaurant seems to tick all the boxes. It's really surprising that it hasn't won any awards yet.

It should be possible to award even more stars as a rule!! We were there on Boxing Day and were very impressed with the service, ambience and food. Since our daughter wasn't with us, we'd love to come back! 🤩

We discovered 'Mahl und Meute' through friends around 4 years ago. I have never eaten as well as I did here. On the one hand, the steaks are of the very best quality and prepared to perfection and on the other hand, the side dishes such as the celery white chocolate cream are an absolute culinary delight. The staff is extremely friendly and always makes you feel valued and is also professional when it comes to advice on meat, side dishes and drinks.

A beautiful restaurant, great atmosphere, service very attentive and friendly, the food, especially the steak, was the finest, it couldn't be better! Prices are absolutely fine for this restaurant, you'll be happy to come back! All the side dishes were also fascinating, simply delicious 😋

Every ingredient seems to have been carefully chosen and harmonizes perfectly with the others. The balance between traditional cuisine and modern accents is particularly impressive - it's not just cooking here, it's putting art on the plate. No matter whether it's a starter, main course or dessert, every dish impresses with a quality that is rarely found. The location itself is equally impressive. The restaurant exudes a stylish elegance that does not seem exaggerated. The interior design is tasteful and emphasizes the historical setting without sacrificing contemporary comfort. The service was friendly and accommodating, but seemed a bit uncoordinated in some places. A little more attention here could improve the overall experience even further. Nevertheless, you always felt well looked after and welcome. The ambience around the castle is undoubtedly another highlight. The picturesque surroundings invite you to take a walk before or after your meal and make the visit an overall experience that goes far beyond a normal restaurant. Overall, Mahl & Meute is a place that delights gourmets and lovers of special settings alike. Anyone looking for exquisite food, a unique ambience and an impressive location will not be disappointed here. An absolute must for connoisseurs – and for everyone who is looking for something special.

Very tasty, very friendly service. However, I don't understand why people use so many broken dishes with such high quality food and high prices. Some plates had several chipped spots, as did cups. A wooden plate was even missing a large corner. Incomprehensible to me.

The tasting offered an impressive selection: from sloe gin to classic dry gin to local specialties. Each variety was expertly presented and explained with a lot of knowledge, humor and passion. It was immediately apparent that the host was an absolute professional and wanted to offer his guests an exceptional experience. Nothing was left to be desired: from the individual advice to the perfect selection of drinks, everything was just right. Mahl und Meute has really created an experience that is second to none. Anyone looking for an exceptional gin tasting in Münsterland should definitely come to Raesfeld Castle - we give it 11 out of 10 points without a doubt!

We ate there for the second time today and can absolutely recommend the place. We were there on Wednesday, where there was basically a surprise menu. The starters were very good, the main course was very tasty, the steaks were fried to perfection, the chicken was juicy. Thanks to Nils, with whom we had a lot of contact :-) we recommend you.

Great location with super delicious food. We had the 5 course candle light dinner menu and all courses including intermediate courses were delicious. We were even able to have something packed afterwards because it was very rich. Absolutely recommended..Staff also super nice and attentive..the trip from Bochum to Raesfeld was totally worth it. Very elegant atmosphere in Raesfeld Castle, excellent food. The view from the terrace of the moat and park creates a holiday feeling. Romantic atmosphere, large selection of wine, with chic decoration, candles on the table. The food came quickly and was very well presented, with an explanation of exactly what it was. The side dishes are very unusual and taste fantastic. Portions are huge. The service was very competent, friendly, attentive. All in all, a very nice evening at a more than reasonable price, the quality, the location and the overall picture are definitely justified.

We were there today for the wine tasting. The event was actually supposed to be canceled because too few participants were registered. However, the appointment was not canceled and we even received two 3-course menus for the price of one. The service was very friendly and competent! The castle itself is a fairytale setting that made our wedding a true dream. The high quality food is also particularly noteworthy. This restaurant is an absolute asset to the entire region. For us it is always worth taking the 40 minute journey because we are more than rewarded there. Our whole family (including passionate gourmets (also for wine and meat), as well as vegans and children) are made super happy here. The entire ambience is beautiful inside and out. On top of that, the service is extremely pleasant and open to extras and special requests. We would definitely love to come back and are looking forward to it! 💛

We went to the Meatweek event. This always takes place on Wednesdays. For a flat rate you get a three-course meal. It is really recommended. Everything is consistent. The ambience, the dishes and the service. Everything is very upscale but still seems sociable and normal. Great for getting to know each other as you get a selection from the menu. The concept of serving everything at the table and everyone taking what they want is also special. This immediately creates sociability. As for the food, it was wonderful and just right in quantity. You can tell that professionals were at work here. Service couldn't be better. You can tell that experienced professionals work here too. This is particularly noticeable in the details and the way it is served. Ambiance very upscale with a mixture of the old castle and modernity.

From the starter to the dessert it is simply delicious. The wine recommendation also hit the palate perfectly. The team is very courteous and attentive... Dit restaurant zit in het kasteel zelf. Smaakvolle inrichting. Erg vriendelijk personeel. Je kiest hier een stuk vlees (of 1 vd 2 vega opties) met daarbij een vast aantal bijgerechten en saus. Het is best prijzig maar het vlees is super mals en heerlijk van smaak en de bijgerechten zijn erg grote porties. Leuk dat de bijgerechten niet allerdaags zijn. Een aanrader voor de vleesliefhebber.

The food was excellent - every bite was a delight. For me, the “love” for the product and the corresponding preparation was noticeable. It wasn't the last time I was there. I do not know where to start. The food (meal) there is simply top class. Of course we had steak. The steak was simply great. Buttery soft and TOP in taste. It was to the point. The side dishes that we requested were also very well seasoned and wholesome. The sauces were TOP. Not too spicy and goes well with the steak. The dessert was something to behold. Simply beautifully arranged and almost too good to eat. Well, what can I say... it tasted good too. Everything was very well prepared and of the finest quality. The ambience was excellent. Just as you imagine it would be in a castle. No, it was even better. And the service, just great. Everyone was very, very friendly and accommodating. I especially have to highlight the lady who collected money from us. Very nice and friendly. It was a completely successful evening. If you want exceptionally tasty and good service, you should go there. I would say it was A1.

Mit Freunden waren wir zum ersten Mal hier. Es empfing uns eine schöne Atmosphäre und sehr freundliches Personal. Nachdem uns das Konzept erläutert wurde, hat sich jeder für sein Hauptgericht entschieden und dazu das Tischlein deck dich. Exzellentes Fleisch auf den Punkt gebracht und tolle Beilagen, die uns allen geschmeckt haben. Auch wenn das Preisniveau hoch ist, bekommt man dafür halt beste Qualität. Alles top und nur zu empfehlen. Wir werden wieder mal hierher kommen. Danke ans Team

The food was good, but overall there was “room for improvement” for the now significantly increased price: 1. Top starter, fresh and well-sized salad with fresh bread and delicious chicken vitello tonato. 2. Main course with the well-known delicious side dishes. The meat was a bit disappointing though. Instead of whole sliced ​​steaks (as before), there were smaller, sometimes somewhat dry individual pieces (rump and rump as well as terriyaki chicken), as well as rather simple beef sausage, which tasted quite good, but didn't really fit the concept. 3. Dessert was ok. Bottom line: it's still worth visiting Mahl und Meute, but we'll probably eat à la carte next time.

During my last visit to the restaurant “Mahl und Meute” I was surprised by an outstanding culinary experience. The ambience of the establishment is inviting and stylish, perfect for a fine dining experience. The starter, a salmon tartare, was refreshing and artfully prepared. The combination of flavors was exquisite and perfectly prepared the palate for the main course. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the dry aged rump steak. It was fried to perfection, crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside. The whiskey cream sauce with green pepper complemented the meat perfectly and brought a pleasant spice. The baked baby potatoes were the perfect side dish, crispy and flavorful. Overall, the visit to “Mahl und Meute” was an unforgettable experience. I can recommend this steakhouse to anyone looking for quality steaks and excellent cuisine. An absolute must for meat lovers!

Außerordentlich gutes Essen preislich gehoben aber ich fand das Preis leistungs Verhältniss ok. Top Rib Eye Steak auf den Punkt gegart so wie bestellt. Auch das Konzept hat mich überzeugt. Ich werde definitiv nochmal zugast sein.

Wir sind nicht zum ersten Mal und ganz bestimmt auch nicht zum letzten Mal hier gewesen. Uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert.

Am Nikolaustag waren wir in Raesfeld und haben uns am MEATTAG verwöhnen lassen. Tolles Essen mit leckeren Soßen, die ich so noch nirgendwo gegessen habe. Dieses spezielle Angebot kann ich auf jeden Fall empfehlen.

' Top Service mit lockeren Sprüchen. - Top leckeres Essen. Super Qualität. - Gute, passende Weine Preise für die Qualität sind fair! EINFACH LECKER und unkompliziert.

Es war wirklich ein perfekter Abend. 😊 Das Essen war wahnsinnig gut, die Location sehr schön und ein sehr lieber und schlagfertiger Kellner. 👏

Volle Punktzahl für dieses Top-Restaurant ! Wir haben dort im Wintergarten gefeiert, Essen super lecker und auch für Allergiker gab es wunderbare Alternativen. Personal ausgesprochen freundlich und engagiert , Ambiente großartig- besser geht es nicht .

Wir sind lediglich zum Kaffeetrinken nach einem ausgedehnten Spaziergang in das Restaurant gegangen. Dort in der Auslage lag eine hausgemachte Salami mit Trüffel. Auf unsere Frage ob man ein Stückchen probieren könnte bekamen wir die Antwort:"Ja natürlich." So gab es dann für uns 3, frisches Brot etwas Trüffelbutter uns einige Scheiben Salami. So lecker, so freundlich, so toll! ....und fast unglaublich. Die Testration stand nicht einmal auf der Rechnung! Wir werden wieder kommen und einen schönen Abend in dem fantastischen Ambiente des Restaurants verbringen.

Wir sind immer wieder gerne Gast bei Mahl und Meute. Das Konzept ist besonders und ist perfekt, um sich durch verschiedene Beilagen zu probieren. Seit kurzem gibt es eine tolle hausgemachte Salami, so kann man sich ein Stück Mahl und Meute mit nach Hause nehmen. 😎

Wir haben letztes Wochenende den 60. Geburtstag sowie gleichzeitig den Hochzeitstag meines Vaters dort gefeiert und sind absolut Begeistert. Wir hatten dort einen Raum mit Anschluss zur Terrasse gemietet, welcher eine gemütliche Atmosphäre bot. Das Personal war super herzlich und vermittelte den Eindruck dass es sich wirklich gerne um die Anwesenden Gäste kümmert. Es wurde immer in genau den richtigen Abständen nach Getränken gefragt und sich um die Bedürfnisse der Gäste gekümmert. Nun zum Essen, es war einfach perfekt! Vom Carpaccio über Steak, Hähnchen und Lachs bis hin zur Nachspeise war es einfach ein Traum. Dieses Lokal ist einfach bedingungslos zu empfehlen! Vielen Dank für diesen schönen Abend.

Die Steaks waren von uns alle Medium bestellt, leider waren alle durch gebraten. Die Beilagen kalt und vollkommener Überteuert.

die location ist einzigartig. Das muss man sagen. Man sitzt bei gutem Wetter auf der Terrasse direkt an der Gräfte, mit Blick auf den Park und in den Sonnenuntergang. Die Art des Servierens finde ich gut. Es wird praktisch der Tisch für ein gemeinsames Essen gedeckt. Mittwochs gibt es nur ein Menü vom Grill und das hat uns nicht überzeugen können. die Beilagen waren OK. Was mit den Steaks passiert ist, bleibt mir ein Rätsel.

Wir feiern gerne immer unseren Hochzeitstag dort weil das Essen ist, für unseren Geschmack, echt dass beste. Übertroffen wird dieses nur noch von der schönen Einrichtung des Lokales und den immer freundlichen und zuvorkommenden Bedienungen. Sollte das Wetter etwas schlechter sein findet man drinnen bequeme Plätze an gemütlichen Tischen die, wie bei unserem Fall am Hochzeitstag, schnell noch feierlich eingedeckt werden. PS: Hochzeitsfeiern sind dort auch sehr beliebt. Der Preis ist akzeptabel für das Essen und die Getränke.

Exzellent - atmosphärisch und kulinarisch

Ein Totalausfall… eigentlich wollten wir im kleinen Rahmen einen Geburtstag feiern. Das Ergebnis war, dass es einen technischen defekt in der Küche, mit dem Herd gab und die Techniker nach 3 Stunden keine Lösung hatten und die Gäste hungrig nach Hause geschickt wurden. Ein technischer Ausfall kann ja mal passieren, aber dass seitens des Personals, keine „kalte Lösung“ für hungrige Gäste angeboten wurde war mehr als unprofessionell. Ein Carpaccio oder Salat… wäre immer gegangen… na ja. Es war der 2. Anlauf in diesem Lokal… beim erstem mal mäßig, gestern der Totalausfall… ergo: nie wieder

meine Frau ich waren am Mittwoch 31.05.2023 zum Meetwoch dort. Die Bedienung, das Menü und der Wein waren perfekt. Können wir nur weiter empfehlen.

Wir waren hier im Rahmen eines lokalen „Menü-Angebotes“ mit 4 Pärchen abends essen. Es gab ein 4-Gänge-Menü mit begleitenden Weinen. Das Essen war erstklassig, wir waren alle 8 wirklich angenehm überrascht. Umso mehr, da wir alle in Raesfeld wohnen und dieses Restaurant bisher noch nicht getestet hatten. Das lag sicherlich mit daran, dass das Preisgefüge den des Ortes auf den ersten Blick sprengt und eher abschreckend wirkt. Auf den zweiten Blick waren das Ambiente (modern und direkt im historischen Raesfelder Wasserschloss) sowie die Qualität der exzellenten und ausgefallenen Speisen jeden Cent wert. Und eines kann ich versichern: von Steaks habe ich wirklich Ahnung: die Eltern meiner früheren Partnerin sind Argentinier, der Vater hat in Deutschland seinerzeit die Griller für Maredo und Churrasco ausgebildet und mich in einen Steak-Junkie verwandelt ….. Der Service verdient hier seinen Namen ebenfalls, die Mitarbeiter waren bezüglich Speisen und Wein auf höchstem Niveau geschult. Uns hat es so gut gefallen, dass wir für die Zeit des Weihnachtsmarktes in Raesfeld direkt wieder einen Tisch für 8 gebucht haben !

Wir haben den „Meatwoche“ gestern besucht und sind restlos begeistert. Tolles Überraschungs-3 - Gänge Menü für einen megaguten Preis. Tolle Getränkeauswahl, alles was das Herz an Weinen und Bieren begehrt. Supernettes Personal, jeder Gang wurde ausführlich erklärt. Ambiente ist stilvoll und wundervoll, mit Aussicht auf die Natur. Perfekter Abend! Wir kommen wieder!

Sehr schönes Ambiente im Schloß Raesfeld, hervorragendes Essen. Derzeit ist Donnerstags „Mahl über den Tellerrand“, es gab statt der Karte ein 3-Gänge Menü mit mexikanischer Inspiration. Der Blick von der Terrasse auf Wassergraben und Park lässt Urlaubsfeeling aufkommen. Das Essen kam fix und sehr gut präsentiert, dazu eine Erklärung was es genau ist. Unser Sonderwunsch (glutenfrei) wurde problemlos mit kleinen Änderungen an den Gängen angenommen. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Abend zu einem mehr als angemessenen Preis.
