I received very friendly and competent advice beforehand regarding the schedule, food, and drinks. The multi-course buffet was outstanding—varied, fresh, and simply delicious. We spontaneously stopped by for the asparagus buffet and received a very friendly welcome. Even though we couldn't sit inside, we had a great spot outside and weren't overlooked once by the friendly service. The buffet was absolutely excellent value for money; the food was constantly being replenished, and there was never a shortage of anything. Super delicious, great atmosphere, and super friendly service...we'll be back!

Not recommended and a far cry from its predecessor in every respect. Here, guests are lured with incomprehensible offers in order to get as much money as possible for little service. That day, all the tables around us had the same problem, and instead of giving people a proper explanation, they just laughed maliciously at the cashier. The food was mediocre, but unfortunately too expensive. The friendliness here is also minimal. We definitely won't be back!

It's still a really nice restaurant where you can eat really well. Don't be put off by the prices; if you're looking for fries and currywurst, you've come to the wrong place. People looking for very good food, wanting to be full and expecting very pleasant service, have come to the right place. We've been there twice now with two adults and four children between the ages of 8 and 12, and the children really enjoyed their meal too. Above all, the patience and attentiveness of the staff was very nice for all of us. We recommend the Spargelhaus and will eat here again often. I only gave it 4 stars for the ambience because they need to improve some of the details, which fortunately has nothing to do with the quality of the food.

It wasn't what I expected from before. The food didn't match what I ordered (bland gravy instead of pepper sauce for €4.50), and a small extra order of Parmesan cheese was billed at €4.00. Compared to some restaurants in the area, this place was noticeably inferior.

We thought long and hard about whether to write a review. Why? We were invited to a celebration there and didn't want to offend our host. Nevertheless, we believe our experience should be published. We visited the Spargelhaus several times before the change of tenant. And we enjoyed it very much! The food is by no means up to the standard of its predecessor. We've rarely eaten so badly. Many convenience products... what does the food have to do with "freshness"? Very poor quality! For example, ready-made sauces... when the mushroom sauce was gone, we asked for more. Apparently, the ready-made package was also empty. They made do with ready-made gravy from the package and stirred in some mushrooms from a can/jar. The overcooked meat, vegetables, salad, dessert, etc.... simply unpleasant for our host. If it had been our celebration, we wouldn't have put up with it. It's not a chip shop where I have to compromise on quality from the start. Price-performance ratio is simply abysmal. It's a shame, considering my other reviews... such a negative review is extremely rare. But here, it's rightly so! The 2 stars for the food are still well-intentioned. Prices on par with a better restaurant, quality on par with a chip shop. What a shame! I hope the tenant realizes what's wrong. Otherwise, unfortunately(!), the place will soon be vacant again.

I came here for lunch with my mom. The food was delicious, and the hospitality is truly a tradition here. The restaurant has a cozy, pleasant atmosphere, and the staff is discreet yet courteous. We felt very comfortable throughout our stay. Hot food is very important to me, and this was also met with preheated plates. If we ever make another short break here, we'd love to come back to Adelheid's Spargelhaus!

We visited the restaurant for the first time since the change of management – unfortunately with mixed impressions. The menu looks promising at first glance, but the food wasn't quite as tasty as it should be. Overall, it lacked refinement and seasoning – both in the meat and fish, as well as in the side dishes. The service also left much to be desired. Given the lovely ambiance and the fantastic location, it would be nice to see improvements soon. In the evening, the restaurant was very sparsely attended – which, unfortunately, often speaks volumes.

Booked a tiny house at the Spargelhaus (Spargelhaus). Beautifully situated next to a blueberry field in the middle of nature. The house is ideal for a maximum of one couple. The amenities are adequate. The house has air conditioning and heating. Poor TV reception. Wi-Fi works perfectly. The bedroom is low and accessible via quite high steps. An interesting experience that we highly recommend.

The food was absolutely delicious; the grill platter for two is enough to feed three big eaters 😄 They even put more on it than the menu says. Highly recommended, we'll be back!

I'm confused... a few months ago, we dined at the venerable old Spargelhaus... the price was high, the food was bad, and the quality was nothing like the previous owner's! We can also confirm the poor service... What's bothering me most, though, is that for months now, the bad reviews have been disappearing, even though I can only agree with them... It's just a shame how the reputation of the Adelheit Spargelhaus is going down the drain, even though the bad reviews strangely keep disappearing... I find it unbelievable! It's so sad, actually!

We stopped in today, at short notice. Which was no problem at all. The asparagus was cooked to perfection, firm to the bite, and not too soft. I don't think I've ever had asparagus served like that in a restaurant before! Excellent. Maybe a dollop more sauce and some potatoes in a skin for second course would have been perfect. We would come back; otherwise, we were very satisfied!

I've been there at least twice a year for many years, usually during asparagus season. Also on New Year's Eve. I find it extremely expensive these days. Especially the drinks. A small water costs €5, and wine is very exorbitantly expensive. Absolutely unacceptable. The staff are very attentive and friendly. The food is OK. Four of us were there at the weekend. The menu stated on the homepage was not valid; only the asparagus season menu, which had been expanded to include a few dishes, was valid. Unfortunately, the chef was unable to make an omelet out of scrambled eggs. After waiting for over an hour for the asparagus dish, I got 6 finger-thick stems that were hard and a handful of tagliatelle. After the waiter asked if everything was ok, I replied that I wasn't full. The waiter then said, well, maybe next time and I could order another dessert. I didn't and there won't be a next time. There were complaints at 2 other tables during our stay.

Our girls' meeting in the Spargelhaus was a visit. Very nice and attentive staff. A good selection of different asparagus dishes (I really liked the fresh asparagus with potatoes and scrambled eggs), a fine selection of different juice spritzers (rhubarb/currant/cherry etc) and the cappuccino at the end was also great! Price/performance ratio is appropriate in my opinion. Conclusion: I would love to come back and I wish the Adelheids Spargelhaus team a good season!

Im Gegensatz zum Vorbesitzer nichts Besonderes mehr. Spargel und Kartoffeln ok, bei dem Rest ( Hollandaise etc.) wurde (vielleicht auch nur gefühlt) viel Convenience eingesetzt. Portionen für den Preis nicht gerade üppig. Erdbeeren, die man in dem Nachtisch sowieso suchen musste, kamen ganz bestimmt nicht aus hiesigen Anbau.

Zum Vorbesitzer eine Katastrophe. Wir waren zum Spargelbuffet eingeladen: Spargel war hart und nur lauwarm, ferner hat Salz gefehlt. Sauce Hollandaise kam aus einer Plastikflasche. Schnitzel waren ebenfalls lauwarm. Kartoffeln waren kalt und es fehlte ebenfalls Salz.

When asked about getting more, the answer was “is that enough or just one more?” Ok strange, but the kicker came with the food. Asparagus with potatoes and schnitzel Viennese style. That would have fit into the children's plate category. 5 sticks (thin ones, should be a pound), a touch of hollandaise sauce 5 half potatoes and a schnitzel the size of my palm. If you ask, you can get something, including potatoes and asparagus, but there is a charge. The bill: 24.50 for a "children's plate" 4.90 for a cola 7.50 for a bottle of mineral water That's fine in a top restaurant, but here. Felt like I was being sent to a canteen. The potatoes we ordered again, 4 or five halves, were also found on the bill with 4€. CONCLUSION, NEVER AGAIN By the way, we felt a little hungry again on the way back and stopped at Taverna Angelos in Dorsten.

Essen war nicht in Restaurant Qualität und überteuert ...eher richtung Frittenbude. Das ambient ist nicht sehr angenehm und wirkte sehr kühl genau wie der Service. Im ganzen bleibt zu sagen: Essen und Service schlecht, Abmiente verschlechtert. Warum muss man alles ändern liebe Neue Pächter ...... dann fällt es einem auf die Füße .....!!! Wir kommen nicht wieder und es war nichts los am Freitag, wo man sonst fast nie einen Tisch bekam .....komisch Kaum Soße und der Nachtisch hatte mit Teramisu war alles aber kein Tera.......

We ate there with a total of 4 people. The food tastes good, but doesn't do justice to the price (too expensive). The portions are OK or large. The ambience was OK. The service was very nice, friendly and accommodating. Personally, we probably wouldn't come back again. But if you want to eat there for the first time, you can do so. Everyone experiences things like ambience and taste differently ;)

What can I say, nice staff, delicious food, great restaurant, all-round carefree package. Have been there several times, always impressed. Were there again today (April 14th, 2019) with 6 people. As always, very enthusiastic and very attentive staff. Zunächst muss gesagt werden, dass es dort seit einigen Wochen einen neuen Pächter und damit eine neue Bewirtschaftung gibt. Wir waren am zweiten Weihnachtstag mit der Familie zum Mittagessen dort. Das Mobiliar ist neu, die Stühle sind bequem, es gibt ausreichend Platz. Es handelt sich allerdings um ein sehr altes Gebäude, die Wärmeisolierung ist nicht besonders gut, es gab zwar einen Heizlüfter, die Wirkung war jedoch eher weniger gut. Meine Frau hat gefroren. Das Essen war bestenfalls mittelmäßig warm. Ich hatte als Vorspeise einen gebackenen Schafskäse, der vollkommen scharf würzt war. Ich persönlich esse gerne scharf, kann mir jedoch nicht vorstellen, dass diese Art des Würzend bei der hier üblichen Klientel besonders gut ankommt. 11,90 € für ein Stück Schafskäse in Olivenöl, vier kleine Pfefferionen und drei halbe Cherrytomaten empfinde ich als zu hoch. Danach hatten wir Nudeln, zum Teil mit Lachs zum Teil mit Rindfleisch. Diesen jeweiligen Bestandteil konnte man mit der Lupe suchen, ich bin auf zwei große und drei kleine Stückchen Rindfleisch auf dem gesamten Teller gekommen. Angesichts dieser Tatsache ist der aufgerufene Preis von etwa 24 € ausgesprochen sportlich. Bei den anderen war das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht besser. bei meinen Nudeln hatte ich den Eindruck, dass diese aufgewärmt waren. Sie waren ausgesprochen poppig und keinesfalls das, was man als al dente bezeichnet. Insgesamt ist bei der Qualität der Speisen deutlich Luft nach oben. Vom Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis her würde ich das Restaurant als überteuert empfinden.

We lived near Raesfeld for a long time, but this was our first time there (and so we can't compare it to before). The restaurant was recommended to us because I wanted to eat a goose breast for Christmas (first holiday), but all the restaurants in the Wesel area no longer had any tables available. However, we managed to get a table for two people at relatively short notice. We ordered the goose breast with dumplings and red cabbage and the grill plate with various types of meat and French fries. The taste of my dish itself was good (goose breast), nicely prepared, but unfortunately both of our dishes were almost cold, the goose was quite dry and there was very little sauce. The dumplings seemed homemade, but I can't judge the red cabbage. The cream dressing on the side salad that was served earlier was relatively tasteless. I think this is a good place to eat a grilled plate with minced steak, pork schnitzel, cevapcici, bratwurst, bacon, French fries and a sachet of mayo, but unfortunately I wouldn't go there again. I found the atmosphere in the back room to be quite uncomfortable (far too bright lights, not Christmassy at all), the toilets were really outdated, the service was quite ok (but the waiter couldn't answer which different types of meat were included in the grilled plate). only mentioned “beef” and “pork medallions”). When asked, I said that the dishes were cold and they asked me to re-serve them. However, I decided not to do that because I had already eaten almost half of it. But then we got a tiramisu on the house. 👍 Everyone feels it differently. Even though I'm admittedly quite picky when it comes to food, I let a lot of things go and actually never give food back. It's always a snapshot and can look different tomorrow. By the way, no one was sitting in the front room and there were only three tables occupied in the back area. Another little tip: The menu should definitely be proofread by a German-speaking person. Otherwise you really feel more like you're in a snack bar. 😕 We still wish you much success and happiness in the reorganization of the Asparagus House!

Before this restaurant was taken over a few months ago, I really enjoyed coming here, we just ate here for the first time after the takeover... what a disappointment! The location is still beautiful, but a lot less cozy than what it was. Kitschy Christmas music and kitschy Christmas decorations. The food is very average, the service is basically friendly and fast, but unfortunately impersonal. When paying, there appeared to be a misunderstanding, which resulted in the waiter charging an extra €5 on his ATM. I hope this was a misunderstanding.

Worth every trip! I traveled from Stuttgart specifically to visit the Adelheids Spargelhaus restaurant – and it was absolutely the right decision! As soon as you enter the restaurant you are greeted by a welcoming atmosphere and first-class service. The dishes were a real highlight: fresh, creative and perfectly balanced. A culinary experience that I can only recommend to everyone. I'll definitely be back!

New cuisine, new German dishes, recommendations for everyone and grilled dishes

After the change of tenant it was no longer the same as before.

Ganz wichtig: Kartenzahlung ist nicht möglich! Wir mussten erst Bargeld besorgen, bevor es an das Bestellen ging. Nach dem kürzlichen Wechsel des Pächters gab es auch einen Wechsel der Karte. Von gehobener gutbürgerliche Küche hin zu Pommes mit Schnitzel, Cevapcici und ähnlichem. Die Zubereitung von Fleisch und Fisch ist sehr gut, leider ist die Karte sehr Pommes-Lastig. Von den ca. 15 -20 Schnäpsen auf der Karte waren nur drei vorrätig. Der Service war nicht allzu gut. Das Ambiente ist auch nicht mehr so schön wie früher. Es bleibt zu hoffen, das es sich um Startschwierigkeiten handelt.

Should open under new management on November 1st, 2024. We spoke to the new tenant on the phone and made a reservation for 12 people by email for November 3rd, 2024. A confirmation email came immediately and the menu was promised to be sent. I called again today, October 29, 2024, to make sure everything was okay. They say that the opening has been postponed to November 15th, 2024 and they don't know anything about a reservation. If I hadn't called again, I would have been standing in front of a closed door with my guests on Sunday!!!!! This is not acceptable. Unfortunately one less location. You have to give the one star in order to be able to post the post, but it does NOT deserve it.

Unfortunately, the house will close its doors forever on September 22nd, 2024. My wife and I were there again today and treated ourselves to culinary delights. A big thank you to the staff and all the best. Marion and Thomas

TOP restaurant, even outside the asparagus season! We have been coming regularly for years. Now we find out about the closure and we are shocked! All the best for the future and thank you for your high-class gastronomy.

Went there for the asparagus buffet. The ambience has charm in the typical Westmünsterland style. The buffet was manageable but tasty. Of course, especially the asparagus.
