They've taken over from an established, successful restaurant, which is naturally a challenge. If they keep the prices the same, the quality should be the same. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case at all. The salmon was poorly cooked, the portion was much (!) too small, and why they served it with bruschetta, tomatoes, and strawberries is beyond me. The potatoes were overcooked and flavorless, and the cooked ham was simply cheap. The soup was poorly thickened. A huge disappointment.

A beautiful place, a place where people find peace. Everything is very natural.

We went to an asparagus buffet today! Yes, there was asparagus! Then there was ham, salmon and two different salads and for the people who don't eat asparagus there was also a chicken schnitzel and a pork schnitzel including potatoes or fried potatoes, so I actually imagine the asparagus buffet to be a little different and everyone else we spoke to and also a few sad sticks of asparagus. I don't imagine a water bath as an asparagus buffet. The service, on the other hand, was very courteous and also very nice. The ambience is just getting old. I definitely won't recommend the house for the next few years and won't come back either.!! That was a sad idea of ​​“Adelheid’s Spargelhaus”

I hope the new hosts are still settling in. One hand often doesn't know what the other is doing. I can highly recommend lamb chops à la carte. 19.95 euros are reasonable for the good quality. Asparagus buffet was disappointing. Lots of mistakes. Antipasti, potato and pasta salad without asparagus don't have to be there, but I was expecting more asparagus ideas.

We were there for the asparagus buffet. Unfortunately, the change in ownership has changed this restaurant for the worse. - Convenience products - poor cleanliness of the sanitary facilities - overwhelmed service - Advertised buffet selection is not offered

Four of us were there at the weekend. The menu stated on the homepage was not valid; only the asparagus season menu, which had been expanded to include a few dishes, was valid. Unfortunately, the chef was unable to make an omelet out of scrambled eggs. After waiting for over an hour for the asparagus dish, I got 6 finger-thick stems that were hard and a handful of tagliatelle. After the waiter asked if everything was ok, I replied that I wasn't full. The waiter then said, well, maybe next time and I could order another dessert. I didn't and there won't be a next time. There were complaints at 2 other tables during our stay.

Our girls' meeting in the Spargelhaus was a visit. Very nice and attentive staff. A good selection of different asparagus dishes (I really liked the fresh asparagus with potatoes and scrambled eggs), a fine selection of different juice spritzers (rhubarb/currant/cherry etc) and the cappuccino at the end was also great! Price/performance ratio is appropriate in my opinion. Conclusion: I would love to come back and I wish the Adelheids Spargelhaus team a good season!

Im Gegensatz zum Vorbesitzer nichts Besonderes mehr. Spargel und Kartoffeln ok, bei dem Rest ( Hollandaise etc.) wurde (vielleicht auch nur gefühlt) viel Convenience eingesetzt. Portionen für den Preis nicht gerade üppig. Erdbeeren, die man in dem Nachtisch sowieso suchen musste, kamen ganz bestimmt nicht aus hiesigen Anbau.

Zum Vorbesitzer eine Katastrophe. Wir waren zum Spargelbuffet eingeladen: Spargel war hart und nur lauwarm, ferner hat Salz gefehlt. Sauce Hollandaise kam aus einer Plastikflasche. Schnitzel waren ebenfalls lauwarm. Kartoffeln waren kalt und es fehlte ebenfalls Salz.

I have no idea how to express my disappointment. So, we were initially "ignored" in the entrance area for a while, then we were given a menu for 4 people. When asked about getting more, the answer was “is that enough or just one more?” Ok strange, but the kicker came with the food. Asparagus with potatoes and schnitzel Viennese style. That would have fit into the children's plate category. 5 sticks (thin ones, should be a pound), a touch of hollandaise sauce 5 half potatoes and a schnitzel the size of my palm. If you ask, you can get something, including potatoes and asparagus, but there is a charge. The bill: 24.50 for a "children's plate" 4.90 for a cola 7.50 for a bottle of mineral water That's fine in a top restaurant, but here. Felt like I was being sent to a canteen. The potatoes we ordered again, 4 or five halves, were also found on the bill with 4€. CONCLUSION, NEVER AGAIN By the way, we felt a little hungry again on the way back and stopped at Taverna Angelos in Dorsten.

Spent a very nice and sociable long evening in Adelheid's Spargelhaus. Cozy atmosphere both outside and inside, which is accompanied by calm background music. Our main courses, drinks and desserts tasted excellent. The waitresses were all very attentive, courteous and friendly. We liked it so much that we won't wait long for our next visit.

The food was super tasty and the service was top notch. We became aware of the restaurant through Landfreuden. The staff is very attentive. The atmosphere is very nice. We'd love to come back. #balu_das_womo

Voordat dit restaurant een paar maanden geleden is overgenomen kwam ik hier heel graag, zojuist hebben we hier voor de eerste keer gegeten na de overname… wat een teleurstelling. De locatie is nog steeds mooi, maar een stuk minder gezellig dan wat het was. Het eten is zeer matig, de service onpersoonlijk.

During asparagus season you will find a nice selection of common dishes in combination with asparagus. The price is expensive and you can expect €19 for the asparagus + usually €10 for the meat side dish on the plate. In return, you get high-quality preparations that taste sophisticated and can end an evening nicely in a nice atmosphere. The staff could be a little more attentive, but perhaps you just like to be served in an uncomplicated manner - there is usually no deeper conversation. Conclusion: Try it out and enjoy asparagus! Also recommended for families!

Preis - Leistung geht garnicht. Essen ist dem Adelheits wie wir es kennen nicht mehr würdig. Wir wünschen uns die alten Pächter zurück..... Essen war nicht in Restaurant Qualität und überteuert ...eher richtung Frittenbude. Das ambient ist nicht sehr angenehm und wirkte sehr kühl genau wie der Service. Im ganzen bleibt zu sagen: Essen und Service schlecht, Abmiente verschlechtert. Warum muss man alles ändern liebe Neue Pächter ...... dann fällt es einem auf die Füße .....!!! Wir kommen nicht wieder und es war nichts los am Freitag, wo man sonst fast nie einen Tisch bekam .....komisch Kaum Soße und der Nachtisch hatte mit Teramisu war alles aber kein Tera.......

We ate there with a total of 4 people. The food tastes good, but doesn't do justice to the price (too expensive). The portions are OK or large. The ambience was OK. The service was very nice, friendly and accommodating. Personally, we probably wouldn't come back again. But if you want to eat there for the first time, you can do so. Everyone experiences things like ambience and taste differently ;)

What can I say, nice staff, delicious food, great restaurant, all-round carefree package. Have been there several times, always impressed. Were there again today (April 14th, 2019) with 6 people. As always, very enthusiastic and very attentive staff. Today 5/5/24 we ate very well again. 👍 Today January 12th, 2025 there again, after the change of ownership, the food was almost as good, the food was just no longer hot enough. 🔥

We went there for dinner and were really impressed. We liked the food really well, and we were served very nicely and our wishes were taken into account. What I thought was great was the fireplace! Afterwards you could sit down comfortably and drink a delicious coffee and enjoy the ambience. We'd love to come back.

Zunächst muss gesagt werden, dass es dort seit einigen Wochen einen neuen Pächter und damit eine neue Bewirtschaftung gibt. Wir waren am zweiten Weihnachtstag mit der Familie zum Mittagessen dort. Das Mobiliar ist neu, die Stühle sind bequem, es gibt ausreichend Platz. Es handelt sich allerdings um ein sehr altes Gebäude, die Wärmeisolierung ist nicht besonders gut, es gab zwar einen Heizlüfter, die Wirkung war jedoch eher weniger gut. Meine Frau hat gefroren. Das Essen war bestenfalls mittelmäßig warm. Ich hatte als Vorspeise einen gebackenen Schafskäse, der vollkommen scharf würzt war. Ich persönlich esse gerne scharf, kann mir jedoch nicht vorstellen, dass diese Art des Würzend bei der hier üblichen Klientel besonders gut ankommt. 11,90 € für ein Stück Schafskäse in Olivenöl, vier kleine Pfefferionen und drei halbe Cherrytomaten empfinde ich als zu hoch. Danach hatten wir Nudeln, zum Teil mit Lachs zum Teil mit Rindfleisch. Diesen jeweiligen Bestandteil konnte man mit der Lupe suchen, ich bin auf zwei große und drei kleine Stückchen Rindfleisch auf dem gesamten Teller gekommen. Angesichts dieser Tatsache ist der aufgerufene Preis von etwa 24 € ausgesprochen sportlich. Bei den anderen war das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht besser. bei meinen Nudeln hatte ich den Eindruck, dass diese aufgewärmt waren. Sie waren ausgesprochen poppig und keinesfalls das, was man als al dente bezeichnet. Insgesamt ist bei der Qualität der Speisen deutlich Luft nach oben. Vom Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis her würde ich das Restaurant als überteuert empfinden.

We lived near Raesfeld for a long time, but this was our first time there (and so we can't compare it to before). The restaurant was recommended to us because I wanted to eat a goose breast for Christmas (first holiday), but all the restaurants in the Wesel area no longer had any tables available. However, we managed to get a table for two people at relatively short notice. We ordered the goose breast with dumplings and red cabbage and the grill plate with various types of meat and French fries. The taste of my dish itself was good (goose breast), nicely prepared, but unfortunately both of our dishes were almost cold, the goose was quite dry and there was very little sauce. The dumplings seemed homemade, but I can't judge the red cabbage. The cream dressing on the side salad that was served earlier was relatively tasteless. I think this is a good place to eat a grilled plate with minced steak, pork schnitzel, cevapcici, bratwurst, bacon, French fries and a sachet of mayo, but unfortunately I wouldn't go there again. I found the atmosphere in the back room to be quite uncomfortable (far too bright lights, not Christmassy at all), the toilets were really outdated, the service was quite ok (but the waiter couldn't answer which different types of meat were included in the grilled plate). only mentioned “beef” and “pork medallions”). When asked, I said that the dishes were cold and they asked me to re-serve them. However, I decided not to do that because I had already eaten almost half of it. But then we got a tiramisu on the house. 👍 Everyone feels it differently. Even though I'm admittedly quite picky when it comes to food, I let a lot of things go and actually never give food back. It's always a snapshot and can look different tomorrow. By the way, no one was sitting in the front room and there were only three tables occupied in the back area. Another little tip: The menu should definitely be proofread by a German-speaking person. Otherwise you really feel more like you're in a snack bar. 😕 We still wish you much success and happiness in the reorganization of the Asparagus House!

It's still a really nice restaurant where you can have a really good meal. Don't let the prices scare you; if you're looking for currywurst fries, you've come to the wrong place. For people who are looking for very good food and want to be full and then expect very pleasant service, this is the right place for you. We have now eaten twice with 2 adults and four children between the ages of 8 and 12 and the children also enjoyed it very much. Above all, the patience and attention from the staff was very nice for all of us. We recommend the Spargelhaus and will eat here more often. I only gave 4 stars for the ambience because something needs to be done in detail here, luckily that has nothing to do with the quality of the food.

Before this restaurant was taken over a few months ago, I really enjoyed coming here, we just ate here for the first time after the takeover... what a disappointment! The location is still beautiful, but a lot less cozy than what it was. Kitschy Christmas music and kitschy Christmas decorations. The food is very average, the service is basically friendly and fast, but unfortunately impersonal. When paying, there appeared to be a misunderstanding, which resulted in the waiter charging an extra €5 on his ATM. I hope this was a misunderstanding.

Worth every trip! I traveled from Stuttgart specifically to visit the Adelheids Spargelhaus restaurant – and it was absolutely the right decision! As soon as you enter the restaurant you are greeted by a welcoming atmosphere and first-class service. The dishes were a real highlight: fresh, creative and perfectly balanced. A culinary experience that I can only recommend to everyone. I'll definitely be back!

We celebrated our birthday once, everything was freshly cooked, the hospitality was a given and the prices were very affordable. We look forward to visiting again. You won't regret it..Top 10!!!!

New cuisine, new German dishes, recommendations for everyone and grilled dishes

After the change of tenant it was no longer the same as before.

Ganz wichtig: Kartenzahlung ist nicht möglich! Wir mussten erst Bargeld besorgen, bevor es an das Bestellen ging. Nach dem kürzlichen Wechsel des Pächters gab es auch einen Wechsel der Karte. Von gehobener gutbürgerliche Küche hin zu Pommes mit Schnitzel, Cevapcici und ähnlichem. Die Zubereitung von Fleisch und Fisch ist sehr gut, leider ist die Karte sehr Pommes-Lastig. Von den ca. 15 -20 Schnäpsen auf der Karte waren nur drei vorrätig. Der Service war nicht allzu gut. Das Ambiente ist auch nicht mehr so schön wie früher. Es bleibt zu hoffen, das es sich um Startschwierigkeiten handelt.

Should open under new management on November 1st, 2024. We spoke to the new tenant on the phone and made a reservation for 12 people by email for November 3rd, 2024. A confirmation email came immediately and the menu was promised to be sent. I called again today, October 29, 2024, to make sure everything was okay. They say that the opening has been postponed to November 15th, 2024 and they don't know anything about a reservation. If I hadn't called again, I would have been standing in front of a closed door with my guests on Sunday!!!!! This is not acceptable. Unfortunately one less location. You have to give the one star in order to be able to post the post, but it does NOT deserve it.

Unfortunately, the house will close its doors forever on September 22nd, 2024. My wife and I were there again today and treated ourselves to culinary delights. A big thank you to the staff and all the best. Marion and Thomas

After celebrating our wedding in the Spargelhaus in September 2023 - surrounded by wonderful food, a breathtaking ambience and an open-minded, very committed service team, we will be guests whenever possible when we visit the Ruhrpott. The quality of the food is unparalleled in the region. The taste impresses with the clever interaction of different spices, which are sometimes not typical for the respective dish. Very clever Mr. Rüb 🤔. We were there again recently for the Whitsun buffet and were once again thrilled by the great selection and good taste. We have never been disappointed here and always enjoy the high quality you offer us. I just can't find anything negative that would cause me to give constructive criticism. Unfortunately, we noticed that the Spargelhaus is closing in October, which makes us very sad because you cannot be replaced. We secretly wish that it wasn't the end but perhaps a creative break. In any case, we wish you only the best for the future, you can be proud of what you represent and have achieved - namely happy customers who think back to you even from 250 km away and are happy to review their experiences with you.

Simply ridiculous 70% of the tables outside are empty when we politely ask where we can sit. Can't offer a seat because you wouldn't know where to sit when the reservations come. You should come back in 30 minutes. Whether inside or outside you can't say anything. We went again and will never come back.

We were there with my parents on Father's Day and there was a buffet. I've eaten from a buffet many times, but it was absolutely delicious 😋. I hope we can do this more often since the owner probably wants to close. Maybe an equivalent replacement can be found. With just as lovely, kind and courteous service.

Es sollte ein schönes Geburtstagsessen mit Freunden und Familie werden ,war aber leider ein Desaster . Das Buffet mit Rippchen war Imbissniveau mit durchgeweichten Salaten und labberigen , fettigen Pommes frittes , das Fleisch selbst zart ,aber vollkommen ungewürzt . Hingegen war die Pfeffersauce zu den Krüstchen total versalzen . Das Schollenfilet war praktisch nicht existent und fettig . Schade , eine riesige Enttäuschung und peinlich vor unseren Gästen . Auch der Service war unsicher , vielleicht Aushilfen , und kannte sich mit den Getränken gar nicht aus . Als wir später beim Zahlen unsere Enttäuschung zum Ausdruck brachten , fand man dies total uninteressant, genau wie meinen Anruf später im Spargelhaus. Immerhin waren wir 10 Personen bei diesem verunglücktem Abendessen und hatten das Restaurant von früheren Besuchen in guter Erinnerung.

Die Speisen sind hervorragend. Der Salat weit und breit der Beste, Bratkartoffeln kross und nicht zu fertig. Das Fleisch auf den Punkt. Preisleistung stimmt hier. Der Service ist überragend.

Wir waren mit einer Geburtstagsgesellschaft von 12 Personen dort. Die Geburtstagskinder wurden persönlich begrüßt und auch eine Geburtstagskarte gereicht. Das Ambiente ist wirklich heimelig, und man fühlt sich direkt wohl. Wir hatten das Spargelbuffet mit allem drum und dran und es war Bombe. Suppe, reichhaltiges Salatbüffet, Hauptgang mit Spargel, Spargelröstis, Kartoffeln, Schnitzel...einfach köstlich. Und zum krönenden Abschluß noch ein leckeres Dessert. Wir hatten tolle Servicekräfte, sodass niemand verdursten musste 😀. Wir kommen gerne wieder...Dann vielleicht auch Mal in den Aussenbereich😊

Wir haben sehr leckeren, selbstgebackenen Kuchen gegessen, der vorzüglich geschmeckt hat. Die Bedienung war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Auch der Hund hat sich auf der schönen Sonnenterrasse wohlgefühlt, es ist sehr grün. Da fühlt man sich gleich erholt. Besonders habe ich mich über die Vergissmeinnicht- Samen gefreut. Wir werden bestimmt nicht vergessen, nochmal zu kommen.

Vorerst, wir sind seit mehr als 30 Jahren regelmäßige Besucher des Adelheids Spargelhaus. Seit über 30 Jahren kommen wir mehrmals im Jahr zum Besuch, gelegentlich zum Kaffee und Kuchen, oder auch zum Spargelessen, fast ohne Ausnahmen auch immer zu Ostern. Das an diesem Ostersonntag bis zu Letzt beworbene Osterfeuer, ein wichtiger Grund unserer Reservierung, fand diesmal nicht statt: Besitzer hätte Grundstück anderweitig verwendet. Wird trotzdem so für den Ostersonntag im Hausprospekt beworben. Kein Hinweis auf den Ausfall bei Reservierung oder bei der Ankunft! Essen diesmal eher mäßig. Zu kalt, Getränke mehrfach nachbestellt, da nicht geliefert. Spargel "Lukuluss" zu dünn, die Lammhüfte zu klein, nicht zart, Fleisch ohne Geschmack (nicht gewürzt) , und mit dem stumpfen Messer: eine Zumutung. Unsere Wünsche zwischen "Medium Rar" und "Medium sehr durch" kamen verallgemeinert in "Medium Kalt": Selbst das Nachträgliche Nachgaren auf Medium funktionierte nicht. Insgesamt in diesem Jahr eher ein enttäuschender Besuch des Spargelhauses. Wir kamen als Familie mit Kindern, haben aber als Familie mit Kindern keine Vorbereitungen für Kinder vorgefunden (wir kennen andere Jahre). Insgesamt diesmal sehr enttäuschend.
