Restaurant "Zur Nappe" in Bad Salzungen

One star: For the great toilets. Have never eaten so badly. Kitchen staff unprofessional Practice, practice, practice...

Delicious, freshly prepared food. Friendly service. Left the restaurant very satisfied.

We spontaneously had lunch there today and were thrilled. From the very friendly welcome to the delicious food, which was also great value for money. We were extremely satisfied and can only recommend this restaurant. Thank you very much and keep it up

This restaurant still had a table available for our dinner. The service, which consisted of the boss and her trainee, were very nice. We were informed in advance that we would have to wait a little longer due to the full table occupancy. The food we ordered was very tasty. Kudos to the kitchen. Thank you for the lovely evening.

On October 5th, 2024, six of us visited the restaurant after making a reservation. The red cabbage seemed a bit overcooked to us, the 3 portions we ordered were served on a plate which was placed in the middle of the table. A meal that was ordered was forgotten and served later. The cordon bleu appeared as a tiny children's portion, which apparently wasn't heated properly (no cheese leaking out). At another meal, the egg listed on the menu was missing. The beef roulade was small, bland and without cucumber. The wild boar goulash was dominated by the dumplings, in our opinion the portion was also very small and the meat was not - as usual - soft. The price/performance ratio didn't seem appropriate to all of us and was clearly overpriced for the quality and quantity.

That something like this still exists: A super nice boss who deals with both the guests and the staff (who are also very, very nice and accommodating) with wit and esprit... The food was freshly prepared, very plentiful and... is highly recommended. A real ray of hope in the service desert of Germany... My absolute recommendation for all guests of Bad Salzungen!

With luck we got a small table for two people on Saturday evening. The roast lamb was very tasty.

Great little place. Food very good and fresh on the table. It's worth taking a look. Staff also super nice. You can also sit in the beer garden, located directly on the market square.

Delicious! We had spiced meat, chanterelle soup, schnitzel and the nappen pan. The meat from the pan was quite small but tender, the vegetables still had a great bite and the pepper sauce was so good that I ordered some more. The schnitzel was also exactly as it should be, with extra lemon for my husband. We were warmly served and our special requests were very kindly received and fulfilled. I can also highly recommend the fruit punch.

Unfortunately it took an hour for the food to arrive...I was really looking forward to homemade spaetzle with chanterelles...the spaetzle were lumps and the chicken breast was seasoned and not tasty...on the whole very expensive and the quality could be improved we were happy and left disappointed...

The food wasn't that good. The service wasn't so friendly at the beginning. We had reserved a table and wanted to eat outside when the weather was nice, but we were refused with a dirty look. We won't go there again.

We've been there several times before, but today we were disappointed. The sauce from the roast lamb was totally gritty and not hot. The beans were cold and unseasoned. The roulade is very hard. Had to wait a long time for food today too. It's a shame, let's see if we come back. P.S. We didn't want to talk about it on site in front of the other people.

I mostly eat regionally, so our choice was the Zur Nappe restaurant in Bad Salzungen. The starter was the spiced meat, which I ate for the first time, was ok, but after what followed I have to doubt that it wasn't from a can... This was followed by the main course, the beef roulade with Thuringian dumplings and red cabbage, tulip and henglein send their regards, it would have tasted the same anywhere in the world... You could eat everything, but if you advertise freshness and you have to understand that freshness takes time , I can understand everything, but the fact that you get such Maggiküchen quality for such a price is a real shame and disappointing.

Nice service, nice ambience, even though the outdoor area is directly adjacent to a parking lot. We were disappointed with the food. If you read the reviews and look at the pictures beforehand, you'd think it was the wrong restaurant. The salad comes from a jar and the chicken slices are a frozen ready-made product. The portion was quite small. It wasn't cheap either. Value for money failed

Small restaurant on the edge of the market square. Our dog was given a water bowl right at the start, which we thought was great. We heard from the kitchen that our schnitzels were freshly prepared. There was dark monastery beer from Kreuzberg, highly recommended. Small, cozy outdoor area, food is highly recommended.

It was just terrible. The service was incompetent and it felt like you were in the restaurant for the first time. People only wrote to each other. Nobody had any insight. Long wait for food. Drinks overpriced, small cola €3.10. The food was pretty good. There was a message in the kitchen not to make such large portions. We didn't feel comfortable and will never come back.

Even though it was already late at 10 p.m., there were at least two more beers. Thanks to the team. So we had dinner the next day. Very tasty home cooking like mom's and everything is fresh.

..and this boss Martina😃...always up for a joke... Our meal today: Steak our four and the nappen pan with asparagus - super delicious. The service staff and the chef also get 5 stars

Unfortunately we were disappointed. From last year, when we were very satisfied, to this year it has unfortunately become a lot worse. A pity!

We waited 1 hour for the food. The potatoes were pale and watery and the sauerkraut tasted like it came from a can. The service team made an effort but you can't pay by card... it's a shame. We were there for the first and last time.

Raw chicken cordon bleu with limp fries. The Cordon Bleu would then probably be put back into the deep fryer/microwave and served again. Then of course it was soaked with fat and no fresh fries were put on it. The pork medallions are very tough and dry, so the price is not appropriate. Unfortunately there was no response from the service, despite the raw and then greasy cordon bleu.

We were here on a Sunday. It was very full and we barely managed to get a seat with 4 people. There is no service on site. We had to wait at the counter. It was worth it. The cake here is great. We had nut cream and an apple cake. And the price 👍 We'll be back 👋

We had made reservations for dinner on New Year's Day and found ourselves in front of a closed restaurant. A board in front of the entrance (which had not been put up the evening before) announced that it would not be open again until January 3rd. “Great” service. Apparently the guests aren't interested here.

Tolles Essen, gutes Bier, nette Leute und eine richtig urige Atmosphäre. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt

Man hat zwar einige Zeit auf sein Essen gewartet, aber das Warten lohnt sich. Es gibt eine kleine aber aufjedenfall ausreichende Speisekarte auf der für fast jeden etwas steht.

Wir haben uns heute kurzfristig zu einem Mittagessen in diesem Lokal entschieden (waren auf der „Durchreise). Abwechslungsreiche Karte, nette Wirtin, schönes kleines Lokal mit interessanten Flair (Schlangenterrarium als Raumteiler). Das Essen war super lecker, jedoch mussten wir sehr lange warten. Hat sich jedoch gelohnt. Das Lokal war voll. Ein Tisch blieb nicht lange leer bis die nächsten Gäste kamen. Viele Stammgäste, herzliche und schöne Kommunikation. Alle Gerichte frisch und lecker zubereitet. Ohne irgendwelche Tüten würde ich behaupten. Gerne wieder, aber da planen wir mehr Zeit ein bzw kommen früher. Portionen sind mehr als ausreichend. Dürften auch gerne etwas kleiner sein!

Sehr gemütliches Ambiente und das Essen ist klasse. Wunderbar, dass es noch heimische Küche gibt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und umsichtig. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Schönes nicht zu großes Restaurant in der Innenstadt, sehr freundliche Bedienung, das Essen war sehr schön angerichtet und lecker, Gerichte sind regional, Karte ist sehr übersichtlich. Bei schönem Wetter kann man draußen sitzen. Es hat uns allgemein sehr gut gefallen, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir haben die Empfehlung bekommen das es in diesem Restaurant Gerichte Hausmannskost gibt.....Hatten uns schon gefreut da wir Hunger hatten.Leider müssen wir sagen die Rinderroulade war so hart das man sie nicht beißen konnte das zusätzliche Steakmesser hat das Fleisch auch nicht weicher gemacht. Das Rotkohl hatte eine Konsistenz von grau braun zerkocht und schmeckte wässrig. Der Lammbraten ging.Die Sosse schwappte bei beiden Tellern fast übern Tellerrand. Wir wissen wie gekocht wird kommen auch aus der gleichen Branche. Schade das wir so eine Bewertung abgeben müssen. Wir wünschen ihnen trotzdem alles gute weiterhin viel Erfolg.

Sehr nettes Personal. Abwechslungsreiche Speisekarte. Wer hier nichts findet, ist selbst schuld 😉 Es gibt sogar sehr leckere vegetarische Speisen. Die Portionen sind den Preis angemessen und das Auge isst hier mit - sehr schön angerichtet. Die Einrichtung ist zwar etwas altbacken, aber hat durchaus Charme.

Ich war mit meinem Sohn 3 mal hier und wir sind sehr begeistert. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und das Personal super freundlich. Wir würden immer wieder gerne hierher kommen, aber wir wohnen LEIDER etwas zu weit weg 😅. Ich kann es jedem nur empfehlen.

Fazit: Gemütliche Gaststätte mit Stammtischcharakter. Mein Partner wurde gleich geduzt, obwohl wir noch nie zu Gast waren, bei mir blieb man beim "Sie". Die Location hat eine gute Küche mit zum Ambiente passender Speisekarte Hier stimmt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Gemütliches kleines Lokal mit sehr netter Bedienung. Gutes Essen zu fairen Preis. Reservierung empfiehlt sich, da nur begrenzt Plätze verfügbar sind.

Es gab Schnitzel mit Spiegelei und Pommes frites, dazu 2 Weißbier. Das Schnitzel wurde frisch geklopft. Schöner kleiner Außenbereich mit freundlicher Bedienung.

Das Essen war mega lecker und der Service auch unter Stress top Alles in allem eine glatte 1+
