Sehr gemütliches Lokal mit einem sehr sympathischen Wirt. Ich empfehle es gerne weiter!

Wir standen Sonntag Mittag auch vor verschlossenen Türen. Kein Hinweis online oder an der Tür. Sehr unprofessionell.

Wir waren am Freitag, 15.05.2026 mit 10 Personen dort zum Essen, verschiedene Gerichte wie Paulschnitzel, Schnitzel Hawaii, Chefsalat, Ofenkartoffeln und Kinderteller bestellt. Essen kam nach kurzer Wartezeit, ca. 15 Minuten zusammen an den Tisch, Schnitzel dünn und knusprig, wie sie sein müssen, Pommes gut, alles in Allem ein gelungener Abend. Preis Leistung sehr gut, auch bei den Getränken. Das Restaurant wsr voll, und niemand ist verdurstet. Wir kommen mit unserer Gruppe ganz sicher wieder ln den Belgier. Können wir nur empfehlen!

Heute am Donnerstag den 30.ten April sollte eigentlich geöffnet sein, der Laden sieht aus als wenn er ausgestorben ist. es gab auch keinen Hinweis darauf, ob und wann wieder geöffnet ist.

Das Essen war sehr lecker, die Portionen auch ziemlich groß. Das Personal sehr freundlich! Wir waren gestern spontan da und haben ohne Probleme einen Tisch bekommen.

Wir waren heute spontan im Belgier die Bedienung war sehr nett! Die beiden Schnitzel Gerichte waren sehr lecker nur leider war die Currywurst eine Enttäuschung es stand 240g Wurst wenn es hoch kommt waren es höchstens 180g und eine Hand voll Pommes und die Hausgemachte Currysoße war kalter Curry Ketchup und für 15€ echt heftig. Schade

Wir waren im Januar zum essen dort und waren insgesamt zufrieden. Die Portionen sind sehr groß und die Schnitzel wirklich lecker! Das Fleisch war sehr gut gegart und zart. Der Service war sehr freundlich. Wir haben uns dort willkommen und wohl gefühlt. Allerdings muss ich trotzdem ein Sternchen abziehen, da wir recht lange auf unser Essen warten mussten (knapp 50 Minuten). Der Weg vom Parkplatz zum Eingang war nicht komplett geräumt. Unterwegs gab es eine große "Eisinsel" die man überqueren musste und die sehr glatt war. Auf der Damentoilette war es in den WC-Kabinen recht dunkel, da die Glühbirne durchgebrannt war. Hätte mich persönlich nicht so sehr gestört, aber unser jüngstes Kind hatte dadurch unheimliche Angst das WC zu nutzen.... Die Anrichtung der Speisen könnte noch optimiert werden und Zitronenviertel wären besser zum ausdrücken geeignet, als Scheiben. Das ist dann aber schon meckern auf hohem Niveau. Alles in allem kann man hier sehr lecker essen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

The food is quite tasty, but unfortunately the selection is rather limited. Variety is nonexistent, and they don't cater to special requests. It's a shame, really; it started out well but has unfortunately declined significantly.

Inedible! Deep-fried schnitzel soaked in grease! Salad consisted of cold potato cubes with half a cherry tomato. Never again, yuck. I still feel nauseous.

Soggy potato salad served as a side dish. The schnitzel and fries were unfortunately lukewarm, overcooked, and very dry. The baked potato was very large with very little salmon. The mixed salad consisted of potato salad with carrots and celery salad from a jar. The ambiance was pleasant. The service was somewhat confused.

Very friendly service, nice ambiance, the salad to start with, finally something a little different from the run-of-the-mill: some potato salad prepared in oil and vinegar, some lettuce with a few sprouts as a topping. Very tasty...we had the "Paul" schnitzel excellent combination with feta cream, garlic, and hollandaise...the steakhouse fries were also delicious. Truly not a pleasant experience. It wasn't crowded, but the wait was still very long. The menu is very limited. The only chicken dish was sold out. The mushroom soup appetizer tasted very strongly of flavor enhancers, and there were no real mushrooms in it either. The main courses were okay, but nothing special in terms of taste, but they were large. The server was friendly, but as I said, the wait was very long. The room was also very cold; we were freezing. We won't be doing this again.

Addendum: The team worked really well together. The food, as always, was simply delicious. And special requests are also catered for. If you want to have a good time in Bad Lauterberg and round it all off with a delicious meal, this is the place for you. It's a shame we can only give it 5 stars. A 6 would definitely be within reach here.

Following our review in 2023/24, we dined at the Belgian restaurant again with a group. We were delighted to see that the quality and taste of the food had improved significantly. Unfortunately, the waiter was very agitated and a bit distracted. We'll definitely be back! It was very nice!

The name Belgian has nothing to do with Belgium, but rather with the fact that the father (in my opinion) was the only one who could handle the Belgian horse breed and knock them down. That's how I remember it.

Four of us (two children) ate at the Belgian restaurant. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, everything was perfect, and we were extremely satisfied. The food was delicious; we were particularly pleasantly surprised by the salad—not your average, run-of-the-mill salad. The schnitzels were very good, and everyone was full. For dessert, we had ice cream, tiramisu, and something frozen (ice cream inside an ice cream) with zabaione flavor. We received attentive and extremely friendly service, and as a farewell, the kids were allowed to choose a lollipop. It's a shame we live so far away; otherwise, we would come regularly.

Very tasty schnitzels, good portions and reasonable prices. We only had to wait a little too long for the drinks for my taste. I find the map a bit confusing in terms of sorting, but the selection is good. It would have been nice if the plates had been cleared until everyone had eaten. Otherwise everything is wonderful!

We were at the restaurant for dinner with six people. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The ambience was also very nice. The schnitzels and beef fillet are particularly recommended. Everything was served hot, fresh and presentable. The salads and soups were excellent. Everything is right in terms of price. We would be happy to visit you again.

We went to the "Belgian" for the first time today. A super nice, not too big restaurant with very friendly and attentive service, but not too intrusive. Salad first of all was very tasty and not too big, mushroom cream soup could have been a little thicker but the taste was an A, steak a little warmer and preferably with a steak knife ;-), but otherwise just delicious, schnitzel was great. Please keep it up, we'll be happy to come back!!!! And our dog was also warmly welcomed!!!
