Friendly service! The ambiance and food are homely.

We spontaneously went for schnitzel today. It was super delicious, with large portions. The service was excellent, and the wait times were very short, even though there were quite a few people there. I can highly recommend it…the prices also match the value. You're paying for a great deal on a straightforward menu. That's how it should be.

A very nice restaurant with comfortable seating inside and outside. Parking is available right next door. The food was delicious and plentiful. We had various schnitzels and can highly recommend them. The fries were also very good. The service was very friendly.

Addendum: The team worked really well together. The food, as always, was simply delicious. And special requests are also catered for. If you want to have a good time in Bad Lauterberg and round it all off with a delicious meal, this is the place for you. It's a shame we can only give it 5 stars. A 6 would definitely be within reach here.

Following our review in 2023/24, we dined at the Belgian restaurant again with a group. We were delighted to see that the quality and taste of the food had improved significantly. Unfortunately, the waiter was very agitated and a bit distracted. We'll definitely be back! It was very nice!

The name Belgian has nothing to do with Belgium, but rather with the fact that the father (in my opinion) was the only one who could handle the Belgian horse breed and knock them down. That's how I remember it.

Four of us (two children) ate at the Belgian restaurant. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, everything was perfect, and we were extremely satisfied. The food was delicious; we were particularly pleasantly surprised by the salad—not your average, run-of-the-mill salad. The schnitzels were very good, and everyone was full. For dessert, we had ice cream, tiramisu, and something frozen (ice cream inside an ice cream) with zabaione flavor. We received attentive and extremely friendly service, and as a farewell, the kids were allowed to choose a lollipop. It's a shame we live so far away; otherwise, we would come regularly.

Very tasty schnitzels, good portions and reasonable prices. We only had to wait a little too long for the drinks for my taste. I find the map a bit confusing in terms of sorting, but the selection is good. It would have been nice if the plates had been cleared until everyone had eaten. Otherwise everything is wonderful!

We were at the restaurant for dinner with six people. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The ambience was also very nice. The schnitzels and beef fillet are particularly recommended. Everything was served hot, fresh and presentable. The salads and soups were excellent. Everything is right in terms of price. We would be happy to visit you again.

We went to the "Belgian" for the first time today. A super nice, not too big restaurant with very friendly and attentive service, but not too intrusive. Salad first of all was very tasty and not too big, mushroom cream soup could have been a little thicker but the taste was an A, steak a little warmer and preferably with a steak knife ;-), but otherwise just delicious, schnitzel was great. Please keep it up, we'll be happy to come back!!!! And our dog was also warmly welcomed!!!

We were here for the second time, ate Argentinian rump steak (highly recommended), the service is very friendly (always with a smile) and the price/performance ratio is reasonable. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back.

Just had dinner there with my husband. We received a friendly welcome even though it was full. After about 5 minutes the nice waitress came and brought us the menu. After a short time the drinks we ordered arrived. The food also came very quickly. We'd love to come back. Food was very tasty. Portion size was great and not too expensive

We were here today with 3 people. The restaurant is inviting and the toilets are very clean. The staff is very friendly. The waiting time is reasonable and the dishes are freshly prepared. The portion sizes are also very suitable for good eaters and the taste is very good.

We went to the barbecue event today and the food and service were great. There was a small buffet set up in the tower where there was a lot to choose from such as salads, dips, different types of meat and much more. You could take as much of the buffet as you could manage and for dessert there was a fresh fruit salad with vanilla sauce, which was also very tasty. Definitely recommended!!

We stopped there today and I can only highly recommend it. Very nice waiter, great service, very generous portion and super tasty. And for freshly prepared food there was a very pleasant waiting time (drinks after 10 and the food after 45 minutes) and it was really worth it. Always my pleasure.

The Belgian used to be THE LOCAL in and around Bad Lauterberg. Unfortunately, the restaurant was completely destroyed by the last tenant. The Belgian is coming back to life thanks to the new tenants. It's clean and well maintained there again. You feel comfortable again as soon as you enter the restaurant. The food, I really have to say, the chef knows his craft and knows how to make it tasty and professional. The Wiener Schnitzel are extremely tender and beautifully crispy. I am very satisfied with the development and hope that the new tenants will be able to make the name, which was dragged into the mud by the previous tenant, shine in new splendor. Definitely 5 out of 5 🌟

We picked up something to eat an hour ago, and our conclusion: super, super tasty, the chef knows what he's cooking in the kitchen. Salad fresh, dessert delicious and the mushrooms on the Jägerschnitzel fresh and delicious. I would also like to eat the version of Schnitzel Paul in Franconia.
